Jaemin awakes to the sound of his phone ringing loudly on his bedside table. Groaning and sitting up, Jaemin picks up his phone. The contact says "Dad". He answers.

"Dad? What is it? It's like 4 am..." He says, eyes barely even open to look out his window.

"I'm calling to say that Corporate wants me to stay here for another two weeks."

"Ok? What else is new." Jaemin sighs.

"Jaemin.." His father's tone is warning, making sure to keep Jaemin in his place.

"Sorry. Continue."

"I sent some money to your account but I'm counting on you to continue work. Don't slack off and take care of the house."

"Eye-eye captain." Although a playful saying, Jaemin's voice comes out dry and flat.

"Right. I will be home in two weeks. Don't call or text unless there's an emergency. Bye."

"Bye-" but his dad already hung up. Jaemin takes his phone away from his ear, staring at the black screen in his hand. "Not even an 'I love you'. Geez, dad of the year everyone." He yawns and rubs his face. He puts his phone back on the bedside table and curls back up under the covers, hoping to just fall back asleep.

"Yah! Stop messing up my work hyung! Do you want a fucking cake or not?" Jaemin waves his wooden spoon around, bits of cake batter hitting the counter. Yuta continues laughing even though he's shielding himself in his arms.

"Yes yes, I want the cake!" He laughs again at Jaemin's angry face. He pinches the boy's cheeks. "Awww you're so cute when you're angry. Cute Nana."

Jaemin grumbles a curse under his breath before shouting to Yuta's boyfriend. "Sicheng hyung! Come get your mans!"

"No!"

"Hyung!" Yuta laughs at his boyfriend's response to Jaemin's plea. The honey-haired boy turns back to the Japanese man, annoyed. "Oh shut up!" But Yuta only laughs harder.

"Na Jaemin." Another worker, Jungwoo, comes into the kitchen. "We have a large order." He waves a fairly long receipt in the air.

Jaemin sighs and shoves the leech– Yuta off of his back. "Lemme see it." He reaches and grabs the piece of paper. By the looks of it, Jaemin guessed a large group of friends had come in. He reads the list quietly to himself. "Half a dozen mixed macaroons. Two slices of carrot cake. A dozen mixed sugar cookies...a slice of chocolate truffle cake. And two slices of apple fritter pie." He hands Yuta the receipt, telling the older to take care of the order while he goes back to making the cakes.

"But Nana~~"

"I am not afraid to whack you hyung."

The Japanese man gulps. "Noted. I'll be back later." Yuta scurries off to prepare the orders. Jaemin hums in response completely focused on mixing the cake batter before him.

Jeno sits on the grass with Renjun, a box of Pocky between them. They were relaxing at the top of a hill, an old Oak Tree towering above them. Its branches reach out in all directions, making a spider web of shadows on the earth below.

"Hyung.."

"What?"

"Believe it or not, but most sandwiches do not contain sand."

Renjun takes a moment to process what Jeno said before sighing and shaking his head. "God Jeno, there's never a dull moment with you, is there?"

"Nope!"

"You're so weird." Renjun laughs.

"Hyung, look up."

"What? It's just a cloud Jeno."

"Yeah, but it's shaped like a dragon." He says, his fingers tracing the rough outline of a dragon within the clouds above them.

"Hmm..." Renjun tilts his head a bit. An 'ah' escapes his mouth as he sees it as well. "I guess it looks like a dragon. But that one over there looks like a bouquet." He points to a cloud far out left. "See it?"

"Oh yeah, it does. What kind of flowers do you think are in the bouquet?"

Renjun laughs and turns to his friend. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, is it a bouquet of roses, or maybe daffodils...or Peonies!"

"Hmmm, maybe." Renjun looks back to the cloud, the white fluff ball now losing its shape. The once white bouquet now turned to sky mush.

"Rip cloud bouquet."

"Indeed...Rip cloud bouquet."

"I didn't know you could bake Jaemin," Jeno exclaims as he continues to eat the macaroon in his hand.

Jaemin turns to him, a deadpan look on his face. "I literally work at a bakery, Jeno. What do you think I do?"

"I ont Woah." Jeno shrugs, his mouth full.

"Chew and then talk, Jeno. Come on now, I know you have manners." Jaemin sighs, handing his friend a napkin.

"Thanks. I said 'I don't know'."

"I know that's what you said. But you should keep a good habit of swallowing before talking."

"What bakery do you work at anyways?" Jeno puts his hands behind him on the playset, leaning onto his arms to relax.

"Moon Cakes."

"Really?"

"Mhm. It's always so crowded so I have a ton of hours there."

"I go there at least once a week with Renjun. I never see you.."

"That's because I work in the kitchen."

"Aren't you a bit young?" Jeno raises an eyebrow.

Jaemin shrugs. "I guess, but Taeil hyung asked me to work as a baker, so I agreed," he says, grabbing a macaroon from the box he brought. Jeno hums in understanding.

The boys sit in silence, looking up at the starry sky.

"Jaemin?" A familiar voice calls from the sidewalk.

Jaemin turns his head, smiling at the boy. "Oh. Hey, Donghyuk. What are you doing out here?"

"Walking my dog so he can go potty." The tanned male said, pointing at the little dog sniffing in the grass. "I live right down the street."

Jeno eyes the two boys, but mainly Donghyuk. I mean, his clothing was certainly...different.

"I like your skirt Hyuk, is it new?" Jaemin asks sincerely.

Donghyuk looks down at the beige pleated skirt that he wore. "Oh yeah! Thank you, I bought it yesterday with Mark." He smiles.

Jaemin nods, still smiling. "Well, it's really cute. You look good."

"Thank you!" Donghyuk looks down to see his dog sitting, waiting expectantly. "Well," He laughs. "I should get home now. Bye Jaemin, bye stranger-guy sitting next to Jaemin." He waves before walking back down the street.

Jaemin sits back down. "You know him?" Jeno looks at him.

"Who, Donghyuk?"

Jeno nods.

The younger boy smiles. "Yeah, he's my friend's boyfriend."

"Ah..." Jeno waits a moment, thinking of his next words carefully. But he just thinks 'fuck it'. "You'd look cute in the skirt."

Jaemin chokes on his saliva. "Wh-what?"

"I said-"

"I heard you dumbass." Jaemin rolls his eyes, making Jeno laugh. "But personally, I don't wear that kind of stuff."

"Alright alright." Jeno holds his hands up in surrender, trying his best not to laugh at Jaemin's angry pout.

"You'd still look cute."

"I'm not wearing the fucking skirt Jeno!"
