Naira's POV

We entered a big hall which had a kitchen and a drawing room with a big tv, there were huge windows and the sunlight was pouring in from them, making the whole hall look magnificent. I noticed Nick was going upstairs as he asked me to stay back. The designs and everything looked so royal and modern at the same time, I was looking at the ceiling and when I turned around, I collapsed into something.

I was about to fall on the ground when I felt something pulling me back, I opened my eyes slowly and saw an arm snaked around my waist, and then I noticed him, he was looking intently at me, his blue eyes were something else, but I suddenly had a reality check and I pushed him, he didn't resist.

" Watch where you going princess" he said with a monotone voice and then went towards the stairs

" I'm no princess" I shouted back

" Well your brother runs around calling himself a prince" he smirked a little and then returned to his stone cold expression as his eyes lingered on me, but then he went away

Damn you, Nick, seriously? Prince? I knew girls liked him a lot, he used to tell me about his dates on the phone but this? He's embarassing sometimes.

I looked at Kartik, he was wearing a light white shirt with some black pants and a silver chain shined, which was partly hidden by the collar, his hair tousled back unlike the last time when they were messy, Kartik suddenly stopped and looked back at me. I avoided his gaze and went to the garden.

IGNORE HIM!! That's the only way, he's dangerous for you, remember the last time you liked somebody? Well that didn't end good, you can't trust them. I took a deep breath and walked back to the car, I'm not spending one more minute in this house.

After we returned home, we went to the dinning hall for dinner, and I saw dad sitting there already, Nick and I took our seats on either side of dad,as he sat on the head chair. Our dinner was served and we ate in silence.

" Tomorrow's there's an event, Naira I also want you to join us" dad said

" Event? Umm sure" I said, he nodded and then left the table

" What type of event is this?" I asked

" Just one of those business events, where deals are made, money is exchanged but at the front it looks like a lavish party, so many top business men will be there" Nick replied looking at his phone

" And that annoying friend of yours too? He seemed to earn well" the words rolled out of my tongue before I could process them

Nick chuckled, " he's the youngest and the richest ceo, he's not an ordinary person " he said, not paying attention to my words much.
