I have been spamming with messages and calls Devin for almost all day..

The heavy feeling on my chest that something went wrong was killing me..

It was around noon when I got a reply..

"Kitty Cat."

"Devin!I was about to die from being so nervous.How are you?"

"Like shit."

I sighed,feeling kind of guilty of saying all those things last night..

The things I almost did..

"I hate hangovers."

"Why you drank so much?When Sam told me I felt like I was losing the ground under my feet."

"You felt that?Then how am I supposed to feel huh?I knew something was up all day yesterday,I could feel it down my spine and when you said those things last night,I really did lose the ground under my feet."

My fingers clung the phone,trying to type but I was shaking..

"I was at the bar when you said those things,I really thought I fucking lost you and..couldn't handle it and threw myself on alcohol.Not the wisest thing to do,but I felt like shit,I felt like I wasn't helping you,that I wasn't seeing how much you were suffering."

"Devin,I don't want to be an obstacle in your life,I already am useless and saying those things to you really ruined your night."

I run my fingers through my messy hair,covering my head with the warm blankets becoming a messy burrito..

When I felt the buzz from my phone I managed to squeeze it out from the blankets with my hands as well..

"Kat,this is really important.I don't care if you ruin my life for all I care.I care about you,Sam and Scott care about you.Heck,even your family cares about you!"

"That's the biggest lie I have ever heard."

"Believe it or not Kitty Cat,they really do care about you.They might show it in the wrong way,but they do what they do because they care and don't want you to fail.I know you will succeed,you have come so far and you have so much more in your life to succeed especially with that big project for the boss!"

I gazed away,feeling unsure but tried to ignore it..

"What if I fail the design?He already scolds me because he thinks I am being lazy,when I clearly don't have all the materials yet."

"When the final product would be ready,then you will show him how 'lazy' you are.You will create a masterpiece!"

"Don't say impossible things Devin."

"I am not.Look,Kat,I am being so serious,whatever stupid thoughts of harming yourself going around your mind,you will tell them to me.No more hiding,you got it?I want to be by your side and help you,hear your problems and make you smile,because you don't deserve that."

I sofly frowned with a sigh,typing the question that was going around my head for so long since I met him..

"Why you care so much about me?"

Waiting for a simple quick answer,he took his time and typed for a couple of minutes,expecting a large text..

"To be honest,I don't know.My instincts pull me towards you.You aren't the typical everyday girl.You are different and you deserve so much.Somehow,I knew something was up with you yesterday and I was bloody right!I really thought I lost something..unique.I really thought I lost that beautiful message spam of yours,your silliness.That spam have been one of the greatest things that could happen to me all year,and for some reason I think of you way more often than usual,going around my mind and sometimes worrying when you don't text back.I care about you and I want to help in any way possible.I found something special and I am not letting you go...IDIOT!"

I couldn't help but chuckle at the last word,a smile forming my lips as I sighed happily..

"Thank you for being here Devin,and I am sorry about yesterday."

"Don't apologize,I understand your situation and its only natural for that to happen.But from now on you will tell me everything,alright?Like,I said no more hiding!"

"I will try."

"Even if its in the middle of the night or hell's know when,text me anytime."

"But I can't always be on your back,you have other stuff to do."

"I don't care!You matter more!"

"Um,no I don't."

After that,a following messages of 'yes you do' kept spamming my phone making me chuckle..

"Alright,alright we get it!"

"Nope.You aren't convinced,I will keep going!"

"Nooo!I swear I got it now!"

Sending cry laugh emojis,I couldn't help but laugh more..

He already makes me feel better.

"I can't wait for you to come back."

A small blush dusted on my cheeks,smiling a bit..

"I can't wait to come back too."

Christmas holidays were over,which means back to work.

I really don't mind,being back home was all over the place but nice too if you don't consider the meeting with Val..

I haven't talked to him since New Years,and I think its better that way,possibly he found a chick to sleep for the night and forgot me..

But I guess a good thing that I gathered from those holidays was the fact that I finally got all the stuff I needed to start working on the suit..

Managing to get my keys out to unlock the door,I noticed it was already open..

Who comes this early in here?

Pushing the door open with my hip,I pressed the button of the elevator since I don't think I am capable of walking up the stairs with around five to six bags and high heels on,in almost complete darkness since it was that early..

Humming to myself as the elevator was going up to the floor where my office is,I also checked the bags in case I forgot anything..

"Oh wait,my phone."

I grabbed my handbag,shuffling around the little mess that was going inside and finally founding it plugged with the charger..

Oh yeah,I forgot to charge it.

Finally getting on the floor,noticing i had 10% battery,I collected all the bags once again and managed to pull myself into my new office..

"Bright and early i see."

Almost making me drop the bags,I placed my hand on my chest,heart going crazy..

"You fucking scared me!Gosh."

"I get that a lot." He softly chuckled,running his fingers through his hair,fixing them a bit..

I looked back at him,smiling a bit as I set the bags down..

"I missed you." I mumbled and without thinking i wrapped my arms around him,giving him a tight hug..

It was,a bit awkward doing that,if you consider that only through texts we talked and it was actually the second time meeting face to face..

He hesitated a bit but hugged back,feeling his face nuzzling against my neck..

"Don't ever do that again,you hear me?" His soft whispers made me shiver,pulling away as he playfully hit my forehead with his fingers..

"Idiot."

Frowning,I rubbed the spot he hit me,pouting a bit before my fingers sneaked on his sides,giving him a tickle..

He immediately collapsed as he laughed loudly,apologizing as I smirked to myself..

"You are the idiot,idiot."

I said playfully and he squinted his eyes,but then we started laughing together..

Hopping carefully on my desk,I sat on the edge looking at him..

"So,why so early?"

"Me?I always come early because its so nice and quiet,and I can actually get some work done without having all that hustle of the office.You?"

"Well,for the exact same reason!I always come early either way so,why not work some more and possibly finish early?"

He smiled and walked around my office,sitting on my chair..

"I am glad we think the same way."

"Get your ass off my chair you little shit."

"Hm,make me." He chuckled. "I don't think you can do much without you ripping your skirt."

I slammed my hand on the desk and stood up,making my way towards him with a glare..

"Take that back."

"Why,what would you do?"

I simply reached down and removed one of my black high heels,pointing them towards him..

"That.." I pointed at the heel. "You know where."

"Up my ass?Pfft,i have heard of that,no one have done it."

I raised an eyebrow..

"Oh,I didn't mean in your ass,there would be something else it would go there,but this." I kept pointing at the heel. "Will go to another hole."

He tilted his head.

"I only have one hole."

"Are you sure about that?" I smirked and pointed the heel on his crotch..

He widened his eyes and quickly covered it with his hands..

"Oh hell no!"

I chuckled and watched him slowly stand up..

"Hey,we are friends right?You would never hurt a friend,and as a matter of fact,I don't want to hurt you." He slowly went behind the chair using it as a defense..

"Why you hurt me?"

"Oh,I don't know because guys have more strength and can easily take the females down?"

He instantly regretted the moment he said it,watching me remove the other heel as both hands were armed..

I was ready,as a bull ready to attack..

"Run."

And he did,and gosh he really was fast but I followed him,running as well and almost sliding on the marble floor..

He looked back at me with a cheeky smile..

"Careful not to slip and fall on some paperwork again!This time you will pick them up!"

I gasped surprised,still clinging into my heels running..

"You were the guy I fall into?"

He gave a simple nod and I just shook my head,taking a shortcut and as he looked back to see me but i attacked him from the side..

Pinning him down,watching him struggle and trying to roll me over to take control,I grabbed his arms and put pressure on them from the back,hearing him groan..

"I..have..black belt..on Tae kwon do!" He managed to say as I chuckled..

"Yeah,I see that." I playfully rolled my eyes as I positioned the one heel close to his ass,as the other was nicely placed near his neck,almost touching his Adam's apple..

"You will..regret this..Kitty Cat!"

"Take back what you said earlier and I might reconsider.Also,don't call me like that!" The sudden pink blush appeared on my cheeks..

"Never!" He softly choked to say it..

As I was watching him suffer with a small smirk,the doors of the elevator suddenly opened,making both of us look directly at it..

"What..in the actual hell." Sam looked at us with a questioning look as she was holding her coffee,looking me and then him..

Then she focused her gaze on me..

"He said guys are way more powerful and that can take us down easily,and I am trying to prove him wrong." I smiled sweetly..

She exhaled deeply,pushing her glasses up to her nose..

"Oh Kat." She shook her head..

I felt myself slightly pulling away from him,thinking I made a fool of myself..

She rested her bag and her coffee on the floor of the elevator..

"You aren't doing it right." She said with a devilish smirk as she removed her own high heels,making me smile widely with sparkly eyes..

"It takes two to make him learn the lesson." She chuckled. "Let the meat run."

Squirming his body away from mine,he managed to stand up running away scared for his own life..

"Ready?" She looked over to me with a small smirk,getting her high heels ready as I nodded with a chuckle..

"After him!"
