Piper

It was the end of fifth period. Piper Bello stood next to her best friend Polly, together they were going to approach Miss .Talbot for the first time by themselves. Piper was nervous of course, her palms sweated as she bit her lip to remedy of nerves. It wasn't as if she were afraid of Miss. Talbot, not in the slightest! she just didn't like the reason why they were going to talk to her.

What had happened with Polly was a big mystery, but Piper didn't see why they had to ask the new teacher about it. Piper knew that all new teachers were given a hard time, and she didn't want to be near when her new teacher needed to release all of her stress. Still, Polly was one of her best friends, and accompanying her to awkward conversations with teachers was only part of the best friend package.

Piper and Polly approached Miss. Talbot's desk, the female teacher looked up at the two girls with curiosity.

"can I help you girls? is something wrong?" Piper fidgeted in her position, Polly was the first to answer.

"I was wondering if you might recognise this Miss" Polly held out a sheet of paper and Miss. Talbot plucked it from her fingertips.

Piper noticed the sudden change of expression on Miss. Talbot's face, it went straight from plain to shocked.

"how did you come across this?" she questioned.

Piper noticed the change of tone in her voice aswell, to Piper it sounded slightly demanding.

"I saw it in a photograph, after that I just sketched onto here" Piper knew what the drawing was. It was the tattoo from the Polly's photograph. Piper knew that the tattoo had something to do with history, the design just seemed vintage, maybe even midevil. It was after Piper's thought when Miss. Talbot spoke again.

"This symbol dates back to the bible setting, during the period of adam and eve.This represents an evil being that is said to carry on to this day, an evil being like historians could never imagine. Do you girls know what a succubus is?"

Piper knew that Polly couldn't answer her question so she beat her friend to it.

"A woman who can feed on men's testosterone, a-a demon" Piper barely managed to get the word demon out, she wondered how in the world she could even know so much about them.

"That's right, a demon. This being would have been called a succubus if there was more of it. This is a one-of-a-kind type of creature, one that is reincarnated through living links of the original. Once the spawn is concieved it has only one obgection, to continue the line through a chosen virgin, this chosen virgin is the only human capable of impregnating the spawn when it come's of age. If concieved propperly the line continues until the next spawn is concieved, if not then the creature must kill the one responsable for stopping the conception"

That was very intense, especially for Piper. How could this one teacher know so much about a creature that even historians couldn't find? Piper had no idea and neither did Polly.

"What doe's the tattoo have to do with it?" Piper questioned.

"The tattoo is usually placed on a sexual reigon of the body. With it, the creature can use it's power to seduce it's victim and feed on him. The only way a man can be ammune to it's power is if their love is directed to another woman" Piper wondered if the creatures victims had ever been immune to it's power, or whether they had given in anyway.

"What is the creature called Miss?" Piper questioned.

"in it's true form, Demonia".

Piper thought this was getting way too intense, for her and Polly.

Polly thanked Miss. Talbot and they exited the school quickly, they were going to meet Ivy and Louise at the library to research the tattoo some more, and to find out some more about Demonia.

When they arrived at the public library Ivy and Louise were waiting outside the front doors, Louise looked slightly anxious for the news to come.

"what happened?" Ivy questioned.

"Miss. Talbot told us the tattoo belonged to some aincient demoness called Demonia. Unlike a succubus, Demonia is reincarnated through living links of the original. To continue the line, the current Demonia must use the chosen virgin to get her preggo, if she succeeds then the line continues. If not, she has to kill the person who stopped her" Piper was the one to explain all this to her friends, Polly still had trouble grasping the idea of demons.

"anything else?" Louise asked gingerly.

"Yeah. The only way a chosen virgin can be ammune to Demonia's power is if they love somebody else" this was all so strange for Piper to explain but she knew it was nessicary. If they were going to find out who the person in the picture was, then they had to know every single possibility.

They set up work in the history section in the Library, collecting books from every catorgory that had even a slight relation to Demonia. Half-way through their research they couldn't find a single thing on Demonia or the tattoo.

"this is hopeless" Louise sighed, slamming her book down in fustration.

"we're never going to find anything through these, and we've tried every book in this section!" Piper said, throwing her head down into her hands, Joining Louise in fustration. Piper was stuck, she didn't know how exactly but she was stuck, stuck in thought, and stuck in fustration.

"I would try the religions section if I were you" Piper's head spun around to see who was behind her.

There stood Byron Pike. He was an emo boy from Piper's school, he was thin, tall and dark. He never spoke to any of the girls before, so for Piper this was a first.

"what are you talking about?" Piper asked, more snappier than usual.

"whatever you're researching, you won't find in history books. Demon's bounce back on christianity, christianity means the bible"

Piper knew that Byron is a little weird but he did have a point, if they needed to get somewhere than religion would be a start.

"thank you, I think" Piper responded and Byron walked away.......
