PARKLYNN POV

Finally, we reached Harper. She is in immense pain. So many people stood around gawking at her. I looked to Drayvon who made them leave. I knelt by Harper allowing Angel to enter her mind to ease her.

'Harper dear just breathe. Relax your mind, let your wolf guide you'.

'Parklynn I am so scared'.

'Harper I am Angel Parklynn's wolf I am going to help you through ok. Parklynn is here as well okay'.

'okay'.

As Angel guides Harper's wolf whose name is Ava I worry. This is the worst pain I have seen anyone go through. I wish I could take the pain away from her.

'Parklynn we can. We can ease her pain, but It will weaken us both'.

Before I can say anything the alarms sound intruders. Now really, we can't move her to the safe room. Drayvon is announcing orders.

'Drayvon angel speaking we are not leaving Harper you go with your warriors we can take care of her. You can fight us all night if you would like but you will not win'. He nodded and kissed me on the cheek.

"I will be back. Please stay safe." I nodded to him, and he ran off to fight this battle.

'Harper honey I am going to ease some of your pain.' She whimpered and I couldn't stand watching her in this pain. I laid my hands on her head and I could feel Angel at the surface. I trusted Angel and followed her guidance. As our hands lay upon Harper's head, I could feel the energy building. I could feel some of Harper's Pain entering me as Harper did not even seem in as much pain as she did before. I hear the barks and howls of the wolves fighting. 

Suddenly Harper's body is shifting into her wolf. When I let go, I can feel the weakness taking over. Her wolf is so beautiful dark brown with white on her belly. As I sit on the ground panting, regaining my strength Ava walks over and cuddles up to me wanting me to rub her belly. I then heard growls close by when I looked, I saw two wolves smell of rotting meat. They were staring at Harper and eyeing us like we were their next meal. I screamed as loud as I could "DRAYVON".

DRAYVON POV

How and the hell were all these damn wolves here, rogues especially. I let Thanatos take control of my body and fight the filthy mongrels. We needed to hurry to get back to Parklynn and Harper; they needed us; they were vulnerable at this state. We slaughtered rogue after rogue, they were everywhere it felt never-ending. I saw my brother fighting off four rogues and he was getting tired. 

I began to see red, no one was hurting my pack, not today. I shifted into my large Black wolf Thanatos and charged the rogues that had Joshua pinned. I started clawing at one's face, blinding him through blood. I then bit the other's neck and ripped his juggler out of his body. As I spit it out on the ground, I could feel the warm liquid running down my face. I stalked the others as they slowly retreated. I shifted back and helped Joshua to his feet to make sure he was not seriously injured. As we looked around none of ours were lost, thank the heavens. As we stood there in victory making sure everyone was safe, I heard the most angelic voice scream in fear. "DRAYVON!"

'Drayvon it is Parklynn she needs us. Thanatos screams in my mind. Erebus is now full-on angry and wants his mate safe in his arms. We run as fast as we could to where we left Harper and Parklynn. Our hearts were racing and pounding like our feet to the earth. When we reached our destination the scene before we stopped my heart. Harper laying there out cold from the pain of her first shift. Parklynn was nowhere in sight, but Natasha was running towards me screaming. "Drayvon help me please". 

I saw two rogues in the distance and without hesitation, I jumped into the attack. They were weaker than the others I broke both jaws and snapped their necks in minutes. "Natasha, what happened"? I demanded to know where she was what happened to her. "Drayvon it was awful they killed her and took her body, I tried to help her I swear I tried but there were too many". My heart began to twist in pain my mate my heart was gone. I couldn't wrap my head around it how was she gone she couldn't be gone. In a flash, I saw Haisleigh charging straight at Natasha. "Haisleigh what are you doing"? I asked something was wrong and I was missing the point. "Drayvon I am speaking as your sister-in-law move out of the way or me and my wolf will challenge you".

 I stared at her in shock she has never spoken to us like this or acted this way. Joshua was holding her back to the best of his ability knowing she wouldn't harm her mate. "Bitch I know what you did when I get my hands on you, I promise you will be begging for death". "ENOUGH, Haysleigh what is going on". I bellowed in anger. "Drayvon she is a lunatic this is what I get for trying to help". Natasha screamed back at her while holding my arm. "Natasha you slut tell the truth now. I heard everything you stupid cow. Parklynn left her mind-link open to me. I heard the whole ordeal, and you tell them the truth right now or so help me, goddess, I will hurt Joshua as long as I can rip your head off". What was Haisleigh speaking of, this wasn't making any sense, but I trusted Haisleigh with my life and Parklynn was missing and needed answers? In a quick motion, I grabbed Natasha by the throat and squeezed enough to cause pain to show I meant business. "Natasha, I told you to respect your Beta, and now tell me the truth about what happened here"? I let the authority roll off me, causing her wolf to submit. She laughed, causing me to become angrier and angrier. "You big dumb Alpha she isn't nothing but a worthless mute bitch". I squeezed even tighter causing her to gasp for air Erebus and Thanatos front and center. 

"Listen here you slut, that is my mate you are talking about, and I promise you if anything happens death will be too kind to you, I will let both Erebus and Thanatos have their fun with you". She visually gulped in fear as I threw her to a couple of warriors. "Listen throws her in the dungeon with no one in or out. Only me do you understand". "Yes Alpha '' they spoke in unison. I couldn't understand how this could have happened. How could I have allowed this to happen to her? I was to protect her. In the middle of a thought, I felt pain in my abdomen. After taking a few breaths I realized this wasn't my pain, this was Parklynn's pain. They were hurting her, and I needed to save her and soon.

Hours have passed, warriors have been searching the scene for clues. Haisleigh and Joshua have been trying to calm me down. The only way I found some peace was when I was watching over Harper. Parklynn gave herself to save Harper, a true Luna but still, I needed to make sure Harper was ok. She may have heard where they were taking Parklynn. As I sit at my desk head in my hands trying to not let the pain and exhaustion take over me, I couldn't afford to sleep, not when they are hurting her. I blame myself if I wasn't so guarded, I would have let her in sooner to know the truth, the reason I wanted her to be protected until things were not as difficult.

 Warrior's mind linked me. They found something. I told them to meet me in my office and asked for both Betas to join us. They all arrived, and I was waiting for their findings, but they looked scared. The head warrior stood up and handed me a box and stepped back. When I opened the box there were two envelopes inside marked 1 and 2. When I opened one it was a letter that read.

'Hello again, long time no see a cousin. Did you really think that I was gone forever? I have been waiting and waiting for this day for years who knew Parklynn was your second chance at happiness. Now I know I have you and finally, my plan will be carried out. If I knew it was her before I would have done this a long time ago. Come to find out though we both have a weakness in our mates these days. You can keep mine though I would rather have Parklynn here. Does she know the truth, Drayvon or are you keeping secrets? It's ok if I am right, she is keeping secrets as well. See you soon dear cousin.'

I felt the anger overcome me quickly. I opened the second envelope and inside it was a picture of Parklynn, beaten and bloody. I began pacing the room and punched the wall breaking through causing my knuckles to become bloody. So much running through me so much fear at that. Fear of her being harmed because of me, fear of losing her, fear that she will learn the truth and hate me forever. I needed her more than I have ever needed anything, and I was damned sure I would be getting her back and Mica would be dying at my hands. 'Hang in there, Parklynn, I will save you. No matter what I Love you and I am sorry I didn't give you a chance sooner'. I whispered through the bond hoping she could hear it and know I am looking for her. I will find her, or I will die trying.
