Jungkook exhaled softly, his eyelids slowly parting.
He stared at the mirror above him, his reflection piercing- like it always would.
He blinked, raising his hand overhead, ofcourse it was detailed the way its supposed to be.
But Jungkook knew it better, from the very moment, that the sight, was all but a dream- an enchantment.
Jungkook couldn't recall anything specific he'd come across to trigger an enchantment upon himself.
(A/N: enchantments are dream-like landscapes that depict a fragment of their desires. Its casted by an object or a being or purely based on intuition of a foreboding.)
Yes- there indeed was a person who he suspected in the back of his head that was no where a mortal with whom, he'd crossed paths several times... but Jungkook decided to ditch the idea.
There was no reason to fret over it.
Its not like that person could willingly step in front of him eitherway- unless, ofcourse, death is what he wanted.
Besides.... he's being taken care of already- so Jungkook didn't want to dirty his sleeves.
Maybe it was his carefree personality was what gave an impression he was an absolute fool.
But that can't be all for the King of Hell, now could it?
Jungkook was more than what he showed and despite the insinuations he had no intention of changing anything about himself-
After all... there was no man a greater fool, than calling the Devil himself, a fool.
Jungkook groaned a little, not liking the way the enchantment had turned his auspicious dark ceiling into a sparkling metallic warm gold.
It wasn't like Jungkook was an emo or anything-
It just pissed him off that the reflection off of his mirror wasn't the only thing stabbing him in the eyes as of for the moment.
If the enchantment really had to put him in his own bedroom that had a make-over with nothing else enchanting about it- Jungkook swore to curse the next five generations of the enchantment.
What even is the point of being stuck in a bedroom with nobody else in it?!?!?
A get away to Las Vegas sounded more like an enchantment that Jungkook would have thoroughly enjoyed.
Jungkook let out an irritated sigh, ready to snap himself out of the enchantment- a technique, that he alone knew how to exercise... but his actions paused just as his eyes skimmed to the figure that stepped into the room.
A shimmering stygian band with gold engravings stood out on the figure's forehead- a metal, no different than the Devil's own blade, Caelesti.
The translucent white cloth draped down the slender torso, tan limbs and chest teasing through but not enough to savor it.
Although, it wasn't the long-abandoned crown of a pair down in his realm and nor was it the mourning robes, that stunned Jungkook to his bones, rather it was the person that had appeared in his enchantment.
Jungkook sat up right, attentive- vigilant even, with his back pressed against the bed-rest.
"Jungkook..." he called out, the name rolling off of his tongue softly.
The raventte, on the other hand, sucked in a breath.
Its was just an enchantment.
Nothing of it was real.
Not the hideous ceiling.
Not the crown forged for a Queen.
And definitely not the Detective Kim that stood before him.
Even if it was an enchantment, Jungkook felt jittery.
The man, creeped closer, his hand lowered down to the mattress as his slender fingers grazed against Jungkook's own legs and torso, hidden under the sheets.
The Detective settled down on the bed, his eyes just as warm as they indeed were, with his hand pressed firmly against Jungkook's bare chest.
"Jungkook... why are you looking at me like that?" He asked, his tone soft.
"I must be losing it..." Jungkook mumbled, dazed out of his wits.
The Detective chuckled at that, head tilted and his shoulder raised.
His smile, as pure as the gentle sun's morning glow.
"I must be losing it too..." he replied, with the same gentle tone as his hand shifted up to cup Jungkook's face.
And then he leaned in, pressing a gentle peck to the lips and then swiping his tongue over the soft flesh.
Jungkook hummed softly, parting his lips and kissing the male deeply.
It was all, but a harmless enchantment, wasn't it?
Besides- Jungkook had nothing to lose, definitely nothing as of for the moment, and so on he grabbed the Detective by his neck and pulled him closer, until the other plopped on his thighs.
The Detective's arms ran all over the span of Jungkook's bare chest before clamping down on his shoulders, positioning himself.
Jungkook wasn't left far off, his own hands sliding down the male's slender smooth back, the white fabric, being a complete tease.
Their tongues danced with synchronization as if they'd been doing this every other day.
Their bodies warmed up, blood rushing to all the right places as they pressed closer, as intimate as possible.
With a tug of the tongue, Jungkook let go off his menacingly sweet torture and the other heaved a huge breath, dizzy from the impact.
"Say... Detective Kim... why is it that you're in my enchantment?" Jungkook initiated the conversation, watching the other simply take his hand and lick a stripe against the flat surface of his palm, pressing a sensual kiss on his slender fingers all the while he sexily stared down at the raventte.
Holy Devil Cookies-
This sight sure was to remove few decades off of his immortal life, if the real Detective Kim were to be aware of his extremely parental-advisory enchantment.
"Why are you wearing the sacred crown, Detective Kim from my enchantment? Is it perhaps that you want to be my Queen?" Jungkook continued, hoping the enchantment would answer, but instead the Detective simply swirled his tongue around two of the Devil's fingers and shoved them down into his mouth.
Jungkook raked his free hand through his raven locks and chuckled incredulously.
"Seriously- is this your way of not wanting to answer?" Jungkook asked, but the other didn't budge, but began rocking his hips against Jungkook's own.
"I didn't touch an enchanted object, nor do self induced foreboding dream-scapes ever appear before my eyes..." Jungkook continued, gripping onto the Detective's waist, to hold him back from moving anymore.
"So that leaves alone the last option..." Jungkook hummed, moving forward so that the male was no longer on his thighs, rather seated on the mattress with his arms supported behind him.
Pushing his strength into his fingers, Jungkook held the enchantment's jaws apart, his mouth opened wide, teeth and tongue all on display in an uncomfortable way.
The Detective Kim, from his enchantment winced, and trashed, trying to pry away while Jungkook's grip from his other arm tightened on the male's waist holding him down.
"it was fun to imagine, to have a sober Detective Kim moving so gracefully in my embrace..." he paused, the scarlet in his eyes igniting as the ceiling cracked and the ground shattered, the enchantment falling apart as the room darkened and blue flames erupted from the cracks with a heavy dense murderous aura dropping in the space in a ton.
"But don't sully him like that now..." Jungkook smiled, the whites of his eyes replaced with onyx as red orbs floated in them.
"Step out of his skin on your own unless you want me ripping your throat out...hm?" The Devil continued smiling, as he let go of the almost-dislocated jaw of the figure.
The figure coughed, intensely staring up at the Devil.
"So are the rumors...." the figure whispered.
"Ah.. I have to warn you. I'm not in a great mood right now... so you better save your words for something useful and spit yourself out you scum" Jungkook calmly looked down at the enchantment.
The figure who was trapped in the Detective's skin smiled boldly up at the Devil.
"Same as Always... I'm a little hurt now that you don't remember me." The figure tilted his head, the tan skin from his face, slowly peeling off.
Jungkook grinned menacingly "considering the amount of beings that have had their desires quenched by me, I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't remember a measly one out of the lot"
The smile faltered from the figure's face for a split second, but then the figure from his enchantment still forced it up.
"Measly..." the figure chuckled darkly, as the tan skin began melting off to reveal hideous red patches.
"Measly is what stands for your dog." He grit his teeth, looking up.
Jungkook grinned "oho? Is it Jimin that you have your lines crossed against? Do you want me to tell you where he is? Maybe you can pay him a visit and have fun with him-" he paused, smiling wickedly.
"or maybe... end up with him having fun with you instead.. hm?" Jungkook tilt his head.
"Why don't you be a little more specific... Demon?" Jungkook spit venomously, gently pushing his palm flat against the figure's waist and a loud crackling sound erupted. The Demon under his palm let out a blood-curling shriek as Jungkook laughed out loud, almost mad with the forgotten taste of violence and torture.
"You sure do dare cast an enchantment on your own King and expect him to not take notice? Dream-scapes are harmless.... but did you forget mental torture and dream-scape devouring is my specialty, hm?" Jungkook dug his palm, scrunching at the mass of bones, muscles and whatever was left of the Demon's pelvis.
"...you think less of me you filthy scum and you dare pretend that you're devoted to me?" Jungkook scoffed, chuckling darkly as the Demon squirmed under his palm with excruciating pain.
The Demon managed to send a harsh glare, as if he were offended "You know I'd never... it is you, I serve. It is you, I am loyal to."
Jungkook hummed, shrugging lightly "oh? Doesn't sound very convincing..."
"There is no one who is more loyal tha-ARGH!" He yelled with pain before he could even finish.
"Don't say it out loud like that.... I'm sure you don't want to be hunted down to hell." Jungkook grinned, leaning close "he doesn't take this very lightly... you see. Jimin takes pride in that."
The Demon belted out another shriek and Jungkook clicked his tongue, annoyed that even if it was a dream he was doing something filthy as dirtying his hands with Demon blood.
"He's just an obstruction to your path to greatness! All of them are!! " The Demon yelled.
Jungkook let out a sigh and pulled his hands out of the Demon's guts- or, well- whatever was left of it, now completely bored.
"How can Jimin be an obstruction to my path to greatness? I am the path. I am greatness." Jungkook cockily replied, with all of his honesty as he proceeded to wipe his hand off on the cleaner part of the white robe the Demon had worn.
"There is nothing that can be greater than me." Jungkook smiled.
"I'm bored now.... none of this is fun. Just return before I change my mind..." Jungkook mumbled, hopping out of the bed, the entire set of events leaving a nasty taste in his mouth.
Just when he thought he could have some sexy time with the Detective, it turned out be one of his underlings in the Detective's image.
It was depressing honestly...
Traumatizing even.
"One day... you'll recognize me, My Lord."
Jungkook paused, hearing the salutation slip out from the Demon's mouth.
But before he could look back, the dreamscape expanded and the enchantment broke.
Jungkook sat upright on his bed, wide awake as darkness of his room greeted his vision.
He groaned, raking his fingers through his hair from frustration as he slipped out of his bed.
It was a little over 3am and Jungkook contemplated whether to straight out fly over or simply send a call over.
Finalizing on the second, Jungkook dialed onto Jimin's number and pressed his phone to his ear.
It rang for few times, but then the Demon picked up, his tone groggy and tired.
"How's my princess doing?" Jungkook teased, already imagining the scowl on the pink haired Demon's face.
"The fuck you want?!" The Demon barked with annoyance.
Jungkook chuckled, walking down to his office.
"I'm in a little bit of a pickle now..." Jungkook began, and then looked up, his eyes falling on the crystal vault.
"If its one of your hoes at your elevator then ask the manager to throw them off the roof. I ain't coming over for any of that shit anymore!" The Demon snapped almost immediately.
"Hahah no... but can you go check over Detective Kim for a bit?" Jungkook asked, pouring himself a drink.
Silence followed from the other side and Jungkook looked at his screen, wondering if he accidentally hung up- but the call was still connected through.
"What for?" Jimin asked, his tone a little more calm now.
Jungkook shrugged nonchalantly even if there was no one to see as he opened the vault and pulled out a very familiar vial.
"Long story....but can you go check on hi-"
"He's sleeping. He's here" Jimin replied before Jungkook could even finish. "Now tell me, what is going on"
Jungkook let out a sigh and sat on his chair, taking a sip from his glass as he gazed at the vial.
The wooden toothpick rattled within it. The bloodied tip, no longer red- rather a murky brown color.
"I got caught in an enchantment..." Jungkook groaned.
"And?" Jimin asked, cautious.
"It was set up by HyunHo"
Silence followed again before the Demon finally responded "I'm coming over"
"No! I'm fine Jimin. You should stay with the Detective" Jungkook stressed over.
"What- really Jungkook. What the hell's going on?!" Jimin seemed annoyed over the line and Jungkook simply sighed, tired from the mess.
Jungkook necessarily didn't have to open up about the enchantment, but then given how the pink-haired demon is and his temper streak with excessive nagging behavior, Jungkook wanted none of that.
"Hyunho appeared as Detective Kim in the Dream-scape... oddly enough seems like heavenly rumors have reached to its ends in hell." Jungkook clicked his tongue, rattling the vial in his hand and then gazing at it. "Delightful. Yes... I know." He groaned.
Jungkook heard the Demon snarl over the line and the Devil let out a chuckle.
"HyunHo obviously used the images from my mind to create the image, its not like he has met the Detective, nor does he know anything about him. Besides none of them can crawl out of hell without my knowledge so its rest assured. But just to be on gaurd, you should stay with the Detective for now... atleast until I figure out how did HyunHo slip into my mind." Jungkook let out a sigh, twirling on his chair.
"Yeah no shit, I'm the universal gaurd for all beings afterall, aren't I?" Jimin snapped, scoffing as if he were irritated with the task (he was not)
"I thought you liked hanging out with Detective Kim... changed your mind so fast hm?" Jungkook teased, slipping his phone between his right cheek and shoulder, cradling it while he took hold of his glass and took a sip of the liquor.
"Shutup." Jimin barked over the phone and Jungkook laughed out loud.
He placed the vial on his table, the moonlight from the windows behind him casting its glow over it.
Jungkook looked at his glass, smiling, he asked "Jimin-ah.... is there something you're hiding from me?"
Jimin fell silent yet again.
Although the Demon was nowhere near him, Jungkook could imagine his face and he was sure, so could Jimin.
It was as if he were contemplating for a few seconds and then he somberly answered "There's nothing... and if there is, then it will be taken care of."
Jungkook smiled wider hearing the vague response.
Ofcourse Jimin was a sneaky liar... an amazing one at that too- well... Jungkook was his mentor with get-away lies afterall.
"Jimin.... you're loyal to me, yes?" Jungkook then finally asked monotonous with a pause, looking at a random wall in his office.
A clock ticking somewhere nearby.
"Yes... Jungkook. You are the only one I'm loyal to." The Demon replied, his tone unwavering like all the other times he had chanted the words.
Jungkook exhaled, acknowledging the honesty in the Demon's tone.
"That's all I have to know then.... whatever else you're upto, is none of my business..." Jungkook hummed, looking out of the window and then proceeded to hang up on the Demon.
He gave the vial on his desk, one last look before he stood up and sauntered down the hallway and into his bedroom, humming a tune.
*******
Jimin couldn't sleep after the turn of events that occurred in the dead of the night.
It wasn't like he didn't expect any of it to happen.
Oh no-
He did.
He absolutely predicted it.
Except for, now that he was facing it, Jimin felt fear course through few of his veins.
Although Jungkook had never caused a brutal or fatal injury for the Demon... nor has he stricken, stripped, beaten or whipped the male, Jimin still had a crippling fear for the older.
For someone who loved punishing... Jungkook rarely took any drastic measures with the pink haired demon. They surely tussled around a lot, breaking equal number of bones on names of 'friendly matches'- but that would be on equal 'understandable grounds' with Jungkook grinning, scowling, yelling Curses and whatnot. A definition of 'normal'.
The only frequent punishment the Devil would place on Jimin, was confinement in the Void... but other than that there had never been a moment, where Jungkook resorted to pure violence with the other.
The farthest measure Jungkook would ever take to inflict pain upon the Demon on occasions where he would be truly angered, was nothing more than drawing his blood out with a single claw retracted from his slender fingers, all the while he threatened all of Jimin's lineage with the soul-draining aura of his.
Jungkook would heal the wound soon after the single cut, but that was entirely a different topic-
To Jimin, there was nobody else whom he worshipped and cowered with fear at the same time.
To Jimin, Jungkook was his own God.
And the strengths of this God of his, wasn't the only thing that terrified him.
Jimin... you are loyal to me, yes?
That's all he ever asks.
That's the only thing he asks.
And that's when Jimin realizes he's walking on thin ice.
Jimin walked into the kitchen and shoved whatever food he could find from the fridge into his bag, making a mental note to repay Taehyung the next morning.
He threw the bag over his shoulder, and walked back into the living room. Sinking his teeth into his own wrist, he winced as a vile taste entered his mouth.
Drawing an ancient incantation on the ground, he slammed his hand against it as an aura of red exploded in a recurring wave, simmering into the walls.
"That should do it.." Jimin mumbled, looking back at the Detective's closed bedroom door.
Jungkook had demanded him to stay, but there were places Jimin had to go urgently. Casting a protective incantation was the best he could do at the moment.
Jumping out of the window, Jimin stealthily got onto his bike, with his helmet on and rode off, his mind full of thoughts as breeze whipped him at the sides.
Jungkook would never question his actions, decisions, reasons, nothing. He wouldn't demand an answer from him, if he isn't willing to answer.
All he would question is of his loyalty.
Something, Jimin was eternally bound to with the Devil.
Despite being raised in a manor of chaos and realm of darkness, Jungkook still allowed the other to take his own decisions, to have his own ambitions.
But Jimin didn't have an ambition. Nor did he have a dream for the future.
His only ambition, was his master. His only dream, was Jungkook. There wasn't anything else for him.
It was only because he is loyal, he exists.
And to have his own master, questioning his utmost loyalty, was nothing more than questioning his right to existence.
And the thought of crossing his lines, the thought of no more being deemed loyal, the thought of losing his ambition, his dream, Jungkook... terrified Jimin.
But now... there was another thing that struck the same nervousness into his veins.
Jimin got off the motorcycle and quickly slipped in through the stair-case route, not bothering to use the elevator- well... he definitely was a criminal of a sort afterall....
As light as a feather, he quickly skipped up the stairs, reaching the 8th floor in a spur.
Jimin reached out to the familiar door and scanned his key card, the door opening with a greeting sound.
However, the apartment was dark and musty in contrast to the cheery greeting of the system.
Slamming the door, he walked in, letting a sigh just as his eyes landed on the struggling figure sprawled on the ground.
"Oh... how long you've been lying here?" Jimin asked crouching but did nothing to provide help.
"Moving around as you please... breaking only one of your legs wasn't enough I guess"
The dark haired figure scowled at that and Jimin grinned maliciously in return.
"Ah... glaring at me won't do. Broken legs won't do either. You've got a job to do and I'm on a tight schedule right now" Jimin clicked his tongue, hooking his arms under the man's thighs and back for support, picking the frail male up effortlessly.
The other did nothing to protest, but let the Demon have his way with him.
Jimin slowly put the pale skinned man on the couch and sat on the coffee table behind him, pulling out a set of bandages from under the table.
"Yoongi...why were you moving around hm? Planning for an escape?" Jimin asked as he pulled apart the dirtied bandages off of the said man's palms.
"I... may be immortal but starvation is something I can indeed feel if you lock me up in an apartment for a week with nothing in it." Yoongi venomously bit back.
Jimin chuckled, not at all apologetic "haha that's too bad... unlucky you I guess?"
The demon proceeded to wrap the cleaner bandages around the See-er's mutilated slash slowly healing hands.
"Why don't you just kill me?!" Yoongi grit his teeth.
"Didn't I tell that I find you too cute to let you die so quickly?" Jimin clicked his tongue.
"You're horrible" Yoongi sighed, his eyes filled with disgust.
"I haven't done anything to the extent of calling me horrible yet..." Jimin paused and looked up to give an evil grin, leaning close to the See-er's face, who abruptly moved away.
Jimin shrugged and caught hold of his back, unzipping it and tossed a cold sandwich.
"Eat. You've got work to do" Jimin leaned back on the ground, his arms supporting his weight behind him as he looked up at the See-er on the couch.
"I've told you- I can't force my visions. There's no point in this. It can only happen once on the first touch and that's it." Yoongi retorted, gripping the cushion on his sides.
"Ah.. cripple, cripple.." Jimin mocked, clicking his tongue. "You've never done it before, have you? How can you be so sure that you can't?" Jimin rolled his eyes.
"I've done it!" Yoongi snapped but then simmered down, seeing a cocky eyebrow pop up on the Demon's face. With a calmer tone, he continued "it wasn't all that successful... but now that its Detective Kim, I'm sure I definitely can't do it! I can't break into... the King's rites- and if I indeed do succeed... the worst case is, I will end up dying!"
Jimin groaned, digging his eyes into the heels of his palms.
"Hya... Yoongi, aren't you being a little too hopeful here?" Jimin chuckled, crazed
"You're gonna die eitherway.." The pink haired demon lazily replied, unfazed. "Its either going to be a quick death at my master's hands... or its going to be a long torturous one at mine. Hm? What do you think is better? Why don't you pick your poison varying your choices?"
Yoongi grit his teeth, helpless.
"I'd rather die with physical pain rather than experiencing my brain melting out of my ears."
Jimin grinned with mischief and malicious intent in his eyes. He crawled closer to the See-er and propped his hands on the couch, so that he was kneeling before the raventte
"don't tempt me like that..." the Demon sultrily replied, his eyes soulless. "Trust me when I say this.... all I want to do is torture you with pain. That's all I'm craving for right now.."
Yoongi stared blankly, the tension in the air rising as the two gazed at each other. There was nothing vanilla about it. Oh no- it was just pure evil intentions.
Jimin smirked, his hands shifting onto the See-er's thighs. Gripping onto them, he slowly pulled them apart whilst Yoongi stared at him with the same coldness.
Pushing his weight onto his hands, the Demon rose up and then leaned in close to the raventte's face.
"Speaking of physical pain, I'm getting new ideas..." Jimin ran his tongue over between his teeth, quite sexily.
Yoongi, mildly startled on the inside pulled a straight face on the outside and then deadpanned "Don't."
"Mm can't help it. You are cute. What's your preference? Topping? Bottoming? I'm cool with both, just so that you know" Jimin continued, licking a stripe on the raventte's neck, right below his ear.
Yoongi froze, but made no attempt of pushing the male away. (Its not like he couldn't- but oh well, firstly the stigmata in his hands provided no help. Secondly, he feared his arm being torn off)
"You're pretty tame for your ancestral history" Jimin remarked, with a smirk on his lips.
"You're pretty wild for a dog on a leash" Yoongi replied without holding back and Jimin's eyes narrowed.
Yoongi thought he fucked up, but then the narrowed eyes, soon curved and a smirk crawled up on the Demon's face
"That's a nice one. I'll take that as a compliment" Jimin replied, lightly patting the See-er's cheeks and stepped away from the male who sighed with relief.
The pink haired demon stood up and stretched his limbs, sighing out loud.
"Gather your strength and heal up. I'm not carrying you in my arms to Taehyung" Jimin scoffed.
"What do you wanna do with me glimpsing at his future?" Yoongi asked in return, curious as to why the Demon was adamant on knowing the Detective's future.
Jimin hummed but then gave a blinding smile "its called, none of your business cutie."
Jimin's face morphed back into its natural scowling order "you better work your eyes on the task given, before Jungkook makes up his mind to show up at this door."
Yoongi pursed his lips, frustrated and angry.
"There are things you don't understand... with all the pests showing up now... do I want to erase him or do I want to hide him away?" Jimin chuckled, shaking his head in dismissal and turned to face the window. The moonlight gracefully running past his features.
Raking his fingers through his hair, he tilted his head back, his iris brimming scarlet as an evil soulless grin drew up on his lips.
Yoongi subconsciously inched away.
The Demon didn't look any different than the Devil himself.
As if, he was the Devil's own incarnation, he stared at the See-er with the same stance and murderous gaze as that of his Master.
"As you see.. I'm in a little bit of a pickle right now" Jimin chuckled darkly.
