Hell's Kitchen, New York

"Jesus Y/n." Stella said, walking out from her room as she placed her items inside the clutch purse she carried. She wore a dark blue mini dress with her hair down to her shoulders in ring curls. "You look like shit."

You peaked your head up from the couch, looking behind at her.

"Wow, your just as comforting as mom." You said, placing your head back down on the couch as you continued watching tv.

"Sorry." She said more sympathetic this time, walking up behind the couch. "You just seem...sad. Like, really sad."

"I just broke up with my boyfriend, Stell's." You said, still focusing your eyes on the screen. "Of course I'm sad."

"It's been a week." Stella commented. "By now you should be moving on, meeting guys at bars, sleeping around the city." She yelled as she walked back into the kitchen that was covered with dim lights. "Not watching Dirty Dancing for the third time this week."

"You don't get it." You said, sitting up. "He wasn't just my boyfriend, he was my best friend." You placed your face in your hands, shaking your forehead against your palms. "I should have just kept quiet. Now I've ruined the best friendship and relationship I've had."

Your voice broke more as you spoke, just as Stella emerged from the kitchen again, rushing over to your side as you cried into your palms-again.

"Hey..." She spoke softly, placing her hand on your back as she sat down next to you. "Listen, I know how a breakup feels. I can only imagine how much worse it is for you considering you and Matt have been inseparable since you where kids." She paused. "But staying in and doing nothing will only make it worse for you, believe me."

Softness took over your mind. Your sisters gentle voice coaxing you out of your deep depression you had been in since the night you left Matt's place.

"Even if I wanted to get out, I don't have anyone to go with." You clarified. "You forget my only other friend was Matt's best friend."

Stella stood up. "Hmm..if only you had a kind, amazing, sister who would be willing to get you drunk and laid without anything in return." Stella smiled widely with sarcasm. "Oh wait? You do!"

You lightly chuckled for the first time in a while. "Don't you have a date tonight with that Jeff guy?" You questioned. "I'm not really sure bringing your sister on a date is what he's looking for."

"Fuck what he thinks." She said, grabbing your hand as she pried you from the sofa. "If he can't accept your gonna be in my life then he can find someone else." She wrapped her arm around your shoulders as she walked with you. "Besides, Jeff isn't like other guys."

You scoffed. "I've heard you say that before."

"I'm being serious." She nudged you. "He's a great guy. Plus, you haven't even met him so how would you know?"

You paused. "Fine." You moved from her. "But if you guys start getting all touchy, I'm out."

"We won't get touchy you grinch." She kicked your ass jokingly before you walked to your room. "Just one thing before we go, please shower. You smell like ruffles and beer."

Laughing as you walked into your room, you grabbed your clothes as you headed into the bathroom. Maybe she was right, maybe this was the start of something new-something better then what you and Matt had.

If only you knew, this night would be the start of the ticking time bomb on Stella's life.

-+++++++++-

Matt's knocking disrupted you from your thoughts, which you where relatively thankful for. You jolted slightly as you turned your head back, calling for him to come into the room that was being closed out by a sliding door.

"Come in." You called out as Matt slid the door open, walking in with his red suit on. His boots echoed as he walked closer.

"Hey." He said simply as he walked closer.

"Hi." You focused your attention back on wrapping-er-attempting to wrap your hands, muffling a small 'fuck' with your failed movements. "Over, under-no, Over- Ah shit."

You moved the cloth over and under your hands, finding your motions circling back to the beginning of the process. Matt could hear your struggle as he walked closer, putting his hands out for you.

"You need help?" He questioned, his palms facing up.

You scoffed. "Desperately."

Matt gave a weak smile as he took your hands in his, unwrapping the cloth from your skin as he restarted the process. You both remained silent, finding it hard to talk when the only idea in your mind is if you'll survive to see the next morning.

You took a deep inhale, which went anything but unnoticed by Matt.

"Not to pry but," He shrugged. "I can hear the hamster running on the wheel in your head. You know you can uh- you can talk to me."

You smiled lightly, "I'm just...nervous I guess." You looked up at Matt as you watched him continue to wrap your hands. "I just keeping thinking about the possibility of this not working. The possibility of him getting me and doing God knows what with not only me but with the Iscariot."

"I promised you I wouldn't let him touch you, and I intend on keeping that promise." He reassured you. "This will work, Y/n."

"But you don't know that."

"Just consider the possibility that this will work." He moved to your other hand, wrapping the cloth around your palm and wrist. "Your not the type to give up on something so I doubt you'll give up on this. If I'm being honest your stubbornness is a blessing and a curse at the same time." He gave a small smile.

"Look at you being the optimistic one." You joked. "That's a nice change from Mr. doom and gloom."

Matt smiled, "Like I said, things have changed in the last 10 years. I'm just full of positivity now."

"Yeah I find that one hard to believe." You laughed, making Matt's smile continue growing.

Keeping your hands in Matt's as he wrapped cloth over your skin, you looked up at him. You where no longer watching the movements he was making, but instead you where just watching him.

His smile was another painful reminder of how you left without saying goodbye once, and how you would do it again. So painful in fact, that you couldn't stand to look at him anymore without feeling that gut wrenching pain in your stomach and heart.

"Hey uh," The small curl of Matt's lip remained. "Maybe after all this we could grab a drink. I know Josie would be happy to see you again." He looked up in your direction. "And it would be nice to catch up-really catch up."

You kept replaying every moment with him in your head. The day you walked home from school with each other, your eighteenth birthday, stumbling across campus with Foggy and Matt, Christmas with the three of you, and worst of all-graduation night.

I felt like a movie in your head, and that's when you realized that's what it had felt like to you. You had the kind of love people looked for. The friends to lovers, the where you go I go love, the kind that feels so perfect you don't even know if it's real or not.

You knew it was a young love, and truly it was the end all in your life despite what others had argued. Part of you was glad it happened-glad you had fallen disgustingly head over heels in love with Matt Murdock.

All that being said, you knew you weren't made for him. Matt had his life-a life with a job, friends, and most of all, someone else he had moved on with. You knew staying would force him to start a new life with you, and you couldn't stand the idea of being the person who ruined something so special.

"As nice as that sounds I uh-" You swallowed. "I kinda planned on leaving New York after all this. Maybe try something new, away from people who want to shoot me." You laughed, that pang in your heart just growing stronger.

"For good?" Matt's voice hinted at disappointment.

"I'm not sure yet." You shrugged. "I just think I need a break from the craziness. Maybe get some sleep, relax on a beach. Who knows, if I'm feeling extra crazy I may just do a yoga class."

"You are terribly inflexible, I'm not sure yoga is your strong suit." Matt smiled.

"Oh shut up." You laughed, just as Matt finished wrapping your hands. Thoughts flew through your mind. "And I mean, we also had that deal. Once this all ended I would stay away from you for good. Remember?"

"Right." Matt nodded slowly. "Yeah that's the plan." He gave a weak smile. "That's probably for the best anyway. I have a life here, and uh-"

"Your barbie doll."

"Karen." Matt breathed her name. "Right, I have Karen."

"See, I would just be a burden if I stayed." You shrugged, both of you knowing it was a complete lie. A smile spread across your features, making it a hopeful notion rather then the sad sentiment you really felt. "We should uh- We should get going."

"Yeah." Matt raised his eyebrows, grabbing his mask next to him as you both turned to leave the room, not saying a word to each other until you found Frank.

The start of the end

Tick, Tick, Boom.

-++++++++-

You, Matt, and Frank stood on a rooftop-about three buildings from Dominic's hideout and laboratory. Fireworks erupted around you-red, white, and blue lights flying in the air and creating shadows on your face. The warm air hit the skin on your arms, creating small beads of sweat over your skin.

"That's his place right there." You said, turning to face Frank and Matt again. "Remember the plan, and don't try and pull any heroic shit." You looked to Frank. "You have your gun set up?"

"Over in the corner, ready to fire." Frank nodded. "What about you? Ya got everything?"

"I'm all set." You nodded.

"Wait-" Frank said, reaching into his holster. "You need something."

"Frank I have more then I need I promise I'll be fine." You said, just as Frank pulled a gun from his holster, handing it to you as he closed your hand over it.

"Just keep it, ight?" He held his hand over yours. "And I swear if he gets you don't go all Murdick on him alright? You shoot his ass, you don't let him touch you-"

"Frank, I will be okay." You said. "I promise."

Frank stared at you for a moment before taking his hand off yours. "Go take care of that bastard, alright?"

You nodded, giving Frank a salute that made him laugh. You placed your gun in your holster before you walked up to Matt.

"You ready?" Matt questioned.

"To get rid of this guy and finally sleep? Fuck yeah." You said, lifting your mask up your face.

You and Matt headed down the building, leaving Frank behind as the booming sound of the fireworks grew louder and louder around you. The night growing longer.

-++++++++++-

"How many men do you hear?" You questioned Matt, ducking next to him behind a cement wall on a rooftop right next to Dominic's. The building was being guarded from top to bottom with armed men, leaving your voices quiet as you tried to stay low and out of sight.

Matt's head cocked. "Five that I can hear. Some of them where somehow able to mask their heartbeat but I can still hear their breathing." He faced you. "They want things quiet here. They have suppressors again."

"We'll be quieter." You said, pulling your mask up. "You ready?"

"Don't assume I have much of a choice." He said, standing up as you remained crouched down.

Matt went first, jumping from your building to Dominic's as he rolled on the ground, staying low behind a cement wall. A few heads turned, but within seconds where distracted by the sounds of gunfire Frank reined on them.

The guards rushed down the fire escape, following the sounds of gunshots as they became more frequent. Voices yelled at one another as they disappeared in the distance.

Running full speed, you jumped from your building to the other. As you landed, Matt reached his hands out, catching you by the waist-stopping you from falling to the ground.

You looked up at Matt as you caught your breath, his hands still on your waist.

Somehow, despite the nerve-racking situation you where in, Matt's gentle touch was able to calm you down. His hands where covered by the cloth of his gloves as they wrapped around your body like a hug.

Your mind came back to reality as you looked down at his hands.

"We should-"

"Yeah-" He freed his hands from your waist, listening for any signs of heartbeats, distracting himself. "All the men I can hear are heading towards Frank."

"Then we need to get in and out of here before they reach him." You said, rushing towards the door as Matt followed suit.

You both ran down the old staircase, your feet moving fast as you circled around each corner until finally you made it to the bottom floor.

Just as you made your way to the door and placed your hand on the old nob, Matt grabbed you by the shoulder-pulling you to his chest.

"What the fu-" You started, being stopped by Matt's hand over your mouth.

Matt heard the guards heads turn, making his grip over your mouth get tighter.

He mouthed the words, 'There are guards outside the door-Wait'

You remained silent as Matt moved his hand from your mouth. He moved you to the wall as he walked past you, standing on the side of the door as his head turned like a dog's and his ears fully immerged into the sounds of the guards breathing.

They both cocked their guns, releasing the safety on them as they both turned in the direction of the door.

Matt faced you, giving a nod. You moved to the other side of the door, facing Matt just as the creaking of footsteps grew closer. Silence wavered over everyone as you kept quiet, waiting to make your next move.

The door opened hastily as both men began shooting around them. Matt reached out, grabbing one of the guns as he ripped it from the man's hand. He slammed his head into his knee while you took care of the other guard.

You kicked his legs from under him, making him fall to the ground as you grabbed the gun from his hands. As he attempted to sit up, you hit him across the face with the riffle-sending him passing out on the concrete floor.

You looked over at Matt, seeing his head still cocked.

"Oh God." You groaned. "I hate that stupid head tilt you do." You complained, emptying the gun as you dropped it to the floor. "There are more guys. There are more fucking guys, aren't there?"

"I'm hoping you weren't assuming there would only be two men." Matt questioned, taking the Billy Club from his holster.

"I was praying." You shrugged. "I could really use a break. My back has been killing me recently." You said as you walked out the door leading into the hallway as Matt followed. "I mean, I assume you understand the struggle. That Daredumpy of yours probably is hard to drag around." You said, slapping Matt's ass as you both continued walking.

"Would you stop talking about my ass, let alone calling it Daredumpy?" He questioned as you both continued down the hallway.

"No can do." You shook your head. "I'm planning on trademarking that phrase and turning it into merch." You looked over at Matt with a smile, covered by your mask.

"Oh Jesus Christ-"

"Everyone in Hell's Kitchen will be rocking their very own 'Daredumpy' T-shirt." You joked. "Men, women...children-"

"Okay, I appreciate you trying to market my ass, but I think it's best if you focus on taking Dominic down first." He said, pushing on one of the double doors as you pushed on the other, leading to yet again another long hallway filled with fluorescent lights.

"So your not against the idea?" You questioned as men turned the corner, holding knives and guns in their hands.

Matt paused. "I never said that."

You laughed as the men grew closer. "That pause just confirmed your for the idea." You said, throwing a punch at the first man that came to you.

The man punched you in the side as you grabbed your knife from your holster. You kicked him in the stomach, sending him into the wall as you stabbed him in the shoulder-a loud groan escaping his lips.

Another man rushed towards you as Matt fought his own group of men. The guy threw a punch at you as you grabbed his fist in your hand, twisting his hand and his arm as you tossed him over your shoulder and into the ground. You turned back, grabbing him from the ground by the collar as you repeatedly punched him in the face.

While you fought, a man came from behind you-grabbing you by the shoulders as he pushed you into the wall. His hand flew to your neck as he held you against the white tile wall, punching you in the face as blood began to trickle down onto your mask.

You stomped on the man's foot, hitting him across the face with your knuckles. His body went soaring to the floor as the hallway became silent once again, the only sounds being the breathless noises of you and Matt.

"Are you hurt?" Matt questioned, his breathing covering his words.

"No." You groaned. "I just need a new rib after all this, but other then that I'm fine."

Matt had a small smile lift the corner of his lips. "Yeah, welcome to the club." You caught up to Matt as you both continued walking. "The door down there is the one that leads to Dominic. We get down there and go up an elevator and we got him."

You looked forward again, seeing as men came through the door Matt was talking about. All of them carried knives, Billy-Clubs, and a few had tasers.

"Well shit." You said. "This just keeps getting better doesn't it?"

Matt pulled out a Billy-Club from his other holster. Handing it to you, he turned his head in your direction.

"You know how to use this?" He questioned.

"It's a stick, it's not that complex." You said, taking the Billy Club from Matt as all the men ran towards you both.

You hit the first man in the side with the Billy Club, blocking one of his punches with it as well. He grabbed the club that was in your hands, pushing you to the floor as he held it against your neck. You kicked your legs up, sending him off of you as he fell to the ground beside you. You hit him in the face repeatedly with the club until he was passed out.

As you stood up, you saw a large man running full speed at you. He slammed into your body, lifting you up as you kicked and punched him constantly, sending blood flying everywhere around you as he clouted you into the wall behind you.

"Fucking shit-" You groaned as you fell to the ground.

The man lifted you by the collar of your shirt as he pressed the electrical stick into your stomach. Vibrations and electrical currents went through your body as a pinching pain took over.

You yelped at the sudden feeling, grabbing the stick as you turned it, pressing it into the man's neck and head until he passed out on the ground.

As you stood, every part of your body felt like jelly. You where exhausted and your muscles felt weak, along with your lungs.

The lights turned off as red flashing emergency lights went off, along with the sounds of a heavy alarm that blared in your ears.

You groaned as you approached Matt. He looked just as exhausted as you did as blood trickled down his exposed skin on his cheeks and lips.

More men came from behind you both. You turned your head back as Matt looked at you.

"Think we can out-run them?" You questioned, breathing heavily.

Matt shrugged, exhausted. "I think that's our only shot at making it out of here alive." He said, turning his head towards you while you faced the group of men. Matt grabbed you by the hand as he pulled you in the direction of the door, your eyes still glued on the group behind you.

You both ran full speed as gunfire filled your ears, along with the blaring noise of the alarm. Panic ran through your mind as you breathed heavily, your ears almost at the point of bleeding from how loud it was.

When you reached the door, Matt shut it quickly behind you.

"There's a wooden panel in the corner next to me, grab it!" He urged.

You hurried over to the wooden slat, throwing it to Matt as he placed it inside the handle of the steel barrier of a door. Banging and gun shots hit the door rapidly as you both fell to the ground, breathing heavily with not only exhaustion-but fear.

"I say we have a couple minutes before they break the door down." Matt said, still breathing heavily.

You nodded, swallowing hard as you slid down the wall next to you until you made it to the ground.

Your legs shook un-controably as you took deep breaths. 'In and out-in and out', you reminded yourself. You felt your eyes well up, and truth was you didn't know why. The adrenaline, the fear, the pain that was brought just by being in the same building as Dominic. Whatever it was, you had a feeling this would be the end. The end of everything.

"Even if we survive...I'm not sure we'll see each other after this." You said, looking up in the direction of Matt.

Gun shots flew off the door, making you flinch at the harsh noises.

You nodded. "Alright- let's do it. We have to go get Dominic." You said as you attempted to stand, being stopped by Matt's voice.

"What if-" Matt paused, reaching up as he took his mask off-revealing his full face. "What if from now on if we make it...we stay together." He said. "Where you run, I'll run. I'll stay with you. We'll be together."

You felt your entire heart drop. "Matt you can't be serious." You scoffed, seeing as his face revealed he was more serious then ever. "You have a life here, we talked about it today. You have Foggy and Karen, your job, a life in Hell's Kitchen-"

"I'm not really living unless I'm with you." Matt admitted. "Y/n this-you, It's a part of me that I need. Without this life, I'm not really alive." He shook his head. "I- I don't know what we are together...but I know that I need you." He paused. "And I would be willing to do anything to keep you in my life. I'm free with you, like I am with nobody else." He shook his head with a small smile.

You smiled, "You always got on me for making impulse decisions, yet your willing to drop everything for me right now."

"It's not an impulse decision." He said. "I've known ever since I met you that I would always find a way to fall in love with you." He clasped his hands over yours, "Think about it. What if this is just the beginning of everything."

"Matt, I- I don't know." You admitted. "What if this doesn't work, what if everything we have ends again. You where the first person I fell in love with, Matt."

"And you where the first person I ever regretted letting go." Matt admitted. "I still love you. No matter what happened between us, I always have loved you."

You paused, looking at Matt with a closed smile. "They'll find us."

Matt shook his head, his smile growing wider as he imagined your life together. "We'll change identities. Live somewhere on the edge of Europe." He continued smiling, "Hell, you still want that fish you talked about growing up?"

You laughed-for once in a while truly laughed. "I've always wanted to go to Barcelona. We could get a fish and a dog and live on a winery in Barcelona."

"Barcelona it is." He smiled, clasping his hands tighter over yours. "So what do you say?"

You smiled widely, "I say yes." You nodded. "Let's do it, let's travel the world. London's cool, or we could go to France! France is amazing, you would love it." You rambled on. "Oh! We could also go to Canada. They would have to accept us, they're Canadian-they have to be nice."

Matt laughed, "I've never gone further then 151st street, so you lead the way." He shrugged. "All we need to do is survive whatever the hell awaits us upstairs." He placed his hand on your cheek, swiping his thumb over it. "Then we can live a good life. Our life."

You smiled, just as Matt brought your face closer to his. His lips crashed with yours as he held you close. His lips where soft and warm, gliding over yours like a piece to a missing puzzle. Even with the kiss, you both still smiled, unable to stop thinking about your new life.

The hit's on the door became more harsh as bolts started flying through the air from the door. You and Matt both stood abruptly. You pulled your mask up as Matt placed his over his head.

"You ready?" He questioned.

"Let's get this son of a bitch." You said, making Matt smile.

You both hurried to the elevator across the room, stepping inside as you pressed the button that would lead you upstairs. Just as the doors began to close, men bursted through the door and ran for the elevator.

You pressed the close button as fast as you could. "Shit shit shit shit shit-"

The men both made it inside the elevator just before the door shut. You where pushed against the wall of the elevator as one of the men placed a knife up to your head, trying to press it into your skin. You used all of your strength to hold him back as you twisted his arm downwards, pushing the knife in the direction of his stomach.

He let out a loud scream as he grabbed the gun from your holster, taking the safety off as he lifted it to your head.

You shut your eyes, preparing for the impact as the sounds of gunfire took over your ears. Your breathing became heavy as everything became silent again.

This is it.

I'm dead. He shot me again. I'm dead.

This gunshot was different. You didn't feel any pain, hell you didn't even think you got shot. Opening your eyes, you saw both men on the floor bleeding from their heads. Matt cocked his head up in the direction of the ceiling as the top of it was broken in.

Frank hopped down from the top, letting out a large breath as you and Matt both remained silent. "A thank you would be nice."

You smiled with relief, walking over to Frank as he wrapped his arms snug around your body, pulling you in for a hug.

"Ya okay?" He questioned, looking at your body for any forms of injury.

"Yeah I'm fine, what about you?" You questioned, looking at his rather-well-extremely bloody face. "You look...bloody. Please tell me this isn't your blood."

"Nah it ain't my blood, don't worry about me." He scolded. "Besides, You should see the other guys." He bragged as he looked over at Matt who was standing near the wall. "Red." He said in a low tone.

"Frank." Matt nodded back.

You rolled your eyes just as Frank took his hands from you. "Oh for the love of Christ, let's not start this again." You said, going in the middle of the pair as you all stood facing the door of the elevator.

"He started it." Frank said quietly.

"I did not start anything." Matt said, looking over at Frank as they continued bickering.

"We are here to stop a murderous drug dealer, I would appreciate if you both used your fighting skills on him rather then each other." You scolded the pair like children. "Besides Frank, I would appreciate if you kept Matt alive." You looked at Frank, giving him a hinting look.

Frank's eyebrows furrowed. "Was that your way of telling me you and three blind mice got your shit together and are now fucking as a couple?" He questioned.

"Frank." You groaned, placing your hands over your face with embarrassment.

"What?" He questioned, looking between you and Matt. "I figured it would happen soon or later." He shrugged. "Kinda wish you went with one of the other suitable options I gave you, but I can deal with this."

"Jesus Christ." Your voice was muffled by your hands as Frank kept talking. "Okay, enough! We are done talking about this, we have other important matters at hand." You said, making Frank shut his mouth.

Silence wavered over you all as the sound from the elevator continued as it grew closer to where Dominic was. You knew it was only a matter of time before Frank began talking again-but you hoped the elevator would reach Dominic by then.

But it indeed did not.

Frank continued, "I'm not spending thanksgiving with him."

"Francis Castle-"

"Francis?" Matt laughed. "Your name is Francis?"

"Okay I'm done, I'm done." Frank said, putting his hands up defensively.

Just as Frank stopped speaking, the light for the elevator blinked brightly as it came to a full stop. The old metal doors opened, revealing a large room that was darkened. The only light being from a singular hanging light in the middle of the room, and the fireworks that fizzled outside.

"This doesn't look sketchy at all." You said, walking forward slowly out of the elevator.

Metal beams accessorized the room, along with cracked windows that lined the high walls that where covered in chipped paint and blood stains.

Matt paused in his tracks, his head turning like a dog. He reached out quickly, pressing his hand to your skin to stop you from walking.

"There's a group of people in here." He paused as he listened. "Heartbeats are low, quiet." He felt his heart drop. "Their dying."

"Frank give me your gun." You said, turning around to face him. He moved the strap over his head as he gave his riffle to you. You turned the weapon light on, shining it over the room.

Your breathing hitched immediately as you saw groups of people being held in what looked like cages. Their blood dripped onto the floor as an IV pressed heavily into their veins. Their eyes hung low as most leaned against the wall-paralyzed.

"What the fuck is that?" Frank questioned.

"Dominic." You breathed. "He's giving them the Iscariot, we need to get them out of here."

You fled for the group of people that where up against the wall, being held in separate cages. You stopped in front of a young woman, her skin was pale as dark circles covered under her eyes. Her head looked buzzed as hair particles lined the floor she sat on.

You pulled your mask down. "Hey-" You moved your hand inside the cage, shaking her slightly. "Come on, please wake up."

Her eyes opened slowly. Her pupils where dilated as blood shot iris's stared into your eyes.

"I'm gonna get you out of here, okay?" You said panicked as Frank and Matt all ran towards separate people, trying to get them out of the cages they sat in.

As you opened the door to the cage, the woman's hand flew forward at you, her nails digging into your skin as she shook uncontrollably.

You looked up at her as she began to cry. "Run."

You shook your head. "No- no I need to get you out of here." You untied the ropes around her legs as she continued pressing her nails into your arm.

"She will- She will kill you." The woman cried.

"Who? Dominic?" You questioned. "Listen, Dominic won't kill me-"

"Not Dominic-" She cried. "She'll kill you, do this to you!" She lifted her arm weakly as it fell to her side. "Get. Out. Of. Here."

"I don't understand-" You shook your head. "Who is he working with? Who is she?"

Just as you finished speaking, the light's turned on inside the large room. Darkness seeped in the corners of the room as Dominic stepped from the elevator, nicely dressed in a suit and trousers, his black hair slicked back.

"Well if it isn't my favorite girl." Dominic smiled, making your entire body grow cold. "Oh come on, you can act a little excited to see me. It's the least you could do after taking down half my guys." He pointed. "Very impressive by the way."

He stepped closer, looking at both Frank and Matt. "Ah, and you brought your boyfriends. Nice little reunion isn't it?"

"Your hurting innocent people, Dominic."

"Oh enough with the heroic bullshit!" He yelled. "What I am doing is saving people! I am creating an army to stop worthless vigilantes like yourself who bring their city down with them!" He stepped closer. "Everywhere you go you leave destruction, and I have no other choice but to stop it."

"Do you see these people?" You shouted, pointing behind you. "They aren't safe, they aren't your army! They are people who you are slowly killing!"

Dominic paused, a smile growing on his lips as he laughed. "You think I'm doing this?"

Your head cocked, confused.

"You are really so naive aren't you?" He said as he stepped closer. " Much like your sister was."

"You don't talk about Stella." You shook your head. "You killed her you fucking asshole."

"Oh honey..." He smiled. "I brought her to life." He spoke. "Before your sister died, I had introduced her to the idea of the Iscariot. I told her that we could stop people from doing horrible things. We could stop the draft for wars, and create something more powerful then any human being." He smiled. "She liked it. She agreed with all of it."

"No." You spoke softly. "No Stella wouldn't have agreed to any of this."

"Then why the hell is she the one who's in control of it all?" He questioned, his smile growing even wider.

You remained silent. It hit you. Dominic's toy, his weapon. This whole time you thought he was the mastermind behind the Iscariot but he wasn't. It was someone much closer, someone who nobody would expect.

A dead man living.

"What do you mean?" You questioned quietly.

Dominic turned his head behind him. "Honey!" He yelled. "Come say hello to our visitors."

Your heart dropped as a shadow grew closer from behind Dominic. Her face, her body, it was familiar.

It was her.

Dressed in a black pantsuit with her hair pinned back, Stella walked closer to Dominic. Her hand rested inside his pocket as she intertwined her fingers with his.

"I have waited a hell of a long time to see you again." Stella smiled, a real smile. The same smile she would wear before she died.

Everything around you became blurry as your heart raced faster then it ever had before. It was like you had seen a ghost-which you had. Stella was dead. Stella's body was found inside the river. Stella had a funeral. Stella was dead.

Stella was dead.

Stella was dead.

Stella.

Was.

Dead.

It was crazy how suddenly everything changed. The person you had been trying to avenge, the person who you had been fighting for- had been trying to get rid of you all along.

"No..." You mumbled as Stella walked closer. She placed her hand on your face, offering the sweet smile that was sweet like honey, and comforting like a blanket.

But for some reason, that smile wasn't as comforting as it was before.

A/n- Well...That was a bit of a twist.

How did we like the change between Matt and Y/n? His speech melts my heart so much! What about Frank finding out? I am so glad you all love Frank in this mini series because he has grown to become one of my favorite characters in the Marvel Netflix (now disney+) shows.

I can't really say much in fear of giving up the next chapter so please bare with me lol. All I have to say for the next chapter is get your tissues ready (Some of you) and be ready to hate me for the ending :)

Anyway, Have a great day/night and stay safe.
