Chapter 25

Kaida returned back to the living room with huge bottles of gasoline. She smiled wickedly as the men all instantly tried to free themselves. “You are all going to burn in agony” She opened the bottles and drenched all of them in gasoline as Ace’s men stepped back cautiously keeping their guns trained on her victims from afar.

Once she emptied the bottles, she stepped back and watched as they coughed. “You crazy bitch!”Nicholas said, struggling against the cuffs around his wrists. With their knees shot, none of them could escape anymore.

Kaida looked at him with only cold indifference. “Anything to say before I burn each of you alive?”She asked.

“Anata mo watashi tachi to issho ni jigoku de kuchihaterudeshou"Nicholas spat in Japanese.

Kaida grinned in return, her eyes shining with wickedness. And she pulled out her Vintage Rowenta Pocket Lighter flipping it open, watching the small flame with a dangerous glint in her eyes.

“Jigoku de aimashou” Kaida replied as she threw the lighter on them, watching as they quickly erupted in flames screaming in agony while the flames spread all around them like wild avenging flames devouring their flesh and bones.

Kaida watched them feeling immense satisfaction at finally seeing the ones responsible for her nightmares burning alive. Finally her family was avenged.

“I'll burn the property down, leave from there” Kaida whispered to Ace and his men who nodded before walking out.

Once she was alone in the house, she grabbed more bottles of gasoline and drenched everywhere starting from the ground floor to the top, every room, every place she had built memories with Ricardo. She drenched everything, her heart was bleeding profusely with the sadness and betrayal. With the knowledge that she had been with her true enemy all these years.

Some things… they just aren't fair, are they? You don't choose your family, your parents, where you come from... But it still hurts just as much, sometimes even more. And right now, her heart was truly broken. Broken even more than ever. Avenging her family might have soothed her demons but the emptiness in her soul seemed to have intensified tenfolds.

Once she was done drenching the entire house and property with gasoline. She walked out and stood right outside the entrance of the gate looking up at the mansion that had once been a home. A refuge. Closing her eyes, she grabbed another lighter and flipped it open before throwing it on the grass in the property.

She opened her eyes and watched as the fire quickly spread all around ravaging the property's trees, grasses and walls. The entire mansion lighting up in a burst of bright flames. And with it, a piece of her soul burned along with them.

Her life had once again changed so much in the blink of an eye and there was nothing she could do about it. She had never felt so hollow and devastated. That was it, she was well and truly alone now. No family, no loved ones, no companions. Nothing.

As if on cue, Ace appeared next to her. “Let's go now, Leonessa”

“Where? You really want to bring me with you after knowing everything?”Kaida asked, looking up at him.

Ace sighed heavily, his eyes flickering with emotions. “You need rest and time to process everything. We will discuss everything later”

“You are not seriously going to bring her back with you, Ace! She admitted that she was going to end you"Valentino’s cold voice was heard. Kaida didn't even try to deny it and remained quiet instead.

“I heard perfectly well what she said and now is not the time for this discussion. Dad let me handle it” Ace said firmly, earning a sigh from Valentino.

“Very well,” Valentino replied as he left with Ares and Alex. The other men followed close behind in their cars.

“Let's go, Leonessa” Ace said, holding her hand and dragging her to his car while she continued to watch the property burn, the huge black smoke rising up in the sky.

The whole trip back to the penthouse, Kaida didn't utter a single word. She couldn't, her brain wasn't functioning. All she could do was lean against Ace as he finally carried her up and inside the penthouse holding her tenderly like she was made of glass.

Life could really be cruel when it wanted to. After everything she had been through, was it really this hard to have some peace?

Anata mo watashi tachi to issho ni jigoku de kuchihaterudeshou - You too will rot in hell along with me.

Jigoku de aimashou - See you in hell
