It was quite the walk towards the Temen Ni Gru since the majority of the journey was silent between you and Raven. You didn't mind her company,  however you still recalled the times where you and Taiyang would always fight over her... Literally,

In the end, the blonde fighter had won when the two of you went all out in one final duel that would decide as to who Raven would choose. Unfortunately you lost the duel, which left you heartbroken because you spent a lot of time in combat school spending time with the black haired beauty.

Sometime afterwards, you unlocked your devil abilities which made you curse yourself for not being able to awaken the power before the battle. Either way, you had moved on from the event and simply continued your life slaying demons and Grimm. Although your feelings for her continued to stay, so much that it was the reason why you have escaped death multiple times.

(Y/N): *in your thoughts* More importantly, she seems awfully nice all of a sudden. She hasn't been like this before she chose Tai...

The both had finally arrived in front of the tower's entrance. A small chill was sent down your spine as the temperature suddenly dropped.

(Y/N): Last chance to turn back.

She gave you a small smirk signifying the she wasn't going to retreat.

Raven: This place has spawned demons that have been invading my home for the past week. I cannot sit back and allow these demons to slaughter my people.

You gave her a small grin in return. This was the still same woman that you had fallen in love with, never afraid to back down from a challenge and is always more than happy to deliver a beat down to anyone threatening her.you never understood as to why she left Taiyang. Of course she had to lead her people as well as having a "survival of the fittest" personality but you knew she had another unknown reason.

(Y/N): Why is it suddenly cold?

The two of you stepped inside the entrance to find ice covering the walls and a large sculpture of ice blocking the path. The sculpture quickly broke apart to reveal a large three headed dog covered in armor of ice, as well as it being chained to the wall.

Cerberus: Leave now, Mortals! The likes of you are forbidden at this land! You who are powerless are not worthy to set foot here!

Raven: A giant talking dog...

(Y/N): Well if it talks... Hey! You seen a girl with blue hair around here? I'll give you a doggy treat as a reward~

The three headed demon was angered by your taunt and let out a vicious roar that sealed the door behind you. The woman next to you held I her laugh but she was rather amused 

Cerberus: You, a mere human, dare make a mockery out of me?!

(Y/N): Who said I was human?

You drew your lightning sword, Alastor, while Raven flicked her weapon from the sheath.

Raven: I could always use some new trophies on my wall.

The three headed dog launched an ice spike at you but it was easily blocked by your blade, although he only used as a diversion while it lunged at Raven. She swiftly dodged the attack with a side dash and attempted to slice off one of the heads but the ice armor blocked the cut.

Having observed the strengt of the armor, you switched to Ifrit but instead of using the weapon itself, you activated Devil Trigger and began to rapidly shoot fire coated bullets to melt the ice. The strategy was working as the ice began to shatter quickly until it was completely exposed for Raven to move in and unleashed swift strikes.

The combination of attacks from the tribe leader was enough to destroy the first head but the others grew angrier at the loss. It let out a deafening roar that shook the room, causing icicles from the ceiling to drop down. All of the spikes falling were right above your heads but the both of you skillfully dodged the attacks.

Cerberus let out another roar to coat the ground in ice, freezing the huntress's feet to keep her on the ground.

Raven: Damn!

She was prepared to make an attempt to pick the swipe from the demon until you landed in front of her and used a well timed block to break through the attack with a powerful counter.

With the large demon stunned from the sudden defense,  you used Ifrit to deliver a ground pound that created a shock wave of flames that cleared the ice from the ground and instantly destroyed another head.

Luckily, the extreme hear from the attack was enough to melt the ice armor on the last remaining head. Raven used this chance to decapitate the last head with a powerful strike wot her sword, using the fire dust in her weapon to ensure a swift cut.

Once the three headed demon was slain, it vanished into dust while leaving behind a ball of glowing blue light. The flaming gauntlets disappeaes leaving your sword to remain in your back but the ball of light drifted towards you. Once you grabbed the light, it transformed into three rods chained onto a ring. Holding the triple nunchaku made you grin as you began to have yourself a little fun and began to skillfully practice with the weapon as if you had already used that type of weapon. (Just imagine the scene when Dante first got Cerberus XD.)

This went for nearly a minute as you wielded the weapon with such skill that even the red eyes woman became easily impressed of your ability to easily adapt. Perhaps it was because of the fact that she still held feelings for you after all of this time but she didn't mind.

Once you were finished having fun with your newly acquired Devil Arm,  it vanished so that Alastor may reclaim its place on your back.

Raven: Was that really necessary?~

(Y/N): There's nothing wrong with having a little fun every once in a while.

Raven: Interesting, perhaps I'll take your advice.

The black haired beauty began to walk towards the entrance, although the way she begs to sway her hips in front of you brought a smirk to your face.

(Y/N): *in thought* Well played.

Once the both of you were inside,  you grew surprised at the interior and realized that it may take a while to navigate around the tower.

(Y/N): Great! Already going to be a pain!

Raven: By the way...

You turned to the black haired woman giving you here usual blank look.

Raven: What's your reason for entering this place?

(Y/N): Just saving my niece's friend.

Raven: You mean the child of the war monk and the angel of death has requested your aid?

(Y/N): Yup, her friend was kidnapped and taken here.

Raven: Interesting...

You simply shrugged off her disenterest to your reasoning but she'd be willing to lend her aid since the tower was threatening her tribe.

Raven: *in thought* But if it's for you... I'll do anything...

(Y/N): Anyways, let's get a move on. Who knows what this bastard could want for kidnapping a priestess.
