a note from me to you
It has always been my dream ever since I was young to write a book. To compose something so simple with chapters, paragraphs, and words that I could call my own and look at and say, 'Yes. This is mine'.
But now I know making a book is not as simple as a jumble of words.
It is a journey. A journey of character.
Of not only the fictional people I create, but of myself also. A journey is only as exciting as it is tedious. As treacherous as it is adventurous. As boring as it is thrilling. A journey is comprised of many things, but it is no fun without the people you drag along the way with you. And what is a journey if lessons are not learned? These two things, in my opinion, are what makes a good journey.
I'd like to thank my brothers for such a scathing instructional and enlightening perspective they have brought to the table, and without them I fear this book would most definitely have been worse than it would be today.
I'd like to thank HSG for giving me support where I didn't even know was needed. And for putting up with me. That most of all. Thank you, HSG.
And I thank you, whoever you are, for taking time out of your day to read this. It is because of audiences like you that this entire medium exists. If it were not for you, where would we be?
So please, don't be a stranger, and tell me what you thought of this book. What you liked, disliked, and absolutely abhorred with your entire being. (I'm sure there were a few.) I don't mind painfully truthful criticisms, as long as they are constructive as well.
I've said this enough.
I'll say it again.
Thank you.
And Merry Christmas to all.
