"I, Izuku Midoriya, accept your deal, Shiori."

"Brace yourself, Little One."

"Brace for what?" Izuku asked, only to be answered by an aggravating headache. Falling to his knees, he held onto the sides of his head.

Alarmed by this, a few citizens opted to help the boy, but when they approached him, it felt like something was being pulled out of them. Stepping away from him, everyone either watched the boy struggle with his headache or watched the other boy struggle to escape from the villain's grasp.

"Kid, you alright?" Death Arms asked, looking behind him.

Izuku didn't respond. Instead, he groaned as the headache spread out.

"Is that a no?" Death Arms asked again, glancing at his fellow heroes.

Still groaning, Izuku looked toward the sky and let his arms fall down to his sides. Now, everyone looked at him.

He kept shouting in pain and the pain only amplified itself. It changed from a headache to a migraine and started to spread to his eyes. Drowning out the migraine, Izuku felt his eyes burning from the inside out, it had even felt like his eyes were twisting and changing.

Then, the pain subsided, his shouts ceased, and all of the attention was redirected to the Sludge Villain and its captive. Lowering his head, Izuku remained on his knees.

'I feel... energized.' He thought, bringing his hands into view, though neither of them had changed at all.

"That is expected," Shiori said to him. "Now, I believe it is time to save your little friend."

Izuku paused. With a deep sigh, he pushed himself up to his feet and shoved his way through the crowd again. Ignoring those watching, he sprinted forward, the burning sensation in his eyes returning.

Just mere meters away from reaching the villain, he was stopped. Actually, Mt. Lady had grabbed him while in her enlarged state.

"Kid, leave this to the heroes," she whispered, placing him at the back of the crowd.

Clenching his fists, Izuku pushed himself through the crowd once more, ignoring the heroes that had still only negotiated with the villain. "Hey! Get out of there!" Death Arms shouted, only for his call to fall on deaf ears.

Reaching out to the freckled boy again, Mt. Lady's hand missed him when he had ducked under her hand and pushed it away. Still running, Izuku reached out to Katsuki, only for the Sludge Villain to slither back.

"Wait, you're that kid from earlier. So you were hiding your Quirk?" It asked, slithering away from every swipe that Izuku made. "Not so flashy and not so powerful. I think I'll stick with this flesh bag instead." It taunted.

Stopping, Izuku looked at the monster. He couldn't see any weaknesses with such a short display of power. All he knew was he could inhabit someone's body.

'A little help!' He mentally screamed, slightly panicking from his failed attempts.

"Get close and reach into the slime. I will take care of the rest." She told him, though it had barely calmed him down.

Nonetheless, he followed her orders. Charging forward again, he didn't stop to swipe this time, aiming solely on reaching into the villain. "Come on, I'll kill you, kid!" It taunted once more. This time, instead of slithering away, it directed Katsuki like a puppet, forcing him to make an explosion that was slammed into Izuku's right cheek.

Suddenly, Izuku grabbed Katsuki's arm and ignored the wave of pain that coursed throughout his body. Pulling the blonde's arm, Izuku felt the monster pulling the boy too. Then, he stopped pulling and was pulled along with Katsuki into the monster's sludge body.

'Shiori!' Izuku shouted, holding his breath.

Not getting a proper response, Izuku felt the burning in his eyes magnify fivefold. Unknown to him, the white of his eyes had molded into black and his pupils became slit. But now, his vision seemed drowned of all color, except for those of a vibrant red flame and a flickering green ember.

Driven on pure instinct, he grabbed the green flame and shoved it into his mouth, consequently grabbing some sludge as well. Swallowing, he felt like nothing had changed.

It wasn't until both Izuku and Katsuki dropped to the ground that he realized the fruits of his labor. All around him was formless sludge, not moving or even reacting to the movement of another person.

"He did it!" A nameless citizen shouted from the crowd.

"The kid saved the day!" Another person joined in.

Shakily getting up, Izuku was surrounded by people, all of them congratulating him. Not paying attention to them, he felt the burning in his eyes vanish when they had returned to normal.

"Huh?" Izuku stammered, gazing over the crowd that had surrounded him.

"Excuse us!" Someone had shouted from the back. Walking up to Izuku, there were two people: Kamui Woods and Mt. Lady. "Nice work out there kid!" Kamui said to the freckled boy before leaning close. "But leave it to us next time."

"Okay," he whispered back to the hero.

"Now, let's get these two-"

The sound of a bell had cut Mt. Lady off. Tracing the source of the sound, nearly everyone's eyes had landed on Izuku. After a few seconds, Izuku had hurriedly pulled out his phone and turned off the alarm he had set.

"Sorry! I have to go!" He stuttered out before running through the crowd. But first, he rushed into the Timely Comics shop. "Are my comics still here?" He frantically asked the cashier.

Snapping out of her small daze, she grabbed a bag off the ground and handed it to him. "I put your change and receipt in the bag."

"Thanks!" With his purchase in hand, he rushed off and could only think about how worried Inko would be when he got home.

Luckily, it hadn't taken too long for him to reach his small apartment. Entering the home, he witnessed Inko's head whip around to face him, tears pouring down from her eyes. Jumping up from her seat on the couch, she enveloped Izuku in a hug, soaking his school uniform with her tears, though neither of them seemed to care about that.

"I'm so glad you're okay," she sobbed, feeling Izuku hug her back.

"I'm sorry," he mumbled in response. "I just... I wanted to help Kacchan."

The two remained silent in each other's embrace. Neither had uttered another word. They had stayed that way for a few minutes, both only had thought of the other's wellbeing.during that time.

Breaking away from the hug, Izuku looked at the dining table then turned his gaze back toward Inko. "Let's eat, the food is getting cold." She simply nodded and shuffled to the table to eat with her son.

Waking up the next day, Izuku had to force himself out of bed after he had turned off his alarm. Stumbling into the bathroom, he had used the toilet then began to brush his teeth. While doing so, he looked at his reflection in the mirror, noting a few of the same old details that made his face.

He had the same freckles, unruly hair, and green eyes. There was also a little bit of fat in his cheeks, a somewhat soft jawline, and horns on his forehead. Wait... Horns!?

But before Izuku could scream his head off, he had felt something over his mouth, muffling his scream. Still screaming, he looked down to see someone's hand. Tracing the hand back to the source, he gazed upon a pale, thin arm, only to see another sight worth a scream.

Shiori, the demon in his reflections, was next to him. She wasn't just a face or a reflection anymore, she was actually there with her whole body.

"Quiet, Little One. Your mother is still resting." The woman said, slowly taking her hand off of Izuku's mouth. "I presume you have a few questions for me?"

"Um... how are you here?" He stammered out, his eyes flickering over her body, taking in a few details at a time.

Her face was familiar, though her voluptuous body shape was somewhat surprising. She even had wings folded up on her back and a tail ending in an arrow-like tip. Covering up all of that, she wore very thin silk robes, draping over most of her body except for the majority of her back.

"You are my vessel now. I use your body as a storehouse for my power and as a portal to enter this realm." She answered, making it sound simple though it had befuddled the freckled boy. "Though I seem to only be able to interact with you, Little One."

"Okay... what about the horns?" He asked next.

"It is merely a side effect of being a vessel for a demon." She started and clarified by saying, "By using my abilities, you will slowly turn into a demi-demon."

"A demi-demon?" He repeated, his mouth slightly ajar.

"A half demon in other words. So you'll grow a pair of wings and a tail similar to mine, though not quite as large due to the human part of you."

"Is that supposed to make me feel better?"

"It is supposed to. But perhaps you should prepare for school." She said, changing the subject with a pout on her pale face. "For today, it might be better to arrive earlier than usual."

Listening to her advice, Izuku went through his usual morning routine with little difficulty from the new attachments to his skull. With his clothes and supplies all sorted out, he made himself a piece of toast and spread a knife-full of strawberry jam onto one side. Running to the door, he kept the piece of toast in his mouth while he tied on his shoes.

"Izuku? Is that you?"

Pausing, the freckled boy turned to face his mother. "Morning," he mumbled, keeping his toast in his mouth.

"What are you doing so early in the morning?" She asked, rubbing her eyes while she approached her son. When she grew closer, she had noticed a few key differences. "What's that on your head? And did you start working out?"

Taking a glance down, Izuku knew he had a scrawny physique before, but now his physique was more lean with slightly more muscle than before. But that was hardly explainable when it had happened in less than a day and the same had gone for the horns on his head.

'What do I say? What do I say?' He mentally panicked, almost dropping the toast out of his mouth.

"Perhaps you can say it is your Quirk? A late start is not unheard of or you could say your power has been dormant." Shiori suggested, flying around Izuku for her own enjoyment.

"Kaa-san, it's... part of my Quirk," Izuku stammered, watching Inko approach him slowly.

When she was in front of him, she reached to grab the small black stubs on his head. Pulling them only hurt Izuku and trying to turn it hurt him again. Then, she hugged him.

"Kaa-san?" The freckled boy muttered, pulling his toast out of his mouth. Looking down, he could see Inko crying into his uniform top once more, but this time, he didn't hug her back. "I have to go."

Drawing her hands back, Inko wiped away her tears and looked at Izuku. "I'm sorry, I was just so happy for you." She told him while making her lips form a shaky smile.

"Thanks, Kaa-san," he said to her. Turning away, he opened the door and bit into his toast once more. Waving to Inko, he rushed out of the apartment complex.

Watching him leave, Inko wiped another tear away. "I'm so happy," she muttered before closing the door.

On his journey to school, Izuku kept running, boundless energy fueling him the entire way. This time, he traveled through the city and ignored those that had tried to converse with him. And the whole time, Shiori was flying beside him, unnoticed by the populace.

'Can you hear me?' He thought, glancing at the demon at his side.

"Yes, quite clearly too." She replied, passing through someone's body as if they weren't there.

'What else did you do to me?'

"Are you speaking of your body or the power I bestowed upon you?" She inquired further.

'The power.' He answered, not wanting to know what the woman could or already had done with his body.

"You can devour the soul of a living being." She stated, causing Izuku to stumble forward. Thankfully, he had caught himself before he fell to the ground. "The previous afternoon, you had devoured the soul of the villain. By doing so, you gained an enhancement based on the power of the soul."

'That was the power you wanted me to have as a kid!?'

"That is correct." She answered nonchalantly. "And you would have more power than your peers if you accepted all those years ago."

'Why did I have to get stuck with you?'

"Because my fellow demons choose partners with less potential. To be honest, you should be glad that I saw your raw potential."

Remaining silent, Izuku averted his eyes away from the woman.

"Be warned, I can always revoke the power I gave you."

Looking at her, Izuku stopped running and glanced at the gate of his school. 'Thank you, Shiori.'

Seeing her smile, the freckled wonder walked away. Entering the school building, he briskly walked to his class, ignoring the ghostly woman that had ventured around the halls. But he had halted when he heard:
