Chapter 3: Delusional theatrical Playboy

Taehyung had a bad feeling about this- not the 'I might die' kinda bad feeling... but he could sense a potential truck of embarrassment and assholery heading his way.

He exhaled, shutting his eyes closed.

Think about LeeHi.

Right. LeeHi's whereabouts was the most important at the moment.

He glanced at the picture down on his lap.

Chae HyungWon...

He looked so young... innocent- but the male was anything but that.

The forensics team found traces of LeeHi from one of those Toyota Corollas that HyungWon had rented on Friday and it was more than enough of an evidence to arrest the male.

It was funny really- how it all seemed. The innocent faces and angelic gestures- none of these can ever claim to be who they truly are in reality.

If one thing, Taehyung knew about the world, working as a Police officer over the last 7 years was that- the world was indeed a shitty place.

There wasn't a 'you and me' and winter snow frolicking.

There was just either 'you and yourself' or 'me and myself'.

Nobody lived for somebody else but for themselves. They're birthed into this world alone and they sure as well, die alone, making no difference in the end.

Taehyung had seen more than enough trauma from those deceased victims and from those who are still alive- to lead to his conclusion that in the end, it's all about you and how you survive, not live- but survive in this world.

Not much of a great character development over the years, but it's easy enough to say.... Taehyung wasn't a happy camper.

He never was.

Taehyung pulled over his car in the lot.

His hand palmed at the cold surface of his gun, sitting snugly in his holster.

He exhaled, mentally praying he wouldn't have to use it- definitely not on a 20 year old kid.

Taehyung hopped out of his car and shut it close as he pulled his jacket closer to shield him from the cool air.

He gazed at the tall building, Allison Gardens.

Taehyung spotted the spotlights directed to the sky move around, like the ones in a concert and he could already guess, it should be one of those fancy rooftop frat boy parties.

Taehyung stepped into the building, demanding the receptionist to let him talk with the manager- which the lady did with a hurried pace.

"Ah hello, Mr. Jung. Detective Kim" Taehyung introduced himself and the older Male, who almost seemed to be in his 50s returned the gesture.

Letting in on, few details and leaving out the important bits that an outsider wouldn't have to know, Taehyung quickly explained his visit to the Manager of the Hotel.

Cooperating completely with the investigation, the security let Taehyung know, that HyungWon was currently assigned to the Congratulatory Party on rooftop and most likely would be there at the moment.

Wasting no seconds Taehyung got into the elevator along with the manager, who decided it'd be best that way.

Taehyung's primary goal was to retrieve HyungWon safely- but then again, the safety of the rest of the people at the party was his prime priority as well.

The Detective certainly couldn't hang onto the thread of believing his suspect wouldnt be carrying a weapon.

Taehyung knew that well.

His job came with the most finest unpredictability afterall.

And if- HyungWon, indeed had a weapon on him... it'd be a danger to all the people who were up there and there was no way in hell, Taehyung could afford a mistake on his part.

He had to silently approach HyungWon and take him from there.. any suspicion to the suspect and Taehyung could already imagine things going wrong.

Taehyung exhaled, his blood pumping as the doors dinged open, and pleasant music hit his ears.

To be honest, Taehyung was expecting some bangers to roll in- something out of a concert-shit experience or something that vaguely fit his idea of frat boy party.... but this party was more of a.... formal... fancy party.

It looked decent- with nicely dressed women, with their expensive jewellery and suited up men.

There was a live orchestra too and the guys were playing some sad- melodious tunes on their violins and cellos, definitely not something to vibe onto and definitely not fitting Taehyung's 'frat boy party' conclusion.

Truth be told, it was Taehyung who felt completely out of the place- with his black Jeans, white T-shirt and a black Jacket.

However, focussing back on his mission, Taehyung shifted his attention on finding HyungWon, as he and the manager parted ways.

Taehyung looked around, the venue having low setting of lights in background- helped Taehyung blend into the crowd but it didnt give him any advantage in finding HyungWon.

He should be here.

A server approached his directiom with champagne flutes and Taehyung smiled awkwardly, as he took one from the tray- not drinking it, but just to blend in and not raise any suspicion from anyone.

Taehyung exhaled and moved around again, his eyes fiercely searching to find the boy- but the fact half of these server boys looked almost the same was frustrating. The white uniform, the raven hair, the stance... each and every one of them looked the same.

Taehyung continued looking, but his eyes immediately widened when he spotted a familiar face with parted slick raven hair who was intently staring at him with a shameless smirk on his lips.

Uh uh.

Fuck no.

Literally mumbling a 'not today Satan', Taehyung turned on his heels and walked in the other direction, not wanting to have any sort of brain-cell-deteriorating conversation with the Armani crackhead he oh-so unfortunately sought out from the crowd.

Taehyung looked back, only to find the raventte disappeared from his spot.

But much to his horrors, when Taehyung almost tripped, from his drastic escapade- a firm hand gripped onto his wrist, preventing him from falling flat on the ground.

The champagne in his flute, swirled- spilling a bit to the floor.

"Oh hello there, nice to see you again Detective Kim" the voice spoke up, his tone as soft as Honey- but the tinge of cockiness wasnt all that subtle to not notice.

Taehyung stood up straight, gritting his teeth as he glared at the Armani Crackhead, who grinned in return- still having his fingers wrapped around the Detective's wrist, his thumb padding in circles against the smooth skin- making Taehyung slightly shiver.

"Can I have my hand back please?" Taehyung snapped, feeling irked by the other's presence.

"Sure." The Armani Crcakhead replied, as he released Taehyung's wrist with a smirk etched onto his lips.

"So... you did make up your mind to be my date afterall huh?" He grinned, swiping his tongue over his lip.

Taehyung rolled his eyes, as he placed his champagne flute on a tray that was carried by a server, who passed by them.

"I'm here on my job. Not as your date." Taehyung bluntly replied, as his eyes went back to searching the crowd "And again- I'm not interested in you. So please drop it."

"So.... you're not into guys huh?" The Armani Crackhead asked, taking a sip of his champagne.

Taehyung paused, feeling a vein pop up in his forehead.

"Can we not discuss about my sexuality here?" Taehyung grit through his teeth, hoping the man would leave him.

"I'm taking you to be a bi" the man shrugged, a cocky grin on his lips.

Taehyung didnt reply- he didnt know the Armani Crackhead figured that part out, but he wasnt going to discuss it anymore.

"Aren't you curious how I got to know?" The raventte asked, inching closer and Taehyung instinctively stepped away further from the man.

"Well... you firstly said 'I'm not interested in you' and not 'I'm not interested in men'... plus, you said that you wouldnt like it with your sexuality being discussed, where any other straight man would have cut it off with a very boring I'm straight to hold on to their straight ego. Also, not to forget, you've been looking at men and women with the same glimmering sparkle in your eyes- so in this essay, I quote unquote- that you, Detective Kim are infact a closeted Bisexual man" the Armani Crackhead grinned.

Taehyung simply glared in return, holding onto the staring battle.

"Let me do my Job goddamit- leave me alone!" Taehyung snarled.

The raven haired man chuckled, shrugging a little as he turned to face the stage, ignoring Taehyung who was fuming.

Taehyung sighed, trying to calm himself as he got back to work, with his eyes desperately searching for HyungWon.

"So... who are we searching for?"

Taehyung blinked.

This man was driving him nuts.

"There's no we. Get back to whatever you were doing before you saw me and pretend that I dont exist, thankyou very much" Taehyung snapped.

"Aw c'mon dont be like that- we're like partners now. Y'know on a mission and its gonna get bloody and rough and dirty..." the Armani Crackhead paused, the evil chuckle in his tone not going unnoticed by Taehyung.

Taehyung tilt his neck to look at the man, disbelief sprawled across his face.

"Was that a sexual innuendo?" Taehyung grit through his teeth.

The Armani Crackhead sipped his champagne, pursing his lips to bite back a grin.

"I dont know... do you want it to be?" He chuckled.

Taehyung mentally threw a rock at the raventte's face, but decided to not talk any further and zipped his mouth shut, going back to his search.

"I don't know who you are looking for... but that boy gives me bad vibes all over" the Armani Crackhead whispered, inching closer to Taehyung as his breath fanned on the Male's neck.

Taehyung would have surely karate-chopped the man's 6ft ass for breathing into his neck- but when his eyes landed on one particular face in the direction, the Armani Crackhead had pointed- Taehyung felt his nerves flare, the adrenaline rushing back to his system.

Chae HyungWon.

Paying no further attention to the raven haired Armani, Taehyung pushed his way through heading towards HyungWon.

Taehyung didn't even care if he accidently stepped onto somebody's dress or foot anymore- his eyes were focused on HyungWon, who hadn't noticed his presence yet.

Taehyung felt his gun, his right hand hovering a bit above it under his jacket as he crept closer towards the suspect in the crowd.

Unless, ofcourse- HyungWon looked up, his gaze striking with Taehyung's.

The air turned chilly and Taehyung watched as HyungWon's eyes widen, out of fear as the male backed away.

Shit.

HyungWon pushed his way, toppling over a tray as glass clattered all over the floor and the crowd gasped, inching away.

Taehyung put his whole strength in and pushed people away from his path, his eyes on HyungWon's head.

"Police! STOP RIGHT THERE!" Taehyung yelled, as he got into the clearance with the crowd shuffling away from him.

HyungWon bolted towards the exit, but just as soon the door opened and a couple of security guards walked in, HyungWon stumbled back- now trapped between Taehyung and the guards.

HyungWon quickly pulled out a knife from his pockets, and the guests yelped, moving away as the boy threatened them, yelling them to step back.

"Chae HyungWon... drop your weapon" Taehyung said, stepping forward cautiously with his right hand hovering above his holster, as they cornered him.

"NO! STEP BACK! I SAID STEP BACK!" HyungWon cried out, moving his knife around aggressively in the air.

"HyungWon... listen to me... put your knife down." Taehyung said calmly.

Dont make me do this kid... Taehyung pleaded inwardly.

"I SAID GET BACK!" HyungWon yelled in return, saying his knife at Taehyung and in a split second, Taehyung pulled out his gun, pointing at the male- who stumbled back.

"HyungWon... I will tell you one last time. Drop the knife and surrender yourself!" Taehyung ordered, his tone more stronger and deep this time.

Tears began streaming down the boy's face as he backed up to the ledge.

"Get back! Please... just get back!" He cried, not dropping the knife.

Taehyung's heart hammered in his chest, having a bad hunch on what was about to happen.

"HyungWon..." Taehyung called out again "we can discuss this in the station. Just drop your knife and surrender now. It'll be al-"

"NO! NO! You dont get it! My life is over!" HyungWon yelled through his tears.

"It is not over HyungWon... just surrender right now." Taehyung pressed on, taking a step ahead.

But HyungWon, quickly climbed onto the ledge as the crowd gasped in horror watching the boy stand on the ledge of a 52-floored building.

"HyungWon.. listen to me. Don't do this. Okay? Get down from the ledge-"

"No! No! I-I... cant face my parents after this. They- they dont deserve a son like me- I can't-" HyungWon cried louder, his knuckles turning white.

"HyungWon dont do this. There are ways we can-" Taehyung began but a voice cut him off.

"Jump."

The tension snapped into an eeiry silence as everyone turned to face the raven haired male who stepped ahead with his glass of champagne.

"What.are.you.doing?" Taehyung hissed with anger looking at Armani Crackhead who had stepped in with his assholery.

"Go on... go ahead and jump" the Raventte repeated, and the crowd gasped, murmuring around as the male casually took a sip of his champagne.

"You think life is hell right? All these struggles.. and headaches.. and life in general" The Armani Crackhead asked, stepping forward- almost standing side-by-side to Taehyung, who was lazer glaring at him.

"How would you like your afterlife to feel the same? You know- in hell? Like... you die like this- you fall straight to the ground.... " the raventte spike, diverting his fingers downward like a crashing airplane

"poof!" The raventte chuckled

"You never get back up- not here. Not in afterlife...." He snorted, with a smirk on his lips.

"How would you like your afterlife to be filled with everlasting despair and misery as your soul would wander round and round in endless stretches of time?" The Armani Crackhead clicked his tongue.

"I thought you Christians treasured to see the silver gates... but I'm guessing you are a little different. You know what... if you want to jump- go ahead and jump... seriously no one will stop you- except for this guy right here" The raventte chuckled, pointing his thumb at Taehyung, who was staring at him, completely baffled.

"And yeah... you know nobody here will actually care of your little stunt. Mm... yep... but maybe uh... your caretakers back at your place- hm..." The raventte scoffed, looking into his glass with a deep thought "I think they'll be more disappointed in you if you walk out dead than alive. I'm just saying..."

"So... youngman. You wanna die... then go ahead. Be the greatest disappointment of your caretakers" the Armani Crackhead shrugged as he chugged down his drink and then looked back at HyungWon.

Taehyung didnt lower his gun, his stance steady as his urge to knock out the raventte beside him increasing with each second, but he kept his gaze focused on HyungWon, who wore a defeated tear-stained face as he bit onto his quivering lips to hold back his cries.

HyungWon's knife slipped through his fingers, as he raised his arms up high and his head hung low.

Taehyung exhaled, approaching the male steadily, and gripped onto one of his arms, pulling him down from the edge.

Taehyung shoved his gun back into his holster and held HyungWon's limp, weakened arms behind his back and cuffed them down.

"Chae HyungWon, you are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say, can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you." Taehyung said, his voice firm but softer at the boy, who weakly nodded, complying to everything Taehyung said without showing any  resistance.

Taehyung softly exhaled, as the police from his unit showed up and escorted HyungWon away.

Hearing a light chuckle behind his back, Taehyung's eyebrows furrowed.

He turned on his heels, walking back to the Armani Crackhead who was supposedly being glorified by a circle of women who had surrounded him.

"You! You are coming with me!" Taehyung snapped, gripping onto the Male's arm and twisting it behind his back.

"Oh sure- I'd love to!" He grinned.

Taehyung mumbled a curse in his head as he gripped onto the other arm and held them together at the small of his back.

"O-Oh... careful with that" The Armani Crackhead chuckled as Taehyung cuffed his wrists.

"You know- I'd like this very much with our roles reversed" the raventte mumbled, craning his neck to look back at Taehyung who shot a sharp glare in return.

"Wouldn't you like that ladies?" The Armani Crackhead winked at the women, who giggled flirtatiously.

Mumbling a curse, Taehyung gripped onto the Male's arm and dragged him back.

"Goodnight! Call me if yall wanna hang out in my bedroom!" The male hollered, recieving more squeals and giggles.

Taehyung simply rolled his eyes as he shoved the man into the elevator.

"You know.. you could have been nicer to me. I've got an image to keep." The raventte said, clicking his tongue as he leaned against the adjacent corner of the elevator.

Taehyung ignored him, staring straight ahead watching the floor numbers decrease on the panel.

"You know... I've never actually had elevator sex" The raventte declared shamelessly and Taehyung snapped his head towards the male, a horrified expression splayed on his face.

"Can you... just shut up?" Taehyung snarled.

"What? Are you imagining about having elevator sex with me right now?" The Armani Crackhead chuckled evily.

That's it.

Taehyung felt his blood boiling.

"Listen here Armani- I will tell you one last time... to shut the fuck up. So you better fucking listen to me or I swear to God I-"

"Ah ah ah.. again with the I swear to God. Seriously, get a little creative... why cant you say I swear to the Devil instead? It sounds more powerful and threatening and it may actually work y'know. The other guy doesn't do shit- ya gotta know that." The Raventte smirked as he took a step closer towards Taehyung.

"I've been called a lot of names... Armani is a first." He licked his lips, his eyes glinting mischievously as Taehyung stood his ground, knowing if he'd back away- he'll be seen as weak. And that is something Taehyung didn't want.

The two stayed a feet or two apart from each other, their breaths fanning as a staring battle got called out between the two.

Head to head, while the Armani Crackhead smriked down at Taehyung, the detective glared back intensely.

The dinging sound of the elevator and the doors sliding open, was what finally broke them apart.

Taehyung gripped onto the Male's elbow and pushed him forward into the lobby.

"Hey- careful! Precious cargo!" The raventte smirked, feigning a hurt expression and Taehyung simply grumbled in return.

The two, made their way out of the building, some police cars still parked around outside. Maneuvering their direction, Taehyung let the Armani Crackhead into his car's backseat and slammed the shut.

"Hey c'mon- not the backseat Detective Kim" the man groaned, but Taehyung ignored holding onto the last string of sanity as he started the car and steered through.

There wasnt much exchanged in the car- well except ofcourse, the Armani Crcakhead continued yapping about until Taehyung felt his ears bleed.

He'd complain about not having enough leg space, or not enough aircon air reaching him in the backseat. He even had the audacity to ask Taehyung to play music, or if he didnt have any- to let him have the aux cable.

Taehyung breathed sharply.

This man was insane.

And it drove Taehyung insane.

Absolutely fucking amazing.

Parking his car, Taehyung pulled out the raventte and stomped his way towards the precinct.

The Armani Crackhead smirked, winking around and passing flirtatious comments here and there whenever he found someone staring at him for more that two seconds- and that meant, literally everyone the two encountered on their path.

Taehyung spotted Hoseok and sent him a mental message, to catch up with him and the other male nodded in response.

The two, walked into the investigation-questionaire room, a small 4-walled room that had a huge mirror on one side, which was infact one-way see through glass.

Taehyung dragged the chair and the raventte sat down on it spreading his legs wide while smiling dutifully as if they were on some picnic.

"Stay put. Dont you fucking move" Taehyung said cautiously, his tone ice cold.

"Imma wait for you all night. I ain't going no where baby" the Raventte replied, winking.

Resisting the urge to punch the male, Taehyung stomped his way out and slammed the door shut, heaving a sigh from all the pent up frustration.

"What's he in there for?" Hoseok asked, walking towards Taehyung.

"Ate my fucking braincells and jumped into police protocol investigation." Taehyung answered, his tone a little snappy. "How's HyungWon coming?"

"Jennie and Jihyo are onto it- he hasn't spoken about the whereabouts of LeeHi yet" Hoseok answered as they entered into another room, similar to that of the one Taehyung had entered previously, except for this time he was on the other side, where he could see everything but the three couldnt see him or Hoseok.

Taehyung crossed his arms and watched through the glass, exhaling softly.

"I'm sorry.... I didnt know what else to do... " HyungWon cried into his cuffed hands.

He watched Jihyo get up and leave the room and the door, to their room opened- revealing the woman.

She sighed "he confessed that he did pickup LeeHi on Friday. He had been meeting her over some time, they weren't necessarily friends... but it helped him, gain her small amount of  trust to climb into his car."

"Chae HyungWon and his family has been struggling financially over the years and he couldnt cover up his university tuition fee, despite working two part time jobs- so someone approached him online and offered him money, in returns to kidnap LeeHi and deliver her. HyungWon stated that he has never seen the person's face, and has only heard them over phone. He was asked to tie up LeeHi and drop her in an alley- which we already have confirmed doesnt have any CCTV cameras in that particular stretch of area." Jihyo said, propping her hands on her waist.

"Well then, we'll have to round about all the vehicles that went in and out through that area." Taehyung clicked his tongue.

"Hm.. I kinda feel bad for this kid though..." Jihyo sighed.

Taehyung didn't comment but only pursed his lips in response, as he walked out followed by the other two.

"Hoseok I want you to interrogate that guy" Taehyung mumbled

"Me? Why?" Hoseok asked, utterly confused.

"Because I think I might burst a vein in my head if he'll talk another sentence to me. He's probably a delusional theatrical playboy for sure though" Taehyung replied, subtly rolling his eyes.

"What's his deal?" Hoseok asked, pausing at the door.

"I dont know... but I'm willing to find out" Taehyung answered, as they walked into separate rooms.

Taehyung and Jihyo in one and Hoseok and the raventte in the other.

"Oh hello- who are you?" The Raventge asked, looking at Hoseok.

"I'm Detective Jung Hoseok and I'm here-"

"Where did Detective Kim go?" The Armani Crackhead interjected, looking at the door, his eyes moving and landing right where Taehyung was standing on the other side of the glass.

Taehyung almost stopped breathing, his heart thumping in his chest as he stared back at the man.

Taehyung knew this was a one way mirror, meaning only he could see them- but with the way the raventte was looking it felt like- as if, he knew where Taehyung was standing- as if... he could see him through the mirror. Taehyung was really doubting his own senses and logic at the moment.

But much to his relief, the raventte looked away- shifting his gaze back at Hoseok and Taehyung let out a sigh of relief.

God- he really was losing it.

"Call Detective Kim... I only wanna talk to him"

Hoseok paused, visibly tired.

Taehyung rolled his eyes and walked out of the room, walking back into the interrogation room.

He watched the Armani Crackhead's eyes light up, a huge grin carving on his lips.

"Ah! There you are" he cheered.

"Alright-" Taehyung paused "what's your name?"

"What I have already told you" the man grinned.

"Beetlebab?" Taehyung mocked, watching the grin falter from the Male's face as Taehyung felt victorious on the inside.

"That. Is the worst misinterpretation... like ever!" The raventte scoffed with disbelief.

"So.. the Devil?" Taehyung cocked his head to the side, subtly glancing down at Hoseok, who's head snapped up to him in a his-name-is-what??!??!?!?! look.

"Yes." The Armani Crackhead grinned "that's what I am named... what y'know people call me" the male shrugged.

"But- you no longer are a people person, so...  hey- name's Jeon Jungkook. Sup?" The raventte winked.

Taehyung blinked and sighed exasperated.

"Do you have any sort of Proof to that?" Taehyung asked, to the supposed 'Jungkook'

"Yeah.. I have my Card in my wallet, but its against my asscheek so-"

Taehyung rolled his eyes and walked closer, propping his hand on the raventte's shoulder and pushing him a bit away, so that he could remove his wallet from his back pocket.

"Ah- Ah precious cargo. Watch out" the raventte chuckled into his ears, when Taehyung grabbed onto the man's wallet- expertly avoiding his fingers from touching the man's clothed butt cheek.

Taehyung flipped the wallet open, there wasnt much cash- except for yeah- a black card...

Taehyung looked back at the Armani Crackhead, who had a smug grin on his lips.

This guy's fucking rich- Taehyung thought to himself and shoved his thoughts away.

His fingers brushed past a smooth business card and he pulled it out, reading the golden italics on the card.

Sinner

Jeon Jungkook

Taehyung had a hunch about what the card was about- but let it not haunt his mind, just yet.

He passed it down to Hoseok to let him go an confirm if the card and its details were authentic.

"Anyway... Detective Kim- what am I being detained for?" The male asked, his tone a little lazy.

"For what you did back there- sabotaging police investigation and jumping into it unauthorized" Taehyung replied, taking Hoseok's seat.

"Sabotage? I saved the guy!" The man laughed.

"By asking him to jump?" Taehyung shot back, bewildered.

"But did he though?" The Armani Crackhead leaned in, a menacing grin on his lips.

"He would have" Taehyung retorted.

"Ah c'mon! He wouldn't have jumped- I've seen men like that for all my life and they only bluff with this shit... trust me" the man groaned, leaning back into his chair.

"You have no idea what kind of risk was that- if we would have lost him, by any chance- we wouldnt have another clue to our lead so dont tell me that they only bluff" Taehyung snapped.

"Detective Kim" the raventte said, pausing, his tone a little different- something stronger "that boy was someone who believed in that old guy up there. The rosary in his neck was more than enough of a proof"

"He is someone who's scared for tomorrow, but he'd let it approach it anyway, because he believes that is life, something the Creator has set for him. But then again, he's someone who's also scared of taking his own life- because, he knows and believes, it is the ultimate sin against the Creator. He wouldn't have taken his life... not after what I said... Detective Kim."

Silence engulfed them for the longest- Taehyung didn't know what to say, so he stared back into those intense black orbs that held his gaze.

Taehyung felt his chest combust- there was so much happening, his blood gushing, his nerves flaring- but then again... everything was calm. He could feel his fingers tingling and his mind clouding with nothingness, his tastebuds firing up like a shot of electricity zipping past him.

It was familiar- it felt like the same thing he had felt back at Joohi's, when he had encountered the male for the  very first time and he had asked 'what do you want?'- except for this time, the surge felt a 100 times stronger- like it was trying to rip out his mind.

But much to his trauma, he was saved, when the door creaked open revealing Hoseok.

Taehyung exhaled, snapping out of the trance.

"That's Jeon Jungkook oh alright- the owner of the Clubs coming under the branded name of Sinner." Hoseok mumbled, with a suggestive eyebrow roll. "Yeah...that guy. The one who sings." He whispered this bit and Taehyung simply pursed his lips shut.

"Anyway, the CCTV reports from the outskirts came through and uh.. they found this car. There's nothing special- a common SUV." Hoseok murmured, not wanting the other guy in the room to hear the conversation, as he showed the pictures on his Tablet device.

Taehyung zoomed in on the car, pausing at the black SUV with a sticker on its bumper that resurrected some of his memories.

He let out a breath, looking up, finally being able to connect the dots.

"What?! You got something?" Hoseok asked, shocked but patient at the same time.

"If there's anyone who has that ugly 'my kid is the best kid' sticker on an ugly ass SUV who has connections with the Lee's- its... Bae SooYoung. She lives in the same neighbourhood as the Lee's!" Taehyung replied, their eyes confirming silently in agreement.

"I'm on LeeHi- you get to Bae SooYoung" Hoseok said, rushing out of the door.

"Hey! What about me?!" A voice yelled out.

"You're sitting right here for now" Taehyung replied as he rushed back to the table and grabbed the papers from it.

"Aw c'mon you need me. We can be partners!" The Arma- Jungkook groaned.

"I dont work well with partners. And I dont need a partner thankyou very much" Taehyung grinned sarcastically, before his face morphed into his resting bitch-face.

"But you need my help- I helped you catch the other dude." The man whined, his shoulders slumped.

"You sabotaged it- but okay. Have a good night Mr. Jeon" Taehyung yelled before walking out and slamming the door shut.

Jungkook groaned, tilting his neck to hear his bones pop off, releasing a satisfying crackle.

He focused his strength on the camera in the room and watched the red light on its bottom, slowly go off. He then shifted his focus on his wrists and with a single click, the handcuffs broke apart, supporting one for his each wrist like a bangle.

Jungkook clicked his tongue and removed them off, shoving the metal hoops into his pockets as he stood up and walked out the door, whistling softly to himself- he let his power pf manipulation waft in waves around, to let the mortals, willingly pass him through the hallway and out of the precinct.

He smiled looking at the night sky.

Have a good night Mr. Jeon.

He chuckled.

He couldnt think of heading back to his penthouse, without having heard the Male's whole name from his own mouth.

He wanted to hear him say Kim Taehyung.

It was odd- for as of why.... but then again, the Devil had his cravings.

Although, he knew... there was something weird about the Detective. He had dodged his powers again- but something about it, enticed the Devil.

He craved it.

And Jungkook wasnt sure if he was craving for something from the male....

Or if he was craving for Kim Taehyung, himself.
