Attack on Weathertop

(Track 03-A Knife In The Dark)

The pale full moon lit up the night sky like a light in a dark room. There were no stars in sight. I was cold and frightened. My bones felt like sticks, my stomach felt like it was about to cave in and I thought I was going to succumb to the sickness. I thought that this was going to be my last day on Middle-Earth. I was going to perish for sure. If the Ringwraiths found me, they'd kill me for sure. I'm glad that I have Frodo with me. He's the only one who gives me hope.
We set up a camp underneath the old ruins of Weathertop. Frodo was cradling me near the warm, bright campfire, crooning me a lullaby to help me fall asleep. "Frodo?" Frodo placed one of his fingers on my dry, chapped lips. "Shh. Shh." He soothed. "Where is..." "Shh." He shushed me again. I was curious as to where Strider had went. Where did he go? Did he abandon us?
A few hours later, Strider had not returned. A savoury smell filled the air. It was coming from the campfire. I heard the sound of bacon sizzling. How I had wished to have some bacon. I was too sick to eat. I remember when Frodo used to make breakfast early in the morning for me. He'd prepare a hearty meal that consisted of Bacon, Eggs, Toast, Sausages, Fried Tomatoes, savoury cheeses and my personal favourite, delicious hand picked strawberries with the sweetest of creams. I could not recall the taste of food.
I heard hushed voices chatting by the fire. It was Sam, Merry and Pippin. Frodo had woken up and noticed the three hobbits huddled around the fire. "What are you doing?!" He woke up in a panic. "Sausages, tomatoes, nice crispy bacon." Said Merry, off in the distance. "We saved some for you, Mr. Frodo." He offered him some of the food that he had prepared but Frodo stomped out the fire, extinguishing the flames. "Put it out, you fools, put it out!" He exclaimed. "Where is Brianna? Where is she?!" "Don't worry, Cousin Frodo. She's laying here right beside me." Pippin stroked my hair back, whispering in my ear. "Brianna, wake up. Please, wake up." "Pippin!" Cried Frodo. Frodo ran up towards the two of us and smacked Pippin right upside the head. "Frodo, I can explain! I'm sorry!" "Don't you set one foot near her or I'll...."
Merry and Sam looked out into the distance and spotted a group of shadows heading in our direction. The shadows were holding large, sharp silver swords in their cold, lifeless hands. "Ringwraiths!! They're headed this way! Run!" Warned Merry.
Sam and Frodo lifted my weary body off of the ground, and carried me up a flight of cracked, stone stairs. Merry and Pippin had caught up to us, catching their breaths. "Mr. Frodo, I'll take care of Ms. Brianna. She's in safe hands. I'm going to have to lie her down somewhere." Frodo followed Sam anxiously. Sam had set me down near a couple of fallen stone pillars and wrapped a blanket around my waist. "Oh, Frodo. Please don't....leave me. F-F-Frodo." "I'm not going to leave..." Frodo was caught off guard by Sam who had tugged at his jacket sleeve. "Come on, Mr. Frodo! You have no other choice but to leave her! Look, over there!"

The Ringwraiths had appeared from out of the shadowy ruins of the old watchtower. The two hobbits ran for their lives and huddled against Merry and Pippin. They reached into their sheathes and held their daggers close to them to protect themselves from the evil fiends.
One of the Ringwraiths had spotted me and held out his sharp silver sword

and pointed it at my abdomen.
"Brianna!" Shouted Sam. "Brianna!!!! No!!!" Cried Frodo, with tears filling his big, blue fearful eyes. There was no way he could stop me. I couldn't defend my self. It was too late. The Ringwraith dug his blade deep into me. I let out a blood-curdling scream. "Ahhh!!!!!" The pain was too overwhelming that I couldn't move myself off of the ground. "Nooooo!!!!!!" I screamed again. Frodo felt like his heart was ripped out of his chest. He was going to lose the one thing that he loved so dearly. The one thing that made his life worth living: Me. "Bri...Bri....Bwianna!" He blubbered.
The Ringwraiths caught up to the hobbits and shoved Sam, Merry and Pippin out of the way so that Frodo was in their full view. He was stiff with fear and was deeply traumatized that he fell to the ground with a loud thud. The leader of the Ringwraiths spotted Frodo. How was he ever going to escape this dreadful fate? "The Ring." He thought. He snatched the One from
his pocket and slid it on his 'ring' finger. Frodo had disappeared.
