Chapter 12
"Welcome back my listeners, to The Denver Chronicles podcast. This is officially episode one. For starters, I need to reiterate how life altering this podcast is for me. If you don't personally know my story, it's ok. All you do need to know is how dedicated I am to pursuing the truth and getting it out there, to all of you. The past few days have been nothing but research and in person interviews. I've unearthed quite a few leads which I'll share with you tonight."
Charlotte was in her element. Exactly what she lived for, the excitement was palpable. She had spent the entire rest of the day in her hotel room ,researching and sorting out her thoughts onto notecards. The words poured out of her, as if a tap had been turned on. Her energy had never been higher.
"The ancient multi pointed star symbol, was first discovered from earliest written records in ancient Mesopotamia. It was regarded as a sacred symbol, one that could be used to summon gods. In ancient Egypt, it was seen as a portal key to ancient aliens. This symbol also has something to do with DIA. Evidence for its link is coming, I am going to find out why."
She took a great risk by bringing it up on the podcast, knowing that Zach and undoubtedly the organization behind him were listening. Josh included. But she felt that her average listeners needed to know. The more people knew, the less likely it was she could be hurt by the group. Shining a spotlight on crime so to speak.
"Here's a few personal pictures I took while researching a film in Egypt. Notice the star. This is what I have seen in the interior of the airport. It is believed that this symbol in modern times links back to ancient civilizations, though that link isn't substantiated."
She flashed on the screen a few shots of the pointed star from an Egyptian temple. This was merely to hook the listener in. She hadn't gathered photographic proof yet from under the airport.
"The star is vital I feel but there's more to dig up. What I have next to show you is definitive proof that the airport is harboring secrets. I was given a copy of the original blueprints, from when the new airport was being built. It is the last version, no other exists."
Linking in pictures of the map Zach had given her, she also held up a copy for the viewers. Having an online podcast had this advantage. It wasn't merely her voice.
"As you can see, it's a massive airport. Focus on the runways, look at how many there are. There's five. And compare it to this, an aerial shot of the same thing courtesy of friend who is a local pilot. What do you notice?"
Charlotte paused while she scanned the podcast live chat. People were going nuts with the information she was giving them. There wasn't a skeptic either from what she saw, though she knew they were always lurking on the sidelines. A slight thought that the New World Order was watching flared up, but she stuffed it down. They were already following her. There was no going back now.
"A runway was added. One that, as far as I can tell, wasn't paid for by any monies from the construction project. There is no trace of it online and it's public record what was spent and with which firm. I plan to uncover its origins as well as find out why Carter Industries, the last firm that completed work on the main airport structures, has been receiving payments from a shell company associated with the airport."
Pausing, she took a breath.
What have I just done?
It was too late to stop and think of the ramifications. She was all in. So were her listeners apparently. The comment section was firing off so rapidly, she couldn't read them. This was the equivalent of blowing the airport wide open. And this was only the tip of the iceberg.
"This might sound outrageous, but I assure you, where there is smoke, there is fire."
She attempted to explain in better detail what the secret society of the Illuminati was. Capturing their goals and what they were really after was what she was working towards exposing. If that organization was behind the curtain at Denver International Airport. It could possibly still be someone else.
"If the ancient Illuminati aren't behind this, we can just call them The New World Order. In essence, that's who they are. Hiding things from society on such a large scale proves that they are not for our greater good, but instead their own. Which is nothing new. Ancient societies have always had leaders or those in power behind the scenes, keeping things from the public. So, what makes DIA different?"
Charlotte paused briefly for dramatic effect.
"They are hiding infinitely more than we can imagine and you all, my listeners, are far more curious than they ever expected."
This was the perfect point to wrap up her episode, so she gave a brief list of what she was going to investigate over the next few days and thanked the thousands of people who were currently listening before signing out. Her phone vibrated with a fervor on the bedside table. She sighed and wondered who was calling directly after the podcast episode. Zach possibly, or Marcus even.
Before she checked though, she wanted to see what the comment section was so lit up with.
She's found the link! Follow the money. Give her a few more days and she will find out that DIA has all the aliens below it. Ancient civilizations more like! She needs to be careful; this is BIG. If we don't hear from her again, we will all descend to the airport. I'm in!
The comments went on and on. It was never ending. Theories sprung up about reptile people, aliens, world leaders meeting, you name it. But a lot of the chatter was spot on with what she'd found so far. It was obvious that a lot of educated scholars were watching and listening to her. A few said they were professors at the University of Cairo.
Her phone buzzed loudly again. This time she needed to answer it. Pushing back from the desk, she stretched and looked at the phone's screen. Zach.
"Hello?"
"Charlotte. Interesting episode. I see you incorporated the blueprints."
She cleared her throat as a diversion.
"I did. Was I not supposed to?"
Zach chuckled. "Of course, you could, I gifted them to you. No strings attached."
Why was he calling? She wondered if he was higher up in the organization than he was letting on. Surely, he wasn't just an executive in the administration offices.
"Did you need something?" She asked.
"Do you want to go out for a nightcap? I figure you might want to unwind after the podcast. There's a few good bars near where you're staying."
Her blood ran cold. She hadn't told him where she was staying.
"I. .I'm actually tired. It's almost midnight, I think I'll just go to bed." She replied. "But thank you for the offer. And again, for the blueprints."
"Of course. Some other time. Good night, we can talk later."
He hung up and she sat on the edge of the bed. 'We can talk later'. She hadn't expected him to ask her out, or to care enough to call. And he was definitely tracking her, as he knew where her hotel was. Shaking her head, she chuckled.
"He wasn't asking me out. He's keeping tabs on me."
This was beginning to feel like Egypt 2.0. Marcus was right. She needed to be far more careful. Marcus. She remembered his handsome face, and how he would smile at her. If only they could have worked out their differences.
"That's it!" She exclaimed, the key to this coming to the forefront of her mind.
Hussain Hamarti. Charlotte sat in front of her laptop again and began a search for the Egyptian man that had the most incredible knowledge of the multi point stars. He was educated abroad, in London, and surprisingly led a very low-key life as a carpenter. One of the professors that helped with the Ministry of Tourism in Cairo had introduced their team to him. She typed and clicked but was unable to find his name. Not anywhere.
"He couldn't have just disappeared!"
Her frustration was mounting. She searched for his business but even that was coming up a bust. A creeping feeling that perhaps she was being more than watched slithered slowly up into her mind. Maybe her devices were no longer safe, including her laptop. The euphoria from conducting such a successful first numbered official podcast episode was wearing off. Now she felt tired.
But she suddenly remembered 'you should look into the buses' from Josh. He'd told her a few times and she had yet to research online. She typed in the search bar and almost celebrated when immediate results pulled up. Trinity bus company contracts renewed for Denver International Airport; staff use only. There it was in black and white from a local newspaper in Denver, the smallest of headlines, buried in an old edition.
"What's the easiest way to find our facts Charlotte? We look where they won't be hidden."
Marcus's words were still correct, even after they parted.
