🎼I didn't bother going to sick bay since my wound healed anyway which by the way is still freaking me out, so instead I went inside the school library and logged myself onto a computer. OK um... What was it Blaz mistook me for? A light angel... I typed that in making sure no one was watching me and it didn't really come up with a lot of information. Actually, a lot of these are completely way off. Different church groups, Jesus Christ and the bible and something about an angel named Gabriel. I clicked on images and well it's true when they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Some of these pictures are really cool. Not what I'm searching for but I think I've found new computer wallpaper.

"Hey, what are you doing?" A male voice asked. And Ronny came crashing down on the computer next to me. The profile of Ronny is brown hair, grey eyes, tan skin, really handsome and well built but not my type, a real athlete and loves impressing people especially me and when he's not staring at me he can lamely flirt. Well, that's what happened the last few times I have had to be alone with him. When I didn't answer he looked at my screen then gave me a smirk. "Searching up your own kind I see." I know he's joking around and trying to flirt but I can't help but feel something about that...

"Cheap shot," I responded then looked back at the screen and clicked on the x button.

"Merely stating facts." He whispered leaning right into me.

"Re-look those facts," I said back and leaned away from him. I pulled my hood up and Ronny snatched my hand away and forcefully pulled my hood down. "Hey!"

"Leave it down," he ordered, his expression looking intense. "You're always hiding yourself. Except for yesterday, you looked really sexy in that black dress, " he said staring at my legs. "You should wear stuff like that more often." His voice got rough. Fear spiked up my spine at the way his eyes wandered in an almost psychotic---possessive glare.

"Alright Ronny I'll keep that in mind but I have work to do now and... Shouldn't you be in class?" I questioned moving my chair back.

"I could ask you the same question."

"I... Have a free period." I stuttered and he smirked not believing. Damn.

"Sure." He said snapping out of the weird possessive gaze he was putting on me.

"Ok, what about you? Where are you meant to be?"

"My whole class are here actually so I'm safe." He pointed to all the students on another set of computers researching. But I noticed some boys watching us, they kept nudging each other, whispering, smirking then when they noticed me looking their eyes widened. Again someone's captured by my beauty, they just admired me not realising it. I looked back at the screen of the computer trying to ignore them.

"Maybe you should go back to your class." I silently prayed. He didn't move and remained watching me. I was about to snap it at everyone until I noticed black in the corner of my eye. I gazed up expecting to see Blaz, surprisingly I was kind of hoping it would be him. Unfortunately, it's one of his female friends Erica. She's beautiful if I don't say so myself, however in a deadly way. Her face is heart-shaped, full lips covered in black lipstick that matches her raven hair, hair that falls dead straight on her shoulders, then there are her ice-cold grey eyes, in a way she reminds me of a snake, an untrustworthy creature. I wonder if she could be like Blaz. Now I'm really starting to doubt that he's an angel. I thought they were supposed to look out for humans and take care of innocent beings. Blaz is well... He's a dick. And I doubt his friends are any different. But still, if she knows something that may help me out. I watched her start heading to the exit with a book in hand. She must have sensed someone watching her because she turned her head to look at me still walking. Our eyes literally locked, her ice ones against my black ones. Staring calmly but intensely. Finally, she broke off the stare-down by looking away and walking out. I decided to follow her. I brought my hood up and quickly logged off.

"Where are you going?" Ronny asked grabbing my arm and looking up at me almost desperately. I tore it out of his tight grasp and rushed off trying to stay unnoticed by everybody else. I walked out of the library into the hallway, the smell of cleaning supplies stinking up the air. And looked around for Erica spotting her on my right walking down the hallway whistling a random tune. Ok, what do I say? I can't just come out with a whole bizarre theory of angels. She may not even be one and this could all turn out horribly. But then again if Blaz is possibly one she would know about that and I have a right to know about this.

I met one face-to-face when I was five, and yesterday when I caught my dad cheating, I got involved in some alleyway thing and the men had white wings tattooed on their arms... And Blaz may have been there, I had feathers growing out of my back and an angel was spying on me last night...

 After Mr. Cat attacked Blaz.

I'm part of this now for some twisted reason I can see all this. Erica might not know anything about this but she might lead me to Blaz. As much as I hate his guts the information he could give me is useful.

"Meow." Mr Cat came out of nowhere and sat in front of my feet staring up at me.

"What are you doing here?" I said out loud and Erica turned her head around and glimpsed at us for a second then rounded the corner. "Wait, Erica!" I called out taking one step then Mr Cat came in my way. "What are you doing?" I whispered at him then tried to step around him but again he moved in front of me. "Move," I ordered him but he stood there and shook his head. Just that second I heard a squeal from around the corner. I stepped over Mr Cat and stormed around the corner. What I saw wasn't something I expected. Erica is pinned to the lockers by some blond-haired boy wearing a jean jacket and has a lip piercing. It took him a minute to realise I was standing a metre away from him and he only noticed because Erica was staring at me wide-eyed. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?" I yelled out. He glared at me with familiar grey eyes then turned back to Erica who had a fierce expression on her face.

"Who is this then another demon spawn of yours?" He questioned her acting as if I wasn't standing right next to him.

"No, I happen to just be a concerned student," I growled. I pulled my hood down expecting him to be awed and get distracted. However, when he looked at me again he didn't seem fazed. "Step away," I ordered in a calm tone. His eyes narrowed and he pushed harder at Erica's throat making her squirm and grow pale. I'm shocked that he's not responding so I tried to be a little more nicer. "Please you're hurting her," I said pleadingly and bit my lip nervously. Something must have clicked in his head because his gaze softened on me as well as his grip on Erica's throat. His eyes then casually trailed down my body and quickly came back up to my face. His brow furrowed as he examined my face like he was debating on what he thought of me.

"Who are you?" He questioned so I looked at Erica who lightly shook her head. I got the message.

"More importantly who are you?" I crossed my arms over my chest and stood tall. "I doubt you go here since I haven't seen you."

"Maybe you have a low attention span." Oh great a blond Blaz, I snickered at this.

"I think I would remember a gorgeous face like yours so explain to me who you are, and give me one good reason why I shouldn't report you," I said sternly and he smirked leaning off Erica completely forgetting about her and took a step towards me.

"You see this gorgeous, handsome, desirable face doesn't think you should be messing with it." He said seductively taking another step forward. "And don't you dare think of moving?" He said to Erica without looking at her. Okay, so he hasn't completely forgotten about her.

"I only said gorgeous, no need to get carried away," I said then glanced at Erica who was slowly backing away. I quickly looked back at this boy who somehow came really close to me without me noticing. He looked down at me smirking. "You still haven't answered my question," I said shuffling, uncomfortable with him standing in my breathing space.

"What was your question?" He asked. Come on Erica move faster! She's managed to get to the end of the hallway. I nodded to her and she ran disappearing from sight.

"Doesn't matter there's no need for me to know anymore," I said walking around him. I noticed Erica's book on the ground so I picked it up and held it under my arm.

"Shit!" The boy yelled. I smiled and turned to face him. He glared at me his mouth hanging open. "You... You..." He pointed at me again coming towards me looking a little ticked off.

"It's not polite to point," I whispered sweetly and smiled genuinely. He scoffed and shook his head and massaged his temples.

"Do you realise what you have done?" He asked me.

"No. Now I suggest you leave since you're on school property, and also I don't know what your problem is with that girl but keep away." I said calmly not really worried. I don't know why but I don't see this guy as a threat.

"Are you ordering me?" He growled standing close to me again. I took this chance to take a good look at him. High cheekbones, tan skin, gold hair, grey eyes. I have seen him before, I think.

"No, I'm just warning you for your sake..." I stopped there and held her book on my chest. Do I really want to explain to him about the kind of people she hangs out with? A.K.A Blaz.

"Is that her book? I'll return it to her." He tried grabbing the book but I stepped back and narrowed my eyes.

"I think you've done enough," I told him and he looked at me in wonder, cocking his head to the side and examining me,

"How are you not afraid of me?" He finally said.

"Should I be?" He's not threatening me however he hurt Erica. He's definitely not to be trusted but I'm not scared of him. That's what's wrong with me, I'm always brave when I shouldn't be. He stood over me and watched me curiously, I could feel his warmth radiating from his body hitting me right through my jumper. A shiver went up my spine as we watched each other.

"My name is Ranger and you should not report me even though I have no good enough reason for you not to." He surprised me and smiled giving me his hand.

"I won't report you as long as I don't catch you hurting innocent civilians," I started shaking his hand.

"She's not exactly innocent." I heard him mumble so I rolled my eyes and tore my hand away from his warm touch.

"Get out of here before I scream." I teased then started walking away using my free hand to pull my hood up.

"What's your name?" He yelled out so I turned my head to look at him.

"Angelica," I yelled back and he smiled mouth closed and his eyes seemed to sparkle.

"Of course it is." I don't why but I had to look away to hide my blushing face. No, this is not right I'm not seriously getting embarrassed over this guy, right? No way! I got lost in the moment that's all. I turned the corner and I saw Mr Cat.

"Meow!" He leapt into me so I had to catch him and hold him in my arms his front paws resting on my shoulders and his head leaning into me sniffing me.

"Relax I'm still breathing, my heart is still beating no need to worry," I assured him then the bell rang. Everyone came rushing out of the classrooms and Mr Cat pounced onto the floor and ran through people's feet without anyone noticing. I'm in love with this cat.

"So after what he did to Erica he all of a sudden acted sweet and shared his name." Lara relayed. I told her everything that happened from science to Ranger cutting out the part about angels. "And you willingly gave this psycho your name." She stated sarcastically and I rolled my eyes.

"He's no threat to me. Erica is friends with Blaz, Blaz and his groupie cause lots of mischief, maybe this Ranger guy was a victim of one of their escapades." It is a good enough reason although he should not have taken it out on a girl.

"Escapades? Nice word." Lara said taking a gulp out of her water bottle. We sat down at a bench outside near a table full of Goths, then the one next to us was full of sugar high year 7's that are really loud and then there was another table where Blaz and his mafia gang sat acting like they owned the place. Blaz was on the table while his mates sat around him. So as usual everyone kept their distance, while I wondered where Erica was. "I find it weird that you saved one of Blaz's friends after the act he pulled on you earlier this morning." I believe in forgiving and forgetting for the simple-minded. But I kept that thought to myself since that simple mind was staring right at me. I'm pretending not to notice but it's really bugging me. Love how I referred to him as 'it'? "Why is Ronny staring at you like that?" Oh no.

"How does he know it's me? I can't be the only girl wearing a black hood." I frowned still looking at Lara so I didn't accidentally somehow encourage him to come over.

"And yet you are."

"Just don't look at him and maybe he'll go away," I told her and she laughed out loud earning curious glances from people walking past. Even some from the Goths, I noticed one of the goth boys admiring Lara, actually that's an understatement he's literally checking her out. So she put the rude finger up at him and he quickly looked away. "What was that about?" I questioned and she rolled her eyes.

"Nothing he's just a nuisance, you won't believe how many times I've caught him watching me. He's creepy." Speaking of creepy I saw Erica walking past our table towards Blaz and his minions. She glanced at me for a split second then pushed some of her friends out of her way so she could lean on the table nearing towards Blaz. Her mouth reached his ear and she whispered something to him which from his expression must have really surprised him. His eyes directed right at me and so did Erica's. She must have told him what I did. I looked away from their stares and realised Ronny was coming towards us.

"I think it's time to go," I told Lara and when she noticed him she grabbed my hand and speed walked away into the school building and rushed for the girls' toilets.

"Oh look girls it's Grandma Mildred." I heard a familiar, annoying, high-pitched, irritating, evil, cruel, torturous voice say.

"I cannot catch a break!" I yelled at the ceiling and Lara and I rushed out again crashing into Ronny who fell backwards onto Erica. She stepped out of his way and let him collapse on the floor then came up to me with a blank expression.

"Can I have my journal back please?" She referring to the black book she dropped. I never really looked at it and I know I might miss out on some big info.

"Yeah here." I passed her the book reluctantly and she snatched it out of my hands and prepared to speed off. But she unexpectedly turned around and looked at me intensely. "Thank you Angelica I owe you my life." This shocked me and I stared at her wide-eyed.

"Oh no, Erica relax I..."

"No to whatever you want. Whatever you need you have no idea what you have just done. Whenever you're in trouble Angelica tell me do you understand?" She said seriously passing me a folded note. "Just don't tell anyone about it." She said looking between me and Lara.

"Don't worry we won't," Lara said for me as I slipped the note in my pocket.

"Don't tell what now?" Ronny asked finally up off the floor staring straight at me. I was going to tell him not to worry about it but Erica turned on him grabbed the collar of his shirt and looked deeply into his eyes.

"You heard nothing of this conversation." She whispered then threw him aside, out of her way so she could walk outside again. Ronny looked at me mystified, shoulders hunched over and legs looking a little wobbly until he collapsed on the ground again. Both Lara and I caught him in time and held him up to his feet. What did she do to him? Then I realised that yes she's an angel too! And she owes me...

"Come on big guy up on your feet." He's still shaken up by whatever she did. I grabbed his shoulders and stared at his dazed face.

"Do you remember anything that just happened?" I asked him and he stayed silent thinking.

"I just came here to talk to you and when Erica got to you first..." He started then his brow furrowed. "Can you take me to sick bay please?" He begged. He really doesn't remember. Interesting.

We took him to sick bay and left him there. Lara and I walked back in silence which is good for me because I really wanted to think about all this. If Blaz won't give me the information I want then Erica has to. I need to get her alone one day to sort this whole thing out.

"Angie, what happened back there?" Lara asked disrupting my thoughts. "Why did Erica act all serious about owing you?"

"I don't know." I lied. "I must have saved her from really deep shit for her to act that way." Lara didn't look convinced and she opened her mouth to argue then she shook her head. Obviously thinking better of questioning. Now I feel bad, we're friends now I should be telling her this stuff. Just like I should be telling Henry but he doesn't really listen to me when it comes to this kind of stuff.

"So are you going to visit Henry after school?" She asked. Oh, poor Henry.

"If I can get a ride, he's technically my only source of transportation." Great I'm going to have to call my mum. What a dreading thought.

"Do you really think Blaz had nothing to do with Henry breaking his arm?"

"He's not that sick and twisted." However now that I think about it, Henry isn't stupid enough to just walk off a stage.

"Have you ever heard of half the stuff he does?" Oh, have I? Why yes I have. Fights, vandalism, pranks, robberies but that one is just a rumour, and then there was this story about him doing drugs. However, I don't believe that last one for a second.

The bell finally rang for the second period which was music thankfully, apart from the fact Blaz is in my class I can avoid him. I said goodbye to Lara and just rushed to class walking in earlier than everyone else so I walked in. Unfortunately, Blaz is already here lounging back on one of the old couches. Somehow he must have sensed a presence in the room because he turned his head and looked in my direction.

"Hey princess I'd like to talk to you." I huffed at the nickname then walked over to him, standing in front of him while he sat back. "Sit." I didn't move and he sighed. "Sit down." He said his voice deepening and again I didn't move and crossed my arms over my chest. He huffed and looked at me in an annoyed expression. "Please sit down." I smiled and sat down next to him and giggled when he wiped his hand down his face extremely ticked off. All he has to do is say the magic word. When he gazed at me in the eye I let my smile slip away so we could really talk about all this.

"Blaz I want you to tell me everything," I said.

"First things first, I want to thank you." He said quickly turning serious.

"For what?"

"Saving Erica today and for... Well, you know..." I stared at him confused.

"Know what?" I asked pretending to act dumb.

"Yesterday.... in the alleyway." He looked away rolling his lips in.

"I knew it was you," I whispered. "Why were they after you?"

"Forget it, it's none of your business." I was about to argue but he opened his mouth again. "How did you stop Ranger from killing Erica?" Killing? He was actually going to kill her!

"Killing? Shit! I didn't think he was... Is he an angel too?" I asked excitedly. Blaz literally growled at me.

"Just answer the question."

"Relax I just told him to let her go, distracted him for a second and she ran off. He was really mad when he found her missing." Well not really...

"That's it, he didn't hurt you, he just let her go and you're still living."

"He did put up a bit of a fight but I threatened to report him. Then he started to suck up to me." Blaz actually snickered and smirked.

"Suck up that's about right." He covered his mouth and I noticed a black skeleton ring on his index finger. I swear it's smiling at me.

"I told you about Ranger, now tell me about everything?"

"It's none of your concern."

"None of my concern...." Unbelievable! I was about to crack it at him but Mrs Johnson walked in, as did everybody else. Brilliant timing. I sighed and got ready to move off but he grabbed my arm and pulled me into him, my body slamming to his side.

"Stay here." He ordered then smirked when he noticed my hand on his chest. So I punched it and tried to move away from him.

"No, if you're not going to tell me anything there's no way I'm going to put up with you and stop trying to order me around," I whispered hastily and he dared wrap his arm around my waist pulling me even more uncomfortably close to his warm body. "What are you doing? Let me go!" He's not listening to me instead he's staring at the window with a smirk on his face. So I looked out the window. "Is that Ranger?" Blaz whipped his head at me so fast I thought it would snap off.

"You can see him?"

"Well yeah, he's right there." I hand gestured to the Ranger who was standing outside the window and looked at me shocked. I swear he mouthed 'You can see me?' "Yes, I can see you," I whispered using this chance to slip out of Blaz's grasp. He went to grab me again but I slapped his hand away then looked back to see a smirking Ranger who ducked away out of sight. What was that about? "What was he doing?" I asked Blaz.

"If you two are done talking Miss Shanley and Mr Furia maybe I can get on with the lesson." Mrs Johnson remarked the whole class staring at us.

"Yes, Mrs Johnson." We said at the same time then glanced at each other him smirking me eye-rolling but smiling as well. The teacher went on about this term assignment we have to do a musical piece in front of the class whether it's singing or an instrument and it can either be a song you wrote or a song written by someone else. I was excited about this assignment until...

"Alright everyone choose who you're working with the groups can be out of four, I also accept partners."

"Shit," I murmured massaging my temples. I don't have anyone I can work within this class. I sat back and watched as everyone grouped together excited and already bringing up their bright ideas.

"Looks like it's just us," Blaz whispered in my ear. I yelped and leaped back surprised at how close he'd gotten. He grinned at my reaction and then scooted closer to me.

"Ok, angel boy stay over there," I warned and he rolled his eyes scrunching up his face.

"Enough with the angel stuff you know nothing about it or me." He growled and that's where he's wrong.

"Yeah, thanks to you. What if I said there was an angel watching me last night then would you tell me about them?" I asked kind of begging however I noticed the hint of pink in Blaz's cheeks. "Are you blushing?"

"No it's hot in here anyway princess I think I've taken this angel charade too far."

"What?"

"I've been messing with you, princess... Angels don't exist. This is all a practical joke." I can't believe he's seriously expecting me to believe that this is all a practical joke. He's just trying to wiggle his way out of telling the truth, that seems to be the only thing he cannot do. Blaz being truthful is like pigs flying, it's just not possible.

"You want me to believe that?" I asked and he stared at me confused while I showed him my right hand. "Look at my hand what do you see?" I let him take it in his warm grasp and he examined it. I felt him tense up and his hand tightened over mine, my skin started to tingle under his touch as he swept his rough fingers over my hand.

"I see nothing. Your hand is fine." He said his voice strained. "But you burnt it this morning."

"Exactly my point," I whispered and stared at our hands, how different they were compared to each other. His hand is olive-skinned, rough and slightly larger than my dainty, pale manicured ones. When I looked back up at his face he at that point still glared at my hand.

"As much as I'm enjoying holding your soft puny hand." He finally stated out of the blue. So from the unnecessary comment, I slipped my hand away down onto my lap. "I have to go." He said standing up.

"You've got to be joking," I said standing up and placing my hands on my hips.

"There there little rich girl, I won't be gone for long so there's no need for you to worry. You just can't wait for us to work together can you?"

"Get over yourself now where are you going? And how?" I gestured to Mrs Johnson who was typing away on her laptop.

"Why do you underestimate me? I'm just going to walk out that door and I guarantee you she won't notice I'm gone." He said slyly.

"You can't just skip class because you have somewhere else you'd rather be."

"You did." He smirked and I rolled my eyes and bit my lip.

"True but I left before class even started, you're leaving in the middle of class!" I whispered to him.

"Good to know you care so much." He said his voice sounding low and weird. Is he trying to sound seductive?

"I have to you're stupid and narcissistic," I remarked and he raised one of his eyebrows at me then backed away around the couch heading for the door. No one seemed to notice him leaving it's as if he wasn't there at all. How does he do that? Before he left he stood in the doorway and looked back at me. He blew me a kiss I was surprised by this gesture so I just acted on instinct and pretended to hit it away making a disgusted face, he laughed and then slipped away. Why the hell would he send me a kiss? Is it just another strange way to mock me? Who cares... He's abandoned me, again leaving me clueless and avoiding answering my questions. He thinks I'm going to be a good girl and just stand around while he sneaks off waiting for an answer! He probably thinks he has me all figured out well he has another thing coming. I stepped around the couch and calmly walked over to the door trying to be inconspicuous and it was working until Marcy noticed me.

"Where are you going?" She asked.

"Bathroom." I lied then just rushed out the door to the bright empty hallway. "Alright, Blaz where did you go?"
