Naira's POV

I ordered a cranberry vodka, this guy is infuriating, I want to avoid him so badly, but he's present everywhere, fucking everywhere. I felt a shadow behind me, and I closed my eyes slightly to control myself from throwing another comment, I'm very familiar with his smell and aura, I shouldn't be though.

He took a seat beside me and ordered himself some whiskey.

" What are you doing here?" I asked as sipped on my drink

" Getting a drink" he shrugged as the bartender offered him his drink

" Wow and I thought you were stalking me" I said

" Don't get too ahead of yourself princess" he said with a smirk, he used my own line against me.

I so want to stab him with a fork that was kept beside me in a stand.

" What are doing back here? " He asked

" It's my home, I can come and go however I please" I said

There was suddenly some commotion, a girl has thrown wine on other's girl white dress. That beautiful dress was covered in red stain forever, and suddenly a memory flashed before my eyes, red hands, I couldn't breath, I tried to control my emotions but I was not good at it.

Kartik's focus shifted from the commotion towards me, when I gasped for breath

" Let's go out" he simply said as he held my hand and pulled me outside, I didn't protest, as I couldn't think right now.

When we reached the gardens outside and settled on a bench, he passed me a bottle of water, when did he pick it up?

I looked at him suspiciously

He let out a small laugh, " it's not poisoned"

" I never said that" I replied back as I opened the bottle

" Your expressions said something else" he pointed out

" Expressions can be misleading" I said

" Expressions are the only truest form, and those who learnt to manipulate it, they're the most dangerous person in the world" he said

Only Kartik D'Angelo' can say something deep with such a straight face, no hint of emotion.

" That means you're dangerous" I said

" Not to you princess, but to all the people around you" he whispered the last part in my ear and before I could process, I heard Nick.

" Naira!!" Nick shouted as he came towards me

" You ok?" He asked

" Ya I'm fine, it was just getting too stuffy in there" I said

" These events can be overwhelming " Kartik stated

" Thankyou for looking after her" Nick said to Kartik

Was he babysitting me??!! All this time? Fucker.
