The voice of thunder and pitter-patter of rain was what woke Yibo up.

He slowly sat up on the bed and looked outside the huge window of his mansion.

It was indeed raining outside and when he looked at the watch, it was six in the morning. He then looked beside him and the bed was empty beside him.

Yibo looked around before he called out, "Ziyi."

But there was no reply.

So he got down from the bed as the thunder roared and at first knocked at the washroom door and there was no reply and so he opened the door and looked inside and there was no one in there.

It was actually very dark outside even though it was so early in the morning, and this huge house that was more than a hundred years old was not helping.

This house belonged to Yibo's family for generations.

Yibo then looked outside through the window and finally found Ziyi outside standing still under the rain.

Yibo wasted and ran outside the house with an umbrella, "Ziyi... Ziyi...!" Yibo called out as he went near her and grabbed her hand before making her face him.

Ziyi was looking down with no expression on her face,  Yibo called her out gently, "Ziyi?"

Ziyi finally looked at him, and Yibo spoke, "what are you doing here?"

Ziyi looked at him before she kept her hand on her heart, "I... I... had a nightmare... and I felt suffocated and weird..." she said, as she hugged herself she was not even looking at Yibo she was shivering, "I... something bad... something dirty and disgusting... so I came under the rain to wash those dirty feeling."

Her voice was slow and shaky and Yibo clenched his hand around the umbrella before he hugged her, "It's okay... everything is okay..."

Ziyi did not reply, neither did she blinks her eyes, and neither did she move unless Yibo grabbed her hand and dragged her inside.

Once they came inside Yibo prepared a hot bath and let Ziyi sit inside the hot bathtub before he walked out, sometime later Ziyi came out with the towel wrapped around her as she took out her clothes and got dressed before she came and lay down on the bed.

Yibo sighed as he looked at the watch and it was six-thirty in the morning, "Yibo..."

Yibo looked at her, "Yes."

"I feel so cold can you hug me?" she pleaded and Yibo slowly laid down beside her and hugged her from behind.

"Sorry," Ziyi said slowly.

"It's okay." was all Yibo could say before Ziyi fell asleep while Yibo was wide awake.

After a few hours, the rain stopped and after it stopped Yibo finally got down from the bed while Ziyi slept he walked into the kitchen and made a coffee for himself before he came out.

And looked around in the vast garden, maybe he should hire a gardener soon and also a house helper.

And while he thought about all this he drank his hot coffee enjoying the rainy weather.

And that was how his morning passed with nothing much to do as he had just moved here.

From tomorrow he might have to go to the office as well.

The branch over here was small and that was exactly what he wanted not too big and not too small.

From tomorrow his new journey will start and hopefully, he can find answers for Ziyi as well.

"Ziyi, I will be leaving for work today." Yibo said to her as ate her breakfast and did not reply, "if you don't feel well then you can call me... or would you like to come with me as well?"

"I will be fine," Ziyi said with a cold voice without even looking at Yibo as she ate her breakfast while Yibo nodded and sighed, "alright then." he smiled before he got up and kissed her head, "remember that I am just a call away."

Ziyi did not look up her eyes were downcasted and she only nodded while Yibo finally left for work.

While Ziyi stayed back.

Once Yibo reached his office he was warmly welcomed by the staff before he got to his office and started to work, there was a lot of pending work and he should start soon.

Soon he heard a knock on his door, "come in."

Yibo said and the said person walked in, "Well hello there."

Yibo paused whatever he was doing and looked at the person who was none other than Sean, Yibo leaned back in his seat and folded his arms before his chest, and crossed his legs before looking at Sean with cold eyes, "What can I do for you, Mr. Sean Xiao Zhan."

Zhan smiled before he walked ahead and sat on the chair before Yibo and said, "Why are you being so cold to me dear? You weren't like that before?"

Yibo smiled, "I guess because I am not a child anymore."

Sean nodded, "I am hurt though. eight years ago you vanished suddenly and now you appear out of nowhere and now you are treating me so coldly."

Yibo smiled as he put his elbows on the table and his chin in his hands, "I don't remember I had any obligations to be kind to you."

Sean smiled as he also kept his elbows on the table and his chin rested on his hands, "I really didn't expect you to get married to a woman."

"And I didn't expect the hottest man in our college to be single till now. What happened? did you finally catch an std?"

Sean just smiled, "I was waiting for my soulmate of course."

Yibo smiled before he rolled his eyes, "keep in waiting then, there is nothing like that in the world."

"Actually there is... and I found mine too."

Yibo just looked at him before he smiled, "congratulations. .. why are you here though?"

Sean got up before he slowly walked and came near Yibo, Yibo did not move as Sean kept one hand on the table and the other on the chair as he bent down so that his face was near that of Yibo's, "of course, I came to meet the person who owes me some explanation for vanishing eight years ago."

Yibo sighed as Zhan moved closer and whispered in his ear, "you have become much more attractive than before Yibo... did you miss me... did you ever miss sleeping with me?"

"I like you Sean will you go out with me?" Yibo asked, he finally asked to the most handsome hunk of the college in front of the entire cafeteria.

Many people were shocked and many awaited Sean's answer, as Yibo looked at Sean who was still sitting on the chair holding his hamburger.

While Yibo stood their confidentiality of course he was confident, he was handsome and athletic even if Sean does reject him it won't cause any harm to him.

"How dare you ask him that you bastard he is someone out of your league you-" Amelia one of Zhan's friends spoke with rage and Yibo just looked at her, "Shut up."

Amelia's face turned red with anger but before she can say anything else Zhan told her to sit down

Sean finally looked at him and smiled, "I am sorry but I cannot date you."

Yibo raised his eyebrow and smiled back at him, "fine. Bye."

Yibo said as he walked back to his seat, while Sean watched him with a smile, "what a human he is."

Yibo was bored as his leg ached, he had gotten injured while playing basketball and sprained his ankle as he now sat alone in the class looking outside the window.

"Are you bored?" a second voice that came out of nowhere startled him as Yibo looked the person who dared to scare him and saw Zhan over there with a smile.

Yibo sighed and replied, "As fuck."

Yibo then leaned back on his chair and his head was facing the ceiling as Zhan came near him, "How did you get hurt?"

"My rival who hates me pushed me too hard and I fell..."

"That sucks. of course it does and by the way, you rejected me you should not talk to me so causally," Yibo spoke as he closed his eyes.

While Zhan smiled as he looked at his face and then he traveled to those lips before he bent down and joined his lips with that of Yibo's.

Yibo opened his eyes and so did Zhan, they locked eyes and Yibo did not push him back instead he smirked and wrapped his arms around Sean and Sean grabbed him and made him stand up and sat on the chair and made Yibo sit on his lap as they were engaged in a heated make-out session.

And after they were done kissing Yibo spoke, "kissing while I am weak is called assault."

"Well, you responded back to my kiss I took it as your consent."

Yibo smiled, "why the sudden kiss?"

Zhan smiled, "I don't want to date you..." he said and that was because Zhan was waiting for his mate,  usually, a werewolves age when they are suitable to meet their mate is twenty and Sean was just eighteen right now so there were two more years before he came of the eligible age.

And till then he wanted to be single, however, he was attracted to Yibo and he was not going to deny that, Yibo's face, body, intelligence everything about this man was likable and sometimes it even made Zhan think that maybe just maybe there was a one percent chance that Yibo might be his mate but since he was not sure he won't date Yibo because if he dated Yibo and he didn't turn out to be his mate and Sean found his mate then it will get chaotic.

In his pack dating was looked down upon, and not accepted before twenty-five years of age because a wolf was given five years to find their mate and if they can't in that time then they can date or get married to get stable.

That is of course the wolf's choice if he wants to date or get married after twenty-five years of age or perhaps keep on looking for their mate till they die, most wolves get fed up and give up.

Sean smiled, "I can't date you, since my family does not allow that... however would you like to try something else?"

"Something else like what?"

Sean squeezed Yibo's hips and Yibo tightened his arms around Sean's neck as Sean whispered in his ear, "Like sex friend."

"You can't date but you can have sex?"

Sean shrugged, "my family is weird but how about this if by twenty-five years of age I did not get what I want then I will date you."

"Bold of you to assume that I will wait for you till then or that I will not be dating anyone till then."

Sean smiled as he kissed Yibo, "I will snatch you from them."

"All the best then."

"It was a long time ago. Zhan." Yibo said as he turned to look at Zhan, "I moved on and I married."

Zhan smiled, "of course you did, but do you love your wife? romantically?" Sean asked because he was sure that the moon goddess who was the goddess of love, fate, and destiny itself would never ever mate him with a perfect couple who would be blindly in love with each other.

Moon goddess can never break a couple made for each other, a couple whose love was as strong and divine as the mate bond.

Hence Sean who trusted his goddess was sure that this marriage was doomed to break and Yibo was his to claim. This marriage was nothing in his eyes.

Yibo looked at him, "yes I do."

Sean smiled before he said, "and what if I said that I want you?" he said as he came closer and finally Yibo's straight expression break as his face turned slightly red, "romantically as a partner."

Yibo whose eyes widened quickly stood up, and took a few steps back, his heart was going out of control and his throat went dry what the hell was this feeling? 

Even after eight years, Sean had this impact on him? how come? 

Sean whose senses were actually very high can actually hear how fast Yibo's heartbeat was and he smiled brightly, as he came ahead and Yibo took a step back, "You-" Yibo began however before he can finish Zhan grabbed his waist and pulled him ahead and hugged him.

Yibo's eyes widened as Zhan kept his nose on his neck and inhaled his scent, "I am so glad you came back, I am so glad that it's you, I am so glad that you are mine... Wang Yibo."

What the fuck! why the hell did this hug feel so good, so warm, and as if he belonged here?

Sean soon broke the hug and winked at him, "See you soon. Dear." and after that he left, leaving Yibo alone in the office.
