"Here," Jack says, handing me a bowl of mac n cheese. He pulls some napkins out of his back pocket and hands them to me too.

"Thanks," I mutter, pulling the bowl into my lap and placing the napkins beside me.

There's the feeling of tension in the air. Since what happened upstairs, Jack wouldn't let me do anything. When I asked him why when we went downstairs, he replied with a "you're too pretty to cry" which had my face heating up a lot. Still is, actually.

I eat the Mac n cheese kinda fast, not realizing how hungry I was until now. Jack eats fast, too. We both finish in minutes, just like last time. I grab a napkin and wipe it over my face, rubbing the excess cheese off.

Jack turns over to look at me, napkin in hand. But he pauses, sets the napkin down and turns back to face the TV.

I set my bowl on the coffee table, also looking at the TV. I don't even know what was on. I don't think he knew either.

"Cecelia?" Jack asks. I turn to look at him, he was already looking at me.

"Yeah?" I ask, tilting my head ever-so-slightly to the side.

"Can we talk? I just realized that I don't know that much about you," he says, and upon thinking about it, I realize he's right.

"Yeah, sure," I say, slightly surprised. "What do you wanna know?"

"How old are you?" He asks. "Not to be weird or anything. I'll answer the questions too, to be fair."

"I'm 23, almost 24," I reply.

"I'm 25, kinda almost 26," he says. "Where do you work?" He asks.

"Umm... I don't, actually. I haven't been able to find a job," I say aloud. 'Luke didn't like the idea of me working.' "And I know you do YouTube, obviously."

"Obviously," he says. "Favorite color?" He asks.

"Hmm... Just one?" I ask, furrowing my brow in thought.

"Or colors. Your favorite color or colors. Whichever one is easier," he explains in more depth.

"Probably.... Dark blue, emerald green, and lavender," I say, narrowing it down to three. "They're so pretty."

"Yeah," he says. "Mine is red, actually. Not green."

"Really?" I ask, intrigued. I don't think he's said that in a video before. Or maybe I missed it. Probably the latter.

"Mm hmm," he says, nodding. "Favorite food?" He asks.

"Ice cream," I reply quickly and with no hesitation. "Mint chocolate chip, to be exact."

"Mines cookies and cake. But that's pretty obvious, huh?" He asks, bringing up a hand to rub it against the back of his neck. I now realize that we're facing each other, our faces about a foot apart and getter closer with each question.

"This one is important," he says, putting a serious look on his face. "What's your favorite video game?" He asks seriously, no humor in his voice.

"Umm..." I say, thinking. "Maybe Firewatch." He nods his head in approval.

"Hobbies?" He asks, seemingly running out of ideas.

"Umm... I like photography, you know, taking pictures. I'm not that good, though," I begin, trailing off.

"I also like video games, YouTube, and drawing," I finish up.

"Could I maybe see some of your art sometime? Or some of your pictures? I'm sure they're beautiful," he says, looking at me.

I only now realize that he's only inches away from me.

"I'm pretty sure you already know my hobby," he says. "But it's video games."

"I already knew that," I confirm, him inching closer oh-so-slowly.

"Really?" He murmurs, his lips only centimeters away.

"Mm hmm," I hum out as the distance between us disappears, my eyes fluttering shut as his lips touch mine.

This isn't my first kiss, but it feels like it. Sparks fly through the air. All thoughts float out of my head, leaving only Jack. His bright eyes, cheery smile and bubbly attitude. I feel hands on either side of my face, cradling it.

Our lips move in sync. Jack pulls away, and I open my eyes slowly.

"Did I ever tell you that your eyes are f*cking gorgeous?" He asks before leaning forward to kiss me once again, leaving me no room to answer his question.

This kiss is better, our lips already acquainted with one another. It's slower, too. More emotional, somehow. The sparks have switched out with a steady burning coal, heating up my whole body.

My arms instinctively wrap themselves around Jack's neck, pulling me closer to him, leaving absolutely no space between us now.

After a while, we stop for air and pull away, both of us breathing heavily. Jack rests his forehead on mine, our faces only centimeters apart, our breaths commingling.

"Sorry," Jack says, starting to pull away. "That was out of line, I shouldn't've-"

"Jack," I say, gaining his attention and stopping his progress. "It's.... Fine. And no you haven't, by the way." I answer his question, my face heating up even more then it already was.

"Ok," he says, bringing his forehead back to mine. "Can I tell you something?" He asks, closing his eye partly.

"Sure," I breathe out, closing my eyes too. I just soak in Jack's presence. His now-steady breathing, his hands still cupping my face.

"You know... I'm kind of glad that me and Signe broke up," he whispers, squeezing his eyes shut.

I stay quiet, and let him talk.

"Cause when I'm with you... I'm happier then I was when I was with her," he finishes, trailing one hand down to my waist.

My fave heats up even more which I didn't think was possible.

"I like you," he whispers in between my thoughts, so quiet I almost don't hear him.

"I like you too," I whisper back, on impulse.

A half smile crosses Jack's face and he pulls back a little to open his eyes.

"Really?" He asks, his face lighting up.

"Really," I nod a little, pulling my arms from around his neck and placing them in my lap.

"Cool," Jack whispers under his breath, full of wonder.

"I'm... Gonna go to bed," I say, getting up (and off Jack) to head upstairs.

"Oh, ok," Jack says, disappointment shining in his eyes. "Night," he says, trying to sound happy.

"Night, Jack. See you in the morning," I tell him, leaning in and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before retreating upstairs.

When I went upstairs, I missed the sight of Jack reaching up to touch his cheek, which was pink.

Let's just say that I didn't get that much sleep that night.

But then again, neither did Jack.
