Chapter 3: Party time

I spun around in my pink dress, "I'm scared Cieto, there's going to be so many people at the house for mom's party. What if they don't like me."

"Amelia there family, they'll be crazy to not love your strange personality."

I sighed, "Your right." I skipped out of the bathroom and stopped at the steps before taking a deep breath. I walked down the steps and seen way more people then I expected.

"Well if it isn't Amelia!"

"Hey sweetheart."

"Hi." I waved.

"Calm down, you look like you just saw a war."

"What's a war?" I whisper as I smile, hug and wave myself to the kitchen to find my dad.

"Right I forgot humans are ignorant during there first few years of being alive."

"Is that a insult?" I walked into the kitchen and seen my dad talking to a lady. "GRANDMA!" I hollered. I ran to her and jumped into her arms.

"Hey Amy dear."

"I've missed you."

"I've only been away for a year or so. I have tons of stuff from my trip in Ireland and Italy, when you come over I'll show you them."

I cheered and she set me down, "Hey daddy is mommy home from work yet?"

"No but it shouldn't be long now." He knelt by the oven and checked on the cake.

"The cake smells delicious John."

"I mixed the batter and tasted." I said happily.

"She wouldn't stop crying to do it." Dad added.

My grandma chuckled, "Amelia have you ever meant your aunt and uncle?" I shook my head, "Then why don't we go find them." She held my hand and we walked to the living room. I seen a bunch of kids running around.

"Hey your Amelia right?" They stopped in front of me and a boy reached out his hand, "I'm Lucas, your cousin. This is my sister Mary." The girl waved, "And my other sister Jackie." She waved. A boy peeked behind Jackie, "Oh and that's Arnold, he's shy." I waved and smiled a little. "Do you want to play with us, we can go upstairs and play or something."

I looked up at my grandma and she nodded with a smile before walking off, I turned back to the kids. "Sure."

"So Amelia how old are you?" Mary asked as she played with my dolls.

"5." I said.

"I'm 7, Jackie is 8, Lucas is 9 and Arnold is 4."

I focused on my doll, brushing her hair. "Need help socializing?" Cieto asked. I nodded, "I'll take over." Cieto took control.

"So Jackie, have you ever played a game called hide and seek?"

Jackie smiled, "Who hasn't."

"I'll hide!"Lucas called running. Arnold ran after him.

"Looks like your seeking Amelia." Mary said before running off.

I took back control and smiled, "Thanks Cieto." I ran into the hallway.

After a while I found everyone and Mary was it. I ran to go hide, which was pretty easy since I knew the house perfectly. I ran into my mom's room and into the closet. "Hey!" I heard a voice say. I looked and seen Jackie hiding between the coats. "This is my spot, go find somewhere else."

"10!" I heard Mary holler. "Ready or not here I come!"

"There's no where else to go let's just share it?"

"No this spot is mine." Jackie insisted as she pushed me out of the closet.

"This is my house." I said getting angry. She swung at me and I became enraged, "Cieto..." Cieto took over with a grin. The lights flickered and things fell off the dresser. "I said, this is my spot!" Cieto pulled her out of the closet and tossed her out.

Jackie sniffled, "I'm telling!" She ran to the door and immediately it closed shut. She pulled at it, "Let me out!" Cieto walked closer to her and she began crying as she backed against the door. "Leave me alone!" She cried. Objects floated in the air, then suddenly the door opened. A group of people was in the hallway including my mom. Jackie ran and hugged her mom crying. Cieto switched back with me and everything crashed to the floor.

I smiled weakly, "Suprise mom..." She gave me a disappointed look and I frowned. I seen my grandma giving me the same look.

"She's a witch..." Jackie cried, "She's scary." Even Lucas, Mary, and Arnold look at me weird.

"We don't need friends anyway Amelia, they were no fun besides you'll always have me."
