???'s POV

"D-Damnit, brother!" I shout weakly, before coughing.

I was currently lying on the ground, bleeding. I had a huge wound in my chest as my sword was stabbed into the ground next to me.

"...." Brother stood a couple of feet ahead of me, his back to me, as I drag myself on the ground.

"Are you sure we should do this?" I could barley hear the sound of a muffled woman's voice ask my brother, who was standing next to him.

I could feel my eyelids growing heavier with each second that passes by. My mind was fading as well, making the memory hazy. All I could see was my brother and...that woman, standing in front of a portal. The woman held a rocket launcher in her hands as my brother held his sword over his shoulder.

"...." My brother continues to say nothing as I slowly blink.

When I reopen my eyes, I saw my brother towering over me with a grin.

"We can't have deadweight slowing us down." My brother mutters loud enough for me to hear him.

'D-deadweight?!' My mind began to race as his word echos in my head. 'A-am I really just deadweight to him?!'

"Sorry, bro." Brother says, causing me to look up at him weakly. "This is for the best." He finishes as he pulls out Ivory and aims it at my face. "It's time you wake up."

"Wa-wait..." I plead as my vision fades. All that I remember after was the sound of a single bullet being shot.

No one's POV

Y/n could only hear the sound of a clock ticking every second and a machine beeping every few seconds. Y/n slowly opens his eyes. When he did, he was met with a light shining on his face, causing him to shut his eyes again. He groans softly, annoyed by the light in his face. But he reopened his eyes a few seconds later, his sight blurry, still trying to adjust to the light.

"W-What...?" He mumbles.

At first he couldn't make out where he was. But a moment or two later, his eyes finally adjusted to the light. Turns out the light was from the sun outside a window next to him. He had a view of some sort of garden outside his window.

"Where...?"

The sound of beeping brought his attention back to the room he was in. He turns his head to the other side of the room and saw a heart monitor beside him, with wires leading to his body. He looks down at himself and found himself sitting in a medical bed with a blanket over his body. He pushes the blanket off of him and saw he was in his pants and a simple white shirt. Y/n noticed the wires were hiding underneath his shirt. He grabs most of the wires outside his shirt in one hand and tugs them out from him, causing the machine next to him to flatline, before tossing the wires onto the machine.

He sits up as he puts a hand on his head, feeling a sudden pain sting on that side.

"G-Gah! The hell?!" Y/n mumbles.

Y/n heard some thing or some one across the room. He turns his head to the sound and saw a certain woman sitting on a chair, sleeping. Well, she was sleeping until y/n spoke up.

"Raven?" Y/n questions as he saw the woman wake up.

Raven opens her eyes. When she did, she saw y/n sitting on the edge bed, causing her eyes to widen in shock.

"Y/n?!" She yells in surprise and a hint of excitement. "You're finally awake!"

"Finally?" Y/n repeats. "What do you-? Ack!" Y/n was cut off when Raven suddenly jumps out of her chair and tackled him into a hug.

"You've been unconscious for weeks! We were so worried about you!" She hides her face in y/n's chest.

"I-." Y/n stops talking when he swore he could of heard Raven sniffling. "R-Raven? Are you-?"

"You had m-me worried, dumbass. Y-you could have died..." Raven mutters.

"..." Without y/n knowing, a small smile grew on his lips. He eventually hugs back as he mentally chuckles. "I scared you that much, huh?"

"..."

The two stayed in their positions for a bit. As they did, the dream that y/n had was all he could think about.

Before anything else could happen, everything stops before the sounds of gunshots were heard. Five bullets shot the screen before it cracks and shatters into nothing.

Hey everyone. Sorry about the short chapter. I've been super busy with school and updating other stories that I've had to put several stories on hold for a while. Recently, I decided that I would update a couple of stories that haven't been worked on for a while. This is the first of many. I don't know when I'll update again.
