Lucy's POV

"Battles." I replied smirking.

The class looked at me weirdly once again. "I guess that works..." Yukio said. I sat back down and was practically jumping in my seat.

"You like to battle?" Rin whispered to me.

"No, but there's someone that needs to be put in their place." I answered cracking my knuckles.

"Rin will not be participating." Yukio announced. "And, don't use your sword, Lucy."

"Aww, your no fun!" Rin and I pouted.

I jotted down a random note and raised my hand again. "I think, based off what I have learned about these people, this is how the battles should go." I handed Yukio my paper.

He nodded. "Alright, let's go."

He grabbed a key off his keyring and opened the door. I didn't know what to expect so I stayed next to Rin. when he opened the door, we were in a different place. I looked around, utterly confused and that's when I heard a familiar laugh.

"What's so funny, Streaky?" I ask.

"You seem like a newbie, are you sure you're trained enough to fight?" He asked, obviously holding back laughter.

"Nope." I answered honestly and walked towards Shiemi.

"Hi!" I said to her.

"H-Hello." She said timidly.

"Wanna be friends? You seem really nice." I say.

"Really?" Her eyes start to sparkle.

"Truely," I confirm.

She smiles and hugs me. When I look around we're on an open field. A little different from what I'm used to, but it'll do. Others begin to stretch their arms and legs while I just crack my knuckles, laughing evilly. Rin looks at me worriedly, but I wave him off.

"Alright, the first match is Lucy verses Bon." Yukio announces.

I already had a plan. This was gonna be fun. "I won't hold back." Bon warned me.

"I was gonna, but now I'm not." I said determined to win.

"Lucy, your sword." Yukio says. I sigh and hand him my sword.

"Ready... begin." He announces.

"You can summon, right?" Bon asked.

"You could say that..." I tell him.

He sits on the ground and starts saying words that I wasn't paying attention to.

I summoned Plue and said, "Attack with everything you've got."

Straky's chanting became faster, and when Plue just went up to him and start punching him lightly he was surprised.

While he, and everyone else, was still processing I figured out how to summon Loke.

"O, demons that are beyond my reach, pass through the gate! Leo the Lion!"

"You summoned, Princess?" He still looked the same.

"We're training, lend a hand?" I ask.

He nodded. I concentrated my powers, and burst into my golden flames. "I don't want to waste your energy, I think you can defeat him on your own." Loke said and disappeared.

Bon, still chanting, stopped for a second then started again. The ass looked at me as if I was a demon, well I was, but it wasn't fun to be reminded.

Suddenly, Bon stopped chanting right before I was going to summon Taurus. "I give up, this chick's crazy." He said and I stopped my flames.

"Luccccy Kick!" I kicked him. "That's what you get for giving up, Streaky! People like me never give up; it's insulting when others do."

He got up and glared at me. I walked over to Rin, and he looked at me and asked, "Plue isn't really that strong, is he?"

I smiled, "Nope. I summon him when I need company, or when Happy and Natsu wanted to hang out with him..."

"Next is..." I tuned out after I mentioned Natsu.

"-ucy, Lucy!" I snapped out of my daze.

"Yeah. What'd you need, Rin?" I ask.

"Yukio wants to know if you wanted to fight me since you didn't get the chance. You could use your sword." He teased.

"Hmmmm... sure!" I say.

"She said yes!" Rin yelled. The class gasped. Rin must be strong... I thought.

"No holding back?" I ask.

"No, not if you don't want me to." He said.

"Deal." I say.

Yukio handed me my sword, and the class stepped back. I took out my sword, and Rin did the same.

We unsheathed our swords at the same time, and went at eachother. I'm not really adept with swords, so I was learning along the way. I have read many books about swordplay and the sorts so I had an idea of what to do.

I had gotten slashed once, but it healed almost instantly. We clashed and our faces were inches apart. I got an idea.

"You catch on fast, I thought you never used a sword." Rin said.

"I, actually, haven't. Have you ever been hit by a magic attack?" I ask.

"Nope. Didn't know magic was real until about a week ago." He answered.

"Then I will say sorry in advance." I said, "Sorry."

"Survey the Heavens, Open the Heavens...

All the stars, far and wide...

Show me thy appearance...

With such shine.

Oh Tetrabiblos...

I am the ruler of the stars...

Aspect become complete...

Open thy malevolent gate.

Oh 88 Stars of the heaven...

Shine!

Urano Metria!" I chanted and hit Rin with the spell.

He was knocked unconscious, but got up after a few minutes. I giggled. "I think, I won." I told him.

He frowned and grumbled something that I couldn't hear. I turned around to see the entire class, including Yukio, staring at me dumbfounded.

Rin seemed to stay in his bad mood as we walked back to our classmates. I decided, just to make sure he wasn't mad at me, jump on his back.

When he fell he looked at me and yelled, "What the hell was that for?!"

"You seemed like you needed to be woken up." I giggled.

He didn't frown or smile, but I could tell he wasn't mad anymore. "She's crazy..." I heard Streaky whisper. I walked up behind him and pulled his tuft of blonde hair.

"What was that for?!" He yelled.

"Being rude." I said and walked towards Yukio.

"So, how did I do?" I asked.

"Better than most." He replied.

He announced that the session was over and it was time for lunch. I still wasn't used to Japan, so I stuck with Rin.

He went into a building, and I followed. "This is our dorm, where you'll be staying. Yukio and I share a room and you can pick one." He said and showed me around.

When we got to the kitchen he started to cook with a purple, mouse-looking thing. I watched as he used weird things to cook with in awe. His stove didn't run on magic, but it was like it.

Same with everything else in this country. It was more like a different world than a different country.

I mean, there are places kind of like this one in Fiore, but they're usually owned by rich people; I was never allowed in the kitchen Father forbade it.

I sat down with my chin on the table, eagerly watching the food. My tail swayed back and forth like an excited dog's would.

"Why are you excited?" Rin asked while cooking.

"I've never seen a country like this. It fascinates me." I reply.

"Yeah, it's like your country is a different world." Rin commented.

I smiled, "I was thinking the same thing."

Rin finished cooking and I stared at it for about 2 minutes before I actually tried it. It was delicious. I smiled and continued to eat. When I was done I saw a black cat with a split tail come in.

"Rin!" It said and ran to him.

"Hi, Kuro." he said and began to pet him.

"Kuro? Cute name, and how can he talk?" I ask.

"It's a demon-to-demon telepathy thing." Rin explained.

Kuro seemed to notice me, and walked up to me. He began to rub my legs like regular cats do. I pet him and picked him up and set him on my lap.

Rin looked at me then said, "You seem tired, you should sleep. You have classes tomorrow and you need to learn more about Japan and catch up with the other Exorcists here."

"If you give me books to read, I'll be able to find out things." I told him.

"Yukio will give them to you tomorrow. Your suitcase is in your room. I don't know the number, so you have to look for it." He said. I nodded and walked off.

I went to the room that was across from Rin and Yukio's and, sure enough, my stuff was there. I locked the door, changed into my pajamas then went I sleep.

I bet tomorrow's gonna be fun...
