Checking the time again on my watch,I noticed it was time to head home and get ready.

Making sure I was done with the tie for today,I placed it back on the mannequin and covered it with a cloth,pushing the screen gently of my laptop down.

Grabbing my bag and the keys i was already out of the office,watching Sam typing something on her computer,but still gave me a small glance before she noticed I was leaving.

"Where are you going."

"Um,home."

"But your shift ends at seven,now its five." She squinted her eyes behind her black glasses."What have you done and you hide it from me."

With an awkward smile,I slowly scooted towards her desk,getting closer to her face as I looked around,making sure no one will hear it.

"I have a business dinner at eight."

"Business or not,boss will rip you if you leave early."

"Actually.." I got closer to her ear,whispering as my heart went a bit fast by what her reaction might be."The boss invited me to dinner."

Her eyes went wide,as her hands turned into fists.

"WHAT!" Probably the whole building heard her as i tried to shut her mouth.

"I knew this son of a bachelor had something in mind with you!I will kill him!Business dinner my ass!I will-!" I slapped my hand on her mouth,muffling any curses as other people looked at us with a weird look.

"Nothing to worry about everyone!She is just having one of her moments again." And because they know Sam,they shrugged it off and went back on working.

I looked back at her and pulled my hand away."Dude!What is wrong with you,there is a reason I whispered that to you!I don't want anyone to know this."

She crossed her arms."Tell me everything."

"I can't,I need to go.But when I will return home I will make sure to tell you everything."

"Hm,if you aren't at his house sleeping." She sipped her coffee,making me blush.

"Not going to happen,especially with him."

"Why?He isn't bad looking and,he has a weakness on you."

"Oh please,stop with the nonsense,he just happens to be smooth with the ladies."

"Your blush says otherwise."

I huffed,cursing myself for the red cheeks and turned around."Whatever!I need to go and get ready,I will catch up with you later."

I started walking with a fast pace,hearing her say later,but the way she said it was as if she wore the most devious smirk on her face.

I exited the building keeping the fast pace,checking the time again as I slightly slipped,only to get a hold on someone's strong arms.

"Wow,careful there.Walking fast with those shoes isn't a good idea,especially if you don't see where you are going."Devin chuckled,teasing my forehead as I rolled my eyes.

"Why in hurry Kitty Cat?"

I straighten my skirt with a sigh,checking the time again."I don't have a ride home since Sam is still working and I need to go home quickly."

"Well,easy,I can give you a ride."

I raised an eyebrow."But you still work,you can't just leave for ten minutes like it's nothing."

"I have a break,so no worries,you will be home in no time." He wrapped an arm around my shoulder,moving me to his car.

I smiled,noticing that the car that was on the parking lot and got hit wasn't Devin's,since that one is totally different from the other.

Getting inside,he hopped to the other side,starting the engine as he slowly drove off from the building.

"So,why leaving early?" He asked,slightly tapping his fingers on the wheel and eyes on the road.

"I have an important business dinner."

"With who?" He slightly glanced at me.

"With the boss."I let that sentence trail off for some reason,feeling a knot stuck in my throat.

"Vincent?Hm." His fingers tightened around the wheel,stopping at the red light."Be careful with him.I don't like the vibes he is giving out."

"What do you mean,it is not like he will kill me." I turned and looked at him,slightly squinting my eyes.

"You don't know that,never trust anyone,besides you don't know his intentions." The light turned green and started driving again."He might say 'let's talk about this business matter over dinner' and in the end it might turn out a little date with him trying to fuck you at his car or his fancy apartment."

He grinded his teeth,and he clawed at the leather wheel as if he tried to rip it off,the veins on his arms started showing,slowly pulsing from the tension.

"Devin,relax,he is not goi-."

"You don't know that Kat,you should be careful around guys and what real intentions they have." He interrupted,exhaling deeply as he slowly stopped the car by the building of my apartment,leaning back on the seat.

"I am just worried about you,exactly how worried would be Sam and Scott if they heard about it.It is awfully suspicious,especially with the soft spot he has on you."

"Why everyone says that,just because he gave me that promotion,and gave me money to make his suit,doesn't mean that he has me as a target."

I sighed,slightly rubbing my wrist."Anyway,thank you for the ride." My hand reached for the door handle but he slammed his hand on it,making me turn and look at his dark eyes,our noses touching just barely as my breathing got heavier.

"Let me come along and watch you over in case something happens,please."

"I can handle it Devin.Everything will be fine,you are just exaggerating."

His fingers slowly pulled away from the door handle,brushing against mine as his fingertips sent the sensation of immense electricity down my spine,making me both shiver and blush.

Swallowing hard,I opened the door,holding tightly into my bag as I looked over to him,supporting my hand on the door of the car.

"Thank you for the ride,I will make sure to repay you with a coffee." I said with a small smile,hoping to break the awkwardness that have built up.

He pulled himself back,resting a hand on the wheel and smiled."I never say no to free coffee."

We both chuckled,relieved that we let that aside for now,but we both know that this conversation will continue.

I waved at him,pulling out the keys from my bag and slowly opening the entrance door of the apartment building.

But before pushing the door open,I could feel his eyes burning my back with his stare,slightly turning around and looking at him as he slowly drove off.

A small smile formed on my lips,looking at the hand that touched with his,slightly blushing.
