CHAPTER 19

The Traveler's Map didn't lie. Quantomania is by far the wildest inter-dimensional journey that has ever existed. All Lance and Madeline saw during this wild ride was blue, blinding light, and they literally felt like they were spinning in a high-speed, full-powered washing machine that was at maximum power.

- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

Madeline and Lance screamed all the way, as much as they could, begging everyone and everything for this crazy trip to finally end. And it did.

Suddenly, at least for those on the other side of Quantomania, they saw a flash of light appear in space, followed by a strange sound. On the lower levels of Coruscant, people unaware of what was about to happen were live their lives, when suddenly out of nowhere a flash of light appeared and two people were thrown out of the flash of light at high speed.

Lance and Madeline were thrown out of Quantomania with a scream and hit hard against some wall or building wall. People who were close to the incident shouted in fright and looked shocked at their sudden appearance.

Lance coughed. - Yeah.... This is by far the worst trip through the portal I've had to deal with others.... Never again!

Madeline groaned and rubbed her head, feeling a growing bump. - I fully agree with you... It was awful.

Lance fell on the concrete with his back, trying to control the pain that resulted from the hard impact against the wall. People and... some other aliens looked at them in a frozen state, even kids.

The blond opened his eyes after a moment and looked upside down at the people who were staring at them. His eyes widened slightly and he poked his traveling companion.

- What?

-... I think we're there, look.

Madeline turned her head to where he was looking and gasped. It was a very interesting place and people were still staring. Her other half, wolf alter ego woke up and the girl growled.

- What are you people looking at? Don't you have other things to do? Get lost!

People panicked at her behavior and quickly walked away from them. Lance looked at Mad with raised eyebrows in surprise. - Well, well, well... Could it be that your nice side has finally let go?

- Shut up, Richmond. Ouch... my body hurts. - Madeline groaned in pain as she slowly stood up and grabbed her back.

- What wonder, after all, we hit the wall with superhuman speed! They could have at least warned us! - Lance also groaned and got up from the ground, brushing his armor from the dust.

- Did you get everything? - Madeline asked as she checked her bag.

Lance looked in his bag and checked to make sure he had everything. - There is everything. Do you have the map?

Madeline pulled the Traveler's Map out of her bag and smiled at Lance. - Of course I have it! Okay... Direction, Jedi Order.

- Well... Tell it to show us the way to those Jedi. - Lance waved his hand and combed his hair.

Madeline nodded and unrolled the map. - The Traveler's Map, show me the way to.... Jedi Order?

The Traveler's Map began to glow a golden color and a sketch began to appear. Lance walked closer to Madeline and looked at the map himself. After a while, the full map showed with a pink and white dot. In the corner of the map appeared a red point, to which a red dashed line led.

- I think those tiny dots are us. - Lance said, pointing his finger at the dots.

- I agree and the red one is where we find the Jedi. Well... What are we waiting for? Let's get moving!

- You read my mind.

-----

After some two hours of walking through various alleys, train rides and other unnecessary things needed to get to the higher levels of the city, Madeline and Lance finally made it to the surface.

Now they both had a full view of a very huge city and a large building in the center of the city. Lance and Madeline looked around in amazement.

Lance whistled under the impression. - So, this is the whole Coruscent thing. The murderous ride had worked after all.

Madeline looked at the map and noticed that the red point on it had grown larger and was pointing north. - Now we have to go straight all the way.... To that big building in front of us.

Lance looked far ahead and saw a huge building in the distance. An expression of pain appeared on his face and he groaned. - SO FAR AWAY!!? We'll be walking there for a million years!!

A/N: But honestly, who would want to walk that far? I would have given up right away.

Madeline furrowed, before looking over her shoulder at Aspheera's scepter, which she had behind her back. A mischievous smile appeared on her face.

- We may not have to go there.

- What then, how do you want to get there?

- Let's use... Way of magic.

Lance furrowed confused, and Madeline sighed and rolled her eyes. She folded up the map and handed it to the boy, and she pulled out Aspheera's scepter.

- Ah! Aspheera's staff...! But you don't know how to use it after all.

- (Y/N), she did it with ease, it shouldn't be so difficult. Unless you want to go such a distance to this temple?

- Absolutely not! Use this magic stick and teleport us!

-----

And that was another bad idea, admittedly it worked, but Madeline and Lance forgot what teleportation causes. A great feeling of vomiting. Lance turned green on his face and Madeline almost fell over because of the dizziness.

- Oh brother.... It was even worse than that Quantomania! I'm serious! - Lance groaned and took a deep breath.

- I forgot about the side effects of teleportation.... This... Shit... - Madeline put her hand on her forehead, waiting for the dizziness to stop.

- As soon as we get home, I'm never touching magic again, I swear! - Lance shook his head. - But... The plus side is that we're already there.

Madeline looked at the building a few meters in front of them and the huge door inside, sighed and looked at her friend. - Let's go in there. - She tucked the scepter back behind her back and adjusted her clothes.

As the two members of the League of Heroes approached the tall building ( which, up close, looked like it had no end) there were guards standing at the door, who almost immediately became animated at the sight of the strangers.

- You there! Halt! -  yelled one of the guards and pulled a weapon from his belt and ignited a laser sword with two yellow glowing blades.

Lance yelled and hid behind Madeline, grabbing her by the shoulders. Madeline snorted at his coward and rolled her eyes.

- Don't shoot! - Lance called out to the guards, who approached them with a quick step. - We are here on state business.

- Who was supposed to protect who here? That I'm supposed to be the little girl who can't handle it? - Madeline whispered to him.

- Silence please. They have weapons and look like these.... Poker faces. - He whispered back to her and swallowed.

- What business do you have coming here, strangers? - the same guard demanded.

Madeline straightened up, trying to look dignified. - We request a meeting with Master Yoda and the Jedi Order. We have urgent news to convey from the High Princess (Y/N) and High Prince Aaron Fox.

The guards looked at each other with unreadable expressions on their faces. They looked at the newcomers and switched off their blades.

- Please follow me. However, you will be under the watchful eye of the Temple Guards until the end of your visit. - the guard said.

Madeline sighed and nodded. - That's nice of you.

The guardian grunted and turned to lead the newcomers inside the temple. The guards took them inside and led them through a mass of corridors and elevators until they stopped in front of a large door.

Lance was panting loudly with fatigue and wiped the sweat from his forehead. - They didn't make more those stairs?

- Keep quiet. Wait here for the summon. - The guard ordered, before opening the door and stepping inside.

Madeline and Lance looked at each other.

- Now... Who will speak to them? - He asked.

- Me. You're too... unconventional.

Lance made a sound of indignation, but he didn't have time to answer, because the door opened and the guardian came out. He looked at Lance and Madeline.

- Master Yoda and the Jedi Order wants to see you.... Good luck, strangers. - He added and moved out of the way to the door.

- Thanks... - Lance replied surprised. He looked at Madeline, who sighed and allowed herself a small nervous smile.

- Let's hope they agree to help us.

- Yeah, because otherwise we're doomed. Do you think they'll even believe us?

- I don't know, but... this is about everyone's safety. Even theirs. - she nodded at the door.

Lance took a deep breath. - So what? Let's do it.

- Yeah. Let's do it. - Madeline muttered and with a determined push of the big door, she and Lance stepped inside.
