Chapter 2 - K

"Alright, first off, fuck you," I leaned back in my chair so the back hit the wall and put my feet up on the desk. "And second, I don't feel like discussing this with you."

I could see a vein twitch at my professor's temple, and he clenched his jaw, but all he did was sigh.

"Kaiden," he said, his voice tight. "I know you got in here because your parents bribed the school board to let you in, despite that you were going to be accepted anyway, but that doesn't mean you get to just slack off in my class and take others down with you."

I scowled at him, curling my lip. "Not my fault your class is the most boring class ever," I retorted. "How many more times can we be taught about the same old shit?"

His vein twitched again, but he just sighed deeply. "Whatever, that's not why I need to talk to you." I raised my eyebrow when he said that.

"There's going to be a new student coming sometime in the next few days," he said. "He's coming from abroad. He will be transferring into our advisement when he gets here, so I need you to help him get comfortable. Your dorms will be right next to each other and your schedules are mostly matched up until he chooses a major, so it won't be too out of your way to help."

I groaned a little bit in annoyance. "Why me?" I glared at him a bit, then sighed before he could answer that question. "Where is he coming from anyway?"

"Japan," he sat down on the edge of his desk. "He speaks perfectly fluent English already so language barrier isn't an issue. I just need you to make sure he can keep up with classes and things here and help him if he needs it."

I sighed and nodded. "Fine," I caved. "Dunno, could be fun."

My professor smiled widely at me. "Great," he said. "You'll get an email when he gets here, but it could be the middle of the day so check your emails."

I nodded again, then he dismissed me. I left and went to my dorm, as his class was the last one I had for the day. I didn't have any dates tonight, so I just went and napped until it was time for dinner.

The next day, it was in the middle of my first class when I go the email that the new foreign student was here. I left the class and went to the front desk area, which took a couple minutes because the class I was in was on the other side of campus.

I met up with my advisement professor — Mr. Evans, who also happens to be my accounting basics professor — in front of the main office. Mr. Evans led me into the office and through the hallway to where the schedule counselor's office was. The office usually was empty, but that's where they printed the schedules.

"Mr. Tonebayashi," Evans said as we entered the room. There was a guy standing by the printer, probably waiting for it to print his schedule. That printer takes forever to actually print things too. He turned around when Evans said his name.

'Ooh damn,' I thought. The dude was fucking hot.

His skin was very fair, which was a little surprising to me, and his hair was black and appeared naturally curly. It was cut short, left a little longer on the top as well. His eyes were a surprising orange color, and though they had the angle and narrow-ness that Japanese people's eyes have, they were a little larger, and were more of a rectangular shape. His jaw was more angular and squared, his jawline sharp enough to cut butter. His lips were full as well. He was taller than me, and the curve of his muscle was pretty noticeable, especially on his chest, arms, and legs. His ears were pierced, and he had an industrial bar in one ear.

He looked at us with an almost bored look in his eyes, looking at Evans before looking at me.

"Kaiden, this is Jukaitazaki Tonebayashi," Mr. Evans said. 'Damn that's a tongue twister,' I thought.

"I know my name is hard to say, call me Julien instead," the new dude said, surprising me yet again. His voice is so deep.

"'Aight," I said. "You can call me Kai, then. I guess."

He looked like he was going to say something, but the printer stopped so he turned back around to get his paper from it. I looked up and down him again when he turned around, smirking a bit to myself. 'Nice ass.'

Evans made sure the printer hadn't fucked up Julien's schedule before leaving me to show him around. As Evans had said, the classes that Julien had matched up with the ones that I had, so I just showed him to his dorm room before taking him to my second class of the day— and Julien's first.

I basically did that the rest of the day, until around one, which is when both of our last classes of the day was. His dorm was right next to mine, so we were heading to the same place again. He didn't really talk to me on our way to and from classes, but that was fine; not like there was much to talk about anyway.

But damn, that dude is fine. I'm gonna make sure I get a piece of that before the semester is over. And I'm allowed to say that; I may have "dates" a lot, but the only thing they result in is sex. Actually, that's all I ever want to gain from them. The other person always knows that too; it's become sort of my reputation to do this anyway.

I decided to take a thirty minute nap before getting started on my schoolwork. Said schoolwork took me until dinner time, but I felt lucky that I got it done before my date at all.

The next morning, I woke up before the girl I had gone on a date with last night, and decided to get up and go out for breakfast instead of just eating a Pop Tart like usual. As I walked down to the dorm building's entrance I heard Julien's super deep voice from the dormitory's common area talking with a girl. I couldn't make out the words, and I didn't stop to listen, but based on the tone of their voices they weren't just having friendly conversation.

I chuckled to myself as I kept walking. 'Sounds like I have some competition.'
