Extra Chapter Two
"Be careful," They warn him. "The Devil's daughter is the most beautiful of all, but she hides a wicked soul behind those blue eyes."
"That's okay." He replied. "I fell in love with those eyes."
-Ziad Abdelnour
"Do you want to know what your daughter did today?" I ask Xavier, who instantly smirks up at me and takes Eliza from my arms.
"Oh so she's only my daughter now?" He asks sarcastically. "I didn't know I could do that by myself."
"Oh she's your daughter alright, especially when she starts biting people." I exclaim, throwing my hands in the air.
Both set of blue eyes blink up at me, one innocently and the other with amusement.
This is seconds before the Devil starts laughing at me.
"It's not funny!" I shout, startling Elle slightly -but with us as parent's she's used to random outbursts and continues to stare up at me.
Having two pairs of steady, observational eyes on me at the same time, that are the exact same color and seem to have the same knowledge- -even though one of them is six and the other is twenty nine- -is creepy.
And he calls me a creep.
"Come on," My husband teases me. "It's a little funny."
"No it's not." I grumble.
My Wolf boy raises a eyebrow, asking for permission, I nod and let him pull me into him.
"Ah," He says. "My two favorite people."
"I thought Jessie was your favorite person," I say smugly -having forced him yet again to be her fake boyfriend when a weird guy started hitting on her. "She is your girl, after all."
"She is not my girl," He growls. "You're my girl, she's just-" He shudders slightly. "I don't even know what she is."
"Are you talking about Aunt Jess?" Eliza asks, picking it up straight away from her dad's tone.
"Yeah Queen," He says, making my heart swell at her nickname. "I'm talking about your aunt."
"Isn't she human?" She asks.
I giggle lightly, stroking her hair back. "Yeah baby wolf, she's human."
"Are you mad at me Momma?" Elle asks, and she does it so innocently that my heart clenches. Xavier, having a much too sweet spot for our daughter, pouts right along with her.
"No, I just don't want you to bite the other kids." I explain, trying to be patient with her.
Having kids definitely expanded my patience levels.
Thankfully Alexander is at soccer practice -because compared to her brother Elle is the most behaved, quietest, loving little kid there is.
Which is saying a lot, because she got all of Xavier's cockiness, confidence, preferences, sharp teeth, temper and all of my sarcasm, defensiveness and sleeping habits.
The kid's gonna be a mess when she's older.
But Xander bounces around kicking a soccer ball and screams twenty four seven, he loves singing but sadly he inherited his Dad's voice.
We thought he'd get better with age, but after his ninth birthday this year we decided he just sucks at singing.
He is great at soccer, that he got from his Dad, then again when Elle play with him the only reason she doesn't win is because of her small frame.
"Why?" Elle asks quizzically, small hand flying up to the sharp teeth she inherited from her dad. That's what I get for naming her as a Wolf. "Daddy bites you."
Though she's six, and I know she can't mean anything from it, I find myself blushing anyway.
"We know Elle, but that's different." Xavier begins. "I bite Momma because I really like her and-"
"But I really like him." She interrupts him, pouting again, which makes both our heads snap down to him. "So does that mean I can bite him?"
"Is a guy she likes?" Xavier guffaws, biting his lip to stop himself from smirking in my direction. "That's amazing, what's his name."
"You're acting like your mom." I say, failing to hide my humor.
My husbands eyes bulge in horror at my comment, eyes snapping away from our daughter and to my face to see if I'm kidding.
I'm not, which only makes it worse as he groans.
Used to her Dad's antics Elle answers anyway. "I don't know."
"You don't know? Aw," The Devil says. "That sucks."
I send him a pointed look, which makes him gulp and mumbles under his breath.
And though I can't hear it I know none of it is good things, or should be repeated in front of our daughter.
She got his good hearing though, and looks up at him with a frown. "You want to what with a stick?"
Xavier starts to sputter, turning a little red.
"Nothing Elle," I tell her, sending her stupid dad a glare over her head. "He's just being a idiot."
To my Wolf boy's dismay she giggles at him, completely agreeing with me, which only makes him growl at us.
Then, taking us by complete surprise, she growls back.
"That was adorable." I whisper, watching as they both stare at each other then slowly grin.
Oh no.
They're both feral.
I have two alpha wolves in my house.
This won't end well.
My family.
Bah.
"So," My husband clears his throat. "His name?"
"Gold, I guess." She shrugs, tilting her head in the exact way Xavier does.
"Why gold, baby wolf?" I ask, raising a eyebrow at her.
Eliza smiles widely at this, showing off those dimples I love so much -sadly her brother didn't get these. "He wears gold shoes."
"That's weird." Xavier mumbles, and Elle is suddenly glaring at him. I stifle my laughter at the sight. "I mean -ah, gold shoes aren't common?"
Satisfied with this our daughter nods, almost to say 'better' before she climbs off of my Wolf boy's lap and scampers off into the library.
She's probably going to start reading again.
"Okay," I sigh. "Tomorrow's her birthday. Is the puppy still okay at Jessie's?"
"Yeah, no thanks to her. Cal's been the one taking care of it, Celeste is happier about us getting a puppy then we are." He says, scratching the back of his neck. "That thing looks just like Demon."
I giggle at this, the memory of the carnival all those years ago surfacing like I made it last week.
It doesn't feel like eleven years ago -but I know it was.
"Demon is a amazing wolf, one that I earned." I should have known what was going to happen when I said this, but I still squeaked in surprise when his hands clamp onto my shoulders and his sharp teeth bury into the crook of my neck.
My body tenses, locking in place as he holds my hips.
"Xavier," I warn, he digs deeper for a second before pulling away. I shoot from his grip, moving all the way across our living room. "It's a husky, right?"
"Half wolf, half husky. Black and grey, blue eyes. Just like you wanted."
"We can call it Luci." I squeal silently, clapping my hands.
"Calm down woman, it's just a dog and you just want to do that so when you scold it you can call him Lucifer." He grunts- -being absolutely correct- -swiping the Twizzlers bag of the counter before he begins to devour them.
I scowl at this, crossing my arms. "Nine years together and you're still a caveman."
"What happened to you last time we had this conversation." He says, pausing for a single moment to glance up at me before he goes right back to eating his food while leaning against the fridge.
A deep flush coats my cheeks.
Two things happened to me last time I called him a caveman, and took the time to prove the pre-evolution qualities he has.
Thing number one- I was sore for days.
Thing number two- Eliza.
"I think this is enough caveman talk for now..." I mumble, making him smirk deeply into his red candy. "Oh shut up."
"Or what? You'll bite me?" He asks, sarcastically of course.
But still, I stalk over to him and stand on my toes, pressing my lips on the one spot below his ear that instantly gets him riled up, before snapping my head up and clamping my teeth around his ear lope.
Below me my husband goes rigid, and I hear the bag crinkle as he clenches his fist around it. A second later I pull back, giving the mark a smug look.
"Yes," I nod. "I will."
"Oh you're getting it!" He growls, about to close the distance when Elle yells from the library.
"Momma can you read Beauty and the Beast to me?" She calls out, making me grin and take a step back.
"Duty calls," I wink at him. "Go pick up Xander from practice."
"I hate you." He grumbles. "So much."
"Hot and bothered are we?" I ask, giving him pants a once over, though he's has years to practice self control and uses it well.
"I am hot and you are bothering me, just not like that." The Devil snaps, crossing his arms like and upset kid. "Now I'm gonna go pick up our son from practice."
"Yeah, and that whole son situation definitely didn't come up because I bothered you 'in that way'." I snort, walking into the library with a wink over my shoulder. "Don't let the door hit you on the way out."
A single finger is my reply.
"From here Momma." Eliza says, pointing at a part in her book.
I smile at her, sitting down on the reading nook with a small kiss to her forehead. "Okay baby wolf, from here?" She nods as if it's the most important thing in the world -and to her it is.
'He feel into a despair and lost all hope...for who could ever learn to love beast?'
