"So,how was holidays back home?"

Sam asked passing me one of her sandwiches,as i took it with a smile..

"Thank you,and..it was interesting,i guess." Quickly stuffing my mouth with the delicious sandwich,hoping she would change the subject as I gazed away..

And as I expected it,she gave me that glare behind her glasses as she was holding on to her sandwich..

"Tell me what happened in five seconds or else I will scream."

I looked around as more people walked in for lunch break before I turned back at her..

"One."

"I really can't tell you now,people will listen and-"

"Two."

"Sam."

"Three."

"I will tell you at home please don't-"

"Four."

She opened her mouth,ready to scream and i covered it with my palm as I whispered to her ear..

"Me and Val met again when I was back home."

With a surprised muffle,she looked at me with widen eyes..

I don't think I would be ready to tell her my suicide attempt without her yelling and making a whole mess.

As I felt her tongue rolling around on my palm,I quickly pulled it away,seeing her lipstick on my hand too..

"You and Val?I thought it was a long forgotten story how did he find you?"

She took a napkin and cleaned my hand,as I looked at my sandwich with a sigh..

"He texted me,knowing I was back home and wanted to meet."

I looked at her with sad eyes..

"He wants to try again Sam.And I can't."

"Wow,that's..a lot,tell me from the beginning."

It took me almost all the break to explain her what happened but got it done,as Sam was looking at me with big eyes eating her sandwich..

"And what are you going to do now?"

With a heavy sigh,I stood up,grabbing my empty tea bottle and throwing it along with the sandwich wrap..

"I have no idea,I don't want to go back Sam,what happened,happened and I don't think going back will change something."

"He keeps insisting though,and now that you left him hanging without an answer,he will become more pushy."

I grabbed my file from the table,walking with her towards our offices..

"If he does,I will just explain it to him straight forward.He really was something to me but,now,things changed and he needs to understand that."

Sam smiled,looking proudly at me,feeling a hand on my shoulder but it wasn't hers..

"Who needs to understand what?"

Slightly jumping from surprise,I looked back and saw Devin..

"Oh,nothing to worry about really." Giving him a sweet smile,hoping he will forget about it,he just squinted his eyes..

"Are you free after work?"

"Um." I looked over to Sam,who just shrugged and walked away. "Yeah,me and Sam didn't plan anything so.."

"Good,I want to talk."

I took a look around,no one was close and leaned close to him..

"Its something wrong?"

"I just want us to talk,please."

With a small nod,we agreed to meet afterwards,but i was so curious to what he wanted to talk about..

As I was gazing away in my office,I didn't notice the time passing so quickly..

My shift was about to end,and cleaned around the office and organized some files as a small ring on the phone made me stop..

"Hey Kat,Scott here,the boss wants to talk to you,he is on the line."

Quickly grabbing the phone,i picked it up,clearing my throat..

"Yes sir?"

"Can I have a moment with you in my office before you go?"

"Yes sir,coming right away."

Making quick moves,I grabbed the files i needed,my jacket and my bag,rushing towards the elevator and pressing the button to the top floor..

Scott still had some work on his desk but he gave me a wave,making me smile as I walked down the hallway,knocking the door..

"Come in."

Slowly opening the wooden door and then closing it again,I looked over to Vincent who was loosing up a bit his tie..

"Done for the day sir?"

He chuckled..

"I should be the one asking that but yeah,how is the suit going?"

I swallowed hard..

"Still needs some work,but making progress everyday."

"Good to hear." He smiled,looking at me from head to toe,approaching slowly as his shoes echoed in the room..

"Are you in hurry,Miss Latrom?" He gazed into my eyes as he gave me a warm smile. "I can give you a ride home,its dangerous to walk around in that time.We don't want something bad to happen to you."

His hand rested on my arm,feeling him pull me closer to him but I shook my head,snapping out of it..

"Um,ehem." I cleared my throat,backing away. "That's very nice of you sir,but I already have someone to give me a lift so,um,better go."

I turned around and wrapped my hand around the door handle,but a large hand slammed on the wooden door making me flinch..

"Is that so?Hm,what a shame,another time then."

I wasn't even looking at him but I could imagine him smirk,pulling his hand away and resting it on my shoulder,his hot breath on my right ear as his lips pecked my ear lobe..

"I promise you another time."

"Y-Yes sir." I shuttered as I was shaking like crazy and quickly opened the door,almost running towards the elevator as his deep chuckle echoed in the distance before he closed the door..

Finally making my way out of the company,a long sigh escaped my lips,checking the time on my watch..

"Where is Devin." I asked silently myself,pulling my phone out..

"Ugh,no battery,great."

I threw the phone back in my bag huffing,walking towards the parking lot..

Maybe he was waiting me there,if not I hope I can catch up with Sam so she can get us home with her car..

I noticed only one car in there and crossed my fingers hoping it was Devin's,hopping a bit as I could in my high heels..

Looking inside to check,I didn't see anyone,making me question it..

There was no one around so where he could possibly go..

Cursing at myself,I stuffed the files i was holding inside my bag,as a sound of car speeding up was getting louder..

Lifting my head,I noticed from the windows of the car,i was standing in front of,the speeding car coming right at me..

I turned around to run,but I felt like i was glued on the concrete,my legs unable to move as my heart was racing fast..

Without a second panicking thought a figure from my side run with force,wrapping arms around me making us fall into the bushes that were nearby..

My head was ringing,groaning in pain as the figure held me close,one hand on my head and the other on my back..

I couldn't quite feel the grass on my body,more like a layer of skin covering me..

My vision was blurry,looking up and seeing a face,but couldn't quite make out who..or more like faces since I was seeing more because of me hitting my head on the ground..

I squinted my eyes,trying to get a look around as I noticed..wings wrapped around my figure,his fingers slightly tug at me,hearing his heart going faster,as if he was scared..

"I am sorry Kitty Cat."

I softly gasped,his fingers covering my eyes and slowly closing them,making me fall into a deep sleep.
