Kartik's POV

Taking a trip during the weekend, cost me a lot of time. So when I returned, I was so focused on work that I forgot to thank Naira for that time and it looks like she has became quieter after the trip. Did something happen? That night she was literally scolding me for jumping in the swimming pool.

I was in the car driving home, when Nick called me.

" Where are you?" He asked hurriedly

" Just driving back home" I replied

" Is Naira still in the  office?" He asked

" No, everyone left already, why? " I asked again

" According to the gps, her car and her phone are still in the office, she's not receiving my calls" he shouted the last part worriedly

What the hell is he talking about, I suddenly made a U-turn, and sped to the office.

" I'll check, don't worry" I tried to assure him, but even I'm not feeling good about this

No sooner I reached the office, I ran to the lift and then to her cabin, her phone was there, but she was not. I was just going to the CCTV room, when Nick called and told me that Naira is in the hospital, she herself called him.

When I reached the hospital, I thought Nick would be worried sick or something like that but when I entered her room, there was tension.

" Are you alright?" I asked her ignoring the tension

She just nodded.

" What happened?" I asked both of them, that is when Nick handed me a crumpled slip. It was written,
" Your lover, belle"

" What does this mean, and isn't that french?" I said examining the slip

" Apparently, this guy sneaked into the office and carried a fainted Naira to the hospital, and there is something my dear sister is not telling me" Nick said frustratingly looking at Naira, who avoided eye contact

No sooner I heard this, I texted my team to pull up the recordings.

" If I haven't seen this note, she would've never told me anything, and it's not like she tells anything anyways" Nick shouted and then left the room angrily

Naira looked guilty.

" Don't worry, he'll be fine, but you should really talk about this" I said pointing at the note

" It's dangerous, he's dangerous. I don't want anyone to hurt people close to me" she said

She really doesn't know who's dangerous, I chuckled internally

" What if I tell you that there's something more dangerous than him, and it can protect you " I said looking at her keenly

" You're not making sense" she looked confused

" Oh it will, sweetheart" I replied
