Yay War!

Third Person POV

Perseus watched as the Greek Army matched to the borders of Rome and Greece. The Greek kings were a little angry that they were being ordered around, but when they found out that the Romans were trying to invade and that the Gods were the ones that summoned them, they stopped whining and did as they were told.

King Priam, who was made slightly immortal, was the leader of the Unified Greek Army. I say slightly immortal because he still ages, he just ages much more slower than humans. Every 10 years is only 5 years for Priam.

The Romans already know that the Greeks are coming thanks to the Olympians. Or the Former Olympians.

In the Greek Army, the Spartans and Myrmidons were in the front as the rest of the Greeks took the rear. Leonidas stood tall and proud, his red cape flowing behind him as he lead the Spartan Forces with pride in each step. Many Greeks looked at the Myrmidons and Spartans in awe and jealousy, all wanting to be part of such a fierce fighting force.

Anubis and Horus stared out at the massive army, pride evident on their faces. Horus then turned to Perseus.

'The Egyptian Armies are sailing across the seas right now. They will be landing on a beach that is under Roman Control right now' Horus reported.

Perseus nodded. 'Good, have Wadjet keep the seas clear, tell her to keep a lookout for Poseidon and his Atlantians. I want the Egyptians to worry about the Romans and the Romans only, we shall take the Gods' Perseus commanded calmly.

Horus nodded before flashing out. 'We have also received word that the Amazons are staying neutral in this war. However that can still change with Hera being their Patron and all' Anubis said quietly.

Perseus sighed. 'If they join the war on Rome's side, then this war will be longer than it should be, but the results will be the same' Perseus replied coolly.

Anubis nodded in agreement. 'I agree, but I would rather the Amazons stay neutral than risk the chance that they join the war. It will only cause more deaths than are necessary' Anubis said worriedly.

Perseus smiled. 'Don't worry my friend, I will speak to the Amazon Queen myself. Maybe I can get a peace treaty going with them' Perseus suggested.

Anubis smiled. 'That is an excellent idea, my lord' Anubis replied.

Perseus groaned in annoyance. 'How many times must I tell you to call me Perseus? You know I hate it when people call me 'my lord' Perseus whined.

Anubis chuckled lightly. 'I know, but I still like to show respect to you' He responded before flashing out.

Perseus sighed as he stared out into the ocean that was the Greek Armies. It's hard to believe the Fates want to destroy all of Greece. Sure they aren't as noble as they used to be but they can change.

Perseus was shaken from his thoughts as someone flashed before him. Perseus turned to see Athena looking at him worriedly.

'Perseus, is it wise to go against the Fates?' She asked in a worried tone.

Perseus smiled. 'You tell me, Wisdom Goddess' Perseus responded with a slight chuckle.

Athena blushed slightly at her question. 'I meant to say if you believe we will win. With the Fates against us and the Olympians siding with the Romans, the odds are stacked against us' Athena replied in a hushed voice.

Perseus smiled. 'The odds were against you and my brothers when they fought against Kronos, yet we defeated the Titans and cast them to Tartarus, where they remain still. Kronos is still in pieces and we are still alive despite the odds. So I ask you this, do odds really matter? Or will the drive of the people push them to their very breaking point and beyond, proving that despite everything that is thrown their way, they shall prevail?' Perseus asked in a light tone, making Athena frown at his words.

After an internal struggle with herself, she took a deep breath and turned back to Perseus. 'I believe in you, my lord, because it was you that defeated Kronos not Zeus, not Poseidon, not Hades, but you' Athena replied confidently.

Perseus chuckled. 'Then do not doubt me when I say that we shall be victorious and that Rome will be brought to their knees. The Olympian Council will regret the day they chose power over those that were loyal to them' Perseus said smiling down at Athena who also smiled.

'We should go, Lady Thetis has called a meeting. She wants to update everyone on what's been done and what else needs to be done' Athena said before flashing to Olympus.

Perseus sighed as he too flashed to Olympus and took his seat. The Council quieted down as the meeting began.

'I have called this meeting to update everyone on what's been finished and what else needs to be done' Thetis spoke, breaking the silence that had consumed the Throne Room.

Everyone nodded as Heron stood up. 'We have finished building Temples for all of us, there are now One temple per God or Goddess, both minor and major' Heron stated rather proudly.

Everyone cheered at the good news. 'I also would like to proudly say that already, Greeks enter our temples and are already choosing patrons. It seems Achilles is a favorite as a city has already chosen him as their Patron' Heron finished giving Achilles a grin before sitting back down.

Everyone laughed as Achilles blushed in embarrassment. The room suddenly became silent again as they waited for the next person to speak.

Anubis stood up. 'I bring news of the Egyptian Army. They are currently sailing to Roman land and will arrive at one of their beaches in four days' Anubis said while Wadjet stood up.

'Poseidon has been trying desperately to delay the Egyptian fleet but has been unsuccessful. But the Egyptians would arrive at their destination much faster if Perseus here have them a bit of wind' Wadjet added softly.

Perseus smiled. 'I will not be doing that because their arrival in four days is perfect. The Greek Armies are a day away from the border and another 3 days after that to the nearest city. If we can time the two Armies perfectly, it will give the Romans pause as they will be stuck fighting a war on two fronts' Perseus replied calmly.

Everyone in the room smiled and nodded at their King's genius idea. Everyone knew he was smart, but even Athena was awestruck at his ingenious plan.

'What of the Amazons? If they join the war on the Romans side, it might give the Romans a chance to strike at the Greeks as the Amazons strike out against the Egyptians. Our forces will be divided and may fall against the numerous Romans' Seshat said voicing her concern.

Perseus smiled. 'Good job in thinking about that Seshat, but have no fear. I will be personally going to speak with the Amazonian Queen and will be asking her to kindly stay out of the war or join us. We have no quarrel with them' Perseus replied before sitting back down.

Everyone nodded their heads. 'Would you like me to accompany you my lord?' Anubis asked.

Perseus thought about it for a moment before responding. 'No my friend. I can't go to speak to the Queen with a God of War as my companion. I will have Seshat, Thetis and Isis accompany me as well as Athena' Perseus said looking questioningly at the said Council Members.

They each nodded in agreement and Anubis looked somewhat crestfallen but had an understanding look in his eyes. 'Of course my lord. You can't show up to a peace meeting with a War God' He said chuckling.

Perseus laughed lightly. 'Indeed not my friend. Do not worry, We shall be back before you have a chance to miss us' Perseus stated before turning serious.

'Does anyone have anything else to add?' Perseus asked looking around the room.

All eyes landed on Athena who looked slightly uncomfortable. 'Yes my lord, it appears the Olympians have taken notice that something powerful roams freely in Greece. They are starting to get suspicious that the Persian Council is here but refuse to admit it out loud. However, Zeus has declared that we are a threat and that they are to attack the Persian Council on sight' Athena mumbled softly.

Everyone gasped in shock. They couldn't believe that Zeus would be idiotic enough to actually declare open war against the Persian Council.

'But do they know who is even in the Persian Council?' Horus asked.

Athena nodded. 'They were informed by a son of Hermes. He was killed already but not before telling the Olympians everything' Athena said cautiously.

Perseus sighed. 'We were bound to be found out sooner or later. Though I admit I was hoping for later, much later. But there's nothing that we can do about it now except see how it plays out. But I want all of you to be careful, we are in the radar of the Olympians and I don't want any of us to be taken by surprise' Perseus warned.

Everyone nodded as Thetis spoke up. 'I suggest we all travel in pairs, that way the chances of us being killed and taken by surprise are reduced' She suggested earning her many nods of approval.

'Indeed, I agree wholeheartedly. All Council Members are to travel in pairs from now on until this mess is cleared up' Perseus declared.

Once again everyone agreed.

'Now, anyone else have anything to say?' Thetis asked.

Gen raised his hand nervously. 'Uh yes, um I may have eaten someone's cookies, sorry' He said nervously looking around the room.

Everyone raised an eyebrow at him as Heket screeched rather loudly before glaring at Gen.

'You are my cookies you little thieve!' She yelled angrily.

Gen's eyes widened in fear before chuckling nervously. 'I don't suppose you have anymore right? They were delicious!' He said nervously.

Heket glared at him and drew her bow, knocking an arrow and aiming at Gen. She released the arrow and smiled in satisfaction as it hit Gen in his hand before reloading and shooting his other hand.

'Nobody steals my cookies!' She growled threateningly.

We all laughed as Gen rolled around the floor yelling insults and colorful words while clutching his hands and calling for Isis to heal him. Gen's twin brother, Ken, was even laughing at his brother's misfortune.

'Sorry bro, it's just too funny that you ratted yourself out!' Ken said as Gen groaned in pain but still somehow managed to glare at his brother.

After several long minutes, Gen was finally healed and he apologized to Heket who made him promise that he has to make her cookies without doing anything to them. Gen begrudgingly agreed, only because Heket was aiming another arrow at him.

'Well that was funny. Now back to business, does anyone else have anything else to add to this meeting?' Perseus asked politely.

Everyone shook their heads. 'Good, meeting dismissed then. Thetis, Seshat, Isis and Athena please stay so that we may flash to the meeting with the Amazonian Queen Penthesilea' Perseus said, ending the meeting.

Everyone flashed out except the said Goddesses who looked eager to get the meeting over with. With one nod from Perseus, they all flashed away to the city of the Amazons. When the light died down, Perseus and his escort found many Amazonian warriors pointing spears at them.

Perseus smiled. 'I am here to speak to Queen Penthesilea, please take us to her before conflict breaks out' Perseus said as politely as possible.

The lead Amazonian woman who held a spear tip at Perseus' neck glared at him. 'Shut up male, you do not deserve to live for daring to trespass on Amazonian soil' She spat angrily.

Perseus just smiled and waved his hand, causing her spear to melt. 'I believe I said I wish to speak to your Queen immediately' Perseus said smiling as the Amazonians gasped in shock at what they had just seen.

The lead Amazonian looked at Perseus fearfully. 'Who are you?' She asked warily.

Perseus chuckled. 'I am King Perseus, King of the Persian Council of Gods. I am the Primordial God of Dimensions, Elements, Time, Weapons, Creation, Darkness and Shadows. I am King of Oblivion and Patron of Heroes, who are you?' Perseus spoke calmly, not worried at all about the dozens of spears aimed at him and his companions.

The lead Amazonian gasped in fear as she realized she threatened a God. 'My apologies lord, I am Lady Linda, Captain of the Honor-guard. Please follow me to Queen Penthesilea's Throne Room' Linda said fearfully as she lead Perseus and his escort to the Palace.

'Please wait here while I announce your arrival to the Queen' Linda said once they arrived at a set of Golden Double doors leading to the Throne Room.

Several minutes passed until finally Linda reappeared. 'The Queen will see you now' She said as she opened the doors allowing Perseus and his companions to enter the Throne Room.

Perseus and Athena looked around in wonder at the grand Throne Room. It was a deep gold color with many designs of Athenian battles on the walls and even in the columns that decorated the room. In front of them stood the Queen herself, in a golden skin right dress and gold sandals with a golden tiara adorning her head. (Omg that's a lot of gold!)

The Queen smiled but it was obvious she was wary of her guests.

'Welcome to my Palace King Perseus. I was not expecting a visit from a God today' She said in a calm voice, gesturing for Perseus to take a seat in a chair in front of her.

Perseus smiled as he took a seat. 'It's alright Queen Penthesilea, I am here concerning the war between Greece and Rome' Perseus replied calmly.

The smile disappeared from the Queen's lips. 'Please call me Lea, and what about the war?' She asked suspiciously.

'Well you must know that we, The Persian Council, are backing up the Greeks. I want to know if you are going to get involved, and if you are, I wish to convince you to stay neutral' Perseus spoke in an even tone.

Lea frowned. 'Lady Hera was here recently asking us to aid the Romans. I told her that I would think on it' Lea replied softly.

'You must know that Rome will fall just as surely as Troy fell. If you join the war, it will not change the outcome of the war, only how much blood shall be spilt' Athena said in a wise tone.

Lea turned to Athena. 'And how would you know that? Last I heard, Greece was fated to fall to Rome. And why are you backing up the Greeks when your family backs up the Romans?' She asked.

Athena scowled. 'I am with King Perseus, the greatest king that's ever lived. And if you must know, Greece will not fall while the Persian Council supports them and aids them. I am with Perseus because he is a kind king and unlike my father, he doesn't order me around or disregards my opinions without a second thought' Athena said a bit angrily.

Perseus blushed slightly as Isis, Thetis and Seshat nodded in agreement.

Lea gave them a thoughtful frown before responding. 'What do you suggest I do then? I can't refuse Hera, she's our Patron' She asked.

Perseus smiled. 'I would like to make an alliance with you. I wish for us to be friends and allies, that way you cannot wage war against Greece or Egypt' Perseus suggested.

Lea frowned. 'Egypt? Are they getting involved too?' She asked puzzled.

Seshat laughed softly. 'Of course they are getting involved. We are their Gods after all, not to mention the Egyptian King is a priest of Perseus' Seshat replied.

Lea gasped in shock at the news. She clearly didn't know the Egyptians were getting involved, nor did she know that the Persian Council were Egyptian Gods.

Lea sighed. 'Very well, let us write down this treaty' Lea said before calling a servant over to bring her paper and ink.
