Naira's POV

My head, it seems like I've been hit with something hard and since when my blanket smells like a masculine perfume. I forcibly opened my eyes and looked around, this is not my room, this is not even my house. I immediately got out of the bed but a wave of nausea hit me and I held the wall to support myself.

I took a deep breath to calm myself down and went towards the door, the structure of the house looked familiar.

" You're up" came a deep voice from behind and I shouted until a hand was pressed against my mouth and I was pinned to the wall by someone i.e. Kartik...what?

" Why the fuck did you shout " he asked

I pushed my, " what am I doing here?" I asked as I folded my hands to look more authoritative, which was clearly not working on Kartik.

" You don't remember princess" Kartik chuckled, " I'm off to office, my driver will drop you, bye" he added that extra sweet bye as if taunting me, I normally don't have a blackout, it would take sometime to remember everything.

When I was on my desk in the office, I suddenly remembered, everything. The drink, and then how I grabbed his tie, which can be easily mistaken for something else. And did I kiss him??!!!

" NAIRA!!!" Stella's voice bought me out of my thoughts

" What?" I simply asked

" If you don't want to work, I can easily ask the team leader to remove you" she said as she tossed some files on my desk

" Worried? That I might do better than you?" I smirked, she's just more experienced than me, and she harasses me like I'm one of her subordinate.

" What did you say??" She glared at me and gave a fake laugh

" You heard me, these files are not mine, we have our work clearly divided, so you take them " I picked up the files and pushed the files onto her, but she didn't lift her hands to support them, so they fell on the floor as I walked away.

I didn't know where to go after causing the scene, so I went to Kartik's office, he looked amused.

" What?" I asked, already annoyed with everything

" You look cute and..." he said out of nowhere

" And what?...you also think that I'm some spoilt rich bitch...huh?..." I was on the edge today

" Hey, hey, who said that" suddenly Kartik was infront of me kneeling as he held my hands

My vision started to blur, as tears dropped from my eyes.

" I don't know, but words hurt me a lot, I know you might say, that I should not care, but I fucking care, and I hate it, I'm sorry" I said the last part as I noticed that my tears were falling on his hand, and I tried to wipe it, but he held them more tightly and caressed them.

" Come here" he lead me to the couch and then sat beside me, my head was on his shoulder as he wrapped me with his hand, and used the other hand to pour some water.

" Nobody should ask you to do that, if it hurts you, then it does, there doesn't have to be reason for it, ok?" He said as he handed me the glass

I nodded and took the glass, when her secratary came in, I noticed Kartik signalling her something, after that she went out immediately.

" And I'm sorry for yesterday too, for everything" I said as I wiped my face

" Everything?" Kartik said looking at me intently

" Ya you have to pick me up out of nowhere and then literally carried me to your house" I said leaving out the last part intentionally

" Umm it's ok" he looked confused for a minute but then his face went back to his poker face.

" You should take the day off" he said and I nodded as I got up to leave his office

" And Naira I'll do anything for you" those were the last words he said, I looked back and gave a tight smile and went out.
