Death visited me last night

My soul wanted to fight

Mind drifted to the sight

Heart needed to end its plight

The demon floated against the wall,

Inky blackness decided to ball

Into my dreams where the waves fall

To see if I would answer its call.

Try to rise against the dark

while the lone dog barks

Watch the time pass by

Hope in your mind it lies
