Chapter 8 : Born of the Night
Father Robert looked stunned at Sister Rosemerta. It was the first time since they had entered the chapel that he looked at her. He was shocked and wondered if he had heard wrong. Sister Rosemerta, a devout catholic wished to visit a witch. "Sorry, what?" He said his tone for the first time since his vist informal almost rude.
Sister Rosemerta seemed to understand his confusion and payed no heed to his tone. "A witch father, another thing I heard from the local villager is that the girl's parents were sterile. They visited a witch, so that through her blessings they coyld concieve and finally have a child of their own." as Sister Rosemerta finished Father Robert seemed to understand even little of the situation at hand. Why would she believe the villagers? He thought. Like msot things you hear from people it might as well could have been a rumour but Sister Rosemerta looked confident. She must have done her research. He wished to question her but before he could Sister had already began heading for the exit. He hurried to catch up with her.
He finally spoke, asking "Where are we going Sister?" The nun did not stop to answer and continued walking as said, "In order to really understand the girl's origins we need to question the person who made her and cursed the village."
"Cursed?" asked the priest. "How?"
"I will explain on the way Father. We have little time to lose." said the nun.
Outside the sun had set hours ago and darkness has set in. Somehow Father Robert had a feeling that going out in this dark would be a bad idea but he had no time to voice his opinion, Sister Rosemerta had already called the carriage. It seemed the witch lived far away from civilization let alone the convent.

Sister Tina stood in front of a large manson and beside her stood Carol. The manson was well kept as if someone still live in here. The gardens were decorated with thick rose bushes. And huge trees stood at the entrance and lined the pathway leading up to the manson entrance. The place looked almost ethereal. She wondered why Carol lived in the convent when she had a beautiful home like this manor.
"Shall we?" Carol said and held Tina's hand and led her into the house. Inside the manson the entrance foyer was lit with huge chandelier hanging from the stone ceiling. The walls were decorated with huge painting and huge plush couches with red velvet clothing stood there with a table in bewteen that had, what looked like gold legs. Two staircases led up to the top of the house where she guessed were the rooms and behind the staircase there was another foyer which she guess led into the living quarters of the servants.
Carol did not stop at the entrance foyer and led her up the stairs into her bedroom.
As the reached the bedroom Carol locked the doors and began stripping her clothes. Tina watched her and began pulling off her own dress. She did not bother putting on her usual cassock and veil when they left.
Carol walked up to Tina and began kissing her hungrily. She pushed Tina on the feather bed and slide between her legs softly caressing the two soft lips. She glanced up at Tina's face and saw she was blushing pink. Tina shuddered at Carol's every touch. Carol smirked at how she could so easily make Tina feel helpless. She began licking the little nub of nerves between her legs. Tina let out a moan, it encouraged Carol to continue further and she began licking the full length of it. Tina was visibly squirming on the bed and moan loudly. She enjoyed it a lot when Carol did that. She wanted Carol to suck, bite and lick every inch of her body. She wanted Carol to mark her as her own, which Carol surely would late in the night.

It was very dark outside but the carriage and take the right path. The boy running the carriage was nervous when Sister Rosemerta first asked him to take them to the witches cottage on the far sode of the woods. That place was not habited by anyone except for the witch. The carriage shook because of the gravel laden path. Father Robert was extremely uncomfortable sitting inside the carriage biut Sister Rosemerta on the otherh and look comfortable as if the carriage was running on smooth peeched road.
It took almost fourty-five minutes for them to reach the entrance into the woods. The journey through the woods was horrid. The woods seemed to be thick yet they met no hazards during their journey through it at all. It took almost another fourty-five minutes to cover the woods. At the outer edge of the woods stood a small stone cottage beyond which was a huge lake. It was in this cottage that the witch lived.

Father Robert and Sister Rosemerta got off the carriage and headed towards the cottage. There was light glowing inside the cottage which was visible from the window. The horses seemed very restless at having to stop in this eerie destination.
Sister Rosemerta was the first one to reach the door. She knocked on the door twice. No answer. She held up her hand to knock again but as was abiut to do so the door slowly opened on it's own revealing a small aged woman seated by the fire place reading a book. Both Sister Rosemerta and Father Robert stood at the threshold of the cottage, "Well come in now that you have knocked." Said the old witch. Sister Rosemerta was hesitant at first but she knew that they had to do it. Sister Rosemerta entered into the stone cottage, the room was somehow brightly lit just by a single candle; it was warm and pleasant. The entire cottage smelled of herbs and wet soil. "So what is it that you two want?" Asked the witch.
"We need your help. What can you tell us about the child born to Peter and Josephine Hamlington eighteen years ago?" Sister asked but when the witch heard her, her face went taut with fear. She hoped all this time she would never have to heard that name ever again.
