As soon as Yibo entered the meeting room everyone stood up and greeted him.

Yibo gave them all a nod as he stood at his seat that was that was in the middle of the huge round table, he sat down on the seat and with him the other council members sat down as well.

Yibo said, "contact Croia and let's start the conference."

Haoxuan was the one who opened the portal this time and Draven answered the call, "Hello there. Lord of the Gaia pleasure to meet you again.I assume our subordinate has given you my message already , of not then I can repeat it."

Yibo leaned back on his chair, crossed his legs, interlocked his fingers, got into the boss position before he smiled, "I have heard your message Mr. Draven. You don't have to repeat it."

"That's great then, so when are you going to hand over that alpha and that witch to us?"

Yibo smiled and said, "never."

Draven's smile was gone and the ten people who were seated in the room around the table were shocked as well as they looked at Yibo.

"I might have heard wrong. Could you repeat that again?" Draven spoke.

Yibo smiled as he kept his hand on the table and spoke, "No. I said I will not hand over them to you."

Draven was pissed now, "and may I know the reason? that alpha maybe a pureblood but he killed a citizen of Croia, and he should be handed over so that he can be dealt with Croian law!

And that witch, she is sheltering a very dangerous entity who is a criminal in Croia and has caused a greivious crimes here, she has to be punished!"

"Alpha Sean did not kill Ace." Yibo spoke fair and clear, "I witnessed the death of Ace and it was not Alpha Sean who did it."

Draven became quiet as this was not the plan. Sean was supposed to kill that brat!

"If not him then who!"

Yibo sighed, "Alpha Sean did not kill Ace and the woman you are talking about is my wife, she is a guardian's wife, and she has no such entity inside of her, if she had then that entiy I would have known."

Yibo then smirked and said, "and moreover isn't it funny? that Ace a vamoure escaped Croia and a vicious spirit escaped Croia how is it that your secutiy system is weakning so much? I am starting doubt you now

And moreover the young vampire, used some techniques exclusive to the necromancers only."

Draven gave him a wicked smirk, he was so angry right now that it was clear from his eyes, "what do you want to say? That Croia means harm to Gaia?"

Yibo smiled, "exactly, I want to talk to Yanli, or the board of directors Draven."

Draven smiled, "I am the leader here, and Yibo I am going to tell you this once hand over who ever killed Ace to Croia and that witch who has the spirit inside of her, otherwise we'll have to take actions."

Yibo was royally pissed now as he said, "We are not going to contact Croia aynmore unless it's the council as a cillective is willing to talk to us or Yanli is willing to talk to us.

I refuse to communicate with you any longer Draven and if I see one more necromancic activity in Gaia or one more breach then we are going to take serious actions by ceasing all contacts with you.

Or in worse case scenarios we will take this a sign of war."

The people of the council were shocked, some of them gasped and some of them shook their heads.

Draven raised an eyebrow before he sighed and then laughed, "good then, I beleive we'll see each other soon."

Yibo tapped his finger on the table and the portal was closed.

It was silent for a while before Jiyan spoke, "Yibo about alpha Sean, it's not just Croia but many packs think that his pacl was attacking them, one of the warrior has come to us as well saying that Alpha Sean killed his alpha and beta by his own hands and was abusing his own pack members."

Yibo gritted his jaws, "It's not true."

"And how do you know that?" Haoxuan spoke this time, "is it because you actually know something or is it because you are his mate and there is something going on between you two?"

Yibo glared at Haoxuan who smirked, "no, offenced anyone who has so many people pointing fingers at him should be in prison by this time, and boss, we regardless of whatever yoyr relatipn is with that alpha you should think with brain and heart.

Offending Croia for a criminal is not a good idea."

Yibo clenched his fists, "have you heard the line'  innocent until proven guilty?"

Haoxuan smiled and nodded and the other member spoke, "What Haoxuan said is correct Yibo, so many allegations against him everyone can't be lying to him."

Another spoke, "exactly why would they lie against Alpha Sean anyway? after all Alpha Sean is like a benefactor to them, they would get nothing by getting on his bad side."

"And we have proofs and witness against him, is their any proof that proves that Sean is innocent?"

"Just because you are his mate does not mean that you can defend him, you will go corrupt if you defend someone evil like him."

"Enough!" Yibo said as he got up, "I swear on my dead parent's grave that I would never ever help a criminal, and no matter how much I love someone I would never defend them if they had done a crime as bad as this, so I would rewuest you all to show some trust in me and give me some time.

Have patience please."

Haoxuan said, "alright then how about you be honest wih us? is Ziy really posessed by that spirit? because it does seem suspicious how you married her right after your parents death.

You never said that you dated and she was married to a warlock names Adam then why did you two married out of nowhere?

How did her husband and her paretns and your parents died? And from what I have researched her parents and your died on the same day and so did Adam, as it is written on their graves."

Yibo could not answer Haoxuan, if he told them that he went corrupt, then how will he tell them how was he saved? The secret of spirit will be revealed.

When Yibo did not answer for sometime, Haoxuan spoke, "this is not fair boss, you are keeping secrets, you are not being clear, you are defending a supposed criminal who has no proof to prove that he is innocent and you are not putting him in jail, and you are making enemies with Croia for him putting everyone in danger.

You are being selfish, you are not using your brain to think. At this rate we would be needing another leader."

"Haoxuan." Jiyang stood up and said, "why can't you trust him? everyone Yibo has done a good job ever since he has taken over the council, he has never given us all a chance to complain.

Today when he is in some trouble then shouldn't we support him? and trust him as he is our leader, how can we forget that the mother nature itself will punish him if he ever helped evil.

We should trust mother nature."

Haoxuan rolled his eyes, "nice speech but life runs on logic and not philosophy."

Yibo spoke, "Everyone please I would like to ask you all a little bit of time I will prove Sean's innocence soon, just provide me with a little time and patience."

"And what if you fail?"

Yibo stood straight as he said, "Then I would give up my position as the leader of the council and also my weapon and powers."

"Yibo." Jiyang was about to say something but Yibo had alredy taken his decision.

"Fair enough, so does everyone agree?"

Majority of the council agreed with Haoxuan in the end and Yibo felt more and more suffocated by this twisted game that fate was playing with him.

"Then we'll give you one week to do that. And if you fail to complete your task then your resign and give up, your title and powers, and Sean and Ziyi will be handed over to Croia.

While his pack will be given to another alpha to lead."
