Jeno stretches as he exits the school building, his uniform stiff after a long day of exams. "Ah, it's so nice to be on fall break Injunnie." He says to the small boy next to him. Renjun had been Jeno's best friends since forever, and they were as close as can be, literally and figuratively. Doyoung used to say that they could read each other's minds.
"Yeah I agree, now we have a week off for them to grade all those tests." Renjun nods happily.
"You wanna celebrate at my place?" Jeno unlocks his bike from the bike rack and Renjun does the same.
"I'm not going to that stupid club with you Jeno." Renjun sighs and hops onto his bike. The two boys begin pedaling down the road to their end of the neighborhood.
"No no no, of course not. I was talking about a movie and a shit ton of food."
The smaller boy eyes his friend skeptically "Would your parents like that? To have a messy living room?"
"We could do it in the guest flat as we've done before." Jeno offers thoughtfully.
"Oh yeah...I forgot you guys had that." Renjun glides skillfully down the sidewalk, Jeno not far behind. "I'll race you to your house!"
"You're on Injunnie."

"So Mark..." Jaemin smirks at the boy next to him. "Who's your 'friend' you've been seeing lately?" He uses his fingers for quotations at the word 'friend'. Jaemin and Mark were sitting at an abandoned skate park, a place where they would normally go to unwind and relax.
Mark gulps. "Uh, what...what do you mean?" He glances at Jaemin, the younger still wearing a sly smirk.
"Don't think I haven't noticed the faded lipstick marks on your neck and face. So who is it? Is it someone we know?" Jaemin leans in, his face holding a large smile.
"N-no, you don't know them...I hope." Mark mutters the last part under his breath.
Jaemin sighs and shrugs his shoulders. he sits back. "Ah well, I hope to meet them someday. Anyways, what are you doing for fall break?" He shifts slightly on the edge of the skate ramp.
"Not sure..."
"Are you going back to Canada?"
"No, my uncle got arrested for abusing my cousin. My mom doesn't want me to stay with him for vacation anymore."
"Oh shit." Jaemin's eyes widen slightly. "Is your cousin ok?"
Mark nods. "Yeah, she's fine. Moved out though, went to live with our grandparents."
Jaemin sighs in relief. "Smart move."
"Indeed it is." Mark agrees. He waits a moment before speaking up. "What about you?"
"What about me?"
"What are you doing for fall break?"
Jaemin hums in thought, what was he going to do? "I don't know, sleep I guess. Work, and dance, too."
"That's so boring~" Mark whines.
Jaemin laughs and rolls his eyes. "Not like you're doing any better." He pauses when his phone begins to ring. He answers. "Yellow."
"Shut up boomer."
"Oh, Jisung, hey. What's up?"
"Nothing much hyung. I was calling you to talk about practice though."
Jaemin hums and Mark raises an eyebrow. Jaemin mouths 'hold on', and puts a finger up. "What about practice? Is everything alright?"
"Yeah, coach just wanted to know how free you were this week since it's fall break."
A moment of realization dawns on Jaemin's face and he lets out a small 'ahh'. Mark, figuring Jaemin's call might be a while, takes out his phone and begins to text someone.
"Alright, well, why didn't he just call me himself?"
"Said he was too tired."
Jaemin sighs. "Of course he did." He mutters. "Ok then. I'll text him my schedule. Thanks for calling Sungie."
"Yeah...actually I have one more thing to ask you hyung."
"What is it?"
"Do you think you could start tutoring me?" Jaemin hears a sigh from the other end of the call as he waits for Jisung to finish. "You know I did my exams last week and I just got the results today, they were really bad. My parents said I couldn't do dance anymore if I didn't improve by my next report card, which is in a month. Aka, midterms."
"Oh...Yeah sure, I'll help you out. That's what a good mother does."
"I won't be able to pay you since it's more of a friendly-"
"I didn't say you had to, silly. But we should meet twice a week if you really wanna do this."
"I'm good Tuesdays and Thursdays...If that fits?" Jisung sounded hesitant. Jaemin just smiled.
"Yeah. That works. Meet me in the library after school and we can start next Tuesday, alright kid?"
"Thank you so much hyung, you don't know how much this means to me."
Jaemin laughs. "No problem. I'll see you at dance tomorrow, ok?"
"Ok. Bye hyung!"
"Bye-bye." Jaemin hangs up and turns to Mark, who was still texting. The older, not realizing Jaemin was off his phone call, hadn't noticed the boy peering over his shoulder.
"Who's Hyukie?"
Mark jumps and hides his phone quickly. "Jesus don't scare me like that Jaemin! H-hyuk is no one!"
"Huh? Are you sure about that?"
"Y-yes...?" Mark's voice rises near the end, making it sound more like a question rather than a statement.
Jaemin nods, clearly not believing his friend. "Right, that's why you have 2 heart emojis in his contact name. Of course." Jaemin smirks, pointing at the contact on Mark's phone.
"Sh-shut up! He's no one, really." Mark pulls his phone close to his chest.
"Mk, if you say so."
"I do." Mark sends a glare to Jaemin; But the boy only reacts by laughing loudly, his beautiful smile on full display.
