Chapter Six ... Eternals
POV
Adam
Waking up in Amosh's arm's, was strange, I'd fallen asleep in them, as seemed usual.
I'd been with him for a month, four weeks, I hadn't been seen by humans who knew me for four weeks.
Yet every day, I'd gotten a little closer to the people around me.
The pack Omega's adored me, I started helping out with dinner, and suddenly everyone is eating as a pack.
I talked about Ronnie and Shay a lot, but when I brought up home, A'mosh's attitude would change.
He'd go back to the cold, cocky guy he was when he bought me.
So I was surprised when he told me to go see them. "Are you sure?" I asked, standing in the doorway of his wide box-shaped office.
"Look, I agreed to pay you for your services upon completion of those services, I trust you'll be back for your check." He said.
I didn't outwardly show it, but his words hurt. I was basically in love with a guy who thought I was simply a whore, he wasn't wrong though.
"You want some spending money?" He asked, "No ... I have cash at home." I said, trying not to sound bothered. "Oh... Okay." Was all he said. I turned around to leave but stopped.
I guess being nineteen, I was still wild and always pushing boundaries.
"Can I take your truck?" I asked. "Sure, but when you come back I get to hang you from the beam in my room, and play with your body." He smirked.
"Sounds like a deal," I responded, smirking at his surprise. "Don't crash, don't get pulled over, and what time will you be home... I mean back... what time will you be back?" He asked he said home. Home as if I lived with him, he threw me his keys.
"You said home?" The words fell from my lips, while I stared at him. "I-I didn't mean it like that." He responded, looking me dead in the eyes.
"Remember, I get to play with you however I want." He said. "I heard you," I said, running away before he took his keys back.
I headed out front and walked down the driveway, to where he kept his truck. The thing was huge, all black with leather seats.
It was as sexy as it's the owner.
I hopped in the truck, started it up feeling the engine purr. I looked at myself in the mirror, shaking out my hair.
With a smile, I took off.

I drove over to the Ninth Ward, the old Desire housing projects, renamed Abundance Square after its clean up. Right away I spotted Benny.
Benny's a weed dealer who use to fuck around on the low with Ronnie, he claims he's straight, but he knows I know that it's bullshit.
Strangely though his arm was wrapped in a cast, I pulled alongside him.
"Oh, shit, who you steal this from? He asked, approaching the car when he saw it was me.
"Nobody, I'm borrowing it, where're my folks?" I asked. "Man where you been, Shay's mom sobered up, she came and took her back with her to Cali," Benny said, lighting a Newport.
He leaned down into my window, "And Ronnie, that nigga got some crazy shit going on with this older white dude, he saw me talking to Ronnie and fucked my arm up. I shot the nigga twice. He ain't flinch." He said.
"What?!" I asked, "Yeah bruh, he left with the guy, kicking and screaming." Benny explained it all and my heart started to race.
"I'mma head over to the house, check shit out," I said. He nodded, stepping back and I peeled away.
I pulled up to our little spot, parked and went inside. It was empty, I mean all the furniture was there, but the air was stale, no sprays from Shay, no weed... Our little spot was done.
Shay and Ronnie had to have their phone on them, I just needed to grab my charger, I took that and some clothes.
I was surprised to find the cash all still in the kitchen, eight thousand dollars, behind the space in the wall. I took all of it and got outta there.

I sat outside in Amosh's truck, calling Shay, after ten calls she finally called me back.
"What the hell?!" I shouted, "Adam where... What the fuck happened to you, we thought you got killed." She screamed back.
"No, I met this guy, he's a freaking werewolf... No, I'm dead ass serious like he can turn into a fuckin wolf." I said. "Where's Ronnie?" She asked.
"Benny said he was taken by some white guy, I'm gonna call him again," I said, adding a call.
It rang for a while, before Ronnie answered, and I quickly clicked back over to Shay. "A-Adam." He whispered. "Where are you?" Shay asked.
"I'm somewhere outside of New Orleans, I think it's Washington, wait... Yeah, it's Washington... I'm in a ho-hotel... Hotel Dominique." He said.
"Are you safe?" I asked, "N-no... I don't want to be here and Abraham won't let me leave." He muttered. "No... He's dangerous, he's a vampire." He said, his breathing erratic.
"No my ass, I'm coming to get you, I'll beep twice," I said. "I'm on my way, Shay I'm hanging up, stay on the line with him, if anything changes call me back," I added, hanging up before Ronnie could argue.
Washington is a village, it's two hours away from New Orleans. I didn't think about facing death, I was only concerned with finding my friend.
So I drove those two hours, luckily there was only one Hotel Dominique. It was a nice looking joint, but it was still cheap.
I parked and beeped the horn twice, waiting seem to take hours, I thought maybe he'd gotten caught, but then I saw Ronnie, his once whitish blonde hair was once again black.
He seemed to be struggling to get out the door, and that's when I saw another man. His pale arm, pulling Ronnie back inside.
I got out of the truck, preparing to go help, but it wasn't necessary to because the pale strong looking arm, started to burn, the sun was sizzling the flesh.
"Start the truck!" Ronnie screamed, spotting me and running. They were on the second floor, so he had to run down a flight of stairs.
I hopped in, starting the truck and opening up the passenger door. Ronnie jumped in slamming the door, and I sped clean off.
We didn't speak for a long while, not until we were out of Washington and back in New Orleans.
"What the hell Ron?" I snapped, "First off, ew don't call me that, secondly... Thank you for coming, I thought I was gonna die." He said, scratching the two puncture wounds on his neck.
"A vampire, is it the same one?" I asked, "Yeah it's the same one, he says we're connected, and he's not lying, I feel something for him, but I'm also scared." He said.
"Connected?" I asked. "I'm his Eternal, whatever that means." He said. "I should have believed you when you said he was a vampire," I said, remembering the first bite he received.
"Yeah, what happened to you?" He asked, "I met a werewolf, an Alpha, that's whose truck we're in, and that's where I'm taking you." I answered.
"Werewolves, no... I think you should just take me ho..."
"No, you can't fight him, but A'mosh he can protect you." I said, "I'm breaking his heart... I can feel it." He said, and I looked over to see him crying.
"Do you love him?" I asked, "No, but I could maybe, he's just too possessive, and he... He killed some people, he said I'd be like him... He's gonna turn me into a monster." He wept.
"No, he isn't, I promise," I said, not being really confident. I still didn't feel safe, not until I got back onto the stretch of dirt road that was the beginning of A'mosh's territory.
"Whoa," Ronnie said, taking in the dense woods and the mini-mansions that poked out here and there.
"It's beautiful, I know... This goes on for miles, and they're all werewolves." I explained.
"Do you really think your friend can help me?" He asked.
"Yeah, I don't think there's anything he can't do," I said. "Ewwww... Do you like him?" He asked.
"Yes... I more than like him, but he's hung up on finding his mate. He just sees me as what I am, a prostitute." I said. "That's what kept you away, well at least your guy isn't a monster." He said.
We drove in silence until we reached the biggest house in the territory, the packhouse. We parked and got out, "The sun will be going down soon, he'll find me." Ronnie said.
"Just come on, you'll be safe here," I said assuringly.

"A vampire! You were supposed to go and visit your friends, instead, you form some rescue party and endanger the lives of over a hundred innocent men, women, and children!" A'mosh shouted, pacing the wide length of his office.
"It wasn't like that I promise, but my best friend is in trouble, and I didn't know where else to go, I figured A'mosh is strong, I figured you could keep him safe," I said.
"You think I'm strong?" He asked, and I rolled my eyes. "Can you help him, please Alpha." I pleaded. "Fine, but I can't promise you anything permanent." He said.
"Thank you!" I shouted happily, running and jumping into his arms, kissing him. It wasn't our first kiss, but it was still different, it wasn't sexual, it was a romantic gesture.
I climbed out of his arms apologizing, then I left to go comfort, Ronnie. He was in the living room of the packhouse, which is the biggest room I'd ever seen.
He was sitting, more like rocking on the edge of one of the tan sofa's. "He said you can stay, he wants to talk to you though, once you calm down of course," I explained.
"He's gonna find me, Adam, it's like I can feel him, his emotions. He's scared, but mostly he's just pissed." Ronnie said.
"Hello, I'm sorry to interrupt, but I figured it best to get our introduction out of the way." A'mosh said, entering the living room, his Beta Shawn with him.
"This is Ronnie." I said, and A'mosh nodded, "So Ronnie, this vampire of yours, has he fed on you?" He asked. "A few times yeah, why?" Ronnie asked.
"Could be a number of reasons, but I don't want to scare you unnecessarily, do you mind if we take a look at the wounds?" A'mosh asked.
Ronnie leaned his head to one side, giving them access to the puncture marks. They approached him and began examining his neck.
"See, I thought so, it's not a feeding bite, see the number of veins, it's a claiming bite. Has your vampire said anything about you being his Eternal?" Shawn asked.
"Yes, he calls me that a lot," Ronnie answered. "What does that mean?" I asked, "It means they're mates, it means there's nothing that's gonna keep him away, he'll do whatever it takes to get you back." Shawn said.
"So what do I do?" Ronnie asked, "Well I'm positive he'll find you, but we're willing to guard you until you feel comfortable with him." A'mosh explained.
The rest of the day was spent consoling a scared Ronnie, he went through so many emotions, I tried to be there for him, but I was also jealous. He was basically mates with the vampire and yet I couldn't have A'mosh."
Shawn and A'mosh had their men on guard, but they didn't expect that to be enough. And it wasn't.
Maybe an hour or two after sunset, A'mosh, Ronnie and I were sitting in the kitchen, we were finally getting Ronnie to eat something.
"This is really good, these biscuits are the bomb, you've gotta teach me how to make these." Ronnie groaned, devouring the buttery hot dough.
"They are amazing little one." A'mosh said, taking another from the basket of golden brown heaven.
"Yeah well you ain't getting the recipe, you still holding on to your fried chicken recipe," I said. We were digging in when A'mosh just stood up.
"He's here, we'll see how old he is by how long it takes him to get pass patrol." As the words left A'mosh's mouth, Ronnie and I moved to stand.
A door slammed somewhere off in the house, and second's later a wild man stood before us. His hair was shoulder length and hung down in fiery red curls.
He was shirtless and super pale, he was muscular and he would have been attractive if it wasn't for how scared I was.
"Get over here, Now!" The vampire commanded, his eyes focused on Ronnie. "Vampire, we have a problem." A'mosh said, stepping towards the man.
"We won't have one, wolf, not if I get my Eternal back." He snarled, his eyes flashing crimson. "What's your name?" A'mosh asked, showing no fear.
Even though the vampire was practically vibrating with rage, "Why did you run from me, Ronald?" The vampire asked, ignoring A'mosh.
At that moment, Shawn burst into the room, followed by the packs third and fourth in command. The vampire began hissing and snarling at them, like a feral feline.
"Again, what is your name?" A'mosh asked as the vampire looked around, hissing. "Abraham." He spat.
"Abraham, I understand you and Ronnie are connected, but he's quite scared of you, and you aren't helping matters." A'mosh explained, stepping closer to Abraham.
"He's not afraid of me, are you?" Abraham asked and we all turned to look at Ronnie, who simply nodded.
"Why? Because you saw me feeding?" He asked.
"You kidnapped me, and then you wouldn't let me leave," Ronnie answered. "You're mine, we already discussed this, and the sooner you accept me the happier you'll be," Abraham said.
"Abraham, it doesn't seem like Ronnie wants to go with you at this time, but I'm sure he'll come around." A'mosh said, and Abraham growled looking at Ronnie.
"Come to me," Abraham said, his voice going monotone. "Ronnie, what are you doing?" I asked as he walked away from our side, away from safety.
"Abraham, that's not how you want him, you don't want him through force...."
"Oh shut up werewolf, two thousand years I spent alone, I won't do it anymore. He is mine and I will have him!" He shouted, yanking Ronnie's head to the side and slamming his fangs into the healing wounds.
Ronnie didn't stand a chance, and when the wolves in the room moved to help him, Abraham took off running. A'mosh and his men gave chase.
I was left to wonder what was happening, my mind racing.
I was nervous, one of my best friends was gone, and the other was just taken. I was left to sit and wonder.

It took an hour, but they caught him, they separated him from Ronnie, Abraham was placed in the dungeons, while Ronnie was taken to the pack infirmary.
For all their hard work, it was pointless, Ronnie was on the verge of death. He was practically drained of blood, a transfusion was needed, but Abraham was his mate.
A'mosh said that meant he wouldn't heal, not without drinking from Abraham, and drinking from Abraham would make him a vampire.
"He doesn't have long little one, you need to make a decision." A'mosh said, sitting down beside me.
We were in Ronnie's hospital room, I was watching him lay comatose. "I don't want him to die," I said. "Then we'll let his mate finish the ritual, and he'll live." A'mosh explained.
"Will he change? Will he be like him?" I asked. "Yes, especially with them being Eternals." He answered, giving me honesty.
"No, don't cry... He'll remember you, and if he truly loved you, he won't be able to hurt you." He said, wiping away my tears with his thumbs.
"He'll hate me though, he won't want to live like that." I said, "No... He'll love it, immortals, even the bloodsucking kind, they have something we'll never possess."
"What?" I asked, "Time." He answered. "Yeah, but an eternity with that monster," I said.
"He loves your friend, more than you'll ever be able to comprehend... Trust me, Soul mates mean everything. He'll protect him, love him, just give Abraham a chance." A'mosh said.
"Okay, do it." I said, staring into A'mosh eyes as they flashed black, and I knew he was talking to one of his pack members.
"They're bringing him." A'mosh said, standing and taking my hand.
"Where are we going, I want to be here," I said. "No you don't, vampires have to... Fuck their Eternals during the transformation ritual." A'mosh said, and I yanked away from him.
"He's in a coma, I'm not gonna let him rape him." I snapped. "Calm down a little bit, he'll wake up during." He explained. "This shit is weird," I said.
"Yeah, but it's our normal." He said, stopping me from walking.
"And, don't think I forgot, when this is settled, I'm gonna have so much fun with you." He whispered, directly into my ear, licking and nibbling the shell, my knee shook, and he chuckled.
Walking through the makeshift ER, I wouldn't have been able to distinguish it from a real one.
As we were heading out, the Delta Keaton, and the Gamma Brandon were bringing Abraham down in wooden shackles. Apparently, certain woods are like silver to vampires.
His eyes flashed crimson as they fell on me, "Abraham. Can you promise me one thing?" I asked, leaning into A'mosh out of fear. "What human?" He asked, seething through his fangs.
"When you change him, promise that I'll still be able to see him, go out, laugh and just hang like we use to," I said.
"If your Alpha would allow me, and my Eternal a space on his land, for a few weeks... Then I would see no issue with your remaining friends with Ronald." He said, and I looked hopefully up at A'mosh.
He sighed rolling his eyes at me but nodded anyhow. "Okay, oh and he hates Ronald and Ron, I'd stick with Ronnie," I said.
"Why are you letting me turn him?" He asked, "Because he's dying and I had no other choice, you made sure of that." I said, and he smirked.
Brandon and Keaton carried him off, and A'mosh and I left. "Hurry up, I want you now." A'mosh groaned, squeezing my hips.
"I swear you're worst than me sometimes," I said, laughing and running off. It was a hectic day, but things would be okay.
I'd let Ronnie tell Shay when and if he wanted, I was low key happy for him, he'd have somebody to love him for eternity.
Looking back at A'mosh, I wanted nothing more than for him to be mine, but I wasn't as lucky as Ronnie.
Not being able to keep A'mosh, was sad, but I decided I'd settle for the time we had, however long that was.
