It was a cold and dark night as Scarlett made her way back from college. She had been assigned to stay late and complete her project, so she was walking home alone. As she walked down the deserted road, she couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched.
She quickened her pace, feeling a chill run down her spine. The night sky was clear, the stars twinkling brightly above her. But for Scarlett, it seemed as if the stars were hiding something ominous, something that made her feel tense and nervous.

She kept looking over her shoulder as she walked, her heart racing with each step. Every rustle of leaves or distant sound made her jump, convinced that someone was following her. She couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched.

It wasn't like Scarlett to feel this way. She was a confident, outgoing girl who never let her fears get the best of her. But tonight was different. She couldn't explain it, but something about the dark, deserted streets and the eerie silence of the night had her on edge

But as she walked down the dark road, a strange feeling crept up on her. She felt a presence behind her, as if someone was watching her every move. Her heart started racing, and she couldn't shake off the feeling of being followed.

Scarlett hurried through the dark streets, her heart thumping loudly in her chest. She could feel someone following her, but every time she turned around, no one was there. She quickened her pace, wanting to reach the safety of her apartment as soon as possible.

As she quickened her pace, she dared to look back and saw a man walking behind her. He was tall and had an aura around him which she couldn't explain. She couldn't make out his face in the dim streetlights, but she could sense that he was not a regular human being.

Scarlett felt a shiver run down her spine as she realized that the man was following her. She had never been in this kind of situation before, but the fear made her blood run cold her heart,beating fast. She knew that strangers could be harmful, and this man seemed no different.

She tried to calm her nerves and told herself that perhaps he was just a passerby. But her intuition told her otherwise as the man followed her every turn. She knew she had to be careful and not let him know that she was afraid.

However, as she made a turn towards an empty alley, she felt a hand grab onto her arm. She turned around to see the man standing close to her, with an eerie smile on his face. She wanted to scream, but her voice seemed stuck in her throat.

'What a lovely night, isn't it?' the man said in a smooth voice, his eyes never leaving Scarlett's face.

As he opened his mouth to say something, she saw something that made her blood run cold.

His fangs.

Scarlett stumbled back in shock, her mind struggling to comprehend what she was seeing. That's when it hit her - this man was not human. He was a vampire.

Scarlett's heart raced as she tried to think of a way to escape. But before she could even take a step, the vampire was standing right in front of her, his eyes blazing with hunger.

'I've been watching you, Scarlett,' he said, his voice low and menacing.

Scarlett's mind was racing. She couldn't believe that vampires actually existed, and she had no idea how to defend herself against one. She tried to scream, but no sound came out of her throat.

The vampire seemed to sense her fear, and a wicked smile curved on his lips. 'Don't be afraid. I won't hurt you...yet,' he said, emphasizing the last word.

She wanted to run, but her feet were rooted to the ground. She knew that she had to do something, or she would end up as this vampire's dinner.

'Please, just leave me alone,' she managed to say, her voice shaking with fear.

The vampire chuckled, the sound making Scarlett's blood turn cold.

'I'm afraid I can't do that.'
said the vampire

Scarlett's heart was pounding in her chest, and she knew that she had to think fast. She closed her eyes, trying to find the courage to fight back. But when she opened them, the vampire was still standing in front of her, his piercing eyes gazing into hers.

She was too scared to respond, but the vampire continued speaking. 'I couldn't help but notice you walking alone. It's not safe for young girls like you to be out so late,' he said, a hint of mockery in his tone.

Scarlett's fear turned into anger as she realized she was being mocked. 'I can take care of myself,' she replied, trying to sound brave.

The vampire chuckled at her response. 'You may think so, but you have no idea what's lurking in the shadows. Trust me, it's not just vampires,' he said, looking at her intently.

Scarlett confused by his statement. 'What do you mean?' she asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.

The vampire looked at her with amusement, as if he knew something she didn't. 'You, my dear, are not just a mere human. You are half werewolf and half vampire,' he said, a smirk forming on his face.

She was taken aback by his words. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. 'That's impossible!' she exclaimed.

The vampire chuckled, shaking his head. 'Oh, but it's true. You have the strength and speed of a werewolf, but also the immortality and thirst for blood of a vampire,' he explained, his voice full of arrogance.

Scarlett couldn't wrap her head around this new information. She always knew she was different, but this was something else entirely. 'Why are you telling me this?' she asked, her voice trembling.

The vampire's expression turned serious. 'Because there is a war brewing between the vampires and werewolves. And you, as a hybrid, will have to choose sides about who to support,' he replied, his tone grave.

Scarlett was overwhelmed by this sudden turn of events. She had always thought she was a regular college student, but now she found out that she was part of a supernatural world she had never even heard of.

The vampire could sense her confusion and fear. 'Don't worry, I won't harm you. But you need to make a decision soon. The war is coming, and you don't want to be caught in the crossfire,' he said, before disappearing into the night.

Scarlett was left standing in the dark alley, trying to process everything that had just happened.
