I Don't Want To Go

During the evening, I changed into my pajamas and grabbed Sweet Pea off of my bed. I was deep in thought. I couldn't believe that I was going on a journey with Frodo. I felt uneasy about the situation. The feeling of vulnerability hit me like a wave. I sat down with my head in my hands and sighed. "I didn't think that this was going to happen. I have no other choice but to go. I did not think this through." I thought. Frodo walked into the room, holding a mug of warm milk.
"I've made you something to help you sleep. Here you are, my darling." He handed me the mug and I set it down on the nightstand beside me. "What's the matter? Is something troubling you at all?" Frodo asked me politely.
"I'm scared, Frodo. I don't want to go. It's too dangerous." I told him. "I know you are. I've tried my hardest to convince Gandalf and Elrond into letting you stay here, but they wouldn't. I am very very sorry about what happened. It's out of my control. I cannot do anything about it. I'm sorry."
Frodo gave me a comforting hug. "That's not going to make me feel any better." I sniffled. "I'm a goner, Frodo! I'm a goner!" Frodo lowered his eyebrows and frowned. A concerned and worried look fell upon his face. His eyes grew a dark blue. He clenched his fist over his mouth and gasped deeply. "Frodo, I'm scared!" I panicked.
Frodo reached up and cradled me in his arms and rocked me back and forth. He placed his chin overtop of my head. "Shhhh. Shh. Shh." I sobbed into his nightshirt and he continued to shush me.

"Shh. Shh. Shh. Darling, Shh."
Frodo rested his hands on my cheeks and wiped my tears away. "Everything is going to be alright. I'm going to make sure that nothing ever happens to you. I almost lost you... This time.... I'll make sure that I don't lose you again.
You should drink your milk. Would you like me to give it to you, my sweet little darling?"
"Y-Yes." I choked up.
Frodo grabbed the mug of warm milk and placed it at the edge of my lips. He poured the liquid down my throat.
"Drink your milk, love.

Drink your milk. I've got you. I've got you."
"Boromir said...said....that... I was revolting. He hurt me. Frodo."
Frodo caressed my face. "What he said was uncalled for. He should not have said that to you." "F-Frodo, am I revolting? Am I?" "No. You are the most beautiful girl in the world." "Y-You think so?" "I know so." Answered Frodo. " Let me tuck you into your bed. You should sleep."
Frodo held me gently at the shoulders and put me into my bed, covering me with the comforter. He stopped and looked at me. He leaned in close and kissed me on my nose, my cheeks and my forehead.
He crooned me a lullaby.
"Hush, now. Hush my little Angel.
Sleep, my darling dear.
Lie your weary head on your pillow
Do not fear.
Home is behind you.
The World is Ahead.
Sleep, Sleep my little lamb
In your little bed."
