The sound of metal clanged with the ground as the blackened blade rattled before stopping leaving an eerie silence that was soon interrupted when droplets of blood began to patter around and on it.

Huffs of air escaped from a young orange haired man who's eyes were wide and blurry due to the red fluids dropping down his face, coating it enough to make him see nothing but red. There was nothing but panic and disarray that coursed through the body of the black clothed man as a shiver coursed down his spine as his motionless body stood still in the arena of the gods.

Y/n Kurosaki.

He is the final champion of humanity.

He is the final chance at victory.

He is . . . . . . . . .

The Last Hope.

A hand out stretched towards him making his already widened eyes shake at the sight that befuddled him. A soft hand placed itself on his blood soaked cheek causing Y/n to have the corners of his eyes filled with water that gave way to tears which threatened to pour down his face as a familiar voice resonated from the figure.

"Y/n. Why're scared? Come. Come back to me."

The hand proceeded to grab onto Y/n's bruised skin dragging down on the young adult who began to sink into a black abyss that swirled below his feet. They were then grabbed by rotted hands that pulled down on him more causing the orangette to look down in slight horror as more familiar faces crossed his mind only to make the swordsman look at the disfigured face of his mother.

Her eyes white and hollowed, hair ripped out leaving tuffets of orange on her cracked open head as she stuck out another one of her grey lifeless hands that continued to hold her son down who couldn't move even a finger due to the despair of humanity which had put a stop to the only champion left, allowing death to creep into not only his body.

But his soul.

What more could be done for him?
