"Kat,please calm yourself."

Two hands rested on my shoulders,making my shaking body flinch a bit..

"I know its a big day for you today,I am here,by your side."

The girl with black glasses now sat next to me,making me look at her..

"I know you are here for me Sam,and I really appreciate it.But I can't shake off that feeling,that knot in my stomach." I said as I felt my heart dropping inside my body..

She placed her hand on my chest..

"Take a deep breath,inhale." She inhaled herself as she looked at me to do the same..

I inhaled shakily,placing my hand on hers..

"And exhale." She mumbled exhaling with a smile..

I exhaled as well,calming myself a bit..

"Better?"

"Yeah,thank you."

She smiled and hugged me as I leaned to rest my head on her chest..

"You deserve that promotion Kathleen.No need to worry yourself about the boss,I know you are slightly scared of him,because he is the boss,but he knows what you can do."

A deep sigh escaped my dry lips..

"What if I mess up on that meeting though Sam?you know how much a nervous person I am.I will create disaster even by walking inside his office."

My lips turned pouty,and she couldn't help but chuckle..

"Oh come on,you aren't that clumsy!"

I turned my head slowly to her,raising an eyebrow giving her a look..

"Okay,yeah,you can be clumsy,but you got this!I believe in you!do you remember what you said that you will try?"

"Positivity..?"

"Exactly!" She exclaimed happily and stood me up,pushing me inside my room..

"Now,wear your work clothes,grab your designing file and get ready!"

"Sam.."

Suddenly her finger silenced me..

"Hush." She pulled her finger away from my lips,resting her hands on my shoulders,her brown big eyes looking into my worrying green ones..

"This is your dream Kat.Look at your designing file,you deserve to be the lead head designer.You are so talented!"

A small smile built up on my lips..

"You believed in yourself once,now I want you to do that again.You worked hard,now its the time for all your hard work to pay off!"

My hands rested on hers..

"You are right.This is my time,my dream."

She smiled widely and hugged me tightly..

"Now,time to get ready!I have a day off so I won't be there,but once you come home I will make sure to celebrate it!"

My arms wrapped around her body hugging her back,nuzzling against her..

"You are the best Sam,I am so lucky to have you in my life."

She pulled away and pushed her glasses up to her nose..

"I am not your best friend for nothing,always here to be the bright light in your life!"

I couldn't help but smile more..

I really am lucky to have her.

After she walked out to leave me get ready,I looked over to the desk where my designing file was resting..

I couldn't sleep all night from my nervousness,I was going through the file again and again..

But now I am sure,I know that my designs are worth it..

Without second thought,I changed into my work clothes..

Just a simple skirt reaching my knees with a white button up shirt..

Supporting myself on the desk,I slipped into my black high heels,carefully wearing my work jacket..

I grabbed my file,looking down at it with a confident smile..

I am ready.

It was another busy day,though the knot in my stomach was still there,making me sweat at times..

But then the time came up..

Walking out of the elevator of the highest floor in the skyscraper,my black high heels clicked on the white marble floor..

I heard a heavy sigh following with a groan as the assistant collapsed on his desk..

"Feeling done Scott?"

"You can't even imagine!" he lifted his head,his fingers running through his messy dark brown hair..

"I didn't even sleep properly,and today i have calls from everyone!Meetings,agreements..ugh.."

He removed the head piece that was for callings and threw it on the desk,rubbing his tired eyes..

"Think the positive side though!Christmas are coming!" I tried to say with a small smile..

He chuckled a bit and looked at me..

"You are such a sweetheart Kat.I hope you do great at the meeting now,you ready?"

I nodded,feeling my legs almost giving out on me..

"Calm yourself,you know how boss is,no need to worry."

"Even if the boss is chill or not,he is serious at some matters and I want to prove him that I am capable for that position!"

My posture straighten,clinging the file close to my chest..

"You have already proven that Kat,since you came to this company.Your designs have changed so much not only the place,but the way we looked on the outside world too,and I think the boss has some special plans for you,because he knows how unique you are."

My chest started racing..coming from him that means he knows since he is basically his right hand..

I opened my mouth about to say something but the phone started ringing..

"Ugh,freaking hell.." He grabbed the head piece and put it back on,positioning the microphone close to his mouth..

"Afton Headquarters,this is the assistant speaking."

I sighed,looking down the corridor,the doors of the boss's office closed..

The knot in the stomach returned,nervously rubbing my wrist..

"Yes,yes,he can start from today,if you please,and-oh!excuse me for a second,I have another line.."

My eyes scanned the room for the hundredth of time before looking back at him,hearing him mumble about a new guy in a specific sector..

He picked the other line,and then looked over to me..

"You can go now.You got this!" He gave me a big smile and thumbs up,making me smile more,as he went back to doing his job..

I walked down the corridor,slightly panicking,but I did what Sam told me to do..

Deep breaths and confidence.

Stopping right outside the doors,I straighten my posture again,smiling as I gripped the file close to myself..
