CHAPTER 24

(Val POV)

Jay drives while I ride shotgun with Carlos and Lonnie in the back. We get back to the Isle and I hop out of the limo followed by the others. Mal and Evie are there waiting on us.

"I'll get the swords," Jay tells.

"Okay," I say. Carlos and Jay walk to the trunk while Lonnie and I walk over to Mal and Evie.

"Oh, Lonnie!" Mal says as they hug.

"I made them bring me," Lonnie replies.

"Oh, I'm so glad," Mal says.

"You didn't make me do anything," I joke as she hugs Evie.

"Hi. Welcome to the Isle. It's good to see you," Evie says.

"Thanks," Lonnie says as I walk over to the boys. Jay grabs the sword and we find Dude.

"And Dude," Jay states.

"I told you to stay," Carlos says.

"I flunked obedience class," Dude explains.

"Great. And he can still talk," Jay says and I slightly slap his arm.

"You're lucky I love you. Come on," Carlos says as he picks Dude up before setting him on the ground. Jay closes the trunk before throwing an arm around my shoulders as we head to the others.

"Ooh. Here, let me see," Mal says as Carlos hands her the wand. "Wow, what a beauty." Mal hands it back to Carlos.

"It's noon," Jay states.

"All right. Are we ready?" I ask.

"Yeah," Evie answers as she holds up Mal's bag.

"Let's do this," I say and we head towards the tunnel.

"Stay! I mean it," Carlos tells Dude.

(3rd Person POV)

"Hey, guys! They're here!" Gil calls from the crow's nest on the ship as Mal, Val, Jay, Evie, Lonnie, and Carlos walk out of the tunnel.

"Welcome!" Harry calls out.

"Finally!" Uma says. Mal and Val stand on the other side of the bridge that leads to the ship. Evie and Jay stand on the upper level while Carlos and Lonnie stand on the walk-way behind Mal and Val.

"Let's get this party started

I swear I'm cold hearted

There's no negotiation

I'm not here for debatin'

You need some motivation?

Just look at Ben's face, then ask yourself

How long you think

I'll remain patient

I'll throw him overboard

And let him swim with killer sharks

You either hand over the wand, or he'll be ripped apart" Uma sings as her crew dances and Harry walks Ben out onto the plank.

"Now let's all just be smart

Although for you, that must be hard

No one has to come to any harm" Mal sings.

"Don't try to intimidate

Your bark is much worse than your bite

Who's the baddest of them all?" Val sings as she and Mal share a smirk.

"I guess we're finding out tonight" Val and Mal sing together.

"Let's go, bring it on

Better give us what we want

It's the wand for the crown

If you don't, it's going down" Uma and her crew sings and dances.

"Let's go, make your move

Peace or war, it's up to you

Give him up and do it now

If you don't, it's going down" Val, Mal, Evie, Carlos, Jay, and Lonnie sing and dance. Lonnie, Carlos, Evie, and Jay pound their fists on the railings. Jay and Evie swing to the walk-way that Carlos and Lonnie are on.

"We want the wand, or else the king is gone

Your time is running out

You should really watch your mouth" Uma and her crew sings and dances. Harry holds a pocket watch in front of Ben's face.

"Let's go, pound for pound

We're prepared to stand our ground

Put your swords up

Put 'em up, it's going down" The VK's and Lonnie sing. Carlos and Lonnie join Val and Mal in front of the bridge.

Or walk the plank!" Uma and her crew sing. Uma taps her sword on either side of the bridge. Harry turns Ben around to face him. Jay and Evie join the others. Mal and Val turn to face them before they all share a nod. Mal and Val then turn back around.

"Okay, look, this is not a conversation

It's a do-or-die situation" Val sings.

"If you don't give me back the king

I'll have no hesitation

I'll serve you right here

And I don't need a reservation

That way your whole "pirate crew"

Can have a demonstration" Mal sings as Harry walks over and joins Uma.

"Release him now

And we can go our separate ways

Unless you want to deal with us and the VKs" Val and Mal sing at the same time.

"So that's your big speech, huh?

An empty ultimatum?" Uma sings as she looks at Harry.

"All it takes is one swing, and I'll humiliate him!

Matter of fact, make one wrong move

And I'll debilitate him

And if he even starts to slip, I'll eliminate him

All it takes is one wrong look and I'll..." Harry sings as he walks up to Val. Jay comes to stand behind Val not like how close he was getting. Harry takes his hook and trails it down the side of Val's face.

"Harry, we get it. Chill." Uma says as she drags Harry back. Harry blows Val a kiss before Jay drags her and Mal back.

"Let's go, bring it on

Better give us what we want

You should really watch your mouth" Uma and her crew sings as Harry goes back to the plank with Ben. The crew makes a circle with their swords while Uma and Gil use their swords to act the hands of a clock.

"Let's go pound for pound

We're prepared to stand our ground

Put 'em up, it's going down" The VK's and Lonnie sing and dance. Lonnie and Jay end up in the back with Carlos and Evie being behind Mal and Val. Carlos hands Mal the wand and she starts walking forward.

"Hey, we don't have to choose

We don't have to light the fuse

Mal, whatever you do, it's gonna be a lose-lose

There's got to be a better way

Uma, I promise

I'll give you your chance

You'll have your say" Ben starts singing which makes Mal stop walking.

"Silly king, you give me?

You're gonna give me a chance?

Well, not a chance!" Uma sings.
