Dear Diary,

OH DIARY!!! I KNOW IT IS RATHER IMPROPER TO WRITE IN ALL CAPS, BUT I AM JUST SO HAPPY! WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW WHY?! MADELINE AND I ARE TO HAVE A SLEEPOVER!!!
Oh Diary!!! I can hardly believe it! She is to come over this weekend, and we are going to play Sorry, and sing songs, and eat cake and watch Harry Potter!!!! And I have been so happy lately, and so sad, and then so happy again, and I've barely written 17 pages in here! It must get tiring to keep up with, diary. I am terribly sorry. But I simply can't help it! For my life is like a novel - Everything stars out magical, amazing, and just as you are getting used to the world you have entered, something horrid happens. And then there's the calm before the storm - The sky is a grey, the world is cold, but it still feels okay. And then BAM. A horrible twist comes, and shakes the foundation of the plot. Right now, I think I am at the very start of my story. But I don't think it will last long. Because things have been good for a while, diary. And I can't help but wonder - What will my turning point be?
