Chapter Twenty-Eight
Why would I crawl out of hell when the Devil is such a heavenly lover? He bites my neck and suddenly I find myself not caring about the fire around us.
-Jessica Katoff
"I want to do a thing." Xavier says, moving from my side to where he was doing sit ups so he can be propped up over me like he's doing a push up.
The only reason he's letting me watch him work out was because he's still angry and apparently me, exercise and fighting people are his release. I suggested sparring with him, because that's something I can actually do, but he looked more murderous than usual at the thought.
Note to self, the Devil does not like fighting me when he's actually mad. He doesn't like fighting me at all.
Which sucks because we got our new schedule for this semester which means me, him and Carter have gym together.
Something Xavier was not happy about, simply because I refused to stop being Carter's gym partner -if I was my boyfriends then I'd get distracted and probably end up making out in the locker rooms every class.
With Carter I can be as competitive as I want, which I can't be with Xavier.
But it also is slightly annoying because this time we're doing combat and Carter doesn't know how to pull his punches to be effective but not damaging. More times than one when we did it with a sub he sent me sprawling a good few feet away.
This unit is going to hurt.
"Which is?" I giggle, biting my lip -too distracted to realize that distracts my Wolf boy too until he gives out a small indignant growl.
"If I'm working out, and letting you watch me," He gives me a stern look -having said before when I asked that it's weird to have someone stare at you like a creep while trying to stay fit. I definitely didn't mind, seeing as I'm the creep, but he did. "Then I get a reward."
"What's in it for me?" I ask, stopping myself from giggling again.
"Hmm, this." Xavier answers, bending into a actual push up and kissing my lips in the process. I actually giggle this time, pressing my hands into my stomach so I don't reach up and run my hands over my boyfriends very shirtless self. "Must you giggle?"
"Sorry." I say, managing to keep a straight face a second before I giggle again.
"Princess, seriously." My Wolf boy growls. "Stop giggling."
Knowing that wouldn't stop me he leans down, quickly covering my lips with his own before pulling away. I pout at the loss of contact, but then he bends back down and gives me another one.
"How many of these are you gonna do?" I ask, eyes solely focused on his chest. "Because I could get used to this."
"My girlfriends a creep," Xavier mumbles to himself before smirking down at me. "Hey Creepo, done staring?"
"Nope," I say, popping the 'p'. "It's part of my job as resident creep."
"You're so weird." He scrunches his nose, but leans down to kiss me none the less. "Still hot though."
"Careful Wolf, or I might think you just want me for my looks." I say, my eyes narrowing in warning as his smirk deepens and eyes glisten mischievously.
In this position I can feel his hell fire seep into me like a warm bath.
"Now Carter, don't get any ideas when I tell you this but..." He leans down to be able to speak against my lips. "You're beauty definitely helps."
"Not so bad looking yourself." I say, wrapping my arms around his neck so I can bury my hands in his classical black hair. He pulls away, bringing my bottom lip with him.
"Emma, can I touch you?" Xavier asks, eyes shining.
"You already are." I retort.
"Not like that." He says, eyes hooded and voice deeper than normal, I giggle again and nod with vigor.
Hell fire heats me from the inside out as he kisses me again, he manages to switch our positions so I'm on top him instead. In a instant my shirt is thrown across the room and the Devil moves his crushing grip from my hips, choosing to move them up and across my stomach and waist before resting on my lower ribs. "You're so small." He murmurs. "It's so weird."
"Way to kill the mood Xavier." I giggle, splaying my hands onto his large muscled chest. I've never been happier about abs in my life. "How that weird?"
"You're so small, like a third of my size and I can fit you under my arm. My hands can wrap around your waist completely and I love that, but then at the same time-" He pauses to move his hands down to my ass again, making goosebumps appear on my skin as a shiver runs through me. "I can't fit you in my hands."
"How is that weird? My body won't be the same size all the way around." I giggle again. "That's not how humans work."
"I know, but it's just shocking when I'm touching you to go from this," He move his hands to my hips, where his massive palms don't even cover a third of the room, to my waist where the completely encase my skin. "To this."
"I think you're being the weird one, my body is normal." I defend myself.
Xavier raises a eyebrow, almost challenging me. "Your body is not normal, you're curves are insane. Jessamine, she has a normal body. But you do not."
"Oh yeah," I decide to tease him. "How do you know about Jessie's perfectly normal body?"
"When you decided to force her on me as a fake girlfriend she made me pick her up." The Devil growls, obviously still mad about that.
At this point it's like I'm poking a bear, but I keep going because the stick's not broken yet.
"Fake? Pfft, what you had was real." I grin. "Ask anyone."
"Do you want me to get up, go upstairs to ask Cal and my Mom if they thought her being my fake girlfriend for a fifteen minute time frame looked real or do you want me to focus on our relationship and give you a kiss that I promise will have your toes curling?"
With a question like this, that made heart surge me, it is easy to see why we locked the basement door.
"A kiss should be, should be fine." I stammer, easily flustered.
Grabbing my ribs again my boyfriend smirks, lifting me off his body.
I squeak and grab his shoulders, wrapping my legs around him to stay stable as he stands and carries us both over to the couch.
Dropping us both on it I squeal before giggling as he lands pressed between my legs, sliding up my body so we're face to face.
I think he's about to kiss me, but then his head shoots past my lips and into my neck.
A loose moan comes from me as he begins right at my sweet spot, nipping it with my hips tight in his grip.
Xavier's lips continue to assault me, leaving marks up and down my skin and breathy gasps to come from me while my hands bury in his hair, keeping him against my skin.
He's still smirking, I can feel it.
After he's done, biting down into my sensitive neck before lifting up, I find it hard to open my eyes and struggle to do much else than take ragged breathes and kiss him.
And he did make a promise, my toes did curl as he kissed me.
Groaning lowly in the back of his throat makes me grin, my Wolf boy knowing how much I love that noise as I bite him back.
"Xavier..." I gasp against his lips. "I'm addicted to you."
He growls lowly, hips digging into my own as he kisses me even harder with a bruising force.
I think, just maybe, he might be addicted to me too.
Then, fucking then, my phone goes off from the table beside us.
"Fuck whoever that is." Xavier says, leaning back down to bite my lip again.
"Knowing you, you probably would." I say, giggling as he instantly pulls away and gives me a dark look. "What? Just saying, before we started dating you got around."
With a eye roll my lazy boyfriend collapses on me, flicking a hand out to grab my phone.
The look on his face is hilarious to say the least, and I just know it's either my cousin or best friend.
"Maybe I did, but definitely not with Jessie." He says, handing it to me. I called that one.
"What, you don't want to talk to her?" I ask, amusement filling my tone as he buries his head into my exposed stomach, sending a small butterfly kiss to the grey dragon hanging from my belly button piercing. He's so tall that one of his legs hangs over the end and one knee touches the floor but he seems comfortable enough using me as a bed. "She is your girl after all."
"She is not my girl. You're my girl. She's Cal's and I'd rather not look at her in that light." He says, sounding disgusted. "I might just barf."
"She's not that bad."
"Yeah asshole!" Jessamine screams through the speaker, startling Xavier since he didn't know I answered my best friend. "I'm not that bad."
"Whatever," He says, sounding cold as usual. "The fuck did you want anyway."
"Uh...I was, I needed -Emmeline we need to talk about that thing that you were questioning me about with the thing about you and Xavier and all that shit because I need help and I'm tired of you fucking lying to yourself so get up 'cause I'm about to sort this relationship out." She pauses. "Screw this man, Xavier get your ass up here we need to talk. Emma you're with Angel, don't even think you can get out of this. You did this to our drunk asses, now it's time we return the favor."
I frown, glancing down to a confused Xavier.
Good thing we're in the same boat.
"But we're already dating. That's all we did for you." I point out, hearing her scoff on the other side.
"Emma that isn't what I'm talking about and you know it." Jessamine says.
It takes a second for it to click in me and then I turn bright red, my whole body squirming because of embarrassment.
You made me love you.
I can't love him. Love can't happen that fast.
Love can happen that fast.
I made him love me.
Fuck.
Fuck.
Double fuck.
That's four of them and it's still not strong enough.
