~ BTYB Izuku going to the gym ~
Izuku looked around himself to see nothing but darkness. He couldn't hear anything either. Everything around him remained empty, it was just a dark abyss. Yet he could still stand and move freely with nothing restraining him. A moment later, he finally spoke.
"This will make it the third time," he muttered to himself, his gaze lowering until his neck was nearly parallel with the rest of his body. Right now, he didn't bother to close his eyes, already feeling his eyes start to sting. "I'm doing this to become stronger. I'm becoming stronger to become a hero. And I'm becoming a hero to save those who are weaker than me." He mumbled, feeling the stinging in his eyes magnify with each passing second.
Then, the growing pain arrived at a plateau. Rising his head, Izuku began to hear footsteps that grew louder while time continued to pass. After a few seconds, Izuku turned to his right to find the source of the footprints.
Walking up to him was the silhouette of a person that became clearer with each step. Recognizing the figure, Izuku gazed over to see a woman dressed in all black, covering all of her body except for her hands and head. Yet he paid more attention to her hands than her face. Sprouting from her hands was a sharpened bone the same length as her forearm.
'A transformation-type Quirk specializing in offensive combat.' The freckled boy thought, waiting for the woman to get closer. 'Don't stay too close for too long and aim to disable her arms first.' He told himself before the woman stopped.
Keeping their gaze on each other's hands, Izuku and the woman charged at each other, arms dragged through the abyss around them. Getting close, Izuku dropped to the ground when the woman tried to slash at him with one of her claws. Then, he tackled the woman down to the ground, readjusting his grip from her shirt to her wrists when they were on the ground.
Applying pressure to her wrists, he attempted to break them, though the most he could do was bring her a constant stream of pressure. Nonetheless, he was kicked off during his attempts, allowing the woman to charge at him again. Unable to get off the ground in time, Izuku's side was clipped by one of her claws.
When he did get up, Izuku ignored the pain as much as he could. 'I have to kill her,' he repeated in his mind, charging at the woman once more. Going for another swipe, Izuku tackled the woman, stopping her attack before it could connect. Shoving her onto the ground, he stepped on her stomach and one of her arms. With the other arm, he quickly directed the claw toward her throat, finally killing her.
Stepping away from the lifeless body, he felt the burning in his eyes simmer down while the woman's body withered away. It was a slow process but her body turned into nothing more than dust and a red flame for a soul.
The flame floated above where her corpse laid, flickering amidst the abyss. Bringing up his hand, the flame gravitated toward it before laying in his palm. "With this gain, my first stage will give me a two times boost." He commented, popping the flame into his mouth like a piece of candy. "Now, I just have to suffer until I wake up."
Falling onto the invisible ground of the abyss, he laid down and clutched his side. Closing his eyes, he let sleep envelop him once more.
Waking up, Izuku sat up with lingering pain in his side. Lifting his shirt, there was no trace of an injury, something he was grateful for. Shifting to sit on the edge of his bed, Izuku rubbed his eyes before grabbing his phone.
Turning on the phone burned Izuku's eyes for a few seconds, forcing him to blink while his eyes adjusted. Looking at the screen, he learned it was barely three in the morning. Not even Shiori had been up at this time. Nonetheless, he set his phone down and went into the bathroom.
After using the room, he brushed his teeth and looked at his latest set of changes. Nothing new had sprouted but his horns grew and began the curl. Now, the horns were as long as his hand with four rings on each of them. Also, the curling seemed to branch outward as if to wrap around his head, at least, that's what it hinted to.
Splashing his face with water, he decided to get ready for his day. So, with a brisk shower, he was getting dressed in his school uniform once again. Still, there was no sign of Shiori.
Yet he still went on and made himself a proper breakfast to start off the day. Leaving a full breakfast for Inko, he grabbed his giant bag and left the apartment. Once outside, he muttered the name, "Shiori?"
There was no answer. Sighing, Izuku started the trek to school without any company.

~ BTYB Sleeping during class ~
The day's classes had been uneventful, not even Katsuki had so much as stirred in his seat. At the very least, Izuku had been able to plan out his high school career, especially with a very big variable out of the equation.
At the moment though, he had packed up all of his stuff and left the school building. 'Still nothing.' He thought, walking out of the school gates among dozens of other students. 'I have a bad feeling about this.'
Beginning his journey through the city, Izuku passed by heroes on patrol, plenty of fans following those heroes, and ordinary citizens going about their day. There was nothing extraordinary, not even the demon using him as a vessel made the day even a bit special. But he just pinched himself, took a deep breath, and kept going home.
Returning home, Izuku entered while the television was left on. Looking around, he couldn't see Inko, though before he began his search, the current program caught his attention.
"As of yesterday, officers have recovered the corpse of a villain after a run-in with an unlicensed individual going around like a hero." A reporter read to the audiences at home. "Although we don't know how the villain had died, we will still advise everyone at home to watch out for this individual. Back to your Horikoshi."
Ignoring the next reporter, Izuku stood behind the couch, staring blankly at the screen. 'They didn't say anything about how I look, so I can save that priority for later. But I can't just save the day freely now.' He thought to himself, missing the next reporter's discussion about past incidents that might be related to this. 'I'll have to keep silent and only target situations that need my help.'
"Izuku? You're home?"
Turning around, Izuku could see Inko with her hands behind her back. She was wearing the usual sweater and pencil skirt combo that she usually adorned, albeit a slight palette swap.
"Yeah, I just got home," he replied, grabbing the remote to turn off the television.
"Then you should get started on your homework. I'll get started on dinner." She said, shuffling to the kitchen without turning her back to Izuku.
Shaking his head slightly, Izuku shrugged off his thoughts and retreated to his room. Opening his bag, he set out a few notebooks and grabbed a textbook from one of his shelves. His first assignment was mathematics, a subject he despised, but thankfully, he didn't have any other assignments.
While he did that assignment, he made some personal plans of his own. 'I spent the last nine months training my body and only ate one soul. I feel like an idiot.' He told himself, reflecting on his choices. 'If I ate more souls, I could've been tenfold stronger than I am now.'
Letting the thought sink in, he wanted to stab himself in the eye with his pencil. Despite that odd urge, he kept working on his assignment.
'I'm guaranteed to get into Nomaru Academy, so I don't have to worry about Kacchan.' He imagined the near future, it even brought a smile to his face. 'But I need a disguise to hide my horns. A mask will hide my face but I doubt anyone else has horns like mine, so maybe a head wrap... no, I'd look stupid.'
Finishing up the last of his assignment, he pulled out his notebook about his demon capabilities. Opening it to a blank page, he began to sketch a design of a costume he'd hope to make in the future.
He started off with a classic demon mask similar to ones he had seen at festivals, though he took off the top half because he couldn't even take himself seriously just imagining that. Covering the rest of his body, he added a cloak fitted with pockets on the inside to help weigh it down, especially since he planned to deploy the two whenever something popped up.
Turning to the next page, he sketched an in-depth design on each part of the suit. Starting with the mask, he designed it to involve a mini-rebreather that would allow him to breathe during a fire and underwater for a short period of time. Though talking would become slightly difficult, not that he planned on talking too much.
As for the cloak, the pockets would hold gadgets and tools that he would probably steal or make himself. Most likely the former since it was easier. Nonetheless, the cloak remained very simple with black coloring and no designs to make sure he could keep up stealth.
Closing the book, he leaned back in his chair. "Shiori, can you hear me?" He asked, staring at the ceiling. He didn't get a response. "If this is a prank, then it's the worst one you've ever done." He mumbled, sitting back up.
"Izuku, dinner's ready!"
Getting up from his chair, Izuku hid his personal notebook between his school notes. Snaking his way out of his room, he closed the door quietly and made his way to the kitchen. Already sitting at the table, he could see Inko sipping from her glass of water.
Joining her at the table, Izuku started to peel off some of the meat of the grilled fish Inko prepared. While the mother and son ate their dinner, the two remained in awkward silence, only broken by the moving of utensils or plates.
"Do you know which school you'll be going to?" Inko asked, breaking the silence between her and her son.
"Nomura academy," Izuku answered after he swallowed the food that was in his mouth. "No hero schools will accept me since they have the files that say I'm Quirkless."
"Why didn't you give them the new documents?"
"We got them changed after all the schools sent rejection letters." He answered once more, keeping his gaze down on his plate.
"Oh..." Inko muttered, popping a few grains of rice into her mouth. "I hope you like it at Nomura then."
Taking a moment to piece his response together, Izuku eventually muttered, "I hope so too."
Enveloped in silence again, the mother and son finished dinner at a slow pace. Eventually, Izuku had finished up a fair portion of the food set out and set his dish in the sink. Retreating to his room shortly, Izuku checked his phone and realized that the sun would be setting soon. When the sun was set, it would be prime time to go search for powerful souls or at least a workout.
So, he swapped out his clothes for a jacket and sweatpants to hide his bodily features. Then he took out an All Might-themed hat and used it to hide his bush-hair. Finishing off the look he grabbed a bandana to hide his freckles and mouth, though he would put that on later.
Leaving his room, he left his phone and wallet so no one would be able to trace him back home or follow him. Walking to the door, he slipped on his red high tops, something he doubted would attract too much attention with their plain design. He also didn't want to wear any other pair of shoes.
"Kaa-san, I'm going to go shopping!" Izuku shouted into the apartment.
"Make sure you come back safe!" Inko shouted back from wherever she was.
Leaving the apartment complex, Izuku descended down the stairs while thinking, 'Shiori, it's been a whole day.'
Yet again there was no response. At this point, Izuku didn't know if it was a thing with the women in his life or if Shiori was just laying a prank on him. Nonetheless, he began his journey to find some excitement at the beginning of the night.
For the first half hour, Izuku had made no interference or extraordinary moves. He simply watched the heroes take care of villains with relative ease. The only exceptions were those with Quirks that had a distinct advantage over that of the hero's own. Taking a mental note of the detail, he continued his stroll and kept calling his demon benefactor's name, hoping she would answer his call before a dangerous situation arose. Yet she never replied.
Giving up on his demon side, the freckled boy journeyed away from the large group of fighting. When the shouts of super moves had turned into mere echoes to him, Izuku hid away in an alley. He put on his bandana, covering up the lower half of his face and pulled up his hood to hide his prominent horns.
'Shiori, if you can hear me, I'm going to find someone that needs help,' he said, still not getting a response from the woman. Sighing, he broke into a jog, quickly scanning his surroundings while he stayed on the move. 'I have to stay out of the sight of heroes,' he told himself before taking a hard turn toward the source of loud noises.
It sounded like a screech at first but then there was a loud bang, similar to a concussive blast. Rushing toward the source, Izuku could hear the sounds of a fight along with a conversation consisting of only shouts and yelling.
"This is so much fun!" A voice shouted, rolling the 's' of its words like a snake. Which made a lot of sense when Izuku saw a man slithering around the street with his snake tail that made up the bottom half of his body.
"Then let me have some fun too!" Another man shouted, zooming around the snake-man with ease. "Take this!" He shouted, slamming his leg into the back of the man's head, knocking the man into the ground.
'Shiori, you there?'
"Stop talking to the villain!" A young lady shouted while she adorned a succubus-themed one-piece outfit. Jumping to the speedy man, she grabbed him and landed on the ground, nearly a whole block away from the villain.
'Please?'
Following up the two, a man wearing a mask over the top half of his face punched the snake-man further into the ground, aided with the brass knuckles he wore. Punching the villain a few more times, the muscular man stepped back, watching the villain just in case.
'Shiori, are you even going to let me eat that guy's soul?'
"Leave him be, Pop Step," the muscular man said to the lady. "What matters is that he does the right thing."
"Knuckleduster! Don't encourage him!" She shouted back, grabbing onto the tight clothing the man wore.
"Come on! You attract enough attention, I can have some fun while I help people," the skinnier man complained, a smile present on his face the entire time.
Meanwhile, Izuku watched the snake-man and let the voices fade into nothing. It was slow but the reptile crawled out of the cold, hard street. His fingers dug into the ground, his tail curled around his body, all with a soft slinking sound following the movements. Slinking to a low crawl, the man whipped his head back and forth, taking note of everything with his slit eyes darting in all directions.
Izuku's body froze up, he was barely able to feel the cool night's air against his hands or face. In a mere moment, the lizard rose and faced Izuku. Bursting into a slither, the man wrapped around Izuku, his tail taking the breath out of Izuku's chest and tightening by the second against his arms and legs.
"Sleep," he said, repeating his s once again. A cold-blooded hand was laid on Izuku mouth, making it tough to breathe.
'Shiori...'
The light in his eyes started to fade away while pain had captured every nerve in his body. Only one thought had been left on his mind and the darkness had only seemed to empower that thought.
"AH!"
Air filled Izuku's lungs again, his body relaxed, only for his senses to be overflowed by his eyes burning from the inside and his heartbeat in his ears. Looking down, he felt a cold, numb feeling within his hands, leading to a cut between his longest two fingers. From that wound, a warm liquid leaked out and covered his knuckles, yet he felt this carnal rage boiling inside of him.
He swiveled to face the lizard that curled against the wall. "It was at this moment," he muttered, moving a muscle in his arms and releasing a new weapon. Charging toward the man, Izuku sunk his bones into the tail of his opponent and tore his arms apart. "You knew, you fucked up."
The man's tail was torn apart in two places, yet blood was absent from the mess hidden away in the alley. Crawling toward the body, Izuku stabbed it once more, this time, he struck the heart and watched a crimson ooze creak up his bladed arm, retreated into his body while the blade sunk back into his arm and sealed his wound.
Admiring his hands, he felt the smooth, soft patch of skin covering the gap between his knuckles. Then, he gazed over his work, less bloody than other jobs yet more brutal than ever. Shaking his head, he leaned over the corpse and reached into the man's chest, pulling out a flickering flame. Yet again, another dull green flame.
Popping the flame into his mouth like a gumdrop, he called out, "Shiori," once more. Nothing had answered his call. "I don't want to be sexist, but I think that woman found a better man," he muttered to himself, he closed his eyes.
Relief overflowed his senses this time, his heartbeat calming and his blood flowing like a steady stream instead of waves during a storm. When he opened his eyes, both orbs were white and green, nothing out of the ordinary for him. Catching his breath, he slunk down against a wall, only to jolt up when he heard marching footsteps growing louder.
"I got him!"
Grabbing onto his arms, someone slammed Izuku against the wall, creating a sickening crunch that reverberated against the bricks. Cracking his eyes open, Izuku clenched his jaw and fists when he saw the three individuals that fought the snake-man earlier, all of them eyeing him like he was the last slice of a pizza.
"Did you kill this guy?" Knuckleduster asked, pointing to the lifeless body laying on the ground without a sound, movement, or even an odor.
The freckled boy didn't utter a word. Yet that response was rewarded with a tighter grip around his arms, squeezing the limbs until each of them were nearly numb. "Answer us, villain!" Crawler, the hooded one, shouted.
"Come on, the night's wasting away," Pop Step added, her arms crossed under her chest.
Izuku snapped his eyes shut and slammed his head back against the rough brick wall. "Stop..." he croaked out, his voice raspy. "Please..."
"You sure this guy's a villain, he seems a bit too polite," Crawler commented, turning to face his two companions that stood behind him.
"It doesn't matter, he killed someone and we have a corpse as evidence." The young lady replied, stepping closer to the green-eyed captive against the wall.
Lowering his head, Izuku slowly cracked open his eyes, the whites replaced with black. "You won't like it," he began, his eyes stretching into mere lines. "When I'm angry."
