The sky was covered with dark clouds, and heavy cold rain fell on earth.

The ground was soaked with blood and the dead bodies lay on the ground, "Alpha." 

Sean turned around only to see his beta Marius behind him walking towards him as Sean, who had a firm expression with cold eyes and a frown covering his face looked asked in his deep and cold voice, "any survivors?"

Marius nodded, "Yes, alpha the beta of this pack survived however he is gravely injured, it seems that he might not survive."

Sean clenched his fists, "take him to the pack and make sure to call the doctor, also take the help of the witches if needed but I want him to survive... I want to know who the hell did this."

Sean said as he looked ahead once again. The dead bodies were lying on the ground with face down, and blood staining the soil red.

This was a pack who was the allies of the Gealach Xiao's and now they are gone.

Attacking the ally of Gealach pack one of the strongest pack around was like making an enemy of the Gealach Xiao's and questioning their power and authority and whoever did this was going to pay.

"Alpha, everyone will handle the work here we don't have anything more to do we should leave." Marius said.

Sean sighed and nodded.

Sean Xiao Zhan was the alpha of one of the most powerful and biggest pack the gealach Xiao's.

Sean was a walking devil, a person who you don't want to mess with or make angry unless you have a death wish or want to go to hell. The man was also one of the richest man in the world being the CEO of the increasing multi-dollar company the 'Damia.'

And there was his beta Jiang Marius, the goofy, manipulative and cunning man equally cruel as Sean the only difference was that Marius liked to play games, he liked to manipulate and betray his enemies, gaining their love and trust and then breaking them.

He liked to use brain more than fist.

Both made an incredible pair.

"That was away too much work." Marius said as he sat at the back seat and stretched his limbs while Sean sighed as he stared outside.

Marius looked at him, "what are you thinking about?"

"Nothing." Sean replied, but Marius knew very well over the past years Sean had became really irritated and more and more angry over the fact that he still didn't had a mate despite nearing his thirties.

And when he saw the others with their mates his anger would only rise at the moon goddess and everyone else.

Sean became annoyed and irritated and highly unpredicatable over the years and most of the times he would take his anger out on his enemies.

And his anger was justified after all he was a very powerful and influential alpha, and Alphas have the need for their mate and Sean had that need too.

And seeing  everyone around him getting mate and happily starting a family was pissing him off and he even sort of started to hate whoever his mate was for not coming before him.

It's not that every werewolf finds their mates some do and some don't and just marry someone else and that's exactly Sean was going to do very soon because his patience was running thin.

"You remember that we have to go to this party right?" Marius said, he just like Sean had not found his mate either but unlike Sean he was pretty chill about it and that made Sean angrier how was Marius was so chill but here he was dying of anixiety and anger.

"I don't want to go." he said.

Marius rolled his eyes and sighed, "oh come on it will be fun and what if you find your mate?"

And sooner than he said that Sean glared at him while Marius pressed his lips together and smiled, "You just fucking shut up! these years you have taken me to every fucking party, wedding, funeral and even you didn't spare the politician rallies! every god damn event!."

Marius smiled but tried to hide it, "Oh come on it is always fun."

Sean glared at him, "I have no idea what the hell is so fun about these parties where all you see is just these creatures giving fake smiles and stupid greetings and talk about things that I have no interest in!"

Marius couldn't help but laugh after all it was fun to see Sean standing at the corner of the room with a grumpy face or giving fake smiles.

"Oh come on don't give up so soon."

Sean sighed, "how the fuck are you so calm?"

Marius shrugged, "because I am not an alpha like you I guess, And also because I don't really care, if I find a mate then good but if not then I'll just enjoy my life."

Sean sighed, "how nice."

"Anways let's prepare for this party." Marius once again started to blabber and Sean once again had this urge to strangle Marius..

It was evening time and time to go to the party.

Marius was ready as ever and Sean also got ready begrudingly, even though he hated the idea to go anyhwere or socialize this small hope that he might find his mate always made him push forwrad.

While Marius loved eating the free food.

So as always they reached the party and were recieved warmly by the guests. Most of the people were of coues humans but Sean can spot two or three superantural creatures as well.

However he didn't interact much with them.

Sean stayed at the party for sometime and looked around trying to feel any presence of his mate or pull or anthing just something that was an indication that his mate was here but no nothing he was nunb, his wolf felt like it was dead.

And his face became more and more grumpy, heart more and more bitter and if looks could kill then anyone whom Zhan rested his eyes on would be dead.

And Marius noticed this so with a sigh he took two glasses of wine and went to Sean and gave one glass to him, Sean didn't bother to thank him for this 'kind' gesture he just snatched the glass and drank the wine in one go.

"Hey will you calm down people can see that you are pissed," Marius whispered and only earned a hard stare from Sean.

"Zhan please," Marius spoke.

Zhan who was a beast by nature, found it hard to calm down, another failiure.

Sean was holding the glass so tightly that Marius was scared he might break it so he took the glass and gave it to a waiter and this time before he can say anything someone else.

"Oh...look they are here."

"My, the most awaited guest of the party?"

"The enegmatic owener of the 'Guardian?"

People whispered aorund them and the atmosphere soon changed and Marius asked the nearby guest, "who is it?"

The guests smiled and told them, "It is the owner of ths company Guardian, the husband and wife who rarely make a public appearence have finally came here."

"I have heard that they are linked to some royal family."

"And I have heard how drop dead gorgeous they are!"

"The wife is like the goddess descended from the heaven she is said to be very pretty."

"And so is the husband... He is said to always have the poker face and never talk... but he is said to be kind."

Marius and Sean looked at each other before Zhan felt something, he kept his hand on his heart, and his something stired in his mind.

It was like all his nerves had became threads that bounded his limbs and were pulling him towards something or someone.

Sean's eyes widened and his heart started to beat fast as his intestines clenched and stomach felt light, as his throat went dry because of the excitement and nervousness he felt.

'Is this the mate bond.'

Sean thought before he looked towards the door that soon opened and in walked the two most awaited people.

And as soon as they walked in they owned the stage, silence prevailed as all eyes were on them and they knew the impact of their presence and enjoyed the attention, it was like they were boss, their aura, posture all yelling confidence.

The enigmatic smile on the face of the man with baby fat on the cheeks and sharp eyes with brown hairs looked so good.

The man was wearing a simple black suit and that complimented his body.

While the woman beside him clinging on to his arm was equally beautiful as she gave away her dazzling smile that made her pale flawless face much more beaitiuful.

Her black hairs were open she was wearing black dress and highlighted her curves.

"Welcome, welcome..." The host of the party went to them and soon Sean unknowingly and subconciously came near the couple as well as his eyes were fixated on the man.

The host of the party smile as he looked at Sean and the Man and his wife also looked at Sean, the man and Sean locked eyes and then and there Sean knew who his mate was.

"Mr. Wang meet , Sean Xiao Zhan the owner of Damia."

The man who didn't break the eye contact with Sean kept in looking at him in the eye, had it been some werewolf or other supernatural creature or even a normal human then they might have looked away or became intimidated due to the intense stare of Sean.

The man smiled as he raised his hand for a handshake, "It's nice to meet you Mr. Xiao."

Sean smirked as he saw this masterpiece that was his mate and shook hands with him and as soon as the two skins made contact Sean felt that electric currect passing through his body, his nerves getting charged, skin feeling ticklish, shivers running down his spine.

This made the handshake even more stronger, "nice to meet you too... may I know your name?"

The man smiled, "My bad, My name is Wang Yibo and this is my Wife Wang Meng Ziyi."
