Last time on The Devil's Past

As the future team STRQ ran off, As they ran off, the Juggernaut watches them leave, almost making sure that there wasn't anything in its way against y/n. When it and y/n saw they were out of sight, the two face each other.

"So, you can evolve, huh big guy?" Y/n cracks his knuckles.

The Juggernaut got into a fighting position as y/n pulls out his pistols. "If that's true, then let's see what's your final stage is, shall we?" Y/n began to spin his pistols in his hands as he walks up to the Grimm.

"Let's rock, baby!"

The Juggernaut leaps at y/n to smash him with its fists, but he jumps back in time as the Juggernaut missed, creating a small crater in the ground. Y/n began shooting the Grimm but as each bullet made contact with the Juggernaut's skin, the Grimm somehow absorbs them into itself.

"???" Y/n lifts an eyebrow upon seeing the absorption. Once y/n lands, he couldn't help but grin as the Juggernaut turns to him. "That's a nice trick ya got there!" He says as he pulls out his sword. "But lets see how you can do against a sword!"

The Juggernaut runs at y/n as the latter does the same.

Meanwhile

Raven sliced a Beowulf in two. She spins around and sliced another Grimm's head off before sheathing her sword. After finishing off a pack of Grimm. She turns around to face her teammates.

"That's all of them. Hurry up you two." She demands Qrow and Summer.

The two nod as they were holding a bleeding Tai over their shoulders. The two ran ahead of Raven as she looks back to where y/n and the Juggernaut are currently fighting.

"Don't die, y/n." She mumbles before she ran after her group.

Back to the fight

Y/n slides back as his sword went flying into the forest. He looks back to his sword and saw it disappear deep into the forest.

"Good thing that was a replica." He mutters. "Dad would've probably been pissed if I-." His sentence was cut off as he was punched in the face.

Y/n didn't have time to recover as the Juggernaut combo punches y/n. After the fifth punch, he managed to grab the Grimm's fist in his own.

"You sure pack quiet a punch." He says, seeing the Grimm confused made him grin before head butting it. "But unfortunately for you..." He continues as the Grimm stumbles back.

Y/n's arms and feet began glowing. When the Grimm recovered, it looks at y/n, which was a mistake as the glow as bright enough to blind it.

"So can I!" He shouts.

New weapons were summoned on y/n's hands and feet.

Y/n charged at the Grimm and began to mix combos of punches and kicks onto the Grimm. After those, y/n spun in the air before he axe kicked the Grimm's face.

Next, y/n began to disappear, reappear from a different angle, and punches or kicks the Grimm several times and then disappear again. He does this over and over before reappearing in fronted the Juggernaut and uppercuts the beast into the air. As the Grimm falls the the ground, y/n charged up an attack from his right arm before shooting a ball of light at the Grimm, which explodes immediately upon contact. Smoke goes everywhere as y/n walks up to the spot while his weapons disappear. He waits for the Grimm to show itself, but nothing happens.

"Okayyyy..." He says in confusion. "It couldn't have been that-."

Suddenly, y/n saw within the smoke the silhouette of the Grimm standing up. The Grimm had a black aura around itself, which began to absorb any negativity emotions that it could within a few miles.

"???"

The silhouette of the Grimm falls on both of its knees before it began to change. Black water and tar forms around its body as it fell to the floor. The substances melted the ground as if it was acid. The Grimm's muscles and back expands tremendously. It's face began to change too, morphing into something else completely. As this all happened, red lightning coats the Grimm's body. Just as the transformation was almost complete, the Juggernaut lets out an ear piercing shriek.

Before y/n could do anything, it slowly stood up, now two times taller than before. Y/n could only see its silhouette and its red eyes.

"Oh cra-."

The evolved Grimm lets out a loud shriek, loud enough to send gusts of wind around itself and forcing y/n back. He looks at the 'new' Grimm with his eyes for the first time.

Once it was done, it looks at y/n with rage in its eyes. The Grimm disappears, only to reappear behind y/n, and grabs him by the face before slamming him into the ground.

"!!!"

Y/n teleports behind the Grimm and was about to attack, but the Grimm quickly turns around and punches his stomach, knocking the wind out of him. The punch sent y/n back several yards. He rolls on the ground for a bit but quickly recovers. He leaps back on his feet as the Grimm charges at him again.

'D-damnit!' Y/n thought as he didn't have time to dodge in time.

Y/n's body suddenly glows. Grey symbols explode out of him as a bright light shines from him as well. The light causes the Grimm to stop its charge in order to block the light from its eyes. The light quickly dies down as the Grimm opens its eyes and saw a change in y/n.

"What's wrong?" Y/n's voice sounded deeper and had a small echo as well. "Never seen someone else transform?"

The evolved Juggernaut lets out a deafening and powerful roar. The roar even began to make y/n slide back as he had his arms in his face.

"Now that's impressive!" Y/n yells in excitement.

The Grimm charges again. It was in front of y/n as he wasn't fazed by it. The Juggernaut punches y/n, but he blocks it with his hand. Y/n goes in for a punch as well, but the Grimm also blocks his punch. The two then began to trade dozens of quick yet powerful punches at each other.

Eventually y/n got a lucky shot and managed to punch the Grimm's stomach. That sent it back several feet before y/n turns back to normal. He charges at the Grimm as the gauntlets and boots were summoned again. He leaps in the air and kicks the Grimm in the face, cracking its mask a little. The Grimm tries to roar in anger, but y/n quickly punches the Grimm again, silencing it. The Grimm forces itself to recover as it lets out another roar. Y/n backflips backwards to avoid the roar again. Once the Grimm stops roaring, it took a single step forward before disappearing. Y/n was about to turn around, but the Juggernaut reappears behind him.

"Oh shi-!"

The Juggernaut punches y/n in the face, sending him flying. As y/n was still recovering from the punch, the Juggernaut reappears behind y/n and uppercuts him into the air. Once y/n was probably at least one hundred feet in the air, a tree was thrown at him. Again, the Juggernaut reappears next to y/n before it used both of its giant hands to slam him into the ground. A giant crater was made from the impact as an explosion of dust covers y/n's body.

The Grimm lands right next to the crater. It hears a quiet groan come from the crater as the dust began to clear up. Y/n slowly got up while struggling. When the dust clears, the Grimm saw y/n bleeding from his forehead and mouth. His clothes were torn apart as he was glaring at the Grimm. Y/n wipes the blood off his lips as he spoke.

"Okay...now I'm pissed." Y/n said maliciously.

The air around them became heavy. Wind blew around y/n as his body glows red. The wind made his hair fly in all directions as he yells.

"HAAAAAAAA-!!!"

The Grimm saw in y/n's eyes the rage he was holding back. It was about to absorb his negativity before the glow around y/n's body suddenly explodes outwards.

"AAAAAAH!!!"

A giant explosion erupts from where y/n was. Smoke, dust, and fire flew in the air as the Grimm was pushed back. Its feet skid against the ground for a bit before eventually regaining control. The Grimm looks to where y/n was and saw something walking out of the smoke.

"No more holding back." Y/n says. His voice was much deeper than before, almost sounding demonic with venom in his voice. In his right hand a new sword was summoned.

The blade suddenly transforms as a pair of bat-like wings appear on y/n's back. The blade lets out a pink aura as he scrapes it against the ground.

"Let's finish this." Y/n says.

The Grimm roars before charging at him. Y/n dug his heels into the ground before flying at the Grimm faster than a bullet. The Grimm couldn't get a good look at him, but it saw y/n for a split second. He looked demonic with black and purple scales and his wings were purple as well.

Meanwhile

Raven and the others were standing at the edge of the cliff that they were launched from. Ozpin orders for the others to take Tai to the infirmary as Raven stayed behind for y/n. The two felt the ground shake as they heard a loud explosion from behind. They turned around and saw purple flames fly in the air as many trees fell.

"Y/n!" Raven yells in fear. She was about to run after him but Ozpin grabs her arm, holding her back. She looks back to him and saw him giving her a look.

"I'm sure he can handle it." Ozpin says as he lets her go.

Raven stares at him in disbelief for a moment or two. Seeing how his calm expression hasn't changed made her look back at the expression with both hope and worry.

'Come on, y/n...' Both Ozpin and Raven thought to themselves.

Meanwhile

Y/n, who was back to his human form, slashes his sword on the Grimm's chest multiple times, leaving permanent wounds with each successful hit before sliding to its back. The Grimm was already in bad shape. Several parts of its skin was torn off as black liquid spews out its body. The wounds slowly turn purple as poison began to flood the Grimm's blood. It roars in anger as y/n turns around and swung its back, repeating the process over and over again. The Grimm tries to smash the ground with its fists, but y/n cuts its arm off. The Grimm roars in rage as it's body suddenly expands again. Red lightning explodes from its body as more black water and tar spews out all over the place. Y/n was forced to jump back to avoid being hit. He saw the creature trying to evolve again and took this as a perfect opportunity to give one last attack.

"This is the final attack for the both of us!" He says as his sword disappears as he got into a stance. "Let's show each other who truly is the strongest!"

He cups his hands to his side, his eyes fixed onto the Juggernaut. "KA..." A ball of energy is created in between his hands. It's inner energy was black as the outer was purple. The energy's glow could be seen a few miles away as it charges.

"...MEE...!!!"

The energy slowly growing bigger and bigger as the Juggernaut's spine bulges out and small white bones slowly grow out of its back.

"...HAAA...!!!"

The energy's light grew brighter and brighter. The light emanating from the energy was so bright it could blind anything for miles.

"...MEEEE...!!!" Y/n's hands thrust forward and a streaming, powerful beam of energy was shot out.

"...HAAAAA!!!"

The beam of energy was as fast as a speeding bullet. Within seconds, the beam was already on top of the Grimm. Red lightning explodes everywhere as the Grimm roars into the air. The ground cracks underneath it as a black aura surrounds it. But before it could move the energy hits it and its body began to absorb the energy in it.

"?!?!" Y/n's eyes widen in pure shock as he saw the Grimm absorbing the energy. "W-What the-?!" He shouts as he lowered his arms and the energy died. He pants as he was too tired to continue fighting.

Y/n was cut off when the Grimm suddenly explodes. As the Juggernaut explodes, a small black orb the size of a marble was seen where the heart should be.

"???"

Just as the chunks of the Grimm was about to hit the floor, they all appear to be pulled into the orb slowly. Y/n saw this and knew he had to act fast. He pulls one of his pistols out and aims it at the orb. He charges up a shot as electricity expands from the end of the gun.

"You're time is up, buddy."

He lets go of the trigger and lets the bullet fly. It shot the orb in the center and made it shatter into millions of pieces. It's body melts and drop to the ground. Y/n walks up to the liquid as he saw it dry and shrivel up.

"Huh..." He mutters, both too tired to think and too lazy to come up with a good explanation.

"Y/n!" He heard a voice coming from behind.

He look behind him and saw Raven running up to him. "??? Rave-?" He suddenly pukes out blood. He coughs as he felt his body give in. He drops to the ground but Raven catches him.

"W-What was that?" Raven asks in shock. "Are you alright?"

"I'm...fine...." Y/n mutters as he felt his conscious fading. "Just...tired..." He chuckles before blacking out.

Before anything else could happen, everything stops before the sounds of gunshots were heard. Six bullets shot the screen before it cracks and shatters into nothing.

Hey everyone. Sorry for the wait. Kinda forgot about this story, but luckily it wasn't for too long. I don't know when I'll update next time, since I'll be working on my other stuff as well.
