O...Kay?

I stood in the middle of the hallway and watched awkwardly as the red head walked out on me. Something about him gave me the creeps. When he turned around and gave me a once over with his creepy emerald orbs, I felt...chilly. Is it because of the eyeliner around his eyes? The other person that freaks me out like that is my father, I don't want to talk about him. I plan on keeping my identity secret while I'm here, I don't want him ruining my life again.

"I can help you." A masculine voice behind me says. I turned around to see a brown boy around my age, man was he handsome. Hey don't take me wrong, I'm just appreciating natural beauty.

"I'm Ayo Adams." He introduced.

"I'm Logan, just Logan."

"So where are you transferring from?" He asked as we made our way to the principal's office.

"I'm from Beastgrovia." I said with a hint of sadness in my voice, I don't want to remember that place– ever.

"Beastgrovia?! How did you cope with all the murders there?! I heard Maru's son was birthed there. Did you meet him?" He threw questions at me not realizing that the said 'son'... I sighed, not answering him. He must've noticed my discomfort because he didn't press further, he changed the topic instead.

"That was Scarlet. He's nasty, rude, obnoxious and you don't wanna mess with him." Well that explains why he just eyed me and walked away. "We're here." Ayo knocked and a muffled come in was heard. We both went in and sat. The principal, Mayorkun, was a good looking man in his late twenties I presume. Man, I'm meeting beautiful people today.

"Here's your schedule. Make sure to obey school rules and don't get in Scarlet's way I beg you, I don't want any trouble with her." Principal Mayorkun sighed massaging his temples.

"He's a she?!" Both Ayo and I exclaimed but the principal a gave us bored and tired face.

"I see you've met her already and don't tell me you didn't know, Ayo."

"I didn't!" He states disbelievingly.

Dean Mayorkun sighed. "Please don't tell her I told you, I don't want her smashing stuff."

Smashing stuff?

"As for fitting in, I trust Ayo Adams can help with that."

"Yes sir." Ayo gave a salute to the man in response.

We took our leave silently until I broke it. "Hey, are you the top student or what? The principal seems to like you."

"Nah, that's Scarlet. I don't get it though since all he...she does is skip classes and sleep in them. I come second place." Ayo scowled distastefully at the last sentence. Somebody is a sour loser but maybe Scarlet cheats on tests. "Nope." The dark boy answers and I figured that I must've spoken out loud. "He...she aces every pop up quiz and solves questions given to her without thinking. I know because I sit right behind him...her." Ayo answered my thoughts, still not getting used to the fact that Scarlet is a girl.

We talked a bit as he led me to the staffroom and dropped me off when we got there. I met the homeroom teacher, Mr Fast and like everyone I met today, he was good looking. We walked to the class and he entered first, causing the room to be silent.
 
"Good morning Mr Fast." Everyone greets as per custom.

"Good morning students, today we have a transferee. Come in."

That was my cue. I made my way into the class and earned myself wolf whistles and giggles, maybe whispers too.

"Hi, I'm Logan..." I started.

"...and you're hot!" A girl in the back finished, not what I was going to say.

"Mayo, be careful." Mr Fast warns and turns to me. "You can continue."

"Well, that's it. As for the rest of info, you'll see more of me as life drags on." I finish with a dazzling smile which sends most girls gasping. I'm handsome and I know it.

"Girls..." I heard Ayo mutter and I smiled knowing that there's someone familiar in my class. My gaze shifts to the girl beside him and I found myself catching my breath, she was breathtaking! She had onyx soulful eyes and matching long black hair. Her pink lips which didn't need lipstick curved into a warm smile when she noticed my stare on her. I looked away sheepishly and some 'awws' of disappointment were heard.

"Shelia! Why do you have to be beautiful?!" Mayo, I suppose yelled at her.

"Yeah, you hogged all the attention!" Another girl supported which caused other girls to agree also but all that was in my mind was her name...Shelia! She's got a beautiful name.

"Quiet!" You can sit next to Scarlet." Mr Fast pointed warily at an empty seat beside a familiar sleeping red head whose head shot up at the mention of her name. She gave Mr Fast a deadly look that seemed to read 'don't you dare!' But the teacher was adamant about his decision and besides there were no empty seats around.

The class was silent, my footsteps being the only thing that could be heard. It was as if everyone anticipated my death or something, the silence was killing me. Finally, I got to my seat only to find the red head's legs on it.

'What a nice seat partner.' I thought sarcastically.

"Scarlet, legs off that seat." Mr Fast scolded in irritation but I could tell he was barely holding his anger in. Scarlet, however, didn't listen to him but looked– more like frowned at me instead. Okay, I've had enough.

"Release the seat rebrum, it's not like I have another place to sit anyway." I tried to keep my voice calm but all she did was to stare– glare at me with her dull eye lined green eyes.

"There's the floor." She deadpanned.

You know when your mind yells burn!? Yeah, I felt that way. I grew a vein and almost lost my cool...almost.

"Scarlet Fredrickson, you're delaying classes." Mr Gozie Fast negotiated but I could feel the impatience in his voice. After what seemed like forever, she gave in and faced the window sulking. Class began as I sat and next thing I knew, her head was on the table.

'She slept off, in class'. I thought.

The teacher was doing a review of the last exams they had but he noticed my partner sleeping and woke her up. Man, she looked totally unfriendly as she glared at the teacher with killer intent.

"Would you mind helping your classmates with the corrections since you got a near perfect score in the last exams?" He asked ignoring her death glare and emphasizing the near perfect score in his sentence.

What happened next surprised me. The scarlet haired tomboy picked her bag up and jumped outside the window next to her. I expected Mr Fast to be mad but he sighed with relief instead and I noticed he wasn't the only one who looked relieved of the girl's absence.

Wow, she is really disliked!
