Chapter 14

MELODY'S POV

"Who would have figured it would be so hot!" Trevor says fanning himself. I laugh a little and tie my hair up into a ponytail.

"It's a dry heat quit complaining." I push at his back so he can continue moving forward. The flight seemed to be exactly what I needed. After the... revelation with Dean I felt helpless and disheartened but I took Trev's advice and slept. At first I was too upset to sleep properly but after buying some headphones and listening to music I was out like a light.

"This way Mel I have a car waiting for us." I sigh and roll my eyes. I am overjoyed with having some company, but sometimes it just gets to me how rich these guys are. "And I know you just rolled your eyes but I don't trust the cabs here."

"Ok Trevor. Did you want the address to my hotel?" He laughs and steps out into the sun. You know in Twilight when the vampires step into the sun they sparkle? Yeah well Trevor is probably one of those vampires because the moment the sun hit him it was like God's light was shining down on him. He looked breathtakingly good.

"Actually while we were on the plane I cancelled your hotel and booked somewhere else." I stare at him dumbfounded for a few minutes before I speak.

"Did you tell Miranda that?" He nods and shakes hands with a man dressed in a black suit. He smiles at me and opens the door. Sliding in I take in the beauty of San Francisco. I've always wanted to come to California and tour around, maybe I can do that now. Trevor slides in beside me and the driver closes the door.

"Yes I made sure to confirm with her that it was ok. She told me to tell you to get your shit together and relax because when you come back there will be no such things as breaks." He pauses and looks at me. "She's a hardworker huh?" I laugh and roll down the window.

"Deluxe Events wasn't awarded as one of the most prestigious event planning companies in Canada for nothing. Miranda is a beast, but she's been in the game long enough to know exactly what's she doing and how well to do it."

"Understandable. Though I don't think she likes me much. Anytime I call to check up on things she always transfers me to you, not that I mind." The driver begins to pull away from the curb and we're on our way.

"It's my job to make sure you are taken care of." Is all I say because in truth I can't tell him that she thinks he's an annoying Prince. I chuckle to myself.

"Alright. Have you called Mike?" For a second my breath catches in my throat because I can't remember if I did call him, but then thankfully I Facebook messaged him when we landed that I was with Trevor.

"Yeah I told him I was with you and he said he'll meet us at the hotel... though now that I am not staying there anymore I have to call him." I take my phone out of my purse and look up his number.

"We'll be staying at the W San Francisco." I'm about to protest but he laughs. "Relax my family stays there all the time. I know it seems expensive to you, but to me it's pocket change. I already have a suite booked for you and your girlfriends when they come down later this week." I shut my mouth and pout. How can rich people throw money around so casually?

"Alright. What about our room? Will we be sharing?"

"Yes and no. I reserved a suite that is big enough to give each other privacy but it is still one suite. There are two rooms though, so you can stay in whichever you'd like." I smile at that and continue to stare out the window. A few minutes pass before Trevor pokes my side.

"Are you going to call Mike?" I gasp and unlock my phone

"Whoops!" The phones dials and I thank God I bought that U.S. calling and texting to add on to my plan.

"Hello?" WOW! His voice sounds so different after all these years.

"Mike? It's Melody."

"Oh Hi! I'm at the hotel where are you?"

"Well apparently Trevor switched the hotels while I was sleeping on the plane. We're staying at the W San Francisco now. Do you know where that is?" I hear a low whistle in the background.

"Yeah I know exactly where that is. I will head over there now. Heather is with me, is that ok?" I smile to myself at his modesty.

"That's great Mike I can't wait to meet her."

"Great see you soon then."

"Bye."

Trevor is busy on his phone when I hang up so I continue to look at the sights before me and as beautiful as this city is... I can't stop thinking about Dean. Everything that has happened between us has gone from spectacular to terrible. And now... I don't know if I will ever see him again. I sniffle to myself and feel a tear run done my cheek.

"Hey what's wrong?" I turn to Trevor and burst into tears again.

"I d-dont want to l-lose him!" He opens his arms for me and I cry on his shoulder.

"Aww Melody I know Jake is probably upset right now but don't worr-" I pull back sharply and pout.

"I'm not talking about Jake. I'm talking about Dean." Trevor stares at me for a few minutes before turning in his seat. Concerned I reach out to touch him but he doesn't move.

"Trev what's wrong?" He sighs and turns to me again.

"Honestly I think that is the question of the year. I want to be mad but I can't because this is your life and your decision." He takes my hand in his and squeezes it. "I will stick by your side no matter what." I open my mouth, completely confused on what just happened, but his phone rings breaking the silence.

"Daniels." He answers gruffly, his hand still holding mine. I squeeze his hand lightly and turn back to the window, but when he begins to squeeze my hand harder than before I turn back to see him scowling.

"That's none of your concern." His grip gets tighter and I try to pull out of his grasp.

"I did what I had to do- NO F*ck you!" I'm finally able to pull my hand away as his head turns to mine. His eyes are holding both a sad and furious look before he hands me the phone. I gulp already knowing who's on the other line.

"Hello-"

"What the f*ck Melody! What the hell were you thinking?" I sigh and turn away from Trevor's sight.

"I was thinking I needed a break and I couldn't think well with you always around." He grunts on the line and I bite my lip.

"I understand that Melody I do but did you have to leave the f*cking country? What the f*ck? I could have stayed at the hotel!"

"Would you have stayed away if I asked you to?" His response is immediate.

"Of course I would have!" I shake my head. Of course he would say that... but he never follows through.

"Wrong answer." I hang up the phone and give it back to Trev. "If he calls for me or gives you a hard time ignore him." Trevor smiles at me and nods.

"Whatever you say." The rest of our ride to the hotel is silent, but upon seeing the hotel I gasp. It is huge!

"You still upset about me spending so much money?" Trevor says laughing. I shoot him a look and he shuts up.

"This place just reeks of money Trev." The driver opens the door for me as a doorman comes to my side. He catches my comment and coughs a little. I look up at him and bite my lip. "Sorry I meant that in no disrespect whatsoever." He smiles and help me out of the car.

"Good afternoon and welcome to the W San Francisco. May I help you with your bags?" Standing up I stretch my back and embrace the warmth of the sun.

"Thank you but I have no bags that need to be carried. But I was wondering if you know any nearby stores that I can buy clothes?" The doorman nods and leads the way into the hotel. Now when I said this place reeks of money I wasn't joking. Walking into the lobby I am welcomed to very chic decor. It's lit up everywhere and instead of one main desk there are four smaller welcome desks. Behind the desks is a sculpture of the city of San Francisco hanging on the wall, with streets and buildings lit up. This place is amazing.

As I remain gawking Trevor walks in with an aura of importance, and of course everyone notices.

"Mr. Daniels it is a pleasure to be serving you again." A front desk clerk greets him. Trevor smiles politely and pulls me along with him to check in.

"Good Afternoon I am checking in with my friend. I've reserved the Extreme Wow Suite." The clerk nods his head and begins to type on the computer.

"Yes I have you right here sir. If you could just sign here and present a credit card we can have you two sent right to your room." Trevor smiles and takes out his wallet and hands him a shiny black American Express Centurion card. I've heard about those cards and how exclusive they are... it doesn't surprise me that Trevor has one. The clerks eyes catch the glint of the card and they practically sparkle with dollar signs

"Oh Mr. Daniels you are an exclusive member... I ask you to excuse my misconduct. Are there any ammenities you would like?" I stare at the card and then at both men... how can a card change an attitude so quickly?

"Yes I'd like to have a personal shopper for my friend, she needs clothes." I look at him wide eyed.

"No way I can shop for myself." Trevor looks down to me and smiles.

"There's nothing wrong with a personal shopper Mel-"

"Yes there is. You've done more than enough for me Trev, I want to do something for myself." He sighs and nods.

"Fine forget it. As long as I have my concierge on hand we will be fine." The clerks nods his head and inputs somethning into the system and smiles.

"Alright you're all set Mr. Daniels. Last but not least I will need your ID ma'am so we can input you into the system as well."

"Of course." I reach into my purse and take out my license. He nods as he takes it and swipes the card. He leaves for a second, only to come back with our room keys. He hands me back my license and gives us each a key.

"Here are you keys and your concierge will show you to your suite. And he will inform you about all of the ammenities of our wonderful hotel. Enjoy your stay." Just as he finishes speaking a man comes to us and ushers us to the elevator. When we reach our suite I am greeted to a beautiful view of the skyline. The sun's rays are shining gloriously on the building, giving off a magnificent hue. I couldn't be happier.

"Do you like the suite?" I turn to Trevor and give him a big hug.

"This may not have been what I suspected but it is amazing. Thank you so much Trev." His smile is loving as he glances down at me.

"You're going through a tough time, and as your honorary brother I have to help you out somehow." We both laugh and I run to my room. You'd think at the age of 22 I would be a mature young woman and casually glance around the room... yeah right. I ran straight for the bed and jumped onto it, relishing in the feel of the soft blankets.

"You look like a child on Christmas morning." I look up from the blankets to see Trevor smirking in the doorway.

"Trust me you haven't seen me on Christmas morning. Last year Dean bought me my very own laptop and I was crying like a baby." The memory strikes a chord in me and I look away from Trevor.

"I don't understand how this is so hard for you." I sit up on the bed and take my hair out the ponytail.

"What are you talking about?" He gives me a pointed look and comes to sit beside me.

"Melody, you love Dean. It's pretty clear to see. You want to call him before anyone else. You worry about how he feels, no matter the circumstance. You have constant loving memories of him and you really respect him. Why even bother with Jake? You're just leading him on." I close my eyes.

"I know how it seems but it's complicated."

"No it's not. You've chosen Dean in your heart, so choose him and be done with this."

"You don't know my heart-"

"Yes but you do! When we left Toronto who was the first person you called?" I sigh and look at my feet.

"Dean."

"And when he said he was staying in Paris how did you feel?"

"Broken."

"But when I bring up Jake you just get upset. Am I right?"

"... Yes."

"So get on the phone and call Dean. Make ammends with the guy and get your heart back Mel." I smile at his comment. Checking the time I see it's 4 o'clock here so it's way into the night time in Paris. I sigh and lie back on the bed.

"It's like 1 a.m. over there. He's most likely asleep." Trevor snorts and I peer at him. "What?"

"Yeah he's in Paris as a newly single bachelor with his reknowned bachelor of a brother simply... sleeping."

"Of course he's... sleeping." I say, suddenly concerned. He wouldn't just jump in bed with another woman. He's better than that. I know he is.

"Well I'm not accusing him of anything, but if I were in his situation I would be running wild and free." I bite my lip nervously and pull at the sheets of the bed. Noticing my anxious state Trevor sighs.

"How about we go shopping?I know it's not a normal thing for a man to say but you do need clothes, and you want to shop by yourself... what do you say?" I look up to my brother-figure and give him a small smile.

"I like how that sounds." He grins and offers to help me up, but I decline. "I'm just going to go to the washroom to freshen up. I'll meet you in the living room." He nods and leaves a few seconds later.

"Don't take too long I know Mike will probably be here soon. I guess he can come with us." He closes the door behind him and I take a long and deep breath. The talk Trevor and I just had is still buzzing in my head. How can it be so easy for him to draw such a simple conclusion and yet my mind is still a muck? He made it sound so simple. Getting up I walk to the bathroom and wistfully sigh. This hotel maybe super expensive, but man is it gorgeous. This bathroom is like royalty! But I push aside the jumping child in me and stare at my reflection.

It's been 5 hours since I called Dean and my reflection is looking better. My eyes are still looking a little tired, but I can hide that easily, all it takes is a little bit of makeup. I smile to myself and run a hand through my hair.

"A man doesn't define who you are." I tell myself. I continue to play with my hair.

"My life doesn't revolve around a man." I twist my hair into a bun and use my scrunchie to hold it.

"I am my own person and I will not allow these men to control my happiness." I wash my face and enjoy the feel of the cool air brushing against my skin.

"I am Melody Tiana Peters, and I am my own woman." I wipe my face and sigh. I give myself a big smile and relax.

"Everything is going to be ok." Walking out of the bathroom I feel refreshed.

"Hey Mel Mike is downstairs are you ready?"

"Yes here I come." I grab my purse and turn off my phone so I have no distractions for the rest of the day. Trevor greets me in the living room with a smile.

"You look oddly... rejuvenated."

"That's because I feel rejuvenated. I feel great!" He looks at me quizzically.

"And what praytell did you do within the ten minutes that I left you?" I wink at him and open the door.

"That my friend is a secret." His smile widens and he follows me out of the room.

"As long as you stay in good spirits I'm good." He pulls me into his side for a hug and I wrap my arms around his waist. It's good to have a friend like Trevor. The concierge already has the elevator waiting for us and we thank him as we walk in.

"So what do you think it's going to be like seeing Mike again?" I ask as I watch the numbers of floors descend rapidly. Trevor shrugs beside me and leans against the side.

"To be honest I never wanted to see the punk again, so you'll excuse me if I'm not overly enthusiastic." My words fly out of my mouth before I can stop them.

"So why are you here then?" I see the emotions flit across his face before he answers.

"Because I love you Melody and Jake wasn't the only one who was hurt when you left." I turn towards him and he gives me a sad smile.

"You are the most unique, fun-loving and caring woman I have ever met and the time we spent together at Anguilla was amazing. But you left without a trace and I felt like it was my fault, that I was the one to push you away, and in turn I lost my baby sister." I touch his arm and I feel his muscle flex.

"Don't blame yourself Trevor it's pointless." He laughs lightly but there's no real joy in it.

"No there's a reason to why I blame myself... constantly." I feel like this is a movie and the big secret that changes everyone's lives is about to be revealed.

"Melody Jake didn't lie when he said he tried to stop everything from happening and in a sense I'm pretty sure if I didn't do what I had done then all would have been well." He looks away from me and stares at his reflection in the shining metal box, that sends us straight down into a pit of misery as he utters these horrible words.

"I set everything into motion. I bribed the security guards, I sent the video... and I betrayed you."

"I'm confused."

"When Jake recorded Mike complaining about you working with the kids I sent that video to the head of security. When he received it he said he couldn't just convict someone off of a video of a young man's drunken stupor, so I bribed him with enough money to keep him, his wife and their unborn child happy. I told him to find Mike and use him as bait to lure you and your friend in. I did what I thought was best to ensure you stayed with Jake." He looks away from his reflection and turns to me.

"Ok..." His face looks as confused as I felt a few seconds ago.

"Ok?"

"Yes ok. I don't know if you wanted some sort of permission or if you just held that over your head for all these years, but it doesn't matter to me. In fact I don't care at all. What's done is done and I am doing my absolute best not to harbour grudges over things I cannot change." His mouth falls agape and I giggle.

"Melody...who the hell are you?" The elevator dings and we walk into the lobby. Mike and his girlfriend Heather are waiting patiently The Living Room Bar. Before we reach them I turn to Trevor and hug him again.

"If it will make you feel better I forgive you, though I don't think it matters at this point. We're still adopted brother and sister and I still love you as if we were truly related. Now close your mouth and put on a happy face, they are sitting right there." He turns to me slowly and engulfs me in a big hug.

"You will never truly understand how grateful I am for this Mel. Really." I smile at him and turn towards the couple. Getting closer I notice that Mike has matured. He has a light beard and short hair. His face has lost the baby fat and he has prominent cheek and jaw bones. His ears kind of stick out with the way his hair is cut but it adds to his mature look. Wearing jeans and a plain white t-shirt he makes casual look so sexy. He's talking to Heather who looks even better in person than she did on Facebook. They are like the perfect match. Heather has blonde hair that flows past her shoulders, beautiful electric blue eyes and pouty pink lips. She looks like a model!

"Melody!" I didn't realize I was staring at Heather so hard until Mike came into my line of sight. I smile up to him as he pulls me in for a hug. His nose buries into my hair and his hands slide down to hold my waist, making the hug feel more intimate than it should be. When we pull back Heather doesn't look pleased.

"Hey Mike! It's so great to see you again!" I turn towards Trevor and pull him forward. "You remember Trevor right?" Both guys size each other up before breaking into smiles and shaking hands.

"How've you been Trevor?" He looks at the two of us before his eyebrows raise. "You didn't?" I shake my head furiously.

"No way! Trevor and I just friends. He escorted me here as I told you." Mike nods his head slowly and steps back to pull Heather to his side. She melts into him and I can just feel the love emanating off of them.

"Melody, Trevor I'd like you to meet Heather." I can't help but notice his hand beginning to play with her hipbone as he introduces her. "Baby this is Melody, whom I've told you about and another one of the friends I made during that summer, Trevor." I open my mouth to protest that they were never really friends but close it quickly. Heather walks out of Mike's grasp and opens her arms for a hug.

"Sorry I'm a hugger if you don't mind." I smile at her and hug her. She smells heavenly.

"That's no problem with me. It's so nice to finally meet you Heather, you're even more beautiful in person." She blushes at the compliment.

"Thank you and I can say the same to you. Though I was expecting to see that gorgeous green-eyed hunk from your Facebook. Is he here as well?" My heart sinks as she inadverently mentions Dean. Trevor catches my mood change and thrusts his hand out in greeting.

"I apologize that I am not as visually appealing as him, but I hope I can do. My name is Trevor Daniels." Heather looks away from me and smiles.

"It's nice to meet you." Now that all of the pleasentries are done Trevor clears his throat.

"Well Mel and I were actually on our way to do a little shopping. Would you care to join us?" Heather looks back to Mike and he smiles.

"Of course! Then you two can come over to my place and we can have dinner." Trevor nods and takes out his phone.

"I'll call my driver." He casually bumps my shoulder to move forward and I thank him. Walking ahead with Mike and Heather I can tell that they are in love.

"Where did you two meet?" I ask as we leave the hotel. The sun shines down on the two of them practically creating a halo around their heads. Heather giggles and Mike kisses her head.

"We met at an art show. I was showcasing one of my first professional pieces and Heather here was modelling."

"Modelling?" I ask. Heather decides to answer my question.

"Yes one of the artists chose to use fashion as his outlet and in turn need me to model it. The pieces weren't entirely made of clothing, it was kinda like art deco?" She looks over to Mike a little confused and he laughs.

"Did I say that right babe?" His hand continue to rub her hip as he nods.

"Yes that's right." Heather turns back to me smiling.

"Great! Anyway the artist was an old family friend and I need the publicity. I saw Mike talking to an investor as I walked across the stage and when he smiled..." She sighs. "Well let's just say I took a little trip. I didn't hurt myself badly or anything but it was enough for the crowd and Mike to notice. I guess that was our icebreaker." They both start laughing as Trevor walks beside me.

"Hey my rental is here, are we ready to go?" I take my sunglasses out of my pursue and fix my hair.

"Ready when you are." He links his arm in mine.

"We'll follow behind you." Mike says already walking to the parking lot. With he and Heather already out of sight Trevor drops his happy act.

"You're doing better than I thought you would." He opens the door for me.

"Yeah well he isn't busting my balls about our past so why should I?" Closing the door he walks over to the driver's side and slides in.

"I was a little surprised when he called you his friend." Trevor laughs out loud and revs the engine.

"Doesn't matter to me really. I have gained and lost a lot of 'Friends' in the past few years, whether or not Mike and I are, is a moot point." We wait for Mike to exit the parking lot and when he does we're off.

"So where are we going anyway?" Trevor has a hint of a smile playing on his lips.

"Well I wanted to surprise you with an extravaganza of a shopping trip but then I remembered this is you we are talking about, so instead we're heading to SoMa."

I nod like I have any clue of where this place is and enjoy the sights. It doesn't take us long to arrive at the shopping district and immediately my eyes catch H&M.

"Let's go to H&M I can afford there." Trevor laughs and finds a parking space. We all get out and wait for Mike and Heather, who kept a steady pace behind us the entire time.

"Hey I love this store!" I turn to see Heather saddaling up beside me.

"Great because I can afford this store." We both laugh and head inside. The welcoming sound of urban music hits us and I try not to squeal. The last time I remember having a shopping trip was with Tara... I should call her. Heather heads straight for the swimsuit section and the guys venture off to the men's section. Sneaking away to a secluded area I turn on my phone and call Tara.

"Mel?"

"Hey Tare."

"So I'm guessing you landed fine?"

"Yeah I'm fine... Trevor is with me." There's silence.

"Did you ask him to come?" I hesitate before answering.

"No, but in the end I needed him. He's the one friend I have that doesn't have a jaded view of my situation. I've been here merely an hour and I already think I know who to choose." She gasps and the phone is shuffled around.

"Seriously? Who? WHO! Come on inquiring minds need to know!" I take a deep breath and feel a smile begin to genuinely form on my face.

"Dean." She squeals and I have to pull the phone away from my ear.

"Oh my god! That is so romantic! I am so happy for you Mel!"

"Really? I was so sure you would have wanted to me to choose Jake." She huffs and I stiffle a laugh.

"Let's be realistic Mel, you were never one for the limelight. You've always preferred behind the scenes and being with Jake would throw you into said limelight. Your life would be under a microscope, everyone watching you, stalking you, wanting to be you. Sure at first it would seem great but I'm pretty sure all of that hype dies down, and quickly at that. Now I'm not saying I don't think you and Jake couldn't be happy together because I know you could, but Dean... he's more realistic. He's grounded, respectable, sexy, caring, loving and this guy worships you. All Jake ever did was fight and f*ck and as nice as that sounds there's no real chemistry." Tears fill my eyes at her honesty.

"Tara I'm scared."

"Scared of what?" The aching returns and I have to breathe through my nose to relax.

"I don't know if Dean will take me back." She curses, loudly.

"And why the hell not?"

"He said he's staying in Paris with his brother Damen, most likely to forget me. He never said if he was coming back." I sniffle.

"Well he better come back or we will personally fly down there and kick his ass." Laughter bubbles up inside of me and I realize just how grateful I am for Tara.

"Thank you Tare. I needed that."

"That's what I'm here for. Now go shop and peruse until I get there. Don't worry about decisions yet, enjoy your free time." I nod my head in agreement

"Ok."

"Bye love."

"Bye." I hang up the phone and begin to look for Heather.

"Melanie over here." I resist from rolling my eyes and give her a small smile.

"It's Melody." She blushes.

"Sorry about that, it's hard getting used to see my boyfriend's trampy fling in person." To say I'm shocked, just wouldn't fit the description.

"What did you just say?" Heather sizes me up before responding.

"I know you're not deafy blacky. You think you're smart in bringing that Travis guy but I know you're intentions and you're not taking Michael from me. He's mine bitch." I step away from her and burst into laughter.

"You've got to be kidding! You think I want Mike back? Are you delerious? You can keep him chick! I've had way better!" She snorts and rolls her eyes.

"Yeah that is something a slut would say." Now in most cases I would defend myself but as I saw Mike and Trevor walk up behind her I figured there was nothing I could say.

"What did you just say to her?" Heather's face burns bright red as she turns to face her "boyfriend."

"Oh baby it was all a joke!" She tries to run her hands up his chest but he pulls back.

"Do you really doubt me that much Heather? Do you really think I would go running back to Melody after two of the best years of my life with you?" Tears well up in her eyes but Mike isn't having it.

"No wait! I'm sorry! I was just so skeptical about you wanting to meet with an ex. It's not normal!" Mike shakes his head and walks away from her. "Michael no! I'm so sorry! I don't doubt you baby I swear."

She runs to pull on his arm but Trevor stops him.

"Come on the girl looks like she's going to pass out, just hear her out in private. We will continue shopping." Mike shrugs off his hold but nods towards Heather. They both walk away with Mike fuming and Heather trying not to cry.

"So what the hell was that about?" Trevor asks as I try to clear my head and shop.

"She thinks I'm trying to steal Mike from her. How pathetic." Trevor laughs and picks out a sundress.

"I like this one, it reminds me of the one you wore when we first met." He has great taste.

"I like it too." He smiles and rests it on his forearm.

"Well I kind of figured she wouldn't be overly enthusiastic about you seeing him, at least she showed her true colours here, rather than around food." We both laugh and continue to shop.

I buy some dresses, a lot of casual tees and shorts and a few dress pants. I even buy two swimsuits and a few pairs of shoes and sandals. By the time we're finished the total comes to $356.78 which bothers me, but I pay it anyway.

Mike and Heather are waiting for us outside and by the look on their faces, they made up.

"I'm really sorry I misunderstood your intentions Melody. Last year a girl from Mike's past tried to rekindle things with him and ended up kissing him at a party, so I was afraid you would too." The blush returns to her face but I smile.

"That's completely understandable Heather. But just know the only reason I chose to contact Mike was because I felt guilty for the way things ended. I wanted us to be friends and no more. Trust me when I say I have enough guy problems to deal with." Her brows raise as I say that and she cozies into my side.

"Really do tell!" We both giggle and I tell her because it's nice to get it off my chest. Trevor leads us all to his car and begins to drive off.

"What about Mike's car?" I ask as we drive past the stores. The direction we are going in is opposite to the way we came, so we aren't going back to the hotel.

"It's fine I have lots of time before I need to pick it up." He has a mischevious grin on and I narrow my eyes.

"Where are we going?" Heather squeals and she squeezes my arm.

"South Beach!"
