I waited outside of Aiden's house anxiously with my heart thudding loudly inside my chest. I have already rung the doorbell multiple times but got no answer. It was making me even more impatient. I looked back at the darkness around. I don't see the car meaning at least Mr Wright is not at home. The raindrops fell on the ground mercilessly. I was in so much hurry that I didn't even bother to take umbrella or raincoat and came here running getting drenched.

My hair was soaked with water as the droplets travelled through wet body. My drenched dress was sticking with my figure making them look like one piece. I was shivering with coldness building inside me as the fear just added to it. I consciously wrapped my arms around my little body as I felt uncomfortable when the guard watched at me suspiciously. I put my hand up in the air ready to bang on it loudly when the door got wide opened and I was greeted by Clarissa. She looked worried as her gaze moved along my shivering body.

I moved inward and past her without saying anything at all just to see Aiden followed by Edmund making their way towards the door hurriedly. They stopped and looked surprised yet shocked when they noticed me in this state. I didn't think anything and ran towards Aiden wrapping my arms around him. I didn't care if I was drenched and wiped all the water on him. He held me tight in his embrace without caring for anything else because that truly didn't matter to us. I didn't realize it but I was crying by now. I saw Edmund moving closer to us as he kept his hand over my shoulder.

I sniffed hard and pulled back from Aiden's arms and looked up at him. He looked worried. His blue orbs were scared and worried for me. I made an attempt to wipe my face but forgot it was beyond messier. Aiden put his hands on my cheek and made me look at him as he moved a few strands away from my face.

"Tell me what happened?" He asked. Edmund stood right beside him with no different expressions than him. I can feel Clarissa closer as well. I can't tell anything in front of her. She will worry even more.

"I need to tell you something," I said.

"I'm right here. Say it," He said getting impatient with each passing moment. But he was still calm like always. I moved my gaze around and there were a few workers other than Clarissa who were watching me.

"Can we go somewhere else?" I asked moving my gaze back to Aiden. He looked around for a moment and then back at me as he nodded gently.

He looked back at, I suppose, Clarissa, giving her a nod.

"Get the girl change with something warm. I'll make tea for her so she won't catch a cold," I heard her but I didn't look in the direction. Aiden nodded looking at her again.

"Thanks. We will be upstairs in my room," he said and looked back at me.

"Come on," he said and moved his hand through my shoulder to the back as he gave me a gentle push to move forward. Edmund stayed on my other side giving the support I needed at the moment.

We walked through the stairs to go upstairs and I could feel the stares following me all the way until I was up and away from their gazes.

Edmund closed the door once we were inside Aiden's room. Aiden left me and walked towards his cupboard as he pulled out a sweatshirt and trousers. He walked towards me again and handed them to me asking to change into them. I wanted to tell everything to him first but he was adamant that I should get changed first before I catch cold or fever. He knows very well that if I stay the same for a few more moments then I might actually end up in bed.

I sighed with frustration but made my way towards washroom to get changed into his clothes. Edmund handed me a towel on the way as I threw an irritated glare at him but he didn't bother.

The steams were already floating into air when I came out of the washroom. I dried up my hairs a bit and made my way to where they were sitting on the couch. I got settled beside Aiden as he handed me the cup filled with black tea. I took a sip and it felt divine as the hot drink got down my throat making me warm. I looked outside but the rain was still there. Aiden and Edmund patiently waiting until I was settled. I looked at Aiden once again.

"Evans was at the house and he had a few files with him," I started. They both looked at me with bated breaths.

"I mean I saw them accidentally but that's not the thing..." I said shaking my head slightly as I looked at Aiden beside me.

"I..." I said and left a sob as I looked down at the cup and the steams coming through it. I felt Aiden's warm hand above me as I continued, "I went through the files because they were the similar ones we saw at Elijah's house..."

I looked up at him again. He looked worried.

"And... It had a whole schedule of your dad written on it with instructions about how to kill and where to get the accessories and stuff," I said. His body stiffened as the flash of fear passed through his eyes.

He moved his gaze worriedly and adjusted in his seat. I knew he was scared and worried but I know that he won't let it show. I looked at Edmund who sat still not understanding what to do. His gaze was fixed on his best friend ready to hold him if he breaks but we both know he won't. Ever!

"It said the next victim is Albert Wright," I said completing the sentence. Aiden still didn't move. He was thinking something as his eyelids moved rapidly.

"I'm..." I said and held his hand in mine, keeping the cup away on the table, "I'm telling the truth."

Aiden looked at me. He shook his head and gave me a pressed smile.

"Calm down. Finish that cup and then we will talk," He said. How can he be still so calm? What is going inside his head?

But I can understand as he has always told me this. Whenever you feel nervous and scared in any situation, just do one thing. Be calm. It will solve most of the things. A calm mind can conquer many odds than an impulsive mind.

"Aiden, you are not understanding," I said. He sighed and held my hand tight.

"I'm understanding. Dad and Mom have gone out for the moment. To meet mayor for something," He said.

"He can't do anything to them..." he finished but I wasn't convinced.

"But they will come back," I said with a frown. He smiled lightly.

"Yes, they will and don't worry. I will take care of things. Edmund is staying back for the night as well," he said making me understand. I shook my head negatively.

"There is security around, Faith. They have tightened it. Nothing is going to happen to us," He said again.

"You don't have to worry," He was trying hard but I am stubborn.

"Why is he killing people? What did we do to him?" I said with frustration. I don't understand this. Why? Just why? I felt my cheek wet as the warm fluid crossed through them.

"Faith..." Aiden said but I was in my own world.

"I am going to ask Evans as what does he want from us. I can't take...." I said shaking my head rapidly from side to side.

"FAITH..." Aiden shouted shaking me by holding my shoulders. I looked at him absentmindedly.

"Calm down. Don't be stupid," he said making his voice low as he pulled me closer to his chest. I kept my head on his shoulder securely.

"What do you think? He will tell us everything?" He asked wrapping me in his arms.

"But he should come for us, right? Why Uncle Wright?" I asked still staying the same.

"I don't understand," I said as a few tears left my eyes.

"He might have discovered something. I mean your dad might have been threatening to him in some way," Edmund said. Aiden sighed when I moved away from him and stared at Edmund.

"I don't know but we need to stop Evans now," Aiden said. He was gritting his teeth and I could feel the anger as he spoke.

"Faith, you are going back to your house," He said looking at me. I frowned.

"No, I won't," I said determinedly.

"Listen to me," he said, "I promise nothing will happen to anyone."

"I will inform Mr Moore right now. I promise but you need to get back," He said. My frown deepened but I didn't say anything.

"I can't let anything happen to you as well," He said. I looked at him. He smiled slightly to assure me. I sighed.

"Think about your parents," he said again when I refused to speak anything.

"But, Aiden," I was saying when Edmund cut me off.

"Don't worry, Faith. I'm here with him," He said with assurance in his voice. I nodded a little.

"Nothing will go wrong," Edmund said again.

"Just get back home for now," Aiden said. I looked at him with crooked eyebrows.

"Okay," I said finally giving up as I know he won't listen to me anyway. Both the boys looked relieved with my decision. I understand that they have to save themselves and Aiden's parents and I will just add unnecessary burden to it so it's better that I get back at my house. But I will make sure to come here tomorrow morning. The first thing.

*************

Mom and Dad were sitting in the living room, maybe waiting for me to come as I was in rush to go to Aiden's house. They gave me a worried look and asked to take the car but I was in too much hurry that I took the cycle without waiting for the driver to come and take the car out for me.

They got up after seeing me at the door and rushed towards me. I looked around but Evans was long gone I suppose. Of course, to execute his mission maybe which is going to fail now. I wish Moore would stay hidden in Aiden's house catch Elijah right away.

"What happened?" Dad asked, "Is everything ok?"

"Yes, of course, Mr Anderson," Aiden said putting a smile and acting if everything is so normal. He is way too mature for his age. That's what Dad used to say and I would rub him off saying it's not true and I am no less but I can say that now without any doubt in my mind.

Aiden looked at me and back at Dad as he spoke ahead, "She just got scared after witnessing a nightmare... with..." Aiden looked back at me. I gave him a worried look not knowing what he might say next.

"I guess open eyes so rush to my house," he finished. I gave him a smile.

"You could have talked to me," Mom said getting worried. I feel bad for lying to her but it's for the best.

"You weren't around, Mom and Dad were busy with officer Evans," I said, "I just didn't know what to do."

"It felt so real as if the killer was right in front of me," I said looking at Dad, "I still am scared." He sighed and came forward putting his hand above my head.

"You don't need to be scared, Faith," he said assuring me, "Last time we were unfortunate and not ready but this time we are well prepared. No one can touch you." he finished with a small smile. I smiled back at him.

"I won't let him," he said again and moved his hand away as he looked at Aiden to my side.

"We are all here. Right, Aiden?" he asked putting his hands into the pocket of his pants.

"Of course, Mr Anderson," Aiden said with a nod as he went on, "I should get going."

"Take care, Faith," he said as he looked back at me. I nodded and held his arm tight with nervousness and scare. I wish for him to stay with me right here so he would be away from all of the dangers surrounding him but his dad is our main concern at the moment.

"You too, Aiden," I said, "Please." He smiled and nodded at me.

"I will," he said and looked at Edmund gesturing him. Edmund nodded and looked at me. I gave him a smile as he patted on my arm with a smile asking to take care silently and made his way out along with Aiden.

I turned back to look at Mom and Dad. Dad moved to my side.

"Common, Faith, have dinner and take rest," he said putting a hand on my shoulder. I nodded at him. I don't know if I can eat or sleep tonight to be very honest. I just hope Aiden will be fine.

"If you feel anything then I will be in study tonight. Have some important work to take care of," Dad said again. I nodded again looking up at him.

"Okay, Dad," I said. Mom forwarded her hand towards me.

"Come," she said as I held his hand. She pulled me along with her towards the dining room.

*****************

I closed the door of my room as the darkness filled inside it. The white light of the moon was coming through the window making it lit lighter. The rain didn't stop but was lighter now. I took a deep breath as the thoughts of Aiden filled my mind. I was thinking of making a call at his house but it's past 10 now and I don't want Mr and Mrs Wright to suspect anything. I haven't called him this late without any solid reason yet. That would make them worried. I hope everything will be alright and Mr Moore has already reached home. Ugh! I groaned a bit louder feeling helpless. I wanted to know what is going on but I couldn't. I let myself fall on the couch, still being in Aiden's clothes and looked out of the window in the woods. The leaves were ruffling with the slight wind passing through them. The coldness of the air made me shiver. The shadows of trees falling down on the ground looked a bit scary but I am used to facing my fears after going through so much for past weeks.

I never in my wildest dream or let's say nightmares thought that things could take such a drastic turn and I would end up being here. But there is just one thing that was good about it and it was my relationship with Edmund, Emily and mostly Aiden. We all grew a lot closer than we ever were. I got to know how much Aiden cares for me and loves me. I put my head on the rest still not moving my gaze from the front. I wish I could ask the woods about what happened. The falling water was giving them life making them look afresh even with the darkness surrounding it.

I heard the noise of doorknob moving and looked at the direction of my door. My eyes widened in fear looking at the black shadow shutting the door and locking it further. I moved in my seat in the back direction as he uncovered his face. Elijah smiled creepily looking down at me. I breathed heavily as my brain stopped working completed. I kept staring at that person standing in front of me with my heart beating faster. My chest was moving up and down heavily. I don't know what to do. I looked outside the window when the reality hit me hard making me realise what I am into. He might kill me at any moment. I was quick enough to take my head out of the window to shout at security outside but I felt a deep pain in my head the very next moment.

Elijah grabbed my hair and pulled me back with full force inside the room. I stumbled and fell on my back. There was so much pain which my body experienced but I have to show the strength. He rushed to close the window. I tried my best to get up from the floor and rushed to the study table next to me. I saw him looking back at me and taking big steps. In no time he grabbed me again and pushed me against the wall. His grip was on my neck which was getting tighter. I couldn't even scream for my life. Tears started pouring from my eyes but surprisingly enough my brain became alert as it instructed me to move.

I don't know what got inside me but I moved my leg and hit the right spot and that too with full force. He winced hard as he pushed me to the side letting go of his grip around my neck. I fell on the ground again coughing hard and taking the oxygen inside my lungs. I moved my blurry gaze to Elijah who was sitting on his knees and holding where it hurt him. I rolled on the floor to reach the part of the room where I know must be something useful. I held my neck tight and got up with great difficulty. I moved my gaze to Elijah who was ready for his attack. I need to hurry up.

I ignored the deep pain running throughout my body and opened the cupboard. He once again reached me and held my hair in his grip pulling me back. I closed my eyes as the deep sensation passed through my head yet again. I screamed loudly asking for help but he kept dragging me back holding my hairs tight. I moved my hands and grabbed one piece of cloth as that was the only nearest thing I could feel inside the cupboard. I held the piece with both hands and threw it upwards in the air. I gave it a push back and it fell around his neck much to my luck. His grip on my hair loosen as I think he was trying to figure out what was I doing. But I wasted no time and rushed past him and to his back. I pulled the cloth which was now resting around his neck and waiting for my pull with full force chocking him further. I was thankful for the darkness that he couldn't see what I was up to. He left my hair completely now as his hands moved to his own neck. He fell on his knees. I smirked looking at him even though his back was facing me. Amongst this chaos, I heard the door banging with people shouting for me. I pulled the cloth more choking him further. The door was a little away from where I was so leaving Elijah and going to open the door was out of the question. I kept holding onto him and waiting for someone to maybe break the door. I could hear mom and dad with worry in their voices. The security guards from below were up as well could feel. They were giving Elijah a scope to run again. I won't let him this time. I can't let him kill innocent people anymore. Elijah's hands moved to grab me at back. But I kicked him by pocking my knee into his back making his shout for help. He was bulky but I had a brain. Besides he is old now. I felt someone at the window. I feared that someone to be Tyler. The window started banging along with the door but the window glass got shattered in the ground the very next moment. I let out a sigh of relief when Aiden put his hand inside through the broken glass and opened the lock. He pushed the window further and jumped inside. I smiled losing all the strength at once and fell on the ground without any consciousness. I saw Elijah moving quickly to grab me but Aiden hit him hard on the head making him fall beside me.

Aiden rushed to my side to check on me as he put his arm below my back and lifted me upwards. The worry was visible on his face as I smiled looking at him. My head and whole body were paining but I kept the smile intact. I moved my gaze to Elijah who was lying unconscious. I looked at Aiden blankly because I was done for today. I couldn't think, I couldn't move, I just wanted to lie there just like that. Aiden grabbed me and lifted me up and helped me lie down on the bed. He moved back and opened the door finally letting the people outside in. I could see Emily and Edmund along with Mom, Dad and Mr Moore, Mr Evans and a few officers rushing inside. Other officers took hold of Elijah while the rest people surrounded me with tears and worry all over their faces. I was too numb to react to anyone. So I just closed my eyes shut and fell into a deep sleep.

************

The rays of the sun fell on my eyes but I struggled to be awake. I blinked my eyes a few times to get a clear idea about my surroundings and I could see some unfamiliar surrounding. I was in the hospital. I looked around further to see Aiden sleeping on the couch along with Edmund. I sighed and grabbed my neck as it hurt. My head is kind of ok now but I feel like someone has taken out all the strands from my head. I whined in pain as a tear slid through the edge of my eye.

I sniffed when I heard a ruffling sound. I didn't move my gaze this time but moved my eyelids and I could feel Aiden making his way towards me.

"Are you okay?" he asked with concern and sat beside me. I gestured with eyes and I could feel a lump inside my throat which can make me lose my shit at any moment. I have so many questions for him but I stayed quiet at least for a few moments.

Another tear slid through my eye and I sniffed again closing my eyes as I cried silently careful enough to not wake Edmund up. Aiden moved in his seat to come closer to me and wiped the tears from my eyes.

"I sent your Mom and Dad back home as they didn't look good," he said in a low voice. I nodded and looked at him as he kept on wiping my tears away.

"How..." I asked and stopped to sniff. I looked at him with watery eyes as I spoke further, "How do you..."

He got what I was asking for as he sighed. I struggled to sit straight in bed. Aiden helped me with it by putting a cushion behind my back.

"When we were going back after leaving you, I saw Tyler talking with Evans. They got into the car and went somewhere. I feared Elijah must be at my place so I called Moore from a booth and informed him about mom and dad. I requested him that I have a doubt that something is gonna happen today and he agreed to help me out," Aiden said as I listened to him carefully.

"Tyler went to the old town along with Evans and I and Edmund followed them there where we got to know about their change of plan. Evans said he saw you getting out hurriedly and suspected that you might have informed me," he said further. Of course, I didn't think about it as I was in hurry.

"So they thought of ending you," he said again. I sighed as he spoke again but with reluctance this time, "He was in your room even before you went there."

Aiden looked at me carefully as I got goosebumps around my whole body. A fear surpassed me just thinking about he was hidden in the dark to kill me. I am no safe.

"I rushed to you while Edmund called at my place and Emily's place to inform them about the change of events," Aiden spoke again taking me out of my thoughts.

"Didn't they..." I asked again raising my eyebrows. I stopped as Aiden shook his head.

"I told them that we broke into Wittnakar's house a few days back when you got attacked by Tyler," he said making me widen my eyes with shock. I didn't expect that.

"They have arrested them both," he said and that's the only thing which made me feel a bit relieved. He sighed and shifted in his seat as he went ahead, "As for Wittnakar, they are still searching her house and have found some pieces of evidence about George and Thomas." I nodded at him.

"I don't know how to point at Evans as we basically don't have a solid proof so I stayed quiet but we need to do something about him pretty soon," he said and looked at me. I agree with him. We don't have any solid proof against him just yet. But we need to find it sooner.

"We might find something at Tyler's club or Oldtown," We looked at back to see Edmund wide awake by now. I smiled looking at him which he returned.

"But we need to hurry up," Aiden said. We both nodded agreeing with him.

Aiden got up from beside me as he looked down at me, "Moore will be coming to enquire so I will just inform him and your parents that you are awake now." he said and brushed his fingers on my cheek making me smile.

"I will come along wherever you go," I said, "I don't feel safe by myself anymore, Aiden." I finished as the goosebumps arose again when my mind drifted back to my room. I don't feel safe anywhere but with my three people.

"Don't worry," Aiden said, "We will plan something and make it today."

"Okay," I said with a nod. Edmund nodded in understanding as well.

"Edmund stay here," Aiden said looking at Edmund, "I will be back." Edmund nodded as Aiden moved his gaze back to me.

"Make sure that she doesn't move," he said making me frown. They both chuckled as Aiden bend and pecked gently on my lips. I blushed and wanted to last it longer but not in presence of this brat who used to get insecure of me.

I looked at Edmund with a frown. He gave me a known smile and winked at me getting what I was saying. I sighed and shook my head as Aiden moved back.

"Yes, don't worry about it," Edmund said getting settled beside me as he pulled out his specs and started clearing it.

I shifted my gaze to look out of the window with numerous and dangerous thoughts clouding my mind.
