Chapter Five: New Friends!

Third Person POV

King Perseus sat and listened to his Council as they filled him in on what has been happening. Perseus learned that the Olympian Gods arguing about a city named Troy. Perseus frowned when he learned that his siblings were arguing about whom to aid.

'Well, that's basically it, nothing else has happened that is interesting' Anubis stated.

Perseus smiled, his interest peaked by the mention of Troy. He always wanted to see that city. He knew it was destined to be burned to the ground, but he wanted to see it happen himself.

'Well, I am intrigued by what I am hearing about Troy. A child of Thetis is supposed to burn Troy to the ground right?' I asked curiously.

Isis nodded. 'Yes, she dipped her child, Achilles, in the River Styx, making him invincible. She went to the Olympian Council and asked that he be given immortality but they refused, saying that he could be a threat' Isis spoke, earning nods from the gathered Council.

Perseus gave a thoughtful look as he pondered what he's learned. He was very much interested in meeting this Achilles that he's been hearing so much.

'I wish to meet with this child. He sounds very interesting' Perseus declared and looked over to Isis.

'Isis, will you please retrieve him and his mother and bring them here?' Perseus asked.

Isis nodded. 'Of course, my lord' She said bowing her head and flashing away.

Perseus nodded and looked down to where Zoë was sitting. 'Zoë, I have a proposition for you' Perseus spoke calmly.

Zoë looked up at the mention of her name. 'Yes my lord? What is it?' She asked politely.

Perseus looked at her sadly. 'Child, you have suffered much at the hands of a boy. You lost your family and immortality. When I first met you, I promised you aid, and aid you I will' Perseus said, a small smile gracing his lips.

'I have given some thought to this and I believe I know exactly where you would be happy. How would you like to join Artemis' Hunters?' Perseus asked curiously.

Zoë's eyes widened. 'But my lord, don't you hate the Olympians? Why would you want me with an Olympian? And I don't know, I don't hate all men like Artemis and her Hunters' Zoë spoke truthfully.

Perseus laughed lightly. 'I know you don't child, but I just wanted to give you something to consider. If you join the Hunters, you will have your immortality back, and you would have a family that will care for you. And I don't hate Artemis, she, unlike her sister Aphrodite, knows how to close her damn legs. Her and Hestia are the only Olympians I actually respect' Perseus responded.

Zoë as well as the Council laughed at the mention of Aphrodite, and Hathor scoffed.

'And I know you don't hate all men like Artemis, but that's a good thing. You have seen and experienced the evil of men through Heracles, but you have also met me and the male Gods of this Council. All of them are honorable, and I believe Artemis needs a little reminder of that fact' Perseus finished with a smile.

Zoë smiled up at Perseus, knowing he was right. And the thought of having another family that would love her as she was, definitely got her attention. She did want a new family, but she was afraid that they would betray her just like her sisters did.

'If I go, can I come back here if I wanted? If you know, if I change my mind?' Zoë asked nervously.

Perseus gave her a warm smile. 'Of course. I also have something else to ask you, it is definitely your choice of course' Perseus said, suddenly sounding nervous.

Zoë looked up at him wondering what he wanted to say. She had never expected to see such a Powerful Primordial God nervous.

'As you may know, I am a Virgin God and do not have any children. I was wondering if I may adopt you. You would still be able to join the Hunters, and you may come and visit me whenever you want. But you can say no if you don't want to' Perseus said softly.

The entire Council sat there shocked that Perseus wanted to adopt a child, let alone a child of a Titan. Zoë herself was immensely shocked out of her mind. Her heart suddenly started to beat faster as her emotions overwhelmed her. She always wanted a father that loved her and here she was, being asked if she wanted a new father.

'I would be honored to be your daughter...father' Zoë said without hesitation, her eyes brimming with tears of joy.

Zoë shot up from her seat and ran to her new father, who was shrinking down to Human Size. She jumped in his open arms, hugging him like her life depended, tears sliding down her face.

Perseus too was having tears roll down his face. He was happy that he finally had a daughter. He hugged Zoë just as hard as Zoë hugged him.

Perseus pulled away from Zoë first and placed a glowing hand on her forehead. 'You are now Zoë Nightshade Void Oblivion, Princess of Oblivion and Egypt' He said as the light died down.

'I have given you my blessing. You now have total control over all Elements and a little control over Shadows' Perseus spoke happily as Zoë stood there shocked.

'Thank you father!' She said crushing Perseus in another bear hug.

Perseus smiled. 'Anything for my daughter' He said proudly.

'Now I shall flash you to Artemis' Camp. Tell them that you are a daughter of Atlas. It will be more believable than you saying you are my daughter. And do try to have fun!' Perseus said as Zoë smiled up at him.

'Thank you father. But how will I be able to contact you while I'm with the Hunters?' Zoë asked curiously. She did not want to lose contact with her father.

Perseus smiled and conjured up a beautiful necklace. It was gold with a dark stone with Perseus' Symbol inscribed in it. 'Click the symbol here and I will be able to hear you and you will be able to hear me too. Do not worry about anybody recognizing my Symbol, they have all but forgotten anyways' Perseus said smiling as he put it around Zoë's neck.

Perseus also conjured up a bow. The bow was pitch black and radiated power. He changed something in the language of Oblivion and it shrunk and changed into a black ring with a dark blue stone with a symbol inscribed in it.

'And here, this is for you. This weapon is extremely powerful, it is a weapon for a God, I made it into our Symbol of Power. It will always return to you and you don't need arrows, just pull the string back and an arrow will materialize in it. If Artemis gets suspicious just tell her I gave it to you, but make her swear on the River Styx not to tell anybody else, Ok?' Perseus asked.

Zoë nodded enthusiastically. 'Thank you father! You are the best!' Zoë said jumping up and down.

Perseus smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder. 'Now go and get your immortality and make me proud!' Perseus said before flashing her to the Hunters Camp.

Perseus then turned around and grew to his Godly height of 60 ft and sat down on his throne. The other Council Members were all dumbfounded by what just happened. They couldn't believe that Perseus just adopted a daughter AND gave her a powerful weapon!

'Can you adopt me next?!' Anubis asked from his throne.

Everyone in the room bursted out laughing, even Perseus laughed at his question.

'Did I miss anything?' Isis asked curiously as she flashed in with Thetis and a young looking boy.

Perseus' POV

'Actually yes you did miss something, but I'm sure everyone here will fill you in soon. Now, meeting is dismissed. I have a certain child to meet' I said, dismissing the Council and shrinking to my normal 7ft height and walking towards the two newcomers.

The Council flashed away by the time I made it in front of the two.

'Hello, I am Lord Perseus Jackson Void Oblivion, Primordial God of Dimensions, Elements, Time, Weapons, Creation, Darkness and Shadows. I am the King of Oblivion and Patron to Heroes. I am also the King of the Egyptian Council' I said respectfully.

Thetis and Achilles' eyes widened before the kneeled before me. They looked confused but I think I see a little bit of hope and confusion in their eyes and a bit of fear in Thetis' eyes.

'Please there is no need for that. I just wished to meet the Achilles and the mother who bore him' I said smiling at them.

'Of course my lord. I am Thetis, Goddess of Water and mother to Achilles. Please do not harm my son' Thetis begged.

I smiled warmly at her. 'Why would I cause harm to your son? I truly just wish to meet the boy who will be the end of Troy' I said curiously.

Thetis gave me a curious look. 'You don't know what happened to me?' She asked.

I shook my head. 'No, what are you talking about?' I asked, now curious.

'I am sorry, I thought you knew. You see, a little while ago, I was once loved by Zeus and Poseidon, but when they heard I would hear a son mightier than his father, they threw me to the mortal world and forced me to marry a mortal king. I recently killed him for forcing himself upon me' She said as tears flowed down her beautiful face.

I walked up to her and wiped her tears away. 'I am sorry. I apologize for what my brothers forced upon you' I whispered apologetically.

My anger towards my brothers grew ever more. How could they have just thrown her aside like that? This poor woman deserved better than that!

'Your brothers? You mean you mean you are THE Perseus that is thought to have faded long ago?' She asked dumbfounded.

I nodded. 'I am Perseus Jackson Void Oblivion. I'm surprised my name didn't give me away. I am the Oldest Child of Kronos and I was the first King of Olympus. Hell, I created the Olympian Council! It's sad how barely anybody remembers me anymore' I said sadly, a frown appearing on my face.

Thetis opened her mouth and closed it numerous times, unable to process the new information.

'You are the older brother to the Big Three?' Achilles spoke up for the first time.

I smiled. ' Yes, I remember when we were called the Big Four. Those were good times. Before Gods and Goddesses went their separate ways, when all Gods and Goddesses lived in peace under my own rule' I said giving him a sad smile.

Suddenly tears filled Thetis' eyes. 'My King, it is so good to have you back! That day when Zeus killed you, was the worst day ever. Olympus was never the same as before, and it never will be with Zeus as King' Thetis said softly as she gave me a hug.

'I am sorry I have not showed myself to anybody. It's just that I'm sure my brother would try to fight me again if he found out I was still alive' I said returning her hug.

Achilles looked at me in awe. 'Wow! Sir, let me just say that you are my role model! When I was little, mother would often tell me stories about you, how you fought with honor and how nobody dared to challenge you because everyone respected and loved you! I have always wanted to be just like you!' Achilles said in excitement.

I smiled. 'Thank you, I am honored that I was able to inspire you, young one' I said happy to know that I wasn't forgotten after all.

Thetis smiled at that. 'Nobody may follow your laws anymore or even remember them, but I wrote them all down and I taught them to Achilles and told him to always follow them' Thetis said with pride in her eyes.

I smiled. 'Thank you for keeping my laws and obeying them' I said to the two with pride in my voice.

The two nodded. 'My mother taught me to be a gentleman just like you. I will always follow your laws. I even ordered my Kingdom to obey your laws, now my Myrmidon Warriors enforce them throughout my Kingdom' Achilles stated proudly.

I smiled. 'I'm glad to hear that child. Say, how would you like to train with my friend Anubis and Horus, the Egyptian Gods of War?' I asked.

Achilles' eyes widened in excitement. 'I would absolutely love to train with them!' Achilles said shaking with excitement.

I chuckled at his childishness. He was 16 and already had the body of a young adult. He was childish but well mannered, and I like that.

I flashed him to the Egyptian Gods Training Room and told Anubis and Horus to train him a bit. Then I walked away with Thetis.

'You have raised a great man. In the world that we live in now, boys like him are rare' I complimented as we sat down on some chairs in the throne room.

Thetis looked up at me with a smile on her face. 'Thank you my lord! It means a lot to hear you say that' She said nervously.

I nodded. 'You are quite welcome. So tell me, why are you so nervous? I promise I won't harm you or your son' I asked.

She looked at me nervously. 'Well my lord, I broke your one of your laws. I killed a mortal king when your law clearly states that no God or Goddess is to harm mortals' She said tearing up.

I placed a hand on her shoulder and she flinched slightly. 'I am not angry at you my dear. I am angry at my brothers for causing you such harm and at the Myrmidon King for forcing himself upon you' I said truthfully.

I pulled her into a hug and smiled when her sobs started to calm down. I pulled back and softly wiped away her tears. 'Don't cry my lady, your too beautiful for that' I said smiling.

She blushed at my compliment and tried to cover her face. I laughed lightly. 'Thank you my lord' She whispered.

'No problem. I actually have a proposal for you' I said smirking.

'How would you like to join my Council? You would become the Egyptian Goddess of Water, Justice, Punishment and Wisdom(Yeah take that Athena!)' I asked hopeful that she accepts.

She looked at me shocked to hear me ask that. 'You would offer me a seat in the Egyptian Council?' She asked.

I nodded. 'I'm not my brothers. I am not paranoid and power hungry' I said laughing.

Thetis smiled and nodded. 'In that case, I would love to join the Egyptian Council and would gladly leave Olympus behind me' She stated as she wrapped her arms around me.

I smiled and hugged her back. She then began to glow as she received her new Powers and Domains. Once the glowing stopped, she looked even more beautiful than before, which I thought impossible. She now had a perfect tan with long black hair that reached her hips. She also wore a long Light Ocean Green dress that was cut on both sides of her legs from mid thigh. She also wore a gold necklace with her symbol of power engraved on it.

But what made her look breathtaking were her eyes. They were a vibrant ocean blue that looked like ocean waves were swirling inside her eyes. It honestly made her look gorgeous and dangerous at the same time!

Thetis cleared her throat and I noticed I was staring at her for too long. I felt a deep blush appear on my face.

'So what do you think?' She asked swirling around.

I almost fell into another trance but quickly snapped myself out of it. 'You look breathtakingly gorgeous. I dare say you would put Aphrodite to shame in a beauty contest' I answered truthfully.

Thetis blushed and I almost spaced off again as it made her look even more beautiful, which is pretty much impossible!

'Thank you' She mumbled softly looking at the ground.

Oh man, I am falling in love! I never thought I'd would ever love anyone. I always imagined myself being alone with my family around me not marrying a woman and actually starting a family. Wait, start a family? What!?!?

I snapped out of my deep thoughts. 'We should get your son and inform the Egyptian Council that we have a new Council Member' I suggested.

Thetis nodded looking glad to change the subject. We gathered her son Achilles and made it back to the Throne Room where I summoned the Council for a meeting.

Once everyone arrived, I spoke. 'Hello everyone, sorry I called you all so fast after dismissing the last meeting, however this matter is important' I said in an apologetic tone.

The Council smiled. 'It's alright my lord. We weren't doing anything anyways!' Isis said.

I smiled up at her. 'Anyways, I called you all here to inform you of a new Council Member. Please welcome Lady Thetis, Egyptian Goddess of Water, Justice, Punishment and Wisdom!' I said cheerfully from my throne.

Everyone looked shocked at the news but pleased as well. We all clapped as a new throne appeared beside Isis' throne. Thetis walked forward and grew to her new Godly height of 30ft, sitting down on her new throne.

'Thank you all for your warm welcoming!' Thetis said blushing slightly with a smile on her face.

I nodded to her. 'You are more than welcome. Those Olympian upstarts don't deserve a beautiful woman such as yourself' I said truthfully, earning questioning looks from Anubis and Hathor whom received glares from me. It's hard to keep your feelings for a woman secret from a Love Goddess.

They just grinned knowing I had a crush on Thetis. Luckily nobody seemed to have noticed my glaring at Anubis and Hathor.

'You are quite welcome Lady Thetis' Lady Isis said smiling warmly at her.

Achilles looked up at his mom in awe and pride. He always wanted his mom to get the respect she deserved. He couldn't be happier for his mom at the moment.

'Congratulations Mom!' He said happily from where he was standing.

'Thank you' Thetis replied looking at her son lovingly.

Thetis then looked up at me. 'My lord, may I ask that my son receive immortality at the very least? I do not wish for my son to die' She asked sincerely.

I mentally sighed. I already knew I wasn't going to say no to her. I mean seriously, I frickin love her and I've only just met her! It must be a God thing, but if it was, I wonder why it's never happened to me before.

Then I remembered my time with my father. Right, everyone was scared of me, that's why. I mused.

'Of course he may become immortal. Does anyone here object to this?' I asked looking around the room.

Nobody said anything so I shrunk down and placed my hand on Achilles' shoulder. Achilles tensed as if waiting for the pain but no pain went to him. He opened his eyes shocked as my hand left and I sat back down.

I laughed lightly. 'You didn't think it would cause you pain did you?' I asked with a smile on my face.

Achilles chuckled scratching the back of his head. 'Actually I did think it would hurt' He confessed.

'Don't worry child. You have nothing to fear from us. Especially now that your mother is a member of this Council' I told Achilles as everyone nodded in confirmation.

'Thank you my lord!' Thetis said. 'When I asked Zeus to grant my son immortality, he flat out refused and banned me from Olympus' She stated sadly.

I have her a reassuring smile. 'Don't worry about those jerks. They won't be bothering you anymore' I said a bit protectively.

Thetis gave me a grateful smile as I dismissed the Council.

Third Person POV

The Egyptian Council had a long party in welcoming their new Sister to the Council. For the next 2 years, Perseus traveled the world on his free time. Occasionally visiting Greece. On one of his visits, he ran into his little sister Hestia, who cried in joy at being reunited with her brother.

She always knew he didn't fade. She sat down with Perseus and caught up to speed as Perseus told her all that he has been doing since he died. She was a bit saddened when he told her he wasn't coming back, but was happy when he told her that she can visit him in Egypt whenever she wanted.

They talked for a long time before she finally had to go before anybody noticed her absence. They departed, and went their separate ways, Perseus going back to wondering around Greece.

Zoë told Artemis who her father was and she demanded that Zoë take her to him. Zoë refused at first, but then Perseus told her it was ok. Artemis cried as she saw Perseus for the first time in decades. She was happy that he wasn't angry at her, and smiled when he said that she was one of very few Olympians he actually respected.

As it turns out, Artemis often told her Hunters stories of Perseus. So when he showed up, many Huntresses were in awe and were actually friendly and respectful towards him. He would often visit Zoë and end up teaching the Hunters new ways to hunt monsters down.

Alas, even after two years, Perseus still didn't have the courage to speak to Thetis about his feelings for her. Every time they talked, he would end up spacing out which often led to him making up a lame excuse and flashing away with a deep blush on his face. Anubis and Hathor didn't let up as they pestered him about asking Thetis out. Perseus would just glare at them and make them do stuff for example.

The first time Anubis and Hathor pestered Perseus about his feelings for Thetis, Perseus ordered Hathor and Anubis to swim from Egypt to Greece and back. It was quite amusing for Perseus who simply walked across the ocean right beside the two Egyptians to make sure they do it.

Right now, Perseus was in a meeting with The Egyptian Council. They were speaking about the other Parthenon's that requested a meeting with their new King. It seemed that news spread fast because they did not take no for an answer. Perseus was just thankful that the Olympians haven't found out yet.

So here was Perseus and the Egyptian Council, along with every other Parthenons. When they saw that Perseus was back and he was King of the Egyptian Gods, they all kneeled before him begging that he be their King as well. They were all waiting for Perseus to return, and they all eagerly swore Oaths Of Fealty to Perseus before he could decline.

'Thank you all for waiting for me. I am honored to once again be your King' Perseus spoke with an even tone. His voice radiating kindness and Pride.

Every God present in the Throne Room bowed before Perseus, with the exception of the Egyptian Council.

'Now that all of you have made me your King, I want your leaders to join my Council, that you may give voice to problems on your continents here in my Council' Perseus declared, looking at every God and Goddess in the eye.

Everyone was shocked but none argued. One person from every Partheon stepped forward, 6 Gods in all. 2 of them were females.

'Please state your name and domains so you may receive your Throne' Perseus ordered kindly.

The first one, who was an old looking man with a white beard stepped forward. (These gods are made up by me so yeah!)

'I am Lord Roku, Chinese God of Fire and Destruction' Roku said introducing himself, then sat on a Throne that materialized for him.

Next was a woman who had a dark dress on with a tattoo on her right forearm. She would be beautiful if her eyes didn't look so evil.

'I am Eona, Goddess of Monsters' She said bowing deeply to Perseus. She then took her seat on her new throne, smiling warmly at the Council.

Next up were two Gods that looked identical. Both had blond hair and grey eyes. 'We are Gen and Ken, twin brothers and Gods of messages and Pranks!' They said at the same time with grins on their faces. They too took their seats on the Council.

Next was a God with Long dark hair and deep blue eyes. 'Hello, I am Heron, God of Forges, Inventions and Architecture' Heron said bowing and taking his seat.

Perseus smiled. he indeed need a Forge God so he could make more Weapons and Armors. And it wouldn't hurt to remodel Axial(Axial is the Home of the Egyptians! I just made that up hehe)

The last to step forward was a Goddess with light skin tight armor. Perseus was pretty sure what she was a Goddess of.

'I am Raize, Goddess of Battle and Battle Strategies' She said bowing respectfully to Perseus and taking her seat.

Perseus nodded. 'Welcome everyone to my Council. Now since we have so many different Gods and Goddesses here, we can't all be called Egyptian Gods, so does anyone have an idea as to what we should be called?' Perseus asked.

There was silence for several moments as everyone thought of a name.

'How about we call ourselves The Persian *Perseus + Ian equals Persian, not Persia the empire* Council?' Seshat suggested.

The Council thought about it.

'Why Persian Council?' Anubis asked confused.

Seshat sighed. 'Because, We follow Perseus, so I combined his name in with ian and came up with Persian' (Pronounced Per- Si- An) Seshat replied.

At that, everyone immediately agreed, Perseus himself agreeing reluctantly.

And sorry if this chapter was a little boring. The next chapter will contain quite a bit of action, I promise!

I also wanted to say that I'm sorry for not updating sooner. I had this chapter completely finished this morning but when I went to save it and upload it, it didn't let me! So I lost everything! Then I wrote it again and the same thing.
Then when I went to my library, it kept saying update failed every time I tried to update my library :( Hope that doesn't happen to you guys cuz it annoyed me quite a bit.

Anyways after many hours, I finally managed to write everything a 3rd time and so here it is! Hope you all enjoyed it!
