A Bunch Of Shit

Adryn woke up to the sound of her phone's alarm going off. It was 7 am. She for a moment wondered where she was and why she was waking up to her alarm. She realized what was going on and quickly turned off her alarm before climbing out of bed. Nearly falling over, Adryn found her contacts and put them in. She changed into normal clothes, which were shorts and a tank top before brushing her hair. Being done now, Adryn left her bedroom to see Jaehyun leaning against the wall next to her door.

"Oh, good morning, Jaehyun," Adryn muttered, still a little sleepy.

"Good morning." Jaehyun smiled at her, but the smile put her on edge. "Can we talk before you go off to Taeyong?"

"Sure," Adryn nodded her head and then followed Jaehyun as he walked off. They headed to the medical room and once in there, Jaehyun motioned for Adryn to take a seat. Adryn sat down as Jaehyun sat down next to her.

"So, what are you thinking about our group so far?"

"The gang seems like a great family and I'm happy that pretty much everyone is so welcoming to me."

"Do you plan on dating Taeyong?" Jaehyun's question caused Adryn to pause for a moment.

"Well... I haven't known him long enough so I don't know him that well, but he seems like a good guy so... maybe?"

"Taeyong is a killer, but he only kills people who deserve it. Still, though, he's killed people before, so does that really make him a good guy?"

"He has a darker side, but doesn't everyone?" Jaehyun nodded his head to Adryn's words, seemingly accepting that.

"Do you think you could handle bloodshed? Can you handle fighting for your life?"

"I'm not fond of blood, I'll admit that, but I have killed someone before. I stabbed a man and there was a lot of blood involved there. So... I might be alright with it?" Adryn wasn't sure, and Jaehyun could tell. "However, I'm more worried about my physical and mental strength. I know I can work on both though..."

"Taeyong did say something about you needing medications for your bipolar disorder."

"Yeah, I need medications, but I'm not sure what I need anymore. My emotions and situations have changed."

"I'll check into something for you and get back to you about it."

"Thank you, Jaehyun, I really appreciate that. Are there any more questions for me?"

"...I'm worried for you. Adryn, you don't seem like you're understanding everything involved with being part of a gang and being with a gang member, specifically our leader."

"Jaehyun, I don't mean to sound rude, but can you stop assuming that I'll end up with Taeyong?"

"I'm sorry, but I just think you two would be a good match for each other. I'm rooting for you." Adryn frowned at Jaehyun's words but nodded her head at the same time.

"I think we're a good match too..."

"Would you like to watch a mission before fully joining the gang?"

"Huh?" Adryn tilted her head to the side, confused.

"You wouldn't be in any danger. Taeyong won't allow you on a mission yet, so you'd be in the control center during the mission. There are cameras there watching the area you can watch and you'll be able to hear everything going on through earpieces."

"Alright then."

"Great! I've already set it up with Ten for our next mission. Our next mission just happens to be an hour after breakfast."

"Oh..." Adryn was hit with a wave of anxiety as she frowned suddenly. Jaehyun watched as Adryn started to shake. She then took a deep breath and the shaking slowly stopped. Jaehyun studied her face as Adryn drained herself of all emotion.

"How can you stop all your emotions like that?"

"Throughout my whole life, I've had to learn how to do that so I don't react in situations that would make it worse for me or for others around me."

"What kind of family life did you have?" However, before Adryn could respond to Jaehyun, Taeyong walked into the room.

"Jaehyun, why are you taking so long? I texted you about 5 minutes ago?" Taeyong was a mix of concerned and annoyed. Jaehyun smiled at Taeyong though, feeding into his annoyance.

"I just wasn't ready to give up my time with Adryn yet." Jaehyun teased Taeyong, making him frown instantly. Adryn stood up right away and turned to Jaehyun.

"We'll have to talk more later. Talking about my family would just upset me right now and make me not hungry anymore." Adryn spoke to Jaehyun, but this worried Taeyong.

"What kind of questions have you been asking her?" Taeyong asked Jaehyun, ready to fight him over possibly upsetting Adryn.

"It wasn't too bad of a conversation, don't worry about it."

"Adryn will be listening in and watching over us today with Ten." Jaehyun ignored the annoyed look on Taeyong's face as he spoke.

"What is the mission about anyway?" Adryn asked Taeyong, but he just took her hand and pulled her along with him.

"We can talk about that later," Taeyong muttered before shooting a glare at Jaehyun, who just smiled back at him. Taeyong then guided Adryn to the dining room, where she and Taeyong sat down next to each other. Jaehyun had followed after them and sat next to Johnny and Mark. Not everyone was there at the dining table though. It seemed like it was only the members of 127 and herself and Ten who were there. Taeyong saw the confusion on her face though. "Only 127 is going on the mission, so everyone else is sleeping in, other than yourself and Ten."

"I'll be watching over everyone with you, just to make sure nothing goes wrong today." Ten mentioned to the still confused woman. Adryn just nodded her head in understanding.

Everyone had already been given food, so after that, they all ate. After eating, mostly everyone dispersed to go and get ready for the mission. Taeyong paid no mind to anyone else, he merely took a hold of Adryn's hand and pulled her along with him. He brought her to his bedroom and sat her down on a chair at his desk.

"Just sit here with me, alright? I want you to be here for me." Taeyong told Adryn as he moved to his closet to start getting ready.

"I can do that," Adryn muttered simply as she looked around his bedroom. Taeyong's walls were pale pink, he had a normal king-sized bed with black bedding and a just as normal desk too. It made him seem almost normal like he wasn't a leader of a gang. "So, what exactly is this mission about?"

"127 is to break into a compound of another group. This group is heavily involved with drugs and sex trafficking. We're to rescue anyone in need and neutralize the leaders of the group. That's in hopes the gang will be crippled and they'll stop what they are doing. If not, we'll kill everyone eventually."

"Oh, lovely..." Adryn nodded her head as Taeyong turned to her with a completely black outfit. Adryn decided to get up and peek into his closet, only to see everything black with the exception of one red outfit. "Why did you take so long finding clothes, when everything is black?" Taeyong chuckled at her words before responding to her.

"While everything is mostly the same, I want to change things up every so often," Taeyong admitted making Adryn chuckle at his ridiculousness. Taeyong took this moment to set his clothes down on the bed and approach Adryn. He took both her hands in his and looked deep into her eyes. "This mission is going to be dangerous. There's going to be a lot of killing and fighting. Will you be alright with that?"

"This is going to be the test to see if I can even think of handling something like that."

"Alright..." Taeyong sighed as he spoke, but it wasn't about Adryn being unsure.

"Is everything okay?"

"I'm nervous... I just... There's something putting me on edge. I'm not sure what it is yet though."

"Do you think something is going to go wrong?" To Adryn's question, Taeyong shrugged his shoulders. Adryn stepped a step closer to Taeyong, holding his hands tightly to reassure him. "Ten and I will be watching over you. I'll be your good luck charm for the mission." Adryn smiled at Taeyong, which brought out a smile on his face as well.

"Thank you. That makes me feel a little better." Adryn just pouted at his words though. She didn't like that it was only a little better.

"I have something that should make you feel a lot better," Adryn muttered to Taeyong, before pressing her lips against his cheek. She then released his hands and literally ran out of the room. "I'll see you after you've changed!" Adryn yelled out as she slammed Taeyong's door shut. She then booked it away and practically ran to the kitchen to get some water. Adryn walked into the kitchen to see Mark just standing there, staring into the refrigerator. "Mark? You good?" This startled the blond man, causing him to slam the door. He spun around instantly to see Adryn's face, completely red.

"Are you good?" Mark retorted back at her causing her to blush deeper.

"I uh... I had an interesting conversation with Taeyong just now..."

"I don't think I want to know what that means..."

"It probably isn't what you're thinking..." Adryn and Mark then stood there for a moment, just thinking about the possibilities of what the other was thinking.

"So, you're going to be with Ten today for the mission?" Mark asked, breaking their awkward silence.

"Yeah."

"Things might go badly today, or they'll go perfect. Either way, you should expect someone to come out wounded."

"What?" Adryn frowned at Mark, prompting him to explain himself.

"While we're professionals, accidents happen. Especially when people are on drugs, and this gang most definitely is on drugs."

"Why are you all doing this if they're so dangerous?" Mark shrugged his shoulders at Adryn's words before responding to her.

"It's what we do..." Mark sounded so hurt then. This made Adryn feel horrible for him, so she walked right up to him and wrapped her arms around him. Mark froze instantly and remained still until she pulled away. "What was that about?"

"You just looked like you needed a hug," Adryn admitted to Mark, not really understanding why she did that as well.

"As much as I appreciated that, you should keep your hugs for Taeyong." Mark then shot Adryn a sad smile before leaving the room. Adryn was left standing there, confused and hoping that she didn't upset Mark. She then shook that off, grabbed a drink from the refrigerator, and turned to see Taeyong standing there with an intense look on his face.

"What's up?" Adryn asked Taeyong, but he didn't verbally reply to her. He just approached her and pulled her into a hug. Adryn returned his hug and smiled at him.

"I don't like seeing you hug another man, but thank you Adryn. I think Mark really did need a hug at that moment." Taeyong spoke quietly to Adryn as he held her. He then pulled away and smiled at her. "It's time for 127 to get going, so I'll take you to Ten now."

"Alright," Adryn nodded her head and followed after Taeyong to the back of the house. They walked into a room full of technology, confusing Adryn. She was able to identify computers and monitors but there were things in there she wasn't even sure about. She then noticed that Ten was seated at a large desk. He turned around as they walked into the room.

"Hey, Adryn, Taeyong." Ten greeted them with a smile on his face. Adryn smiled back at him. "You can sit here with me, alright Adryn?" Ten pulled a chair to him for the woman. Before Adryn could go and sit down though, Taeyong grabbed her hands and looked at her with a worried expression.

"Wish me good luck."

"Good luck, Taeyong," Adryn replied right away with a smile on her face. This seemed to satisfy Taeyong as he returned her smile before leaving the room. Ten then got up from his seat and locked the door. There were multiple locks for the incredibly thick door, which worried Adryn. However, she put that out of her mind as Ten returned to his head, patting the chair next to him. "Ten? How do you think things will go?"

"Everything should be fine unless something unexpected happens."

"That response doesn't really help to calm my nerves..." Ten couldn't help but laugh at her response, before patting her shoulder.

"Believe in Taeyong and the others."

"I have a hard time with that since so many people in my life have shown me to not believe in people..."

"Taeyong and the others will change your mind."

"Good luck with that..." Adryn frowned at Ten. She didn't believe much that anyone could change her thoughts on people. She wasn't sure if that was even possible, but even so, Adryn was willing to try. She finally felt ready to try to change her mindset. Not just for herself though, but for Taeyong and her new family as well.
