Chapter Twelve ... How To Be A Luna

POV
Adam

"Are you serious right now, Little bit?" A'mosh asked. I was sitting in the sunroom, well one of them. The prettiest one.

Filled with ceramics, paintings, and sculptures.

The place was practically one huge window, the sun came in at just the right light, and the woods were so close, you could see straight into the beginning of the western border.

I was seated on one of the cream-colored couches, A'mosh was standing in the entranceway, he'd been flirting with me, and it wasn't reciprocated.

I was still very much pissed, that he refused to allow my brother to leave pack territory. Avery had been with us for four days, and he wasn't doing well.

His anxiety started when he was nine, and now he was forced to stay in the same house, with the man who created that anxiety.

I told A'mosh we weren't having sex and I meant it, I was doing really good, especially with the start of my training to become a fully-fledged Luna.

"You're really being a bitch you know that?" He asked, storming into the sunroom. "Screw you, I told you we weren't going to do anything until Avery was free." I snapped, remaining seated.

"I can't little one, Avery is Shawn's mate, he made a mistake, in fact, his wolf actually made the mistake, Shawn was feral when his wolf attacked Avery." A'mosh said, coming and kneeling in front of me.

"I'm horny Adam, I need you baby." He whined, and I smiled kissing him.

"That's too bad Alpha, blame your butt buddy Shawn. Now, your mom's coming to give me my first lesson. So ... byyyyyyyeee." I said, holding the bye dramatically.

"Fine, but believe me... You'll beg to feel my dick, long before I ask again." He said, and I chuckled, he was so pissed. It served him right.

As I was sitting, Avery poked his head into the room, whisper asking if he could join me.

"Yeah, come in, how are you?" I asked, knowing from the dark purple circles under his eyes that he hadn't slept.

"I-I'm scared monkey, Shawn scares me, this place scares me... I just want to go home." He cried, and I sighed heavily, knowing I didn't yet have my authority as a Luna.

"Well I'm working on that, in a few weeks I'll be a fully recognized Luna, and then I'll have the exact amount of authority A'mosh does. And when that happens, he won't be able to keep you here." He listened, but he didn't look hopeful.

"Has he tried anything on you?" I asked. "All he do-does is stare at me, he tr-tries talking to m-me, but I just start pa-panicking." He explained.

"What does he do when you have a panic attack?" I asked.

"He growls at me." He said, a weird look on his face, my face immediately mimicking his. "He growls at you. Seriously?" I asked, slowly getting pissed.

"N-not in a bad way, i-it helps... Ye-yesterday it stopped a panic attack completely." He stuttered. "Oh... Really?" I asked, and he nodded.

"Can I ask how you knew about Shawn, he was in wolf form when he marked you right?" I'd been wondering about that since everything with Shawn came out.

"A-a little after mom and dad put you out, I-I was really lonely, s-so I started getting into the craft." I stopped him, confused by a meaning.

"What's the craft? Like arts and shit?" I asked. "Witchc-craft Monkey. I'm a practicing conjurer." Avery noted.

"No way, not you Mr church every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday?" I asked in disbelief.

"Y-yeah, you remember h-how bad I was after the attack, well it got worst for a while, a-after I lost you. T-then I met Ahote. He was like a light in a dark place." Avery explained.

"He sa-saw almost everything about m-me. A conjurer from birth. He introduced me to m-ma'jik." He added.

"Magic?" I repeated back to him, "No, ma-magic is what w-we call it now... But it's real name, Ma'jik means energy. A-Ahote showed me some wild  stuff, stuff you wouldn't believe." Avery said.

"My soulmate is a werewolf, I have a soulmate. Anything's possible." I said. "Speaking of A'mosh, I love his vi-vibe, he re-really is good for you," Avery added.

"He didn't start out that wa..."

"Sorry to interrupt gentlemen, but it's time for Adam and me to get down to business, if you would excuse us, Avery." A'mosh's mother  Alice said, sweeping gracefully into the room.

"Mrs. Ch-Chambers, can I pl-please stay with you guys, I'll be sup-super quiet." Avery stammered.

"It's fine with me if it's fine with our Luna," Alice said, turning to me for confirmation. "He's fine."

Alice sat down across from me with a graceful smile, and then she began talking.

"What is a Luna?" Alice asked, running a manicured nail through a white stripe of her hair.

"A Luna is the mate of an Alpha, equal to the Alpha in power, strength, and respect." I'd studied some on my own, a few books in the Luna's office.

But Alice was the key to how the pack was run, our pack, my pack.

"That's true, but we are so much more. We are the voice of understanding, reason, and patience. Alpha's at times are savages... We are the song that soothes them. When we end today's lesson I'm going to give you the keys to your office." Alice said.

"For the next couple of weeks, you'll learn about Luna's of this pack who came before you. You'll learn our history and how to control the new urges and feelings you'll experience." She added.

"Feelings? Urges?" I asked. "You're human, so am I, that will slowly change, not much but some things are different."

"Like what I asked?"

"Today we'll focus on your senses. Come on." She said, standing quickly and walking to the open arched doorway.

"Avery sweetie, you haven't been marked yet, so you won't be able to keep up with Adam and me," Alice said.

"O-okay." Avery agreed. "He has been marked though when he was younger. Shawn's wolf found him, attacked him. He's marked." I said.

"Really? And you've never felt any urges to run, break free, eat raw meat?" She asked, and Avery shook his head no.

"Well I'll help you open your senses as well." She said.

POV
A'mosh

During the days the Adam trained with my mother, I was beyond pissed. She was teaching him to be a Luna, teaching him to use his new strength, speed, and senses.

My mother gave him the perfect distraction, he didn't seem to be the same little nympho, and I blamed myself.

I'd given him good dick on call and now that he knew he was mine, he was being stingy.

Shawn's ungrateful ass couldn't even get Avery to speak to him. Avery too had learned that he was faster and stronger, but he didn't care to train like Adam.

At night Adam sat in his office for hours, reading my ancestors histories, learning and growing as a Luna.

As days went on his confidence grew, he knew he was my equal and he acted like it. When Avery asked to be taken to some party or something, Adam didn't ask me.

He took my car and just drove off, I didn't go looking for him, because he'd given me perfect ammo. And before you judge me I was getting desperate.

Adam is addictive and I knew what it was like to go without him, without being inside him and I hate it.

Shawn at that moment was being an irritating fuck. Bitching at me about not controlling my mate.

We were in the kitchen, I was fixing a sandwich and he came in to harass me. "Use your link, where are they?" He whined.

"Dude you sound like a bitch, back off sit down and relax. Adam isn't crazy, he's not gonna go against my word." I said.

"Oh shut up, he already goes against your word, you said Avery couldn't leave pack land but he's gone isn't he?" Shawn asked.

"Whatever," I said, sitting down at one of the counters to eat.

"When he comes back, Avery is moving to my ward, I can't risk him running off," Shawn said, his eyes dancing from brown to midnight black.

Being feral is a bad thing for werewolves, it's what rogues are. Completely wolf, most can't come back from it.

Shawn was only half gone when he ran off all those years ago, I found him holding up in some woods outside of Texas...

Took him months to get his shit together, he was locked up in our bane ward for three weeks. So he gets a little wild sometimes, a bit aggressive.

"Where did they even go, did Adam say?" He asked.

"Fuck no, I didn't see Adam, we aren't on the best of terms right now, because you want to treat your mate like a fuckin prisoner. Because of you, I haven't fucked my baby in over a week, I'm tired of listening to your shit. Go for a run and leave me alone! Now Shawn!" I snapped.

He growled low in his chest and stormed off.

Call it a dirty trick, but when Adam got back, I had every intention of playing the worried mate. I was going to guilt him into giving up the ass.
